IN MANAGER MODE BEFORE A MATCH YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE WEATHER, BALL AND PITCH PATERN.
MAKE THE CPU DO SKILLS BECUZ WEN U ARE PLAYING AGAINST THEM IT IS BORING THEY JUS PASS AROUND. MAKE PEOPLE LIKE RONALDO ALWAYS SHOW BOAT

just think there should be the adidas europass ball included aswel as the nike t90 omni. You shud be able to design ur own ball for your club for the season and be able to change kit designs at the end of each year. Goalkeepers should have numbers on the back of their shirts this time. (they dont in fifa 08 for psp) be a pro season on psp. Scrap the mini games and quiz they are rubbish. More third kits for all premier league teams. the clubs actual goalkeeper kits for championship and premier league clubs. Be able to select the ball at the beginning of each career game. home and away ends in stadiums and fans wear club shirts. on career mode, You should be able to warm up your team at the beginning of each match, give teamtalks and see autograph sessions and press conferences. there should be the national team Holland.

There should be a chance to be ref

It should show loans not say there on there team when starting e.g. carson plays at aston villa
You should see the meeting between the agent and see the fitness test and tell him what to do
The should be a 45 minute half as well

Everybody should shake hands including the manager

Commentary should be right e.g. " great save" when it went over

Better fan graphics for cying out loud!!!!!

There just be the Dutch Jupiler League, the Russian League, the Greek Leagua, the Croatian Leagua, the South African League, the Argentinian Leagua, and the African Cup of Nations. The salaries should be realistic. The transfers should be more realistic. Example why would Ronaldinho ever go to FC Groningen. There should be more real stadiums. When starting manager mode you shouldn't be able to start out at a great club. You should start at a 1star club and work your way up the rnks. There should also be more national teams with their real players. Their should be morre scouting optoins

-I think the celebrations should be better e.g anelkas celebration nani and robbie keane.
-I think the players should get mucky and dirty when making a challenge or falling over.
-The players should swap shirts at the end of the game.
-You should be able to argue with the referee or other players after a dirty/good challenge.
-Shirt pulling should be in there
-The crowd should be louder and taunt the opposition.
-The wall should be able to move forward when the referees not looking but if the wall goes to close to the free kick the ref should spot it and push them back or yellow card them.
-Also you should be able to boot the ball away when giving away a free kick and the ref could book you.
-There should be a confidence bar at the bottom of the screen so if a striker is scoring goals it should be easier to score than if a striker misses a few one on ones, his confidence should be then low.
-The lower league teams players should look more like them, as I am a Sheffield United fan and the only player who looks like him in the United team is James Beattie and thats only because he's well known.
-If the weather is windy the ball could move in the air.
-You should be able to meg other players aswell.
-The players could sign autographs and have interviews
-The managers should shake hands at the end of the game as well as the players.

The players that we make should after a while in manager mode get a sponsorship from a brand like Nike, Adidas and Puma.

At the end of the game both teams and managers should shack hands on show, there should be pitch reports like if the pitch is in good condition.

when you are creating a player you should be able give them a particular skill they can have.

1.im from norway and i would like to have more leagues from norway, forexample the adeccoleague (adeccoligaen) with their own stadiums like in real.

i know in fifa 08 there are alot of ways to score but after a while like i got it the first day it came out and have played it alot and after a while i always score the same ways it might be me but if it isnt then please can you do this.

we should be able to see the subs worming up and be able to see the manegers on the side. and mabey sometimes when you win a very big cup e.g, chapions legue and premiership at the end of the crusial match all of the fans could run on the pitch. but you could press a button to let them do this and if they do this you will have a charge to repair any damage. i think there should be a clebration when the player runs into the crowd.

-when the players get injured the cut sceine should be better and if the injury is serious they should carry the player or on a stretcher.

Iran are one of the most important and successful countries in Asian Football.

