The controls were good enough in FIFA 07 for the PS2. The gameplay was poor in FIFA 07 for xbox360. The way the players shoot the ball looks strange and unrealistic at times. The game is also to fast and it seems like they are shooting the ball at 100 miles per hour. Some player models are also too stocky or fat than they really are. Please improve. Atleast 3 replays after every goal would be nice. Longer goal celebrations. When winning the final in any tournament there should be lots of celebrating. Have the captain hold up the trophy just like the World Cup and UCL. Try to make it so watching someone play FIFA 08 looks like watching football on tv to the best of your abilities.
Thank You.
Fifa Phenom
Overview
This game/(game mode) is all about becoming the best player in the world. You control every aspect of his life. From training days to going out with friends to buying new cars and houses. It’s the total phenom experience. You start out as a 10 year old playing for a youth team. Get scouted out to play for a youth team of a professional club. Work your way through the ranks and if you’re playing well get offered a contract to play pro. Impress the manager through day-to-day training and get into the starting eleven. Play out the whole career hopefully winning awards like golden boot awards or if your lucky world player of the year. Decide to retire early even though you would be leaving the game on a low or try to comeback and play a couple seasons and retire on a high.
Create The Player
Pick the type of parents the player has. (nationality, job, personality, body type). The country he lives in. The city he lives in. The type of neighborhood he comes from (poor, rich, middle class). Then pick the players own traits (personality, school grades). (Note: User does not select attributes because they are based on these selections). Once the user selects all of this his player is created based on the selection he has made. The player has a position and all of his attributes been created.
The Beginning
You play for your local team for one season (Fall – Outdoor, Winter – Futsal, Spring – Outdoor). You start on the bench. But if your do good in training and get high ratings then you can work your way into the starting line up. If you play well in the fall season then your coach selects you for the winter futsal team. Your player will grow fast technically playing futsal so hopefully you get selected (instead of training days during the winter, there should just be an option to juggle on the main menu screen. (This could improve player’s footwork, first touch, technique, and flair). You play futsal through the winter and then come spring your back out on the pitch. Everything is the same as fall except the fields are green now and the weather is more likely to rain. When the season ends scouts from professional teams offer you to play for their youth team. You select what team you want to play for
Your on your way…
Once you’re on a youth team your schedule gets a little more tighter. Your training more times a week, your getting more homework cause your in high school now and you have to manage to hang out with your friends to keep you happy. Now you go through the ranks (U12 – 18) playing other youth teams from that professional league. The format of fall, winter and spring are the same as when you were with a youth team. But now your playing a harder opposition and your trying to impress the head coach of the professional team so you can get offered a contract and fulfill your dream of becoming the best player in the world. Once you turn 16 your youth team coach asks the head coach to take a look at you for one of your practices. If you do well and impress him then he might offer you a contract but he might he wants to see more of you and come to one of your games later on. But if you play poorly then he won’t even bother looking at you and you’ll have to wait another season. Note: Once you turn 16 you become a free agent on the transfer market and could possibly get offered a contract from another team if not offered one from the team you’re on.
Prodigy?
The year you turn pro is very important because you will gain experience faster as a younger player and in-turn that makes your player better and will help a lot in the long run. Now that you’re young and a professional your competition just got harder. You’ll be competing to get in the game let alone on the starting eleven. You need to have good ratings in training and they will have to be consistent. Training will be longer so you will have less free time. But it’s still early in your career so not a whole lot of people care about you. Autograph sessions and sponsor commercials will hopefully come later. Once you manage to get in a game, you will need to play good. One bad game could see your riding the bench for a while. If you manage to play good coming off the bench and your doing excellent in training, the head coach will announce his starting line up a few days before the game and you might be in it. One bad training day before the game though could get you off that list. Once you manage to get in the starting eleven, that’s when your career really takes off.
