Your Ideas for FIFA 08

There's many leagues that should be in the game, like for instance the Romanian League. Other countries have leagues that have teams that have been playing very well in European Competition, but go unnoticed in the Fifa games. I think the Romanian League is one very good example.There should also be an option to dive or simulate a foul. But this shoudn't be easy to do, you should have to dive with timing and only if the defender tries to get the ball. If you do it at the wrong time the referee should give you a yellow card. Also in Manager Mode, which is already good, there should be a reserve league, or youth league. Fifa 07 is a great game already, but I think some of the less-known countries deserve some spotlight. Such as Ghana, Ukraine, Romania, etc.. Teams like Steaua Bucharest, who are doing good in Europe, deserve more spotlight. Fifa 2007 is an awesome game, and these are just ideas that could make it even better.

don't stop making the games for PS2, some of us can't get the other systems.

I am writing to put my view across to you on how to improve your next game, FIFA 08. As these are just not my ideas, I have listened and taken note from my friends and family, who also enjoy the game, these points stretch across many FIFA Fans.
1. After moving to England, and watching many Football league games, I am sorry to say that the stadiums on FIFA do not truely represent the stadiums for those in the Coca Cola Leagues. Maybe a few alterations, or re -resigns perhaps?
2. Injuries only occur when a player is tackled, or states this in training. Alot of my friends have been saying it would be very good if players pull muscles during games, or towards the end, when fatigue kicks in, cramp. This would be very realistic.
3. Our final point was that keepers reactions animations could have more of a variety. Long shots that spin over the bar - The keeper just jumps with two hands in the air. This rarely happens in a football game. Maybe the keeper can watch the ball fly over the goal, instead of jumping like this.

As I had said, the main point I want to highlight is the stadiums that resemble the UK. These should be changed. I have read what others have said about these points, and have agreed that maybe you should base your new stadiums on actual league stadiums, as someone has said, DeepDale of Preston or Dean Court of Bournemouth; but not neccessarily these chosen ones.

Hey, how about keeper errors. Like the ball skims out the keepers arms from a long shot, or, and English fans remeber, Robinson style kicks. As seen in Croatia vs. England, Robinson miss kicked the ball totally, conceding a goal. Adding this would add a huge element of realism.

Yep, I totally agree. There are plenty of league 1 and 2 supporters. The stadiums that represent the leagues are AWFUL. I dont use this term much to relate to fifa, as it is, in my case, the best game around. Please Please re-design these. Not a bad choice about Preston and Bournemouth stadium style though.

I want a SUPERSTAR MODE!!
Like the one in Madden. You train your superstar and then you get bought buy a club and so on. In a match you only control your player. That would be an amazing feature!
Plz EA make a Superstar Mode for FIFA 08.

Forget about Pro Evo....FIFA is by far a more superior gam in terms of style, realism and yes, gameplay.

SPANISH/BRAZILIAN COMMENTARY!! Within the game as an option, would increase the humour factor leaps & bounds.

Emphasis on the stadiums - For example in FIFA 98:RTWC, there were short intro videos for each stadium. I personally felt this was a brilliant addition, giving the upcoming game a sense of more atmosphere

While on RTWC.......INDOOR MATCHES!!!!! Was the source of so much fun, millions of people want this addition, please EA PLEASE!!!

Double tap the buttons for volleying again!! In the last few games, volleying is more of a random phenomenon. Volleys make for great viewing as well as spectacular goals.

More crowd realism - random crowd shots maybe? even the managers!

Improvements that can be made:

LEAGUES

-add more leagues of the countries from the top 20 ranking countries of the world(this may mean adding a 100 teams into the game but with FIFA being played worldwide there wont be a shortage of local league researchers.

-Sort teams according to continent followed by league(for easier navigation).

EMOTION ENGINE

More player emotions after :

-Missed free-kicks(clutches head, covers head with shirt neck) and remove the missed free-kick reaction where the player will go dwon onto the ground and bang the grass with his fist repeatedly because it is too dramatic.

-Yellow/Red cards(Whole team rallies behind player being yellow carded by confronting the referee and forcing ref to walk backwards while the players walk forward as seen in the EPL).

-Substitutions(player gets angry for being subbed and throws water bottle at ground when given it,player being subbed high-fives the sub with both hands as seen in EPL).

-Opponent scores(keeper sits on the ground looking depressed, defenders clutching head, keeper punches the air in anger, keeper shouts at his defenders, keeper/defender grabs ball from the back of the net in fury and goal kicks it away to the middle of pitch, player putting hands at hips in disbelief, argument between two defenders over who was responsible for the goal).