I am sick of the scout "discovering" the same player 4 seasons in a row, 06 had slightly better scouting.
I don't know what to do with the money, I have over 300 000 000, best players in the world, team staff maxed out and I am still profiting, optimize budget
how about adding olympics at the appropriate times and U21/U18 international tournaments? (I realize there may be a licensing issue)

more managerial elements should be added, more advanced psychology of players and teams, maybe even RPG elements to the creation of a coach
why not add random preseason tournaments? (like the Emirates tournament that will feature Juve, Arsenal and Real Madrid; Barcelona hosts Gamper Trophy every year....)
how about the intercontinental tournament where champion league's winner takes the champins of the rest of the world?? also a part of a preseason/ trophy element
I mostly play La Liga as Barcelona and top teams like Real Madrid and Valencia are always in the middle of the board, it is less fun knowing real madrid, my sworn enemy is not challenging me for the top...
There is more than just international friendlies going on, add European and World Cup qualifications and games into the career.
top teams loose more than just 3 players to national squads. However it really made me mad that out of 22 superstars on my squad they recall my only keeper, resulting in inability to play games and having them to forfeit
La Liga has foreigner restrictions, only certain number of foreign players can be in a team at a given time, implement that, it will force player to look more within the country for good players (like in reality)

Gameplay:
Really liked 08, but few issues
keepers are inconsistent to say it politely, whenever I play a CPU player, no matter who is in my goal they let in stupid goals while the opponent's keeper is a superman handling stars like Messi like they're a bunch of preschoolers
i hate when a CPU player does a regular tackle from way behind and wins, while i can't seem to be able to do that
make faul calls more consistent, some fauls that would draw a free kick wouldn't be a penalty
keep making the game look and feel more realistic
some erratic passing issues

Graphics:
how about new graphics engine and menu for the PC version? seriously, it is borderline offensive to me as a buyer. add sideline elements like subs and coaches. have referees actually signal the calls not just prance around sidelines it is lame when the ball is out and ref just stands there with the flag...
reporters as 2D sprites would be cool in FIFA 98 not 08, it just completely destroys the illusion of realism

Sound:
My biggest shocker in 08 was when commentator said: "He scores! It's Messi's goal!" I loved it! have them use more and more names and maybe even say random stats during the game like "Barcelona leads La Liga by XX points and will increase it if they win today". or Barcelona is missing their top scorer Messi because of calf injury."
In general try to NEVER use pronouns like "he" and "they" and have them use names for everything.
Add surround!
Music is OK this year, if you do add surround, have the music mixed in surround as well.

I think the Classix XI should be updated:

Zidane, Shearer, Keane, Zola, Schmeichel, Adams.

Or perhaps Classic (country), like former England or Brazil stars in one squad.

I think you should be able to see the managers on the touchline, and update the managers like the squads.

You should also be able to see the subs warming up, and the fans in the appropriate jerseys.

There are several big leagues missing from the games:

Championship of Russia
Ukrainian Premier League
Prva HNL (Croatian First Division)
Super League Greece
Ligat ha'Al (Israel Super League)

Also, it would be great to be able to modify both players looks (from hair down to wrist-bands), and team kits. I'm aware that this wouldn't be possible to a certain degree, but EA, pull your finger out.

Also, what's up with the Holland (Netherlands) squad? They play under FIFA's rules, but they won't play in FIFA's game? Instead we get an unbelievably poor kit and random men called Rockel or something. Why should Pro Evolution Soccer get an International team that is licensed under the FIFA ruling, if they won't be in FIFA's game, why are they in FIFA's competition?

Now on to gameplay:

1. More tricks
2. Better gameplay animation (more types of volley body movement, different headers etc)
3. Unique tricks, for instance, Cristiano Ronaldo can perform upto 10, maybe 15 step-overs with the press of a few buttons.
4. Tricks can drain a player's energy bar, but some drain less than others and a failed trick will drain more. So if Sol Campbell attempts a 360-spin and botches it up, he slowly gets to his feet after a quick rest. Where as Ronaldinho or Messi will have a better chance of pulling the trick off.
5. A confidence bar, on a player's debut, this will obviously start low. During the match, if a player makes a mistake (bad challenge, poor pass) the bar goes down, and this causes them to be slower and less accurate. But if a player scores a goal, strings a few good passes together or shows off his silky skills, the bar goes up. This will improve his accuracy, pace and desire and allow a more realistic feel to the game

I hope these help, and finally, please give us a proper Manager Mode. I can go through the season winning every single match, make it so it's actually a challenge. Give us a FIFA Manager style mode, where we can't join in the match, but have to rely on out tactical awareness and substitutions.

everyone over 75 rating and those players who will grow to be over 80 should have real faces. Faces should be updated

realistic stadiums, treviso's stadium only contains 10 thousand seats and has and average of 2-3 thousand in attendance per game(like most lower division teams world wide).