Career
Now your in the starting eleven almost every game a season and your players attributes continue to rise because of good training and good morale. Your coach now has a set of objectives he wants you to meet. These objectives depend on your player’s position. For example if he is a: forward then score a certain amount of goals, winger then get a certain amount of crosses, center midfielder then get a certain amount of assists, defender then have a certain amount of successful tackles. Meeting these goals will boost your status and if you win awards like golden boot award in your league then that will also help boost your status.
Becoming a World Class Player
To be recognized as a world-class player then you have to be playing on your national team. If you’re good enough then you’re asked to come to a training session with your national team over a summer. Once you make your national team then you play a couple friendly games and world cup qualifying games over your club season and play in national team tournaments during the summer. If you’re not selected then hopefully you have a good season and next summer you will get asked. Every 4 years the world cup happens and hopefully you make the squad. If you have an excellent tournament then your become a world class player but if don’t you gain great experience which will help your player grow but his status will not change he his morale will drop extremely low. The world cup format works like the season with training days and game days.
Becoming The Best Player in The World
The only way to become the best player in the world is to be consistent at being the best domestically and nationally. If you do this then you will receive the best player in the world award anywhere from the ages of 27 and 32. It’s between these ages because that’s when players are at their best and because those are the ages of the people who usually get picked for the award.
Retiring
Deciding on when to retire is very important. The game asks you if you want to retire after every season once you hit 30 years of age. If your career was not fulfilling and you’re coming off a bad season and poor form then you probably wont want to retire. But it will be harder to get into the starting line up as younger, more promising players are coming up just like you were when you started. You will need to be playing your best day in and day out. If your 32 years old and just had an excellent season and your career has been everything you dreamed then you might want to retire. You will be leaving the game on a high and your fans and the soccer world will remember you for your greatness and not your disappointing years after the greatness.
Game Tips
Training Days
This is where you will be playing most of the game early on. You control your player during drills that your coach has told you to do. Your coach will divide the team up between the forwards, midfield, and defenders. These are the drills that boost your stats.
- If your player is a forward then your drills consist of finishing crosses (boosts heading and shot accuracy), breakaways (boosts finishing and shot accuracy), one v one drills - attacking (boosts dribbling and ball control) and penalty kicks (boosts shot accuracy and shot power)
- If your player is a winger then your drills consist of crossing to the forwards (boosts crossing), long passing (boosts long passing), short passing (boosts short passing), one v one drills - attacking (boost dribbling and ball control), and fitness drills (boosts stamina as these players need to be in the best shape)
- If your player is a center midfielder then your drills consist of long passing (boosts long passing), short passing (boosts short passing) long shots (boosts long shots), one v one drills - defending (boosts tackling), and one v one drills - attacking (boost dribbling and ball control)
- If your player is a defender then your drills consist of heading (boosts heading), one v one drills - defending (boosts tackling), player trains with weights on (boosts strength and speed), long passing (boosts long passing), and short passing (boosts short passing)
At the end of the drills the team has short scrimmage that is only equivalent to the half of a real game. This helps build team chemistry but can also make it worse if players get selfish or consistent bad tackles from the same players can lead to argument.
Training Ratings
After every training day you receive a training rating just like a match rating. You compare your rating to the other players in your position. Hopefully you did well and the coach will consider using you. If you did not then consider reserving yourself a spot on the bench in advance. Missed shots, poor passes, missed timed tackles, and a bad performance in the scrimmage will lower your training rating.
Futsal
For those of you that don’t know, futsal is similar to indoor soccer. Futsal is played indoors and on a smaller surface. Only 5 players are allowed on the field for each team including the keeper. Futsal will help improve a player’s ball control, dribbling, and short passing. Note: This is only available to the user while he is not pro and/or during his free time.
Experience
Experience is gained by playing in matches. The younger you are the more experience you gain. The more experience you have, the faster your player will grow.
Morale
Morale is gained by going out with your friends or the team, or buying a new house and car. A low morale will keep your player from growing and can affect school grades.
