My 1st post...so here goes....
I have always been a Pro Evo fan...until last year. The reason for this, i've always seen Pro Evo as a better simulation of the sport until recent years. I finally got enough courage to buy fifa last year and it is(gameplay wise) the better...by far.
Looking at pro evo thinking about what i'm missing...well the only thing i can think of is Master League(manager mode). This is the only mode in Fifa that i felt was lacking that phwoar factor. It feels very unrealistic how a player can pretty much break their leg and then return for the following weekends game(slight exageration).
The transfer market is very....well....dillusional. I played as Swansea and signed Kaka + Rooney whilst in the Championship :S Player development definately needs an overhaul...any player can become the greatest in the world with enough experience/games according to fifa 09. No matter what signing you make...they'll always come good as long as you play them. It would be more realistic if players had their own style of play and progression levels. For example, i could start a new Galacticos era in Madrid with all the money needed, but if the team doesn't have good chemistry or their individual styles of play didn't match up then it would be a wasted effort.
A sense of achievement is, imo, non-existenent in manager mode. For example, in Master League you can start a team from scratch. Struggle for the 1st season or two whilst your aquiring enough money to strengthen your squad or waiting for the youth to gain experience, work your way into the top league and then challenge for major honours. One of the best things about it though is the sense of achievement of creating a solid squad out of nobodies, make sure all their individual styles gel together, nuture the team,whilst adding additions, to becoming the greatest team on the planet. In fifa theres no real difference between the greatest player on the planet or the worst....only stats they all play exactly the same(except Ronaldo, who is unstopable).
Apologese about the long post but i hope you don't see this as a 'i hate fifa post on a pro Fifa forum'. Trust me, if i were to post on the Pro Evo forum about what to change i'd have to put a link on there directing them to the fifa dev teams base.
Oh and just remembered...ball physics, long balls suck in Fifa 09, too slow . By the time i've passed from my LB to my RW the opposing team(including their manager) have surrounded him.
Fifa = great game but still can improve to win over even more Pro Evo fans.

• It’s very difficult for the CPU to keep up with the user whilst sprinting with the ball. It would be better if beating an opponent was more based on skill & strength.

• Injuries are usually for only one or two games & it would be better if the time the players are injured for was more randomised.

When viewing a replay of a goal/incident, the original sounds (i.e crowd noise and commentary) should also be replayed. This would help create more of a 'real-life' feel. Other than that, the crowd in general should be louder when a goal is scored.

I have a few ideas, let me know what you think.

1. Blind Ref mode- Bit of fun just for laughs. Basically no fouls, no free kicks or penalties, no offsides. Basically a free for all. Obviously it would just be for fun in exhibition matches.

2. Record own commentary- Basically have the option to read the commentator's voice clips and re-record your own version for each soundbite. Do it with a mate and create your own funny commentary! Also you'd obviously have the option to upload/download them. Endless possibilites for celebrity commentator impersonations etc...

3. On a more serious note, fix offsides- i.e. make them more realistic and include human error rather than computer-style "he was an inch offside" situations.

Make players smarter, everytime a player falling on the pitch they are getting in the way for others. Do the players more mobile and faster

1. When players come onto the pitch, you should see them walk out of the tunnel and out the appropriate side of the stadium (e.g old trafford they walk out in the corner)
2. When a player is seriously injured, they should be carried off on a stretcher.
3. When a player is substituted, they should interact with the manager and the players on the sub bench.
4. You should be able to change the colour of certain boots (vapors in FIFA09 were only blue). You should be able to change them green or orange or red etc.

Needs a huge overhaul completely. Stop fussing about with online stuff (although it does seem to be the craze) and just focus on the game itself. Manager mode needs heaps. Is it possible to integrate some of the Fifa manager 08/09 stuff onto the ps3 fifa 10 edition?

Look i totally agree with andrew t, the game needs to be realistic. all these other games are getting realistic. for ea's point of you i think if you combine freedom in the game and realism in the game together, you are gonna get an awesome game. i think if you use components from the other ea games. you are gonna create an awesome game. rugby 06 you can offered other jobs during a season. madden 07 and onwards you can create stadiums. ive been waiting 10 years for fifa to have create a stadium. once again for all teams. i think you have to put the buyers in the managers spot. get them more into the game. you should be able to edit teams. you should be able to edit kits, stadiums and create stadiums for already existing teams. come on bring in international caching jobs in manager mode. make be a pro like madden. come on so many improvements to the game could make it one of the greatest games ever. i think fifa is a good game already but these improvements could take it to dominnce in the gaming world. come on ea put these in and you have on heck of a game coming out.