Put back the Santiago Bernabeu for Real Madrid, Sanchez Pizjuan for Sevilla and El Madrigal for Villarreal. Also, complete the FIFA World Cup 2006 Stadiums... Germany has 9 arenas in FIFA 08, but I'd like to see the stadiums of Cologne, Kaiserslautern, Leipzig and Nuremberg. For France, the Stade de France. For Italy, the Stadio San Paolo, Artemio Franchi. And the Turkish stadiums too.

Also, make the ball-handling slicker and easier to do tricks. Defending should be more robust, to counter the improved movement. Also, the crossing and the header animation. Goalkeepers need more improvement. I scored from the halfline with a cross, and the goalie just looked at the ball. Seriously.

a free agent pool throughout the whole game including players from international squads who are not included in a fifa 09 club. Players can be transfered to the pool if they are transfered to a club which is not in the game

1) Make Tricks perform quicker- obviously not at sprint speed, but also not by slowing down completely to an almost walking pace- Everyone expects a trick then. Let it be controlled only by the right analogue stick.


2) Make the crowd more individual- get rid of the coloured dots that are supposed to be the crowd and make them animated- especially for replays of goals and set plays.

Fans and refs need to bee inproved big time. Please , please make gamers be able to choose wether they play with analog sticks or with a cross!!!!
Please try to improve the way computer plays against you becouse it is so anoying when they make 2 full circles before passing the ball to team mate.Make them more smart and more chalenging to play against.

These are some of the BEST improvements Fifa 09 should do to make it unique (Please think about these!!!)
1. Add more National teams especially from Africa where teams are getting better and better(like Ivory Coast, Ghana, Egypt) and more from Asia (Japan, India, Iran etc)
2. Add more leagues!!!! Please - Add more East European and South American leagues (Add the Russian, Bulgarian, Greek, Ukrainian, Argentinian leagues) They might not be as popular, but they are just as interesting as some of the best leagues.
3. Game play - Make it a bit more easier to score goals from further out it is much more interesting that way. ; Show referees, managers and subs;
4. Diving - very popular. Let the players dive, but make it so that timing is the difference between earning a penalty or getting yourself a card.
5. Fans - fix them!! first of all those graphics of the fans suck! Let fans wear there teams colors. Third show those bad fans in Italy, Bulgaria and other countries with those problems.
6. Manager Mode - Make it harder. Don't let the manager have a huge choice for his first club. And if he has enough experience let a manager manage international teams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7. other - have a mode where you are a footballer. Be a pro is not good enough. Let the player start of from the worst team and let him earn money to buy himself boots and other needs. Let him be sold to other clubs and let him chose if he has a choice. Training, let the player chose when to train depending on his fatigue level. And other things too I can't tell you everything!

Firstly i havent read all the posts but i c that no one has mentioned the fact that at the start of fifa 08 it no longer says "EA Sports Its In The Game" in the loading sequence its something trivial but i like it and am fed up of saying it to myself every time i load the game, also free kicks need to be improved and as most ppl have said bring in the players warming up on the sidelines and the manager yelling at the team also bring back the officials from fifa 04. Why has Visual sim been taken from manager mode, also i like the ideas of walkthrough stadium with the manager in his office and walking round to sort out maintenance , fitness, training, staff upgrades etc would be a very good element to have in Fifa 09

FIFA 08 was a great game but its needs improvements. Like have teh Santiago Berabeu, Real Madrid's stadium. In Manager Mode, Have UEFA CUPs and UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. Also 09 should have the FIFA Club World Cup, after winning the Champins League. 09 should should also have the Argentine League, this is one of best leagues. Also more leagues. More CONCACAF leagues, more south American Leagues, African leagues, and you get my point. So we may have more options to pick from and more clubs to challenge in manager mode. There should more stuff for the Manager Mode. And make it more realistic, for World Cups, or International competions. And they should make this improvements for EVERY system incluing the WII and PSP.