Free Time
After training days you will have some free time. You can call your friends or teammates to go clubbing, to a movie, to a mall, play a pick-up futsal game, or just invite them to your house to hang out. These all have different affects and whom you do them with also makes a difference. Your image is very important as the media, the club, teammates, and fans will judge your every move.
Transferring to a New Club
Once you turn pro you will have to pick an agent to handle all your business. You will have to pay for the agent’s services so do not just sign anyone. Make sure you choose an agent that best suits you. When the transfer period opens and you are available, your agent will let you know what good deals from other clubs have come in. You do not have to pick those clubs if you don’t want to but if you are a free agent then you must because if you didn’t then you would waste a whole year. Once you’re at a new club you will need to buy a house and vehicle. Sometimes a club will buy you a house or a car if they wanted you a lot.
Sponsors
When you start making a name for yourself then sponsors will be after you. Different sponsors offer different advantages so make sure you read the contracts before signing. Some sponsors may offer a lot of autograph sessions and a massive signing bonus. The autograph sessions will give you a lot of exposure and help your status but it will also take up a lot of your free time. Unless your player is happy all the time that would not be a good choice.
Player Status
Your player status lets you know your players status in the soccer world. A player’s status rises as he gains experience and exceeds the expectations everyone has for him.
1. Nobody
2. Hopeful
3. Rookie/Prodigy (If turned pro at 16)
4. Professional
5. Hometown Hero
6. World Class Player
7. Best Player in the World
Picking Your Parents
Picking your parents affect how your player will turn out. You decide where you live, nationality, job, body type, and personality.
- Deciding Where You Live: Pick the country your living in and the type of neighborhood you come from. If choose to live in Portugal then scouts from professional teams will most likely be from Portugal and you might get a couple from another country. If choose to live in a 3 different types of neighborhoods: Wealthy, Middle-Class, and Poor. This dictates the jobs your parents have.
- Parents Job: Pick the job of your mom and dad. Your options depend on the type of neighborhood you chose to come from.
o If you picked a wealthy area then your parents will high paying jobs. Since your player comes from a wealthy area, he will most likely be pampered and get everything. This will cause his attacking attributes to be really high and defensive attributes to be really low or vise versa. Your parent’s jobs dictate which is high and which is low so choose the jobs that will make your player the way you want them too.
o If you pick a middle class area then your parents will have average playing jobs. Since your player comes from an average life, his attributes would be the same all-around.
o If you pick a poor area then your parents will have low paying jobs. Since you come from a tough life your not always able to play. Your usually just playing in your street with no positions. This causes some attacking and defensive attributes to be really high and others to be really low. Example: If you are a defender then your heading and longs passing might be really good but your tackling and short passing might be bad.
- Parents Nationality/Body Type/Personality: Your parent’s nationality dictates your nationality. Their body type dictates your body type. Their personality dictates how much aggression, leadership, and composure you have. You choose if your parents are strict, laid-back, or leads by example. These attributes could help you become the captain of your team one day.
Player Appearance
Once your player is created you get to change his face so that he looks more like you. You pick his boots, sock height, and all the accessories like you would in Fifa Soccer 07.
Making Decisions
You control every aspect of his life. An example from early in the game ==> From how well he does in training to when he decides to do homework, every decision matters! For example, if you decide to hang out with your friends instead of doing your homework before practice then your morale will go up. But you will get home after training and be fatigued. If your lucky and don’t have a lot of homework then its ok because you will be able to get some sleep. But if you have a big project then you wont get much sleep and your grades will drop causing you to get grounded by your parents. You will miss your practices and wont play in games.
Awards
Your player is able to receive many awards through out his career. Whether it’s a man of the match to a world player of the year award, they are all worth winning.
1. Man of the Match
2. Best XI of the Month
3. Best XI of the Season
4. Golden Boot
5. Best Player of the Tournament (Tournaments)
6. European Player of the Year
7. North American Player of the Year
8. South American Player of the Year
9. Asian Player of the Year
10. Australian Player of the Year
11. African Player of the Year
12. World Player of the Year
-before the second half put a cinematic like fifa99
-when make a substitution put a cinematic
-a more realistic nets more detail to the turf
I am from Norway.
