Your Ideas for FIFA 09

to be in control of one player and see it from their eyes start in the youth set up and to get offered contracts from different teams and move up the ranks into the bigger clubs.

we should be able to edit players, by this i mean change their soccer boots and hairstyle.Let players exchange jersey's at the end of matches and lets see some arguements and fuss on the pitch. another feature we should be able to see is awards given to players,like goal of the month, player etc, locally and internationaly.(monthly and annually)lets see some end of the match previews like player interviews and manager interviews. most importantly give us more freekick techniques especially ronaldo's freekick technique.other freekick styless include pirlo, juninho,riquelme,van persie , carlos and elano.these would give FIFA an advantage over PES

1- game play should be much quicker.
2-you should see celebrations from the crowd and coaches of a team.
3-maybe better build up to the game like a clip of the team coming off the coach and the players warming up.
4-more stadiums.
5-research the speed,attributes,specialities of players, because in leagues such as the championship and league 1 players are as quick/skilled or quicker/as skilled than some premiership players.
6-Create your own team.
7-rectify any little glitches in the game such as when the computer gets a free kick they score basically everytime, more realistic opponents, such as countries that are mid range over hauling the top countries all the time.
8.the tricks are great but should respond faster.

Fifa 08 is such a great game, all those points are to just make it immense! thanks for a great game EA keep it up!

you should be able to do the following

- create stadiums
- create teams
- change sponsors on kits
- more hair styles for created players
- more minigames
- work your way up to a good team in manager mode
- coin toss
- linesmen and missed calls
- more then 2 commentators
- and a superstar mode similar to the madden series, where you create your person and play games etc. but you start at a standard age such as 16. You also get contract offers from clubs, and have to work your way to the starting lineup from the youth squads, then reserves, etc.

fifa 08 is a great football game especially being a game which is debuting on its first next gen consoles... so i would only like to add minor details....

1) include and in-game referees and linesmen/ officials/ and 4th officials, so we would acknowledge if he can see dirty challenges and penalties as a referee cannot see everything, they should also get some decisions wrong like offsides for examples, sendings off, freekicks, if a player has not dived but the referee believes the player is trying to pull the wool over there eyes then book him.

2) to be honest i was pretty happy with the array of boots which were on offer, but i would like there to be boots which are coming out, which can be purchased from the fan shop like in the current game, this will enable us gamers to change the boots to the current boots which are being used in real life in that particular times, so in this case becoming partners with the boot manufactures.

3) being able to change the kits of all teams when doing a season, having the same kit for 15 years can become quite tiring, so to keep it fresh and have a more realistic affect, designers of the kits (nike, adidas, umbro, puma) should get in contact with the board of directors, and discuss the changes of the kits (in essence we create the kits and have an input into how it should look like)

4) players having signature moves, not all players have the ability to do all these great tricks, so i feel that the tricks should be learnt in training mode during a season, or it can be designated to a player in the youth academies, which is in a way used in the fifa 08 ps3/xbox 360 gen where traits are given to players, giving them the ability to perform better and harder tricks to pull off.

5) quaresma should be able to do the outside of the boot technique whenever it is possible or being able to do it by a special way of shooting or passing.

6) christiano ronaldo having his CORRECT freekick with the correct stance, and if he scores a freekick the commentators on occasions mention how difficult it is for goalkeepers to read his freekiks and the commentators call ronaldo's freekick the "Ronaldo Rocket" as that is what it is called.

7) im happy with the premiership in the game, but for the other leagues doing manager mode it has its ups and downs, so i believe make each league have a different style of playing, as the premiership is the best in the world it is faster and more physical than other leagues, but were as in germany and france alot of goals are scored from long range, so doing research on the way each league plays will help the games realism alot!

8) managers should be seen on the touchline, as well as the substitutes sitting down, with the power of the ps3 i would expect this to be a relatively easy addition to the game, as it is done on the UEFA EURO 2008 game, it would also be good to include substitutes warming up when you are thinking of bringing them on.

9) when you make a substitution, you first will tell the player to get ready and warm up, then decide which player needs to come off.

10) Argentinian league, the top African leagues, Spanish castilla ( the B teams of the la liga teams), reserve matches (for players returning from injuries and just reserve players), youth matches, actually making the stadium have reconstruction (making the stadium bigger), if needs be with a rich owner (chairman) move or build a new stadium. to get official scouts to look at other players, to get trained physio-therapists.

11) the fans need to made more realistic especially the ones behind the goal and as a goal is scored depending on if they are supporters of the team that scored or the of the team that conceded they should scream and get to there feet and celebrate, or boo and moan, which would be seen by there reactions, which the commentators could pick up on.

12) when a player is injured depending on the extent of the injury, they should be stretchered off or a physio comes onto the pitch and treats the player. and other players can take water and drink. when players are injured depending on the injury accurate, return dates and accurate diagnosis on the injuries such as fractured 3rd metatarsal, fractured fibular. torn quadriceps, strained calf, the flue, a virus etc.