-Remove Goalkeeper reaction to an opponent’s missed chance by scolding his defenders. That should only occur when the opponent scores instead of missed chances because it looks unrealistic to demoralize your defenders so frequently.

GAMEPLAY

-Add more varied match gameplay The opponents always seems to play the same way (same runs down the wing, same passes to the middle) until it become very monotonous. This has been a sore sticking point with all the FIFA titles. I suggest a totally random gameplay engine to be made. This means all passes and crosses are random meaning you will not know where the next pass is from just like in real life.

-Adjust the gameplay to more Pro Evo/Winning eleven teamplay tactics.This means no players should be allowed to solo run excessively.Make the whole team matter which means players should be rewarded with scoring opportunities for passing around. This is just like in real life where teams find a gap in the opponent defence after passing around.

-When player shoots, assume it is pointed at goal instead of the ball swerving away from goal like a cross

-Make the player use his initiative more often in terms of runs down the wing/middle, diving headers, bicycle kicks, scissors kicks. This means a player will attempt the best possible action(be it a shot, pass or last minute tackle) in the circumstance. I suggest giving the player about three animations/actions he can do in each situation. For example if defender is chasing a opponent in his penalty box and the opponent is about to shoot, make him attempt a desperate last-second slide tackle. Or the goalkeeper fouls a striker in a one-on-one situation in the penalty box.

-Introduce the Ole/Nutmeg trick. I haven’t seen this trick in the game. I can nutmeg a person with a pass but not in a one-on one situation.How well the player pulls it off depends on his dribbling and flair stats.

-Why are the goalkeepers like automaton robots who can save every ball at the higher difficulty settings? At the higher difficulty settings, the defenders ahould be made difficult to get past instead of the goalkeepers for realism.

PITCH ELEMENTS

-As someone said earlier, allow the ball to interact with the corner flag. Allow the ball to bounce off the corner flag and allow the corner flag to recoil after being hit by a winger who runs into the flag.

-Animate the nets more realistically when the ball hits the back of the net. If required, motion capture the goal net being hit by a ball and transfer into the game.

-More commentary. The commentary becomes boring after a while and I would prefer to switch it off. While it is good to hear the commentator saying the players actual names when they receive the ball, I would like more commentary when the player is running with the ball, the goalkeeper makes a save,

CREATION CENTRE

-Let us change any players hairstyle. This is important to allow us to keep the game as real as possible. For example Manchester United’s Louis Saha shaved his head clean but we cannot change this.

MANAGER MODE

- Have more transfer offers during transfer season. The current transfer market in Fifa 07 is quite “dead�. Increase the number of transfer offers by two times if possible.

-Increase ticket sales revenue. I think it’s too little.

-Introduce the complete youth team in the youth academy. That means I can pick from any of the 12-23 youth players to promote to senior team.

-Put more media comments like in Sega’s Football Manager 2007. Preferably add 20 more media comments or more.

ULTIMATE WISHLIST

-Integrate the EA Sports World Cup, Champions League and Fifa Manager games into FIFA. This will make FIFA the best and ultimate soccer game. I wouldn’t mind paying more for a great game. I also want to comment that while EA Canada has done a great job aesthetically, I suspect they do not know much about football/soccer. Get them to attend soccer matches in their area every weekend so they will understand how the gameplay should be. FIFA should capture the passion and realism of soccer matches instead of a robotic artificial “beautiful game�.

Please put at least two teams from the A-League( Australian League ) in their. Most preferably Adelaide United and Sydney FC. Please. Also allow the PSP to be able to create there own team on manager mode

Hey, I have a idea. Have keepers sent off for professional fouls if they foul a player when one on one! This would be awesome. Im sure everyone would agree with that. And one more thing. 6 second rule !!! At the moment, after 6 seconds have passed the goalkeeper kicks it automatically. What would be really cool is an INDIRECT FREEKICK. How imense would that be ! ! ! ! !

deep throws-ins from the side line inside the 18 are too easy to score, its too cheap, doesnt happen that often in real life!!

I know this is a long shot, but perhaps you should include stadiums from all leagues, especially the football leagues, as most people will agree, the Divi 1 and 2 stadiums look nothing like the what they are. In my opinion, you should create :-

You could do the same for each contry, but only release the stadium pack in the origin country, for instance, the english pack would only be avalible in the British version of Fifa 08. But please, include more lower league stadiums !!!!!!!!