Their seem to be a general consensus among most people who submitted ideas that the Manager mode need to be completely upgraded. It has basically stayed the same format for the last 5 years. EA needs to make it more realistic, more of a strategy based type game in the day to day, week to week, month to month...decision making option off the pitch for the manager. More like the Manager mode for PC, but in more complex. Their are plenty of good ideas that should add to the realism and complicated life of a real life coach.

i think in FIFA 10 i think u should have UEFA Champions League and a World Cup every 4 years. u should be able to manage international squads. In the free roam arena u should be able to set up a fake wall to practice free kicks. Also in free roam, there should be more than 1 person so that u can do crosses and practice your volleys. i think u should be able to make a kit FROM SCRATCH!you should be able to choose your own sponsor. i think the kits need more detail. In Xbox Live, two players should be able to play on the same team without one of them being a guest. and on FIFA 09 Clubs, two players should be able to play on the same console. you should also be able to control the GK in be a pro online team play. IN FIFA 10, there needs to be a dive button. that would make the game so much more realistic. In manager mode, u should be able to play with your reserves and your youth squads. It would be really QOOL if in ultimate team and manager mode u could ACTUALLY do the training. like, actually control your players in a real practice session. in Ultimate team, the players contracts expire much to quickly. that needs to be fixed. and like vaughn said, the injuries shoould be more realistic. the players should be carried off the field on a stretcher. there should be more celebrations. not just solo celebrations, but team celebrations, i would like to see the "shoe shiner" celebration, where one player kneels on one knee, then the goal scorer puts his boot on the players knee and the non-goal scorer shines the goal scorers boots with his jersey. It would also be qool if players could take off their jerseys when they score. the media events in manager mode need to be more realistic and their should be some where u can actually do them instead of it just saying u did them. there should be more faces in create a player and u should be able to pick their personality and how they shoot and dribble and move with and without the ball. should show bench during match sometimes. there needs to be alot more hairstyles when u are creating a player and it would be qool if fifa had a professional womens league so that u could create male and female players.

In fifa 2010 i hink it would be better to add UEFA Champions League, the World Cup every four years in manager mode so u can pick ur country. also Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana in the Americas.

Just please add cup celebration , like cmon you win the league and all you do is a lame celebration, we want to see the team on the platform ,recieving the cup ,raising it up high,we want uefa licence and team licences. Also a big improve in the fans but maybe for teams chants, flares, etc. More Kits , maybe even some retro kits, now that would be great, argentina league and more and bring in more great stadiums like santiago bernabeu, La Bombonera , Luigi Ferraris and more.

I think there should be more isolation control, so a player can take advantage of a star and create space. Also, i think the fans should be more team friendly and the celebrations of the crowd more realistic. The game should capture the feel of real soccer, aka the intense swagger Cristiano Ronaldo brings to the field, or the comedic friendliness of Ronaldhino, or the focused pre games of Zidane. The game shouldn't feel the same despite the different teams you play with, i think better graphics more isolated control, and a big difference in how ratings affect players in-game play would be nice. E.g.- If you pick a player with an average ball control rating, and you try to use advanced isolated moves, he may lose the ball, or not shake the defender, but using a player with a very high ball control rating, using the advanced-iso moves, he might make the defender trip and fall, or just simply break past the defender. Also, players should trip/stumble when they do an iso move just to have someone take a cut at there knees on there way to the ball.