13) when it is extra time, teams do not go down into the dressing rooms, so i believe the game should make the manager huddle the team up and talk to them and US the manager decide what needs to be said, or tell our captain what to say, and depending on what is said affects the way the team performs in extra time, things like "lets play for penalties, who is confident to take a penalty" or "we can win this, we can win during this extra time, they are fatigued we are fitter than them, create space and try and score"



i know this seems alittle tooo much as i did say there wasnt that much wrong with fifa 08 i do know that what i've requested is a big ask but i'm only saying it, because i feel it will improve the games realism, and fan base, which will cause us no need to ask for anything else. the graphics this year where top notch, but a little on the bulky side, so players need to be tone down in essence, as i saw peter crouch having a massive physic which he clearly doesn't but all in all it is a great game.

you should be able to choose if to fight or not when a bad tackle as been made, if u choose to fite u will get a red card match ban and a heavey fine but its up 2 u if 2 fite

i think u should put referees back on the pitch, and linesmen.. be able to show the manager when a good play is lost or a bad call is made, be able to fight when u receive a foul, make it more realistic... when u sign players, make like a conference with press, news, photographers and that kind of stuff...... be able to make negotiation chats, for example, not the old way, i give u XXXXX money u give me the player, make a chat like answering players, like when u win a game, a question is made by the team or smthing..... dont use ronaldihno in the cover, use the 3 finalists for player of the year on 2008, selective kits, after a game, choose ur shirt first, then ur shorts, the ur socks, to give freshness to the game, not use the same old boring kits.... make players slimmer, drogba is awfull fat.... more interactive crowd, like when ur home sing real team chants and stuff,,, when a goal is scored, your crowd goes crazy depending of the clutch, for example ur 2-2 in the 90th minute, a final, u make a goal and everybody goes fricking crazyyy, and all the team comes to celebrate no just 2 or 3,,, make new cameras like broadcast, fifa 08 doesnt have it,,, faster gameplay, in arena,, make ur player, and opponent and the keeper, to make it more fun, make practice sessions on manager mode with default team practice kits, make 3rd kits free, they should be, create a team, no more mullets, mullets are off-fashion, uefa champions league championship on manager mode with real ball, better jukebox, unique celebrations, for example, when nani scores, make him do his flips and things, rooney to slide and breaks the corner flag, c. ronaldo, run like expressing the goal, for example, when he scored againts portsmouth like 2 years ago, he makes an expression of a hot goal, make carrick run like he does, like careful and sensible, when ronaldinho scores, he dances samba, totti the thumbsucker, be able to protest when u receive a yellow card or something, realistic crowd, if i play with a 1/2 star team against a 1/2 star team, the stadium will not be incredibly full, it will be empty, new spanish commentators, like raul orva~anos and mario kempes, fernando palomo.... have tomy smyth,,,, well thats about itt this is what makes a good gamof football.... thanks for ur consideration

1) More realitics superstars:
The famous players needs to have their own signature moves, move exactly like in the real world. And if they have tattos on their arm or neck ore somewhere else, that should also be in 09. Like Sergio Ramos has tatto on his arm, aswell Fernando Torres, so more personafied players. And a player like Cristiano Ronaldo should deffenetly have his own body structure. His is big, has a lot of muscles copared to the others players. So make C.Ronaldo like a bodybulder, he is big.

2) Better scenes before a match, like show the playes real close, show some fealings, just like in the real football wrold, a player is always nervous ore exated ebfore a big match. Show the crowd close, and the ball, show some scenes where the playes prepere for the match, like shake hands to their teammates. Show the refferes shake hand whit the captains, jusk like in every league in he real football game.

3) More realistic football shirts. In the previous games you always make the sponsors to small, ore maybe make the badges to unsharp. And the print on the shirts, like player name, and number, always too small, and not the official print. So make them original to the clubs and teams.

4) Put a referre in the game. That will help a lot.

But other then that its the best fotty-game fifa. good work ea sports.

in a cup when u draw a match get a re match at home (if u played away) or away (if u played home) why go to extra time?
add dives,make the players fall more for the skills or the fake shot,no one ever alls for it they all know what ur gonna do,some of the fouls are bullpoo, i meen dn even have the ball and they sliding takl me from behind and nothin happens!!!!!
instead of having an arena mode alone beore a mtch be able to do passes around do take shots etc in the stadium ur playin in for e.g
if ur guy is a striker have shots and passes etc
if ur guy is a midfiled have long passes a bit of shot etc and if ur guy is a def have the exercise where ur team makes a circle and u have to get the ball whiles their passing it to each ova (but u dont have to be the guy in the middle u can be one of the guysin the cercle)!!!
make curve in shot (paced shot) easier to score in real games the always score them and one the xbox i scored 5 or 6 in 6 seasons!!!!!
is it possible to have a player of the month award and manager of the month?
is it possible to have interviews about ur players and the big game coming up using the mic?
please do all these things if they are possible ,it will rely bring u more support

