Here Is My Team Of The Season And reason’s Why I Picked Each Player
Formation
4-3-3
GK- Alisson Runner Up- Marc Andre Ter Stegen
This my be a controversial pick because I assume most people will pick ter-stegen but here me out sure ter-stegen was amazing last season but this season he hasn’t looked the same meanwhile Alisson has been consistent all year round making outrageous saves and being the best Goalkeeper on the planet if any other Goalkeeper was in goal for livepool last season they would of finished mid table
RB- Trent Alexander Arnold Runner Up’s- Jeremie Frimpong & Achraf Hakimi
Last Year trent was shambolic defensive but towards the end of last season klopp played him in more off a Midfield roll and he has looked like a different player get goals and Assists from beginning to end of the year and has definitely improved defensively aswell but shout out jeremie frimpong and Achraf Hakimi who has been in fine form as well for there respective Clubs
CB’S- Ronald Araujo & William Saliba Runner Up’s- Virgil Van Dijk & Kin Min Jae
Look I understand if people disagree with me on Araujo but saliba should be In everyone’s team he is the best defender on the planet arsenal would have won the prem if he didn’t get injured but he is back to best and is even better now this season he has a bright future ahead of him now let’s talk about the other cb spot you can make arrangements for all 3 of these cbs but I pick Araujo for his brilliant performance last season and even though he hasn’t been as good for barca he still gets the job done I don’t think van dijk could be picked because of last season however this season he has turned things around and is the second best defender in the prem I was also really close to putting in kin min jae but I just think Araujo has been better this year buy a little bit but it is close
LB- Alejandro Grimaldo Runner Up- Theo Hernandez
Grimaldo has been undeniable all year for benfica he was the brain of the team he was what made it work and we can see the affect of him not being there due to them barely qualifying for Europa League only getting 4 points in there Champions league group however Grimaldo for Leverkusen has been on another level scoring goals for fun as a left back banging in free kicks and dominating the game when he plays I always saw the potential and singed him in pretty much every career mode I thought he would do well at a club like Liverpool or Barcelona glad to see he is making his mark theo Hernandez is also doing pretty well for Milan so shoutout to him
CDM- Rodri Runner up- Declan Rice
I don’t think I need to explain this one very much we have already seen the affects of rodri not playing in the man city he is such an important player and is maybe even best defensive player in the world however I think people are overlooking declan rice last season he captained west ham a European Trophy witch Is already a pretty difficult On its own but he has also gotten of to a great start at arsenal scoring important goals for outside the box doing really well defensively and commanding the team like a future captain hopfully leading arsenal to a premier league title doing what they couldn’t do last season
CM- Jude Bellingham Runner Up- No One
This choice is going to be in every person’s team of the year he is going to be better than Zinedine Zidane breaking Cristiano Ronaldo’s records and making an iconic celebration a few Ballon D’ors is in this man’s future also I don’t think anyone has been good enough to be a runner up the only on I can think of is kdb but he has been injured for pretty much the whole year and everyone else is too mid you could say gavi or pedri but both have been injured for too long kroos and Modric are having good seasons now but had bad last seasons Valverde had a good last season but bad season now barella has been too mid and no one from the prem has really impressed me however if I had to pick on it would be Barella or Bernardo silva
CAM- Florian Wirtz Runner Up- Xavi Simons
I know you can’t have a CDM CM & CAM I just couldn’t leave this guy out he unfortunately had an acl injury last year and didn’t really play
However after returning he hasn’t looked back I think he has scored at least once a week and he is just 20 years old what a player as for xavi simons he has been in great form as well not just for leipzig but for psv as well it’s not just his G/A its his play and maturity on and off the ball really impressive for such a young player I was really close to putting in Maddison and Foden however fodens on the bench most of the time and Maddison got relegated with Leicester so you can’t really get into team of the year if you got relegated or aren’t playing also Szoboszlai has been very good too
RW- Mohamed Salah Runner Up- Bukayo Saka
Both players have had really good year especially last season this season they have been good just not as good but don’t let that fool you they still don’t lots for there respective Clubs this year but salah gets the edge for me because he did it in a struggling team where as saka did it with title contenders
ST- Harry Kane Runner Up’s- Lautaro Martinez & Antoine Griezmann
Look I think all 3 off these have had fantastic years but if I had to pick one it is clearly Harry Kane to come second in the golden boot with spurs is already a great achievement but kane has settled in Germany so we’ll scoring so many goals he has already surpassed last year Golden Boot winner and its not even Christmas the only sad thing is he probably still won’t win a trophy this year and don’t forget about Martinez or Griezmann who have also both been scoring freely all 3 off these players have a combined goals over 60 at the time off writing hopfully they can keep up their good form and yes I am aware I did not include Haaland that is because he really didn’t score many goals towards the end of last season and has also struggled for goals this season so that is why I did not include him
LW- Kylian Mbappe Runner Up- Vinicius Jr
What can I say about mbappe that hasn’t already been said you may think this was an East choice but it was actually pretty difficult in the end though you can’t argue with scoring regularly for club and county I think if he left to go anywhere ether Germany, Italy, Spain or England he could become the best player ever but unfortunately psg has too much money hopfully he will leave in the summer and compete with Bellingham for the ballon d’or and even though vini has been injured he still has had a decent season also I did not forget about Son the only reason he is not here is because he had a terrible last season
12th Man- Antione Griezmann Runner Up- Bukayo Saka
I think that choosing a 12th man is difficult but Griezmann and saka stand out both had great years but I just think greizmann has been more consistent than Bukayo
So to sum up here is my team of the year

RB- Trent
CB- Araujo

LB- Grimaldo
