I am so avid about improving the game to make it the best ever that i was actually going to write a letter (with my friends and my footy mad brother) to fifa. That is until i noticed this site.
Now I can get my opinions heard. here are a few of my suggestions ( and my friends). thankyou -JNY
p.s if people have mentioned not to do things on this site don't listen to it, they don't have to use those options and there is a greater gain for you because more options=better game= happier customers and more money.
1.you definetly need a stadium creator- this should include seating (you should be able to choose the exact number seats yourself), choose the colour/s of the stadium and possiblly half time entertainment.

2. roleplayer game/story mode- play as a player and make decisions through the game such as saying things to reporters, training and diet- where if you are not strong or fit enough you can get dropped. start off at a small club end build your player rating until you are a great player.

3. a boot room for creating boots. try to get liscensing from big brands such as Adidas,Nike,Reebok etc.
Have an autosculpt format (like you did in nfs carbon) so you can choose the size of the logos , styles of tongues,size of studs etc

4.you ought to make all big league players (e.g in the premier league or la liga) look like their real counterparts for example morten gamst pedersen (of blackburn rovers) is one of the best midfielders on 08 but looks nothing like what he does in real life.

5.mats to simulate kicking a ball or dribbling it past a defender. I am sure this would revolutionise the way football games are played. Take shots and set-plays with the motion sensor mat which senses how hard the human player kicks the ball, how much spin they put on it, and where they aim the ball at. this could also be used in training (improved by actually doing the training units such as running, passing and shooting) when the human player shoots or passes in training determining how much experience that player gains after the training.

6. a player angle that is from the players view (through the players eyes) this combined with the mat mentioned above would simulate the game in real life.

7. compatibility with eyetoy or webcams which will allow you to put yourself in the game as a player a manger or even a fan.

- recording your phrases and hearing them in a game

- there should be an otion for when you want these phrases heard e.g after: a goal, a shot, a booking (different options for yellow and red), etc , you get the picture.

13.you need to include more leagues 3 namely: the argentinian league (boca juniors, river plate etc), the ukrainian league (shakhtar donetsk, dynamo zagreb) and the russian league (cska moscow, zenit st petersburg).

14.player ageing- in manager mode say you sign a 20 year old player in your 1st season by the time you have reached the 15th season this player will be 35 but will not have appeared to age a bit. Make appearance different

15. fan support- should be affected by items sold in club shop,ticket prices, team results and decisions by manager.

I think you should Add: To FIFA 09
1. Change the graphic of the game - (as fifa on the xbox 360) - IMPORTANT
2. Add more a lot of tricks (again as fifa on xbox 360) - there so many tricks there! - IMPORTANT
3. Improve the ‘Be a pro’ camera. (it will be better behind the player) - IMPORTANT
4. Add the ability to do a scissorss kick above the head - IMPORTANT
5. The players will celebrate with the one who makes the assist..
6. Add in Importent matches a MOSAICS (all the crowd holds papers in colors which create a Shape)…- this could be great.
7. Add the option that before a free kick gets inside the goal there is a slow motion…-that will be very cooll.
8. Maybe add an option to threading between another’s legs..that will be cool..
9. The screens at the pitch will show what we see..(As in Madden NFL 08)
10. The grass will be more realistic (he will stick out from the ground)..