- In fifa 2008 you maybe can change the weather yourself and maybe have "snow".
- I would also like more teams and maybe more correct looks on not famous players too.
- When you create a player much more things can be done, like shoes, standard looks, hair, and celebrations.
- Easier ways to do tricks and more
- More leagues
- More tournaments (Champions League maybe?)
- More audience/crowd details
- Audience screem out player and team names
- More colors in the game like get rid of that yellow color on the stadiums, get more green stadiums.
Thank you!
i think all star players should have a special move bar which starts empty at the start of a match and then gradually during the game fills up many times...depending on how much ball the player has and shots on goal ...when that bar fills up ...we can apply a special move during the match which will look like sth they would have done in a real TV match...u can get the idea better if someone has played WWE series...there also a bar fills up for a wrestler and then they can execute special moves...it wll be alot of fun and then would really define the man marking feature..where players would mark star players in the other side to stop their respective bars from filling up
Wanted:
- a more complex level of the play
- a more high level IQ
- a possibility quarries and plays by only one player (as in FM 07)
- and less Sims in play Fifa
And with many thanks for remarkable play!!!!
I from Russia. In advance I am sorry for my bad English.
I would like, that in FIFA 2008 have added an opportunity of creation of new stadiums. For the leagues which are passing in cold northern countries, it is possible to add snow weather conditions.
Also I would like to see in FIFA 2008 more than new leagues, ESPECIALLY RUSSIAN PRIME-MINISTER LEAGUE. I cannot understand, why it is not present, in fact the Russian championship is much more interesting than some leagues entering in FIFA.
In the Russian clubs plays many good players, including players of leading national combined teams. Or if it is impossible, then add some the Russian football clubs (Lokomotiv Moscow, CSKA Moscow, Spartak Moscow, Zenit St.-Petersburg) in " Rest of the world ", and also stadium " Locomotiv " and "Luzniki" in Moscow.
Thanks you for the opportunity given to us to state our ideas and requests for FIFA 2008.
Copa Sudamericana
Add the best conmebol ranked teams:
(1-6) Already in the game
7- Banfield
8- Liga de Quito
9- Cerro Porteno
10- The Strongest
11- Penarol
12- Already in the game
13- Junior Barranquilla
14- Already in the game
15- U de Chile
16- U Catolica
17- Quilmes
18- Once Caldas
19- Independiente Medellin
20- America Cali
Please add Colo Colo , cause will be the Sudamericana Champion.
- Conference
- Scottish League (1,2,3)
- Russian
- Iranian
- Argentinian
- Japanese
- Australian
You should have league XI's.... Premiership XI, Serie A XI
However i am pleased to say that fifa 07 is a great effort and has really given konami something to think about. The new graphics engine is superb, and you have really paid attention to detail. the characters faces look great this year.
Improvements:
Better Free kick system
work more on commentary, repetitive commentary becomes annoying
allow players to be able to take longer range shots at goal
maybe even a free roaming system, which allows you to walk around stadium in 1st person mode. E.G, training pitch, locker room, gym,
instead od using icons.
if you do this then order will surely be restored and pro evolution soccer can crawl back under the rock it came from.
because:
1.iranian football has good player in germany, italy, england and spanish...
for exanple:Ali Karimi,Mehdi Mahdavikia,Vahid Hashemian,Ashkan Dejagah,Fereydon Zandi,Rahman Rezaee,timotian,Javad Nkonam.
2.iranian football has one best forward in world, that he has 110 national goal in diverse match.
3.degree iranian football in asian is first and he has 38 in world.
4.azadi stadium in iran have 100,000 fan and this stadium is very big and beautiful.
-More Southamerican Soccer!
-Indoor Games (at least just for training mode)
-New ways of "trofy gained" celebration.
