i agree with almost everyone, but i fail to understand how come no one noticed, WHERE R MARADONA, ZIDANE, the greatest of all times :S

also more flicks, back heels, while passing and only skilled ball playing passing players shuld be able to do it. MAKE THE DAMN GOALIE MORE REALISTIC. too many goalie bugs. COMMENTARY NEEDS TOTAL REVAMP

Player Growth : Young Players grow and rise to 90+ even if u dont play them for a single minute. this needs to be addressed. player growth must be directly linked to player performance and not just age. (Eg. Pato)

Player Rating : Lampard has score over 80 goals and provided about 90+ assists in the last 4 seasons. He never shys off from defending either. Why is Lampards' tackling rating and strength rating so low? His passing too is way too low at 88 even as couple of other lesser ones have short passing rating of 90+. Lampard is no sluggish mover on the pitch. His runs are so well times so his sprint rating has to be around 78-80. its way too low that it makes u feel u guys are so bent against Chelsea and/or Lampard. Players like Kalou, Agbonlahor hav been so influential and have provided over 12-15 assists last season and have scored over 10 goals and need to be rated better. Kenwyne Jones' rating needs SERIOUS addressing and so too Santa Cruz. Shevchenkos' rating needs to be addressed to. He is not out of form. He has just gone out of favour. He's scored as many goals as rooney in the last couple of season and has been so good whenever he has come on this season. Rooney is anything but a 90. His finishing is NO WAY ahead of Torres nor his composure. Please look diligently and UNBIASEDLY before according ratings to players. Drogba scores crucial goals against the big guns in big games whilst adebeyor scores against lacklustre opponents in all the low key formality games. There should be ratings to set apart these kind of BIG GAME PLAYERS. Also Please dont underrate players like nistelrooy,raul and robben. the influence robben has on the game whenever he comes on is world renowned. and there is no winger who has better acceleration than robben. his crossing too is so very good and we saw it in euro too until he got injurd. He shuld get injured more times than normal players but anytime he plays, he is so so lethal.

Better Interface : Please change the interface its so boring this kind of interface exists ever since fifa 05. Make it more interactive with press and stuff and make it more real-world. like players being able to communicate to press and managers able to talk to players and also press conferences and stuff.. a little more infact, than what u offer in fifa manager

These three facets will make the game all the more intruguing and i also firmly believe its a consensus that these need tinkering

-season mode sign with real sponsors like samsung or thomas cook

-more african national team i.e ivory coast and ghana
-real cups like champions league and world club championships
-retro strips to unlock
-an updated classic team
and
-more behind the scenes stuff in manager mode like run training sessions and motivate the players in the dressing room

FiFA 08 is really great game, but the thing i didnt like about it and about all the other fifa games is that...
first evry country in the world is part of fifa, i mean come on use diidnt put enough teams, okay please tell me why isnt their any arab country, well im not saying use are racist, but thats what it looks like, also japan is like one of the best asian teams and yet its not included in the game. FIFA 09 should bring in teams such as IRAN, KSA, QATAR, JAPAN, INDONESIA, THAILAND, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, KUWAIT AND MUCH MUCH MORE...................OH YES ONE MORE THING IN 2007 THE IRAQI NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM WON THE 2007 AFC ASIAN CUP AND THAT WAS HERD ALL AROUND THE GLOBE, I THINK TO SHOW SOME RESPECT AND ALSO TO GIVE SUPPORT TO THE IRAQIS BY ADDING THE TEAM AND MAKING THEM PROUDE...

I would love it if I could play as the Goalie in the "Be A Pro Mode." Being a Goalie myself, It would be nice to be the goalie on the game!

I think a lot of people want a more realistic "fan" experience represented at the stadiums. I think that since most of the anthems and chants of the major teams are in the game, when the teams walk on the pitch, the appropriate songs should play. You'll Never Walk Alone should be played at every Liverpool home match. Also Seven Nation Army should be represented. Plus the banners should be more appropriate and less "carbon copies"

I was shocked that the National Football (soccer) team of the Netherlands had fake names and fake players in fifa 08, so i would like real names and real players. And another thing why are the coca-cola champions, league 1, and league 2 on fifa, i mean who plays thees leagues no one knows those players. they should be replaced with other leagues such as the Argentine league, Japanese legaue, and the Russian league. Just have the top leagues not lower leagues such as serie B.

