i think the only thing you should do is that when ur playing manager mode , you should be able to use an international team. Like lets say u put your from italy, and if your doin good as manager you should get a chance to use the international team and play.
Also you should put the commentaries from the guys from spain. They do a great job and they make the game fun when u play it. You should have a variety of commentary like from the us and mexico and spain and argentina. Also put ZInedine Zidane in the legends team`

I reckon that fifa should make injuries more realistic!
Also players should have to take fitness tests before signing for a new team!!!

Where r the REAL legends in the Classic XI? Cantona? Shearer? Maradona? the real Pele? Zidane? Zola? George Best? Zico? Mark Hughes? Ian Rush? Beardsley? Linekar? Tony Adams? Grobbelaar? the list goes on.......................

Im a 360 player and i think fifa 08 was brilliant! But there are still improvemnts that need to be made such as
1. The fans have a actuallybeen made 3-d now hooray! But why are thay always cheering even when there team has lost a match. You should make them support thier team and cheer when they win and stay seated when they lose. also make them have the shirt of the team they are supporting.
2. better celebrations when your team wins a cup.
3. please have a differerent stadiums in manager mode as n the premiur legue as nearlly every match you play in the same stadium. You should put man citys stadium as man city are getting to be a big club now
4. be able to see linesmen and refferee
5. In manager mode you should be able to play or sim the training in mid week then play the match
6. be able to see youre manager

2. the pitch should consist of the players (obviously) the ref and the linesmen.
3. better crowd graphics.
4. same commentary team (andy gray & martin tyler) but commentary made better.

6. players could swap shirts after the match.
7. choose which players should be where in a set piece situation (corner, free kick).
8. players should move to the ball when recieving it.

you create a player as a free agent the lower club bid for you and then work your way up the team from reserve to first team you train to get better like your speed passing and goal scoring. then bigger clubs offer for you then work your way in to the first team and with your wages you buy new boots and edit your player like hair styels. and even your national team might call on you for the world cup or euro. your player might get the player of the season reward and top goal scorer and even player of the year.

so EA if you read this and it to fifa 09 it wud be mint

1) When there are corners being taken, why don't the team send up defenders like they do in real like? When teams have attacking set kicks, they send up there centre half's, I think this should be put in 09.

YOU GUYS ARE FORGETTING THAT A DISK HAS A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MEMORY AND SHOULD NOT BE WASTED ON SILLY THINGS SOUCH AS MAKING UR OWN STADIUM AND HAVING USLESS LEAGUES IN THE GAME WE NEED FUNDEMUNTEL STUFF THAT WILL MAKE THE GAMEPLAY BETTER AND NOT JUST MAKE THE GAME LOOK PRETTY REMEMBER THAT !!!!.

1- control the ref so you can play 1 vs 1, with a human referee

2- Players look the same from above on Ps2, (not sure about xbox or ps3) but when you zoom up in a replay you can see the diference in the players hair. for example anderson from man utd, you cant even tell its him from above. Fix that please

3- Diving, shirt pulling, elbowing, 2 footed tackles

4- Players out of contract should not automatically resign at the end of the year, it deafeats the purpose of contact negotiations

5- Players with low moral should ask or demand a transfer

6- All young players should keep devoloping, not like reyes who peaks at 24 and goes down

7- Better scouting and youth acadamy, actually get players over 70 who can play in your team. getting people around 50 is a waste of time

8- More real player heads, no generic heads for people over 75

9- players pick up injuries during the week, that will keep them out for like one or two weeks like in real life, adds realism and more of a challange cause you can just get through a season with 11 good players in 08

10- practically unlimited edits, and multiple edits on the one person shouldnt count

11- create you own boots

12- more legends and classic teams (cantona,pele,puskas,keane)

13- Fix the trick stick cause its to hard to do tricks

14- Automatically regenerate every season with good young players

15- Fix player prices in season, it should be a mix between the players form, age and stats that determine his overall price

16- Be able to check on your players that are loaned to other teams, and also recall them at anytime. And be able to make loan deals during the close season

I like playing fifa 08 but there is a lot of improvements made. when the players have the ball and lose the ball it to another. It's like the players have magnets in their boots and one in the ball. The manger mode should look more intresting and give you more of a task to mange the team. The game play should be more like pes. What really I really hate is when you win a cup ect. All the players do is get ready to take picture, boring. theres like no 2 to 7 min movie on the celebration of you achievement. I think the Job security and fan support should be worked on much better. Say you are playing as derby or any team and you lose your first 5 game you should be not fire straight away. I think if you lose a match 1% of your job security should go down no 3 thats too much. or how bad you team lossed. If you win a match 2% if you like a 3 star team a beat some like Liverpool ect 5 to 10% if you will a cup 10 to 20%.
I think as soon as PES get more clubs and leagues singed to the company fifa will go down hill in the first week.

The bloody refs ect are not on the pitch. what a money making scheme they put them on in the next then take them out again on the next fifa after that.
Also the game difficultly needs improve the further you go up to the hardest mode the cpu you play against becomes less realist when you play. Like it does all in it power to win but by cheating.
The game needs to shape up a lot really.