And one last thing I was leaving behind: When the ball gets in the net it doesn't looks too real yet, in spite of the very good progress that has been acomplished since FIFA 06.
The net needs more flexibility, more life.
Espero que mi opinión sea tomada en cuenta.
I hope my opinion will be considered.
PLEASE INSERT IRANIAN LEAUGE IN YOUR NEW VERSOIN OF FIFA
I think that you should give more emphasis in the soccer of South America....
Put the libertadores...and other champs like the argentino...

1. I am playing FIFA from the 98 series, and I've never seen that a yellow or a red card has been given for the handball.
2. Only freekicks are given for the handball and never a penalty (it's very difficult to observe the handball, but sometimes when I played, I observed that the handball was made in goalkeepers area (sorry I don't know how it is called in English) and nothing happened).
3. Why there is no button for simulation? Don't u think that the game will be more interesant if there will be a possibility to simulate :). Of corse with the possibility to take yellow cards for simulation :).
4. When I play career mode, in Europe I can play in Champions League and UEFA Cup tornaments, why there is absent Copa Libertadores?
5. And finally, the weakes point of the FIFA (from my point of view) is that the FIAFA is less dynamic then PES. In FIFA there are always standard situations, standard places and standard shoot power that leads you to goal. Very often players only reaches the known place on the stadium and shoots and scores. It's not normal.
So as conclusion:
I would like to see in FIFA following:
1. Cards and penalties for handballs.
2. Simulation.
3. Copa Libertadores (at least in Career Mode).
4. More dynamic play.
p.s. Could you includ more comentators? Cause sometime I am sick and tired of Andy Grey and the second one (can't remind his name). And I would like to see the Romanian Burger League and Russian League.
Also when losing a game badly at home the crowd gets madd and starts too disrupt game amd police has to be called to calm them down. When you do a substitution in the menu, let the player warm up, before he could get in thepitch. Let us know with a status bar when he is ready & then make him approach to thesideline to make the substitution.
The difficulty is not hard enough.
Bueno ojala comprendan las peticiones de este faatico de fifa, poruq sigo fifa desde 1998 cuando salia el futsal, y hasta hoy en dia que ya tengo el fifa 07 para pc
Penalty Shootout.
like the Manager Mode...bring in INDIVIDUAL PLAYER MODE..by which u can create your own player and /or choose your own player from a team and play only with him. yea, i really mean FIRST PERSON or TP..with improved cameras. take control of only one player while your team plays the way the manager(yourself) manages it.
you can make it in 2 modes. one in normal matches.. you can play as a team (the normal way you have right now) and the option to choose one player (the camera should change with an option of first person or third person)
2nd mode > player managing.
create your own player and play as him... from a youth player to a legendary footballer..over the years. manage the team as coach/manager+ play as one player with an option of choosing ONLY playing for a single player which means...if we dont play well, we dont get much salary, we would be transfer listed, we can be injured. we can be subbed.. so, it means..more realistic play and each player will love to fight for his chance ..for his existance in a team.. starting from the youth team...
More realistic players
More signature players
Skills working more effectively
Practice Challenges
More Boots with more accuracey
More realistic Kits
More International teams (e.g. Ghana Brapp !!!)
More effective and visible attributes
Champions league and Uefa Cup
World Cup
European cup
Other Continental Competitions ( African Cup of Nations)
All these will b ideal for a football game
Fifa 07 is GReat Game and is Probaly better than Pro 6
Another feature which should be include is when a rival team is level on goal difference and they need to win or draw to either Stay up and avoid relegation or To get the final champions league spot or win to progress through to the Knock out stages from in the Champions league they should be a little bulletin screen
like what happended in the 2003-2004 Premiership season in Survival Sunday the last day of the season
some ideas for fifa08
-add more boots in game from real companys
-add russian primer league
-ablity to create coustom teams with more varations from kits, coustom staduims, flags, fans etc
-more internatinoal teams
-deeper manager mode, like preseason, practice, design setplays , modify jersey ,