What I think would be really cool is that in the middle of the game, a player can pull a muscle or land arwarkdly, resulting in an injury, as in Fifa 07, the only way in which injuries can happen is by a tackle, or in training. That will make it like the real thing, and spcie up the manager mode.

you know if graphic of this game upgrade in a good way i think it will become more popular in most of countries and if you use a stronger engigne it will use every kind of people especially for teenagers just like(( game mafia )) it had a very strong engine that worked with every graphic card so if fifa game be in this way it will be best even better than ((PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER)) THANK YOU

If you look at XBOX 360's FIFA 07 demo in between games you control Ronaldinho with "Ronaldinho cam", its an over the shoulder view of the player and is absolutely fabolous for dribbling with the ball and scoring all kinds of goals.


I would like to see this option available in FIFA 08

The defensive AI is atrocious, I've lost count of how many times a stray ball catches your backline out of position.

Also why did they take away the playmaking ability of the right analog stick? thats just dumb.

I know they can't include every league in the world but how about an all star mode where you see the best teams from every league go head to head. Kinda like the FIFA Club World Championship. haha they will probably make this another game you can buy for $60.

instead of the same modes. I think there should be a super star mode like madden 06 had. where u make your own player and control every aspect of his career and try to make a five star player. Not just his club career but his national career. i think this should replace the tournement mode.
i hope you will consederate because madden and nba live had similar modes and those games were very succesful.

Include quick free kicks. Include Fair play- that is when somebody is on the feel injured on the ground,the team that kicks the ball out of play so the person can get help should be thrown back the ball. Include diving PLEASE.

I am an American and first and foremost FIFA is the best franchise. Although this is true I feel FIFA has not truly made itself representative to those in the middle east, africa, asia, or oceanic nations. I would like FIFA 08 to include: Indoor futsal, Being able to create a player from scratch and making him into a star. This would also include him being able to be called up for international duties. I agree with Guru Raghavendran on his Ideas 1,3-6,8,11,12. There should be a mode like NBA the Life or MLB the Show. Better customization of players like more hair and real boots such as adidas, nike, puma, umbro, etc. More confrontations are important to add to the realism of the game. When a player makes a bad tackle there should be more drama insuing from the poor tackle.There needs to be a way to dive or make fouls happen. We should be able to see the managers shouting instructions from the sidelines, and these managers should look "realistic" meaning real faces. When the temperatures change the players sleeves should change and gloves should be used as well. There should be awards at the end of the season where you can actually see players receiving them. There needs to seriously be more teams. The emphasis of FIFA lately has been to have more teams but honestly they havent done enough. EA needs to add more teams from around the world. Add the J league as well as other leagues in the middle east as well as asia and the australia. Africa also has some leagues that should be added. FIFA needs to represent every continent some how. Finally the national teams in FIFA 08 should be far greater and include the teams from 08 but also teams like Iran, Israel, Senegal and other decent footballing nations.

please add more african teams plus also a more realtic news after the games in the Manager mode like a photo of the goal or a trick or maybe a red card that changed the game

when a player without the ball but going towards the ball gets fouled in the box, usually the penalty call is never made, that has to be a glitch, also include all the international teams and more team jerseys

Include international teams in career mode,
get rid of create a team as the standard of kit desighn is poor,
we shud be able to see the ref in gamplay,
every 2 years in career mode add a create a kit option just make it more like pes instead of that sad excuse you put in fifa 07 but of course your kit sponsor will have to stay the same,
In career mode you shud get money for wining cups and leagues from your board not just sponsors wen they feel like it as it is currently unrealistic,
Fifa 07 is best fifa yet but is still beaten by Pro but next year as the ps3 and 360 will be the main consoles you will have no excuse as im shure every one expects you to come up with the goods

I think you shold have the argentian league because their are many agrentians transfering over. You should of had a better youth academy and have the option to play their games. And one for fifa world cup 2010 you shold have like a 35 year world cup dynasty and you can recurit players and nationalize players.

one more thing, if it only has the premier division, i will absolutiey hate it because the 1st division is class not rubbish like ye think it is.

why isnt the eircom league in it? Why does everybody under rate it? I would like to see it in fifa 08 and if it isnt i probably wont get the game ever again unless it is in it

Include 2on2 Mode and make fifa more arcade, stop this random situations.
And please improve the keeper skills when he comes out of his goal.

Holland should be included in the list of International teams, and due to the changing attitude in football, players should be allowed to make deliberate dives in order to add to the realism. Also, one of the previous games (can't remember which one) had a feature in management mode that allowed you to train a specific player to improve their ability, I'm sure that would help the gameplay.