Try to put all the players and leagues in the game

have international manager mode where you manage a international team play friendlies and qualify for major tournaments like world cup, euro cup, and copa america and others depending which country you manage, you start out with a club team if you become a good manager you get an offer to a manage a international team, if your fired from international or resign you can gop back to club.

have more countries

more leagues

more player faces

celebrations after wining a cup

have awards during season for players

show replays for top goals of the month and such

In manager mode there should be managers to pick from real clubs, not just created managers

If you put refferes the game will be more realistic, also tournaments like the world cup should be there, and more stadiums, good spanish comentators, not those guys that suck at narrating in spanish i just hate them they say so many retarted things, put the guys from gol tv there way better.

Johan Cruijff is definately a good addition to the classic 11 team. Throw in ppl like Platni and Jorge Campos as well. Please tweak the shooting physics so that while taking a free kick, i can score goals similar to the roberto carlos goal against France in '98. also, why cant we change trax while in any menu? in previous versions all we had to do is click the stick, ao id like that back cuz a few songs tend to get annoying.

Yeah another thing , see when u playing with other people , people have ims and cso that is when d game on ur memory stick , we can not play both cso n umd. in manager mode when u sign a player. let there be a picture on the player holding the shirt like pes 2008, or even a video. and on xbox 360, when you create a player let you be able to take a photo of your face, then edit it, like pes 2008.

FIFA 09: : players should be booked when kicking the ball after the whistle goes and 2 footed tackles should be seriously dealt with from front or behind. yellow cards are not even issued for reckless tackles from front in fifa 08, please change this.

yellow cards should be given for any form of time wasting during throw in, goal kick etc.

goal keepers should be booked when they comit fouls, for the sake of all of us...they're players too!

coaches should be seen on the sideline, they're part of the team (very important)

i like the whole idea of controlling your keeper in one on one situations, keep it up.

I'll Suggest that you're making a mix of the career part from fifa, and til FM game. You know making, the careerpart in fifa more realistic, when we're looking at sponsordeals, maybe with offers from different firms (reallife firms: Carlsberg, vodafone, Emirates etc.) and also clotes- and bootssponsors for the teams, also such things as making the enlargement of your stadiums yourself. And all teams should get new kits, from every seasons.

i keep seeing people mentioning updating the classic 11 with guys like pele maradona and such...but i have yet to see one mention for Johan Cruijff ..and if u dont know who he is u dont know football he was voted European player of the century

also can we please fix up the free kick's system...it seems very limited to the player but much better to the computer...

last .. can we get an A.I setting for the comp players like making them be better / worse at marking or tackling shots on goal, passing that stuff thanks!!

I HAVE THE BEST IDEAS IN THE WORLD!! FORWARD THEM TO EA SPORTS DEVELOPERS OF FIFA O9!!!! 1. The fans in the stands should be able to take pictures of good goals and you should be able to see them in a special folder on one of the game menus you should also be able to see the flashes when playing matches in the stadium.
2. No more experieance points when you create a player i have created myself and i had my overal at 65 now it is 77 and that has taken me 6 seasons to do that.
3. Needs to be a reafree (sorry cant spell very well)on the pitch and police and camera men moving about during throw ins behined players or something
4. I am fed up with parts of fia 08 because the memos are so bad like this one a charity wants the manager to go to an event sign a blazer instead IT IS SO RANDOM AND QUITE ANOYING THINK OF BETTER ONES.
5. At the end of big matches such as the fa cup you should be able to see the players go on the stand shake hands and celebrate on stage with the fireworks going off or something.

Have people running about in the middle of matches from the audience...eg people that cuff themselves to goal poasts...

what really gets to me is how unrealistic free kicks are, especially direct one with the fact that if you do a normal free kick with out holding any of the triggers (to curl etc.) the ball has absolutely no movement whatsoever completely still with no ball spin or ball flight movement etc.

Also i think the shooting action should be a lot more realistic as it seems too stiff when shooting.

Sleeve logos should change when a team is promoted or relegated during Manager mode. Created players should be able to have an overall of 99 again.

