FIFA Ultimate Team (Also known as FUT, UT or FIFA UT) is a game mode in FIFA that allows you to build and manage your own club using any players and managers, and a collection of various types of cards such the club items to play offline and online matches and earn rewards to improve your FUT club's quality and budget.
A user can create one club in FUT with up to 40 teams, knows as Squads. Players, managers and any item that can be consumed or engaged for your club, or doing any action to your club is represented as a FUT Card, known as Item. FUT Cards are available in the packs, can be received as rewards and can be traded at the online market in FUT known as Transfer Market. To buy packs and trade cards on the Transfer Market you need to use the virtual currencies used in FUT which are FIFA Coins and FIFA Points.
FUT Items can be bought from the Transfer Market, can be gained from the pack or can be received as rewards or gifts. FIFA Coins are being used to trade the items in the market and to purchase the packs from the Store, while FIFA Points are being used only to buy packs from the Store.
The Ultimate Team game mode was first available as a downloadable expansion for FIFA 09 only on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. On 1st of December 2009, EA Sports announced that the Ultimate Team game mode will be available in FIFA 10 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. As of FIFA 12, the Ultimate Team game mode became available for all platforms.