On the PS3 version, be able to make the keeper come up for a corner in the last minutes if you are loosing 0-1 etc.

ther has to be a be a pro career mode i no lots of people hav said it and it would be awsome being yourself at like 15 and then getting older and moving clubs and stuff. Also when you create a player for example youself you should be able to have more features so they can look more like you

I think every team should have an All-Star team, or an old team with the club's STAR players.
You should also let us make New Clubs, and put Sponsorships on the uniform.
Also put your sponsor on you teams in manger mode.

oh yeah and i forgot to say about the crowd noise. I played a lot of fifa 06 Road to World Cup and the crowd noise on there is how it should be! Playing that then going to 08 makes them sound pretty subdued!

All I would say is keep the gameplay and controlls the same, purely update the graphics and any new features. maybe spend the time adding more scripted actions for goals, end of match celebration etc . I played the demo for the euro 08 game and it detracted too much for me from the style of fifa 08, but i liked the idea of weather affecting the pitch so maybe port some of those ideas.

The main things i would say that need FIXING in order to make the next game a smooth and solid game (not that im saying 2008 isnt, its one of the most enjoyable from the series) is

A: The commentary. There needs to be some sort of new system for deciding what the commentators say. too many times have i heard them say 'Good pass' as it gets intecepted, or '....a shot that didnt trouble the goalkeeper' when hes had to parry it for a corner etc etc, it just makes them look a bit stupid! And more dialogue would be good too.

B: A.I of your team. Quite a few times there has been a team memebr of mine standing in a foots reatch of the ball yet he doesnt go for it because my controlled player off screen is charging in to get it, or ive pressed pass, and insted of passing to the guy clearly in the open it passes to a marked person, addmitedly in the same direction so it would be hard for it to know who im passing to, but some sort of common sense in processing these actions would be good!

C: Ref, now, i dunno if this needs updating as I dont know what you went for! The ref gets it wrong at times, but ref's dont get it right all the time so maybe this is just for added realism! Either way, there doesnt seem to be rules for things like obstruction, and something ive noticed, if you initiate a 1-2 pass and the first guy gets fowled, if the ref plays advantage when your second guy 1 touch passes it back it looses your advantage and you give the ball away.

D:Be a Pro I would like to get into this more, but I find it controlls so much differently from the normal game I never take the time, I would say 100% because of the delay. There is an obscene delay in when you press a button the the action happening which kinda makes it unplayable for me.

But all in all I would be very very happy if fifa 09 kept the same in the handling and the feel of the game to fifa 08, with purely graphical upgrades some some 'tweaking', as I am currently loving playong fifa 08, even with the couple of hiccups mentioned above!

game play should be faster and much more fluid. gameplay for 08 is far too slow, rigid and restricted, this is the main reason why i prefer pro evo as the game play is superior.
names and numbers on the back of the shirts should be put into proportion as the name is bigger than the number on 08, which looks terrible as it should be the other way around.
refs, linesman, coaches and subs should be shown.
when making subs, players should meet each other and clap hands, pat each other on the back and if you make a double change you should see all of the players.
also players should not look gigantic fat slobs like on 08. the are athletes and should look slim and streamline like they do in real life. it surely cant be that difficult to make the players look like atletes instead of massive rounded balls.

Oh forgot this one! When you edit a player the commentator should still be able to say his name. Why is it that if I edit Figos age to keep him in the game longer, then his name cant be said by the commentator....this is something that definatelly has to be corrected!

I believe there should be a Greek league. It would really help the game sell in the Greek market. The three big teams are no worse than the Scottish league. Olympiakos made it through the group stage and got knocked out by Chelsea this year. Panathinaikos have a good reputation in Europe. Why isn't there a Greek league when we have Denmark and Sweeden for example not to mention others that never do a thing in Europe. Also the Greek national team as I type is 8th in the FIFA World Rankings! Make the Greek players better. What more doe they have to do? Win the world cup?

Also my second comment would be the league placements. You can't have Juventus almost relegated and Palermo 2nd in Italy!

But God have I been waiting for the Greek league all my life whilst buying this game. Please make it! Thnx.

- for more divisons to be on it like, The scottish irn-bru 1,2,3 and the english cofferance blue square league on it

be able to customize more. build your own stadium and team and shirt designs and creating players, all that kind of stuff. with that plus a little work on the graphics the game will be perfect.

1) fifa 09 should have more tournaments.... the champions league... CONCACAF Champion's Cup
2) Like others said, the game should include a superstar mode, just like the one in Madden 08.
3) The game should include many stadiums in the game... we get tired of the same usual ones.
4) The game should be more realistic with its graphics. Also, a division 3 team should not be able to beat real madrid like 2-0.... bt that should be atleast a 1/10 chance...
5) i agree with others when they say that you should be able to practice with your team in Manager Mode. The game should also include many leagues..that would be so cool