I have bought all of the fifa games from 2003-07 and i love them, but somethings missing
I would like to see:
- More weather changes
- Substituting ( see the players go off the court and in)
- See the coaches
- More international teams like Ivory Coast etc..
- More crowd activity
- International tournaments
- Career with international team
- More things to do when you're making a new player
- More boots and hairstyles
- Possibility to change the World team players
- Fighting between the players
- More leagues like russian etc...
- More things to laugh about ( Loved the throw in thing you made)
- Possibility to make you're own stadium
- Indoor soccer
- Captains shaking hands before match start and possibility to change referee
- When there is an serious injury the player is off the field when you continue playing ( he can't still be there)
- snow and players wearing gloves when its cold
- See the coach talk to the team in the break and players drink water?
- Netherlands/Holland in International (This is a great team, why isn't they in the game?)
- More real faces and normally fans
If you can make ths thing to Fifa 08 ,the game would be great, but now, PES is better than you on this things. Good luck!

gameplay should be more like pro evolution soccer

FIFA08 should have:
- All liecensed leagues + unreal names.
- Youth football.
- Women football.
- Football academy.

I miss the 5 a-side option from Fifa 98, was good for a laugh when you're messin about with mates.
Also, the old R1 'Hack' button, where you could lunge at a player when you got frustrated was always good fun. (Red card for challenging the keeper)
Being able to challenge the keeper when the ball is in the air, or 50-50 would be nice.
Fifa2007 is annoying when defending, if you switch player it usually gives a player the wrong side of the ball, closer to the opposition goal, rather than the next closest player between the ball and your goal, so you have no chance of making a tackle.

well here r di features dat should be included:
1) When certain players run, their hair should move to add more realism, for example lionel messi.
2) It would be interesting to have a game mode where instead of being a manager, you are an actual player.
3) Include Russian League.
4) In Create Player Mode, please allow the player to name their player with one name, for example, ronaldinho had one name in the game, so why cant our created players have one nickname.
5) Allow unlimited editing of players.
6) Please don't put Ronaldinho on the cover AGAIN, put Thierry Henry or Francesc Fabregas, etc.
7) Please install a mode where we can use an installed webcam and take a picture of our face in a fixed position directed by the game to use for created players.
8) Please make the game more about dribbling and tricks because a large amount of money is made in that part of football.

go back to the trick stick as in fifa 06 it was much better that way, have mini games, in 07 you can only practice, play a game and go manager mode, mini games like indoor soccer and such, and be able to train a player(s), that would be cool have them do physical drills, technical drills and mental drills, all that apply to soccer

when there's a clear one v. one vs keeper, have it be able to play as the goalie and make your own save...its too easy to score otherwise...on corners and free kicks have to arrows back in the game like fifa 06, involve the referre a little more dont make him completely invisible to the game, thx

It is clear that the CPU,which we play with as an opponent, is very weak, even when it is on world class level ! I think it's necessary for the opponent to become more powerful than this on next version or you can add the perfect level as an option for every match. thank you!

Look ... FIFA 07 has all the strongest leagues in the europe? Why then there isn't croatian first league: 1.hnl ožujsko.? That is not one of the strongest leagues in the europe,but neither are swiss league, american leauges (except brazilian and argentinian!) and especially not the english fourth leauge! think about it (please)

I would like to be able to play as the goalie. For instance in NHL 06 you could lock onto a position and control the goalie and try and defend for the team. I think it would be neat to be able to do the same but as a goalkeeper. Prehaps have it so it is a behind the goalie view so he can see the shot and could react and see only what a real goaltender would see. I think that would be so much fun.

Each players and teams AI should be like its real-life counter-parts.For eg choosing blackburn rovers n playing them against Brazil should be like the real thing i.e. loosing to Brazil 8-0.That makes real sense because people these days are now more informed about what's happening in the football world.Not that I'm saying that a real life good team has to always win in-game but a not-so-good real-life team should struggle hard in-game to make ends meet.There should also be bonus material included in the standard disc such as player interviews,developer interviews,making of the game u know what I mean.There should also be tonnes of unique cut scenes in game for bookings,fouls etc so that the player dosen't get bored seeing them over and over again.The spectators should have different animations with different movements and detailed animations and not looking like a bunch of clones as it currently has now which will make each gameplay unique.The presence of an intro is highly appreciated and recommended.Defence and attack of each team should be balanced out so that so that there's no sense of injustice.And finally scoring a goal from half the field should be possible depending on angle,players speed etc.Computer players should be more supportive and always help to get you out from sticky situations.After all, soccer is a coordinated effort, not a one-man army.