And to be able to make your own shirts own team names etc.
(p.s my friend says can you add the feature of a handball button, so when you press square, X or whatever console you got, the player will raise their arm to hit the ball and the ref will give free kick/penalty if hes at an angle where he can see it).
One last thing is i notice you cant actually see the ref on the pitch until a foul is commited or something.
Manager Mode:
1) The concept of a club owner or chairman needs to be introduced. There needs to be a button in the manager mode main screen called “Owner� or “Chairman�. From this screen you can ask the owner for a certain amount of money, and state what you want the money for. The amount could range between 100,000 pound and 50,000,000 pound for example. You then select what you want the funds for, e.g. transfers, stadium upgrades, staff upgrades or YOUTH ACADEMY UPGRADES etc.
To determine whether or not the owner gives you the money, there should be two bars (which work in the same way as job security and fan support). These bars could be “owner wealth� and “owner-manager relationship�. If both these are high then you are more likely to get the funds you request, however the owner may have a certain aim e.g. developing the youth academy and is less likely to give you funds for transfers. You could ask the owner for funds as often as possible but if you pester him too much your relationship could go down.
There could also be occasions when the owner randomly gives you money for a certain cause, and if you don’t use the money for that cause then your relationship with the owner would go down.
Obviously the bigger the club the wealthier the owner will be.
There could also be takeover bids, especially if you are successful and a wealthier owner could take over.
2) I think “Stadium upgrades� needs to be given its own screen. In this screen you see an image of your stadium, and you can actually make add-ons to the stadium which increase its capacity, thus increasing your income from tickets in the same way the old upgrades did. These upgrades could take a considerable amount of time to complete, and once it is done you can actually see the new part of the stadium when playing at home. Whether or not it would be possible for EA to actually allow us to change proper stadiums such as St James’ Park I don’t know, but I think it would be a good idea for 09.
3) At the start of each season you should be given the option of changing your team’s kit. You should also be able to change the shirt sponsor.
4) If you get sacked during a season, you should be able to take over another club at any stage during the season. If there are no jobs that you want when you get sacked there should be a “next week� button or something along those lines and you can just wait until a job you want comes along. It would be good to take over a team struggling in the relegation zone after 15 games for example and then lifting them out of the bottom three by the end of the season, as this happens often in real life, and if anything the fewest managerial changes are made at the beginning of a new season.
You also should be able to quit a job at any stage of the season.
5) Nowhere near enough players leave or come to clubs you are not controlling during manager mode. I looked at Newcastle in 2010 and only 2 players had come to the club and none had left. This is not at all realistic.
6) During the transfer window there is not enough time to make transfers. In the Manager mode main menu there should be a “next day� button so that you have more time to complete transfers. You should receive a bid each day as you do already, but I just think that only being able to go from week to week is unrealistic and doesn’t give you enough time to make transfers.
7) Once you have selected a player you want to buy from the transfer market, there should be more options in terms of what you pay his club.
If I wanted to buy a player from Tottenham for example, I should be able to offer them 1 or 2 of my players as well as cash as part of the deal. Although this is not common it does happen in real life.
8) Also there should be some players who want to come to your club and who approach you asking you to sign them.
9) Most players are too cheap, if the idea of an owner was introduced then the prices could be pushed up to a more realistic amount.
10) I think you should be getting messages on your laptop both from players (or their agents rather) wanting to come to your club, as well as other job offers. It would make sense if these offers were often from international teams offering you a job. INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT I think is an important aspect that needs to be included in 09. This would involve friendlies and qualifying games for international competitions.
11) One really important thing needed for 09 is results and tables for other leagues, not just the one you play in. This would be good as when I move to a knew club I currently don’t know whether the team has won the competition for the last 3 years or been struggling near the bottom of the table for example.
12) The fans should have more chants. These could include chants for specific players, as well as chants such as “you don’t know what you’re doing� if you sub a fan favourite, or they could chant the fan favourites name if you leave him on the bench.
13) You should see yourself (the manager picture you chose at the start) on the sideline.
14) Before making substitutes, you should have to warm up selected players on the bench. You should see the players in the background stretching and jogging up and down the touchline. If the don’t warm up for long enough they should be more prone to injuries.
15)There should be far more injuries to your players. In reality teams often have between 3-11 players injured, whereas on 08 I usually have 1 or 0.
16) A similar concept to the “multi-choice� questions that you get after some matches could be used at half time. Your answers to these situations could have an influence on team morale or momentum etc.
17) Players who were on loan at the start of the game need to go back to their original team e.g. Sahar who was on loan at QPR from Chelsea, yet he remains at QPR throughout the game.
General:
I think the teams and leagues currently in the game are good, and not many more need to be added. However I think it is important that all the top teams, especialy all Premierleague teams, have their own proper stadiums, also probably the top Scottish, Spanish, and Italian clubs plus maybe the best team from each other less significant leagues. Maybe famous or other notable grounds such as Elland Road for example should also be included. Some more generic stadiums may also be a good idea.
Some of the stadiums need to be a bit more accurate e.g. at Stamford Bridge the crowd is really close to the pitch, but on 08 this is not the case.
I think that more effort needs to be put into the looks of some players. The top guys like Rooney and Ronaldo look brilliant, but I think that some players need to be brought up to or at least near to this standard. I’m a Newcastle fan and people like Steven Taylor and Charles N’Zogbia don’t look remotely like the real people. I think all Premierleague players and players from the top few Spanish, Scottish and Italian clubs for example need to be brought up to this standard.
Some other small ideas:
Some players should have their shirts untucked. This is very common these days and would add extra realism.
Some players e.g. Aaron Lennon are too yellow, they should probably be more brown.
Some of the smaller league teams have stadiums that are too big and have too many fans.
The fans should be colour coordinated, e.g. wearing shirts.
Commentary - the commentators should at least know the names of every team, so that they can add realism to the matches.
You should see the referee and Linesman on the field all the time.

Please.... no "Create-a-boot" or "create-a-stadium".
Just stick to fixing things, and adding a few new leagues, like the Argentinian league.
Maybe improving the faces a bit, and new hair models.
Saving replays to the HD.
Keeper available on set-plays and being able to atack on corners.