1) Players need to be unique on the ball - i.e. Ronaldinho and Ronaldo don't dribble the same as Carrick or RIbery, yet they all turn the same, sprint the same, control the same...
2) Weather and time of day - it sucks having to play every game in Manager Mode with it sunny.
3) Manager Mode: realistic ransfers - I sold David Villa to Charlton for £38 mil, Berbatov to Fulham for £40mil? (definitely doesn't happen in real life. Players need to say no to teams, again, Villa would not go to a Championship side.
4) Edit Kit number.
5) Handballs.
6) One on ones to be harder - seems that no matter the finishing ability, when you're on the penalty spot, you score, (unless you completely balls the shot up), and no matter how good the keeper is, he stands no chance to save it.
7) More points to assign in Create A Player, more commentary names, more choice in creating them, free kick style, dribble style, hair style, personality etc...
8) Better trophy celebrations.
9) More leagues like the Argentine Premier Division, or Russia.
10) Announcers in different countries not all speaking English, with the same voice.
11) Different commentary team option before every game (to make it seem like you're watching your match on a different channel, like Sky has Martin Tyler + Andy Gray, or Rob Hawthorne + Alan Smith, ITV1 Clive Tyldesley + Jim Beglin/David Pleat) and so on...
12) Half time discussion of commentators more than one phrase (that more often than not, doesn't reflect how the game has gone - I've had halves when the opposition hasn't had a shot at all, yet Andy Gray says that this is a half where we could be looking at any scoreline, both teams could be winning this).
13) In Be A Pro - you are 100% fit for every game and you can't get taken off (unless you're injured) and you start every game, you should be able to be taken off if you're playing badly, tired, should be rested before a big game... and less absurd objectives in Be A Pro Seasons like take 12 shots score 3 goals win the match by 5 goals! WTF!
14) Longer and more varied cinematic sequences - in older Fifas the booking cinematic used to be lengthy and actually quite fun to watch, now it's boring, before a match - seeing a team warm up, passing it around, would be nice.
15) Real referees - no offence to Andy Whittaker from England (who referees fabulous games for me).
16) More personal celebrations - I've never seen Rooney point to the sky when scoring - nor have I seen Kaka throw fists madly or have I seen Nani do backflips (he rarely celebrates any other way - I know you can make him backflip, but still) And the celebration should be more epic and meaningful when a goal is scored. A last minute winner is obviously more dramatic than an opener and I would like to see the entire team celebrating and not just three players. And not everyone should be capable of acrobatics.
17) Players with great ball control jogging, or slow dribbling, shouldn't have to turn their entire bodies when changing direction. And a greater emphasis on control when slow dribbling (almost like PES' slow dribble).
18) Shot feint should beat the keeper - I hate how they dive and get me no matter what (but I have learnt to round them now).
19) More random talk with the commentators - they never only talk about the games.
20) Replays should be longer - I hate only seeing the last pass of an excellent team move.
21) Updates of match stats whilst in game, like possession in the last 15 minutes, or shots.
22) Manager Mode commentary should reflect how you are doing in it better, like talk about streaks, or league position. Or if you are the holder of a tournament or league, the game should recognise that.
23) Call the ECC and EFA by their proper names and have the anthems and commentary to reflect that rather than the standard 'it's better than a league because it's a knockout system.'
24) Conservative tackles should not work with everyone - I don't like to see Berbatov or Tevez shoved off the ball by smaller and weaker players like they weren't there.
25) Morale and momentum to actually make a difference in matches.
26) Real bonuses for winning things - Premiership champions get £15mil+ not £1mil.
27) Maybe a women's league feature? :p
28) Better fan graphics, with shirts of teams they support, rather than just in red and blue, crowd chants like the "Viva Ronaldo" chant when he's taking a free kick, and fans to react to situations like a bad decision or when the game is about to end... ALso, all the stadiums, regardless of size, have the same noise level. Places like Ibrox, or Anfield or Santiago Bernabeu should be unique and as loud as they really are.
29) Substitutions' cinematic - fourth official, issuing of instructions by assistant or the actual manager, players reacting to the sub, angry or relieved etc...
30) Injured players staying down and then the stretcher brought on before saying what the injury is rather than them holding their leg, only to find out that it's a concussion. And players out for longer than 3 games.
31) Refereeing mistakes - no linesman can make some of these offside decisions.
32) More Manager interaction in Manager Mode - post match, or talking to players or other managers.
33) Seeing the bench, with manager, and players to warm up on the touchline.
34) The long pass being more useful - like watching Carrick or Scholes or Xabi Alonso spray 50 years passes is just not possible with the long pass, you can only do it with the chipped through pass, and that doesn't always work...
35) Referees warning players, I don't like seeing my forward make one foul and get booked, regardless of the time of the match or if it's his first foul.
36) Manager Mode, every stadium shouldn't make the same amount of money - Old Trafford's ticket haul is well over £2 mil a game not £800,000 that can be equalled by Barnet's Town Square.
37) Free kick set plays to be a bit more varied.
38) Manager Mode, awards to be realistic - I've had Ronaldo on 8.4 get 50 goals and 30 assists but not win player of the year because Benni McCarthy played 1 game got 10 and was given the award. Plus the team of the season should be based on stats not form (it isn't fair that because my back 4 have little defending to do, that they get terrible form for it in the end).
39) bring in World and European Player of the Year in Manager Mode.
40) Manager Mode, no more limits on wages - you can only assign 1.5 times the player's current wage meaning some players won't sign if you can't give them enough money, regardless of who you are...

