Your Ideas for FIFA 09

I would like to see a Superstar mode just like in Madden, where you play the career of a player you create

FIFA is the best soccer game when it comes to all video game franchise's, Winning Eleven at times came toe to toe with FIFA, but FIFA always dominated in the END. FIFA could though improve in some aspects...

- Fake Shots should affect opposing players like them flinching or jumping to try and block the shot.

- Also every player who is distinguished or in other words very well known to the crowd should be able to do there signature celebration. (C. Blanco is a mexican idol who should be able to do his "removing of the shoe and getting on one knee imitating the Emperor Cuahtemoc" celebration.) there are others too...

- Also like above all players should have distinguished penalty or freekick postures. (Again like C. Blanco takes a lot of distance and stands in the middle from where the ball is placed and then kind of stutter runs to kick.) there are also others...

- The Classics IX

when playing 5 on 5 like the team pro mode make it a ranked match and not unranked and give power to the host to boot people out on unranked matches

First of all I would like to congratulate EA on re-converting me from Pro Evolution Soccer. I played FiFa games from FiFa 99 to FiFa 04 before switching to Pro Evo, but FiFa 08 was a much improved effort over previous games and outshone Pro Evolution.
I have compiled a list of 100 improvements that I feel would improve FiFa and cement my position as a FiFa fan with FiFa 09.


ESSENTIALS

1) Have a TV company sponsor the game to make it feel more like you’re watching a match on TV (Sky Sports , Setanta , maybe ESPN) although don't overuse the TV companies name or make it too commercial (e.g. "Setanta Sports' FiFa 2009") But please don't have a made up TV company like EA Sports TV , the EA Sports Boots are bad enough).

3) Better Commentary
- This is hard to explain but say if there is a shot that is narrowly wide have the commentator stop what he is saying and go "Oooooooh" or something. In FiFa 20008 he says all the build up and by the time he comments on the shot the GK has already taken the kick out.
- Add a third commentator and switch between him and Andy Gray throughout the season, this would give the game more variety

92) If a player is injured for 5 weeks you should be able to play him after 4 weeks but he risks further injury
93) Goalkeeper occasionally wears a baseball cap if it is a sunny day

95) When crossing a free kick have one of your players run over the ball thus disorganising the other teams defence
96) When defending a free kick choose what action your wall carries out
97) Players dive in front of the ball if a close range shot is taken in a crowded penalty area

99) Fans boo loudly at the end of a game that you have performed badly in

I think FiFa is the best football game on all consoles. I think there should be tournaments, like the World cup and the European cup. The "be a pro" should be on two player and you get to go the goal keeper.(xbox360,PS3,ect).
Training sessions should be added to maked the game more realistic. You should add more brands like adiddas,puma,umbro,ect.
Before the game starts the teams should sing there own songs for there own team.
These are the things I would like to see on FIFA 09.
The game will be really realistic.

hell,i think that fifa 08 was proberbly you're greatest idea but for the game to be perfect they ve should have been:
-more goals celebration,i always have the same celebrations i think it would be good if you did 50 or something
-the fouls are a bit unfair i usaly don't slide just take the ball ( a nice and clean tackle) and i get a yellow card for it plus a penalty for them!
-please i beg this would be amasing ADD A DIVES i wanna be able to dive like in real life
-better comments, i know them all by heart!
-and finaly be a pro more intelligent for example i shot and i dont get a + shot for it or even a goal!!! once i score in be a pro i didnt get a +goal but straight after i got tackled and i got a -dribling

apart from that the game was perfect i love fifa for life

- IMPORTANT: Cup winner celebration: After winning the league or a cup it should be nice to receive the cup with your players, the celebration of winning the FA cup are boring, there is more celebration during a goal!!

Manager Mode
- Please do something with the user interface, is still one of the worst in the industry
- Include pre-season, friendly matches
- Derby games
- Fans should be more lively when we score a goal
- Flags are a nice think to have
- Progress to national team
- Team of the month, national team responsibilities
- Staff upgrades should bring more explanation, not a simple algorithm

Playing:
- Speed!, players seem to run on rollerblades!
- Turning should be faster (more realistic)
- Not selected players should be more clever (take the ball when you are at 1 foot from it!)
- Where are the subs on the pitch? (or at least the manager)
- Able to pre-program position / plays so I can change the formation on the fly, or having special position for corners, free kicks

and use real managers for example sir alex ferguson.
and tour a stadium

don't make the players look so fat

make it less harder because if you watch real you find that they don't play like a world class team

I think after the improvement of FIFA 08, FIFA 09 should be spiced up a little more than expected.