Fan realism definitely is an area for improvement.
Also a manager mode where you can be an actual manager and hold meetings with players and the chairman.

I enjoy FIFA 08 immensely, but I think the game-play still needs some work.

1) Players do not react quickly enough to the controls, especially on defense. These are professional athletes, not middle aged men. They should be able to make quick, precise cuts, ESPECIALLY if they aren't dribbling the ball.

2) Dribbling with the ball is incredibly unrealistic. You move way too slow when not sprinting, but you kick the ball so far out in front of you that when you do sprint you can really only go straight. Either way it's hard to attack a defense. When playing as someone like Lio Messi, C.Ronaldo, or Ronaldinho you should be able to dribble through a defense. Players just don't handle the ball, and make cuts as quickly and beautifully as they can in real life. You shouldn't have to try and use the poorly utilized "Trick Stick" to fake out or cut by a defender.

3) Through balls. The player on the receiving end of a through ball is 100% unable to adapt to it, often times leading to it ending up with an opposing player. Even when you send a ball directly at a teammate, if a defender sprints up to intercept it, they'll just stand there instead of coming to the ball. That's got to be fixed.

4) The "Trick Stick" or whatever is a joke as well. It's a great idea, but you slow down way too much to attack well, and it's much more likely you'll lose the ball if you try it on a defender. It's fun to use in the arena, but during actual game play it's useless. The controls are very inconsistent as well.

5) Corners and free kicks need to actually present a danger to the defense. It's very difficult to get a good free kick in, even from a superstar, that doesn't go right into the hands of the keeper. When kicking a corner, maybe 1 in 10 times does one of your teammates actually get a head on it. ALSO, when you are the goalie during a penalty kick, most of the time it doesn't respond to the controls. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it shouldn't be so hard to pick a side and have the keeper actually move/ dive and not just stand there. This is incredibly frustrating during penalty shoot-outs.

6) The AI. I don't understand why your players, if not controlled by you, will just let the ball roll right by them. It's very discouraging to play when you tackle an opposing player only to have the ball roll right by your teammate, and to a RESPONSIVE opposing player. That's the thing; unless controlled by you, your teammates basically don't respond to anything. If the opposing strikers come charging down the field towards your defense, the AI players will just let them dribble right by. Soccer is a team game and even the players you are not controlling should be able to defend the goal, and pursue loose balls. This is probably the #1 issue for me with this game, unresponsiveness. The players should play AGGRESSIVELY. The goalies often respond way too late as well, and let in easy second shot goals.

i hate that you cant create formation when you r playing manager mode. I know that you can create formations but you cant create it while you r playing. When you get new players i would like to do a formation which works but you cant do it. Fix it!!!

I m playing fifa from 2004, and seeing improvemnt time to time till fifa 08.
I just to say one thing, please improve the game play,which is important.And please make some realistic crowd.

Squad selection. You should be able to store more than 1 squad setting. A default squad and maybe 2 others would be nice. Save all the messing around when chosing your team before a game.
Kit Selection. Upon starting your match it would be nice to chose the kit you are wearing. Be able to chose short, socks and goal keeper colours to fit in with your opponents.
Ref and Linesman Desicions. If a player in slightly offside the linesman doesnt have to get it right everytime. Be able to argue a desicion using different controller buttons. Push the ref too far and get booked. (Use similar system to the "breaking points" system in the Godfather. Each player gets a limit and every ref has a different tollerence level. Computer also argues now and again)
Be A Pro. Be able to play season mode/manager mode in Be A Pro as 1 player, not just the view.
League Titles. If you are a clear winner of your league before the season is up or the league title is decided on on a game before the end of the season you should get the gaurd of honor at your next game, or if your unfortunate you have to perform it.

I would like to see the officials on the pitch, and have official referees. Also, the players should respond better, for example: sometimes when you make a pass, your player won't meet the ball even though you press the button.

I'm plaing fifa since '94 (national teams only..). I am happy to see that fifa is geting better. The only problem i have with fifa 08 is that if you are plaing many hours you can learn to do some things that you never see in real football.
a)Corner and goal without touching enyone the ball
b)Very easy defence. The players must be more clever and don't make 'holes' in the defence

It would be good to see more from the lower league teams such as team specific chants and stadiums. A lot of the people who play FIFA support the smaller clubs and teams in the lower leagues so this is really important.
Also, I am a big Leeds fan and even though the club isn't doing too well right now it still has a huge fan base, bigger than many premiership teams, yet the team is not represented very well on the game.
Also better fan graphics,. It would make it feel so much more real if the fans looked better.

i think there should be more tournaments and more tournament options like being able to play select them in tournaments such as the champions league,copa libertadores,club world cup and the rest of the comments everyone has said have pretty much covered all the faults

We want rain, snow, hail..... More stadiums as im sick of playing in one stadium. Crowd has to get more louder for the home side... we should also be allowed to play at night in all stadiums... Dusk matches should start at dusk time and move into night...