You should put a newgame mode which contains one player's career ... first u create his looks than u start ur school of football ... sign for club and play for ur club u start with an overall of i don't know 66 and than u build ur overall with trainings and matches....

heres an idea when u create a player u can use the eyetoy camera to take a photo of urself and then put it on the player so that it looks like u. and also i would like 2 see a create a stadium option to create ur own stadium.

PES with licensed teams and leagues - thats what I mean when thinking about Perfect Football Simulator.
1. I wanna see Russian Premier-League in new FIFA. Really, brasilian players from our league (like Wagner Love and Daniel Carvalho, for example) are playing in Brasil National; 4 russian teams are playing in euro-cups, and now its one of the most powerful leagues in Europe, except 5-top-leagues and some other, like Portugal.
2. I wanna see Argentinian League - yeah, it would be interesting to play in it, because of:
3. Realistic Libertadores Cup, its third important club-competition in the world for me. After UEFA Champions League and UEFA CUP, of course.
4. I want to see Training Mode and some stats to do, like:
a) Injuries stats - Every player have basic injury-stats, for example from 0.2 to 1 percents. When you foul on player, he gains +0.1 or +0.3 (its random, yeah) percent of injury. And every time you foul, this system is defining chance of injury. Every day of vacation this system is reducing injury-stats to 10 percents of this results to basic. For example:
Player has 0.5 basic, then it was three fouls on him in game, and next game is 5 days later.
0.5 + 0.7 = 1.2 * 50% = 0.6, where 0.6 - is percent of injury in next game.
Then, Gamer need to play more carefully in trainings and to vary structure of the game when some player need to have a rest. And yeah, Gamer must see that stats of course, and its not an tiredness stats, but it may influence on it too :)
b) Gamer can make some graph of shape. Every player have own points for that, and Gamer can choose peaks of his shape (number of peaks and their ‘quality’ - is what players own points mean). So, Gamer need to train team for the most important matches in seasons by this system :)
5. It kinda weird, but… Woman National Teams - it can be bonus-mode or some patch, but everyone loves women (esp. woman ;)) Ratings of a game may increase in one moment after that! Just think about how many girls want to play in football-for-girls ;)
6. A lot of bonuses like in PES. I played a lot of it even when i didn’t want to play. But i wanted to open ALL! Add videos of tricks, dribbling, goals and saves! Add secret national teams (like Woman, a ha, or classic Brasil and France), add classic players!
7. Realistic referees. He can make a mistakes in offsides, in penalty (very cruel? but its real world ;))
8. Cheating on the field. Just think about it - falling in penalty area with 5 percents of penalty shot and 60 of yellow card. And of course its not fair, but… eh… let it be one of modes that turned-off in default.
*really, sorry that commented leagues from voting poll, i just think that i need to say what i want to see in new game*

In training camp your created players should learn all the moves they achieve by beating cups and by your performancs of the match and you should get new moves and learn them as achievements.

More moves that leaves the oppenents cofused and have the user select the goalie. Also have training for your goalie like his reactions to the ball. And mmmmmmmmoooooooooorrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeee soccer moves.

Fifa 08 should have more moves like flipping over your oppenent and more volley shots. Better graphics and more realestic and also training camps or training for your created team. You should be able to create your team,coaches and have training camps to improve your players. In multiplayer their should be mini games and more mini games. The game also should have better and more realistic shots like shots that curve the way Beckham does it. Also pick your created team (each players) taunts after a goal or on the field taunts.

It would be desirable that goalkeepers could earn yellow cards and removals!

Fifa 08 should have a more realistic career mode such as award ceremonies, player presentations after a transfer and after a certain amount of recognition that the manager recieves they should be able to scout and coach their national team in a world cup and continental competitions such as UEFA, CONCACAF etc.

add an entirely new individual aspect to the game. in the previous FIFA's every player has a "playing style" (shot stopper, clynical striker, midfield maestro and more) but they all seem that same. Every player (at least star players such as ronaldinho, messi, rooney, totti) has his OWN UNIQUE MOVES, such as when you combo trick stick+ left, tricks will vary with every player (for example trick stick+ left /w ronaldinho will preform a double fake, and with totti itll make a strong sprint to the left) and also the same with kicks, ronaldinho will attempt with a regular kick to take a few steps back and bend the kick, when totti will go straight forward and blast the ball. Also just like in fifa 2007 with every player has his playing style (as mentioned above), the same will be for every team! a team could be a defensive bunker, and another could be a pressing attack...

make it easier to do great skills and put the refs on the pitch.
and put the real reserve teams on the game!!!
and make a super team for each league and timewarp teams like liverpool 70's and other teams . oh and its about time you did better grafix!!!!!