Maybe to have a choice of a different kit of each season for your team (ie; Kit Contract), Selection of different goal nets, Realistic weather conditions (Heavy Snow, Winds, Rain) Fan motivation, (When a team scores the fans celebrate, home side being lively, away side being a bit quieter).
FIFA 09 could also have different modes ie; World Cup & European Championships.
Longer seasons (Like Football Manager 30 Seasons) more divisions: Non League for England and leagues from different countries, better connection for online play. A transfer centre to keep up to date with all the latest transfers going in your league, and also when your playing just say in the Premier League of England, you can keep an eye on the teams in lower divisions.
When you get sacked dont continue to the next season, stay unemployed untill somebody offers you a job.

Basically i'd like to see features used on Football Manager to work on the new FIFA 09 or FIFA Manager.

STADIUMS-
Keep the orignal ones. I wasn't happy about the departure of the Madrid Stadium!
WEMBLEY- Update it, giving a darker red seats, tunnel and dugouts re-moved and made.
VILLA PARK- Please make it! (coming from a Man.Utd Fan)
SCOTTISH GROUNDS- Please make Hampden Park, Ibrox and Celtic Park

GAMEPLAY-
For the FA cup, if it is a draw it should have cup replays.
Champions League should have a different logo on the shirt sleeve.

OTHERS-
I still think this is a great idea;
STADIUM CREATOR- I think that we should be able to select a base (base, square etc) then you can put blocks of seats down. They would have different shapes styles ( curved, staright, steep, press, dugout and vip). Then you would once you have done all of that you can put in extras like, vip boxes, tv studios, big screens, score board, roofs, glass. And then you can do the outside with stuff like glass windows, car parks, posters and megastores.
Maybe you should only put this on PS3 and XBOX 360 and PC.

Get rid of ecc and put things like the champions league, uefa cup, world cup, europeoen cup, african natons cup and etcand add lots more leagues like the conference and add more french leagues to it even add all the south american and greek leagues init and russian then it would be a brill game and in tourament i think if a player gets red it should get 3 match ban not 1 unless u get a double yellow then u get one

What ever mode u in i think at half time u should be aloud to look at the other scores in the league to see how well they doing at half time

I would like to see the teams that win the toirnamnent to pick the trophy up because theres no trophy presentation when a team wins a tournament example premierleague

i think that all the game needs is russian, argentinian and greek leagues. also the best clubs from bulgaria, romania, and ukraine. and please more national teams. and there shud be a way to unlock and use players like zidane, maradona, platini, batistuta, pele, yashin. also manager mode is fantastic but there could be more added to it. for example when i play with a division 1 english team, i want to be able to go to statistics and see whats goin on in the premier league and other divisions. that would be great. thank you!

I think that fifa gets better and better every year that goes by. I agree with all of the other suggestions.
I think that when you create a team you will be able to choose beween the best uniforms in the world. Adidas, Nike, Umbro, Kappa, Reebok, Puma etc.
I would also like to see that you could choose every color in the kit. For example in fifa 08 the striped uniform in create a team. You can only choose two different colors and you dont say where you want them. What if I want white sleeves, half of the lines in red and half in blue. what if I want white shorts and socks. We should be able to choose what color goes and where to put it.
Also. Wouldn't it be great if you could do all that but also get sponsored by a few companies and get their logo in your jersey, shorts, and/or socks. Who woldn't love to create a team with a luxorius uniform. If would be even better if that team had their own created stadium.
I would also love to see that when a player gets a red card during the game you that you could see the player walking down the tunnel towards the locker rooms and acting mad as all the players are when they get suspended. Also have reserves teams in manager mode and be able to play with them as well as the first team.
It wouldn't be a bad idea to have the fans going crazy after their team scores a goal or does something spectacular. I was also thinking of manager mode. What if you could start as a beginner coach, start with a college or regular team then move your way up to the reserves of a pro club. Be promoted to the first team after a few points have been earned. And why not go to the world cup with you favorite international team. (but start with the preliminary rounds. 2 to 3yrs before the world cup.)
Talking about the world cup, what if the U-17, U-20, and, U-23 national teams where also added to Fifa 09.
I can't tell you everything that I would like because i would never end but here's a start.