I think the team you have in manager mode should be able to play online.
so u can play against people with the team that you have created!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is up with not showing alcohol sponsers on shirts?? Brings down the realism of the game without complete strips.

Please have Ibrox and Parkhead (Celtic Park) in Fifa 09. Ibrox is one of only a few 5 star stadiums in the UK after all!!

I thought FIFA 08 was a disappointment compared to FIFA 07. Anyway I have a large list of possible improvements for FIFA 09.

CONTROLS for PS2:
switch player when your team doesn't have the ball should be x instead of L1- inconvenient. The x to switch players on PS2 was like that since at least FIFA World Cup 2002 and for FIFA 08 it changed

CREATE A CLUB:
-Manager mode - MORE MONEY to start- If you have good players on your team with high salaries- debt
-We should have more control on custom crests and kits like FIFA Manager
-CRESTS SHOULD APPEAR ON JERSEY AND SHORTS
-KITS should have REALISTIC DESIGNS of Nike, Adidas, Puma, Umbro with these logos appearing on the jersey

Btw. The transfers should be more realistic such as a player for ronaldo not signing anf playing for a team like millwall. like certain teams cnt sign players that are too good for them in a way such as a player rated 80 above wouldnt be playing in division 3 ect.
also if you play for a team in manager mode and get relagated, top players on your team would want to leave, and if you do get relagated, you might not get sacked but you will lose money in your budget.
also if you get sacked by your team, you can manage another team after you get sacked and not at the end/begining of the current and next season

I love this game and the idea of it only getting better is just fantastic.
I think there should be a few more leagues such as russian and other countires aswell and maybe the possiblilty of non-leagues?
There could also be an improvement on the youth system/acdemy.
Also the loans could be more realistic by being able to loan out youth team players for only for a few months, aswell as transfer deals such as player plus cash.
More stadiums would be good aswell because i was surprised that Celtic didn't have thier stadium in the game.
I would also like the idea of players being more likely to be injured, and also the older the player, the more time would be required for them to recover.
Also they're could be referes making mistakes, such as offsides, with commentators disagreesing and the crowd also booing to the reaction to a penalty or red card not being given
Also if there was non-leagues, could it be possible for creating your own team in the game and having that team to progress into the premiership ship ect.
Also theyre should be play offs in the champion ship and lower league divisions in the english league.
also they could be more new covergae on player transfers in the game, with some players wanting to play for your team while some players wanting to leave the team for another.
plus the teams in the game could be more realitic for example when i play in the preimeship, man utd would be in the relagation zone, that is not really realistic.

Add In More Stadiums, More Leagues (including the scottish 1st,2nd and 3rd division), in manager mode when our manager gets to a high level be able to managa internatonal teams in the world cup, be able to see the refs and linesmen, be able to pick beter (real) football boots when creating a player, have real players from the youth( i.e fleck, furmen ex fr rangers), beter fan graphics, see clubs lifting the trophy, goal of the month, gal of the season, player of the yea awards ( be able to see the presentation), inform you of other scores( ie if ypur rangers then it could say how celtic are getting on), have mid week training, and be able to see players inteviews when they 1st sign !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

CAN U PUT INDOOR FOOTY IN IT PLZ COME ON IT WOULD BE BRILL AND I HEAR THERE'S THE SAME LEAGUES AS LAST YEAR IF SO MAKE THEM ALL QUALIFY FOR EUROPE COME ON

You can Choose The Attendence At Matches.
More Players in The Classic XI Like Pele and Mardona and Cruyff. You can Transfer Classic Players.
A Teams Max on Players Sholud be 50 not 30.
6 Teams Sholud be able to be created and there should be more choice of kit design and color.
The Ref is visible and the Players argue with Him when something contreversial happens.
Players go crazy if a last minute winner or equaliser is scored (eg. Goalscorer Takes of shirt or he jumps into the crowd or both).
More National Teams Like Holland being Licensed.
A Players Shirt sleeves can be Short,Long But Pulled up or long.
Easier to do skills eg.Rabona elastico .
Under 21 National Teams.
There is NO LIMIT To How many times You can edit Players.
Licensed Teams kits can be altered.
In Manager Mode you actually are the manager watching his players at a match.