I just wanted to say FIFA09 is a great game & a big improvement on FIFA08. I would however like to make the following recommendations to improve Manager mode:

• All ECC & EFA matches should be played at night, all Community Shield matches should be played at day, all league cup matches should be played at night apart from the final & all league & FA cup matches should have a variety of night & day games.
• FA Cup replays.
• In the transfer market it is far too easy for lower league clubs to purchase high rated players.
• If you qualify for the ECC or EFA you can end up playing an FA cup & Premier League game on the same day whereas in reality you should play no more than 2 games in 72 hours.
• A seasonal weather option.
• The FA, League Cup winners & 5th place in the Premier League should qualify for the EFA & not teams that have just been promoted from the Championship.
• I would like to see the points tally of the teams that finish in the top four to be higher as teams in 2nd, 3rd & 4th usually end up on 60-70 points wheras they should finish on 80-90 points. The tables should have a more realistic finish as teams like Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea & Arsenal have been known to finish 14th whereas in reality they should finish in the top four.
• I feel the ECC & EFA should be available in the first season of manager mode to those clubs that have qualified in the real life seasons 2008/9.
• World club cup & champions league competitions for other continents.
• I feel the stadium should change its appearance when it is upgraded on stadium manager under staff upgrades.
• Loaned players should not be allowed to play against the team they have been loaned from & loaning should be available all year round
• It would be good to see better trophy celebrations such as the trophy that has been won being lifted by the captain of the team
• Squad rotation for teams controlled by the CPU to avoid playing against a fatigued team
• Return of the edit kit number function

I would also like to make the following recommendations to improve the reality & quality of the game:

• I find it very easy to score on FIFA09 as it is easy to create 1 on 1 situation’s with the goalkeeper thus creating a repetitive way of scoring.
• red and yellow cards for goalkeepers
• goalkeepers should have the ability to take free kicks, corners & penalties
• When playing games in countries other than the UK the cheers of the fans represent that of an English crowd whereas it would be good to see a feature where the fans cheers represented that of the country you are currently playing in or against.
• Create a player. I personally enjoyed the commentary name option on create a player in FIFA09 and would like to see more names available.
• The aggregate score to be displayed on the score display for all 2 leg contests.
• A toss of coin to decide which end you want to attack first
• Floodlights are not bright enough on some grounds in penalty boxes

Create a detailed stadium for any team you want
Put on MLS Stadiums like Toyota Park, Crew Stadium, Pizza Hut Park, Home Depot Center, Rio Tinto

you should of never got rid of the chemistry in fifia09 in fifia 10 it should be more like fifia 08 it looked better and passed better fifia 09 was terrible it was more like an arcade game .i still play 08 than 09 cuz its better to pass in and alot harder to score goals 09 is like pro which is a joke .should make the next fifia 10 like 08 but better whatever you used in fifa 08 was great

I would ask for a type of mode that would allowyou to build a team up frome scrach from basicly backyard playing to the amature clubs till you hit the big time as a club team.

i think a good idea is to have a become a superstar were you begin as a young player and try to make as a pro for a club and work your why up to become a great player and be the starter of your club and get offers from other clubs and also be called to the national team if your good enough.

3) INTRODUCE A DIVING BUTTON, JUST LIKE IN THE REAL GAME DIVING IS AN ART HAVE SOMETHING WHERE IF YOU ARE GOOD AT DIVING YOU'RE REWARDED HOWEVER IF YOU GET CAUGHT DIVING YOU GET A CARD.