FOR FIFA 09 MAKE A WOMENS LEAGUE.

for fifa09 there should be a world cup mode where you progress through the world cup (group stage, quarter finals, etc.) Players need to look more realistic too. there should be a BE THE GOALIE MODE. What happened to practice mode?

-I think it would be kool to be able to create a manager before you start manager mode.
-I also think creating a stadium would be kool.
-Players should move towards the ball when it's passed to them.
-After each season you can change kit if you choose.
-more money from winning a cup.
-Also you should be able to create a club.

-More National Teams (Cyprus, Macedonia, and other UEFA teams)
-Weather Change (Summer, Winter, Snow, Sleet)

-Scout: You should be able to find, on rare occasion, a really really good youth.

MANAGER MODE

Fifa08 is the best ever so far on next generation.
Im a huge manager mode fan, and found very little to do in fifa08 (360) manager mode,
-please bring the ability to make friendly matches, leagues like the brazilian league you spend every year just versing brazillian teams.
-maybe american and asian champions league
-world player rankings maybe
-for staff upgrades maybe buying coaches and medics will improve staff like in champions league game (360)
-varying attendance to matches aswell, the ticket profits should very every match.
-already mentioned but a youth system would be good, and investements should be made if you want good talent.
-bring back international duties
-bring back team of the month
-like in fifa 05 it was easier to get fired
-08 manager mode interface was a bit dark and cold, maybe a white or blue background with larger text would be better

-bring back create club
-bring back hand balls and introduce back passing to the keeper as a foul
-Injuries should be more severe, in fifa08 injuries lasted a week or two.
-fatigue should be more common, and morale should be on the edge cos in 08 a player who had no game time for a whole season was still happy.

-bring back the greek league, fifa 01 used to have it why not now? this year five greek teams were in uefa cup group stages, and one in CL knockout stage.

-a fresh idea for manager mode would be from the start you would have a rival manager in the same league an often have big derby matches, and the rival team should be more difficult than the other teams in the league.

-Also you should be able to view other league stats and tables in manager mode, maybe with a soccernet type interface.

GAMEPLAY

-what I really loath is if you lay one finger on the AI they more likely get a freekick everytime
-usually having dual strikers they should position and move around better respective to themselves
-defence should always mark their man, or atleast more than in 08
-the freekicks in fifa 05 were pretty fun to use especially the outside of the foot shots
-AI should take more shots from outside the box
-bring back dummies
-through balls should be improved more in fifa 09, especially lob through balls which is useless in fifa08
-AI tackling seems to be too strong for my players and I cannot beat a defender if im closer than 4 metres from them.
-Fake shots and turns should effect AI, they should not have godlike reactions and vision.
-what I also loath is the brazillian national team having strong players like ronaldo and adriano who also have atleast 90 foot speed, seriously they cant be fast, heavy and strong at the same time.

All of these comments are great, but the fact of the matter is that almost all of these features will be left out of the Ps2 version.
I played 08 for the Ps3 at my friends house and it was great! it was so nice that i bought it for the ps2. Im not sure if its just that Ps2 sucks but when i started playing i was a little disappointed to see that most of the features were missing. i

You should be able to use players as a part exchange during transfers and teams like reading and bolton shouldn't win the premiership with their current squads while aston villa and west ham get relegated.

Put the blue square premiership into the game and to be able to create your own kits and to be able to create a kit in manager mode at the end of the season if you want! only suggestions!

I think fifa 09 should be more interesting , very different compared to fifa 08, include more skills like some from fifa street and think of a way to make the gameplay look as good as the ones in the trailer in the begining of the game but .Make the create a player options more imaginative make it more enjoyable like the fifa street series make us enjoy ourselves and make loads of kool unlockables .Have more comentators and make them say loads of diiferent things to say make the coomentating like real life without them repeating themseves every now and then. Upgrade the computers inteligence in a match so pros at the game can finally get a more challenging match,make it more realistic,test for bugs,have teams lift the cup an d celebrate after wining a major trophy .Hope you listen to me and others before me as fiifa 09 could be a very great game which could be miles ahead pes which is currently a better soccer game but that can be changed if you make fifa 09 the best soccer game of all time and that can be acheived..
