FC 24 Kick Off mode allows you to create quick matches to play against the CPU (up to 4 vs. the CPU) or your friends. You can play with all available teams and clubs using the Kickoff mode. A Women’s team cannot be played against a Men’s team.
You can create a single friendly or exhibition match in FC 24 Kick Off mode to play against CPU AI or pals on your PC or console. Each side can choose any team or club from FC 24. In a kickoff-style match, you can completely customise practically everything about your game (such as your formation, tactics, match setting, etc.). Playing the Kick Off mode in FC 24 does not necessitate an internet connection; however, using the Live Form function does necessitate an internet connection to EA servers.
How to Play Kick Off Mode in FC 24?
The Kick Off match mode is accessible under PLAY MODES > KICK OFF tab in FC 24 home screen.
Match Types
Here is the list of Kick-off modes in EA Sports FC 24:
- Classic Match – A match type with the regular and traditional rules of football.
- House Rules – If you have ever wanted to play a match in EA FC with different rules (or even no rules at all), the House Rules match type is just for you. You can set up a match with a selection of custom rules, including No Rules, Survival, Long Range, First To…, and Headers & Volleys.
- Volta Football – In this match type, you can play with authentic teams and players in Volta Football. Match types include the House Rules, 3v3 Rush (No GKs), 4×4 Rush, 5v5, and Futsal. Volta Football offers different sizes of arenas and environments with and without walls.
- UEFA Champions League – The most prestigious club competition in the world is just as integrated into Kick-Off as it is into the rest of FC 24. From group stage matches to the Final, you can set up a custom Champions League match with specific visuals, rules, and more that provide a realistic, immersive tournament.experience.
- CONMEBOL Libertadores – Play a match in CONMEBOL Libertadores. Choose to play in a one off group stage match, the home and away semi-finals in the CONMEBOL Libertadores final.
- Cup Finals – Play your match as one of a handful of real-life cup finals, including the Champions League Final, Europa League Final, FA Cup Final, and others. Official kits, badges, match balls, and authentic broadcast overlays (for a select few tournaments) provide an authentic cup final experience.
- Home & Away – This is a two-legged match type in which you play one home and one away match to determine the overall winner. The winner is determined by the aggregate score, which is the team that has scored the most combined goals from those two matches. If the teams are level after two matches, the team with the most away goals will be declared the winner. If the teams are still level, the match will go to extra time, then to a penalty shootout.
- Best Of Series – Play classic matches in a three- or five-match series to determine an overall winner.
Options & Settings
Here is the list of options & settings you’ll get in this game mode:
Select Side
Once you enter the kickoff mode, you’ll be asked to select your team’s side as Home or Away. If you’re playing a multiplayer game, your friend or friends are also required to select their side, whether they play for your side or against you.
In this screen, you can also have the option to switch the kick off name (Switch Kick Off Name) and change its settings. You’re also able to Customise Controls and Change Group Leader here.

Live Form
Live Form in FC Kick Off mode allows you to update your team’s lineup and formations with the latest stats of your club in real life using your internet connection. It also automatically creates a match session based on your favourite club’s upcoming fixture. You can turn this feature on or off at the team selection screen before starting a match.
Advantage Settings
Using this feature, you can choose the starting score and what difficulty you want the AI teammates to have. Adjusting this difficulty will affect how your own AI teammates play with and without the ball. The Advantage Settings option is available at the team selection screen. Press R3 to open up the Advantage Settings screen.
Other Options
Before playing a match, you get the option to view, change or modify the following settings and details:
- Team Management – Settings regarding your team management
- Game Settings – Options and settings related to the gameplay and rules
- Controller Settings – Settings and changes to your controllers
- Detailed Stats – Profound statistics of your game(s)