Oh yeah, put in the Argentine League

Make it so that when you score a goal, the people behind the net stand up to cheer because it gets annoying to put lots of effort into a goal and see them being just sitting there

Ok, I would first like to say I'm an avid fan of the FIFA series. But there are some issues that could be greatly improved upon. For one, the crowd graphics and personality. Have songs chanted when a team plays at home.(even the smaller clubs, it would make a difference. One thing I did not like in the FIFA 08 game were the controls. The controls were a complete disaster compared to FIFA 2005 and 2007, when the one-touch capabilities were are their best. The dribbling needs some real change as well. For instance, if i have a player dribbling down the field, it does not feel as authentic or look authentic for that matter, and its about the same for all players.(with the FEW exceptions of Ronaldinho, Rooney, C. Ronaldo, etc...) Not only the passing, but the dribbling as well. When a pass is made on FIFA 08, it's like the ball automatically is placed and destined to land in one spot, and very little control is given to aim passes and/or free kicks. I would like to see some sort of cursor or what not when free kicks are taken, because after FIFA 05, many people I have played online with have agreed with me, it sucks with out it. Making the overall actual gameplay more realistic is KEY, make it feel like a real football match, although I must say, the PS3 version is extremely well made when it comes to actual gameplay. I know it costs more money, but making the FIFA game the way you do for the PS3 on the PS2 would leave EA with MANY more happy customers and FIFA fans. One issue that I personally would like to address is the Manager Mode. Yes, I do love managing my favorite clubs such as Manchester United and Los Angeles Galaxy, but after about 3 seasons of playing, it can get old really fast. The Manager Mode needs new features such as, more agreements in the contracts you sign with your sponsers, let the gamer feel like he's making an important decision like the officials of professional clubs do. The manager mode has been improved on each year, but there needs to be more features that will keep the gamer interested for the entire length of the career mode. E.g.: when you are negotiating contracts with players, make it more complicated to keep the player if he is unhappy, just as the want away stars of the EPL and La Liga can be. The Manager Mode needs to make the gamer feel like an actual manager, and not bored after 3 seasons. Oh, and in the Manager Mode, call tournaments by there proper name, such as the Champions League, the UEFA Cup, Copa del Rey, and the English Premier League Title, once again going back to the game becoming more authentic. Now this is one aspect of the game that I believe ALL people would like, the Champions League playable in a FIFA game, not buying a seperate video game itself just to play it. I believe that a gamer should have the opportunity to earn the ability to play the Champions League, after meeting a certain amount of requirements in a season.(Going undefeated, winning major trophies, etc...) Having better celebrations would also make the game a lot cooler, as well as the teams reaction to winning a major cup. Having real sponsors for teams such as BWIN and ADIDAS on uniforms, shoes, and for the team should be added. Not were u can barely tell a football cleat is adidas because of the 3 faded out lines on the shoe. Each league should have its own national announces like in the EPL, choose 2 famous announcers that broadcast in England, but have say a different one for the MLS. The fact that the players hair DO NOT MOVE, or the jerseys DO NOT budge at all is frustrating!, and the ability to create your own team, put it in the League of your choice, actually show the name that you named the team in League play, and allow them to get promoted, relegated in the Manager Mode; and other than under and over rating players(under rated american mexican players), for the love of God, the music needs an EXTREME MAKEOVER!!!! Half of the artists on there are not even heard of; what happened to '05 and '06 where they had artists such as Franz Ferdinand, Oompf!, The Streets for FIFA 2005, and Bloc Party, HARD-Fi, and Oasis? Both games had amazing music. In my opinion, more American music should be added, if not at all adding famous artists on the game that had hit singles or at least decent songs. One last thing, going back to FIFA 2005 and '06, the extra features such as interviews, or highlights of the past season would be brilliant in the upcoming '09 game. (May I just say, what you did with the EPL highlights and the song Helicopter is what fans want to see again.) These improvements would make the perfect FIFA 2009.

1. Be a pro career mode where you start in a teams youth academy and progress through to senior team and international call ups.
2. Edit created players throughout career mode so change hair, kit styles etc etc
3. give manager team talks at half time during career mode
4. more stadiums
5. be able to create players like before when you can make them amazing players straight away instead of only average players and have to wait for them improve.
6. more realistic transfers
7.referee getting in way of play eg getting hit with ball
8. kit editor, so you dont have to play in the same kits for the whole career mode
9. When your teams like Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea, Real Madrid etc etc start career mode in champions league or uefa cup instead of nothing and having to wait untill 2nd season to play in europe.
10. last thing i think players being able to dive, not only by human controlled teams but computer controlled teams as diving is a huge thing in football.

the thing u lack is the realness in game play like pes has . u guys need more leagues croatian league is one of them ... in the be a pro mode u should start off with a 2 nd divison team in the league u like and from there based on ur play in a season u would get offers from 1st divison teams from around the world. also this is wat makes it better u get offers from clubs and u also get invites from ur national teams for friendly matches and if u make the national team squad list then u will also get invites for games in euro cup and world cup ......this would be the greatest be a pro mode and i think if u introduce this be a pro mode and better game play like pes and refs and managers visable in the game then u got a game thats so great that i dont think no other soccer game can come close to.
