Your Ideas for FIFA 09

personally i think they should tamper with the defence mechanism, maybe, have a couple of extra feautures like:

- press a button it pull a players shirt to slow them down, if pressed to long it pulls them to the floor (also could be used as an advantage on set pieces to hold them down while you head the ball away)

-maybe press a button to block a player off who has played the ball passed you.

-bring keeper up for corner in the last minute as an extra player if you select to.

just a couple aslo maybe a quick free kick option like pro evo.

you should be able to create players and ur own team, more info when commentanting on lower leaguen teams. more grownds, and you should be able to bring ur goal kepper up for corners at the end of the game if ur loosing like on ps2 version.and you be able to take control of ur keeper more.

can you add a captain mode? Maybe pick a player and try to draft him and everything.
Kinda like the pawapuro baseball games.

3.make it so that the skill moves can be done at speed because skill moves slow you down in fifa 08.
4.make the ball heavier - fifa 08 balls floated.

7.make the goalkeepers better - 08 had too many bugs where the ball was rolled past the goalie and the goalie dived after the ball had gone in!!!

I completely agree with Nathan, (post no. 10513) GAMEPLAY: the number one aspect EA should work in. I mean, what's the use of more teams and features when the gameplay is so poor? That's why they have to "handicap" your team on higher difficulty levels. Because the AI does not know about football (sorry EA) and the ball is flat and doesnt bounce right. Aside from team play which needs lots of work the ball seems to have a preference of where to bounce at times. It toggles from one player's foot to the next then back when two players battle for it and it seems to be attracted to feet. Never does it flick up and get away from the proximity of anyone, it knows where to go. I have said it before and I will say this again: The ball is one thing and the player is another, so if I move my player I should not always brin the ball WITH me. Instead the ball should be eft behind because I did not knock it. It should somewhat resemble volleyball, maybe that idea can make it easier to understand. You never possess a ball, you touch it and chase it and stop it but its not attached to you. So there should be a "touch" button or stick and the directional stick should ONLY control your player and you, wih the "touch" button or stick should play the ball and run after it. That would much more resemble the game of football.

you should be able to get ranked as a manager for example start of in lower divisions and then bein able to manae man u, barcalona, inter, bayern etc

more flags in crowd also of countries clubs also jokes with commentating (let them have more fun)

and also pick from commentating like espn,setanta,sky news,sbs,fox sports and have range with commentating

do uefa champions league not ecc or efa make managing on the game realistic pick country if good enough coach the country or different country pick a random guys face like 05 and put face and suit on whilst playing games facial expressions and everything him looking at watch penalty shoot out more tense free kicks easier pick where to shoot easier tricks on harder to get players put greek,russian,ukraine,argentina and iran league on 09 (don't forget this name) also put managers going to squads news like van basten going to chelsea trapatonni going to arsenal and real managers on clubs and country teams more breaking news things and snow weather

To the fifa 09 developers,
here r some suggestions that would make fifa 09 even better!
+More tv and broadcast camera angles on ps3 version is a must!
+Cam angles u can customize
+An indoor or 5/6 a-side league
+ U shud be able to b able to change ure kit in manger mode
+create a stadium option
+More African teams
+ more Boots
+better weather conditions
+More stadiums

THIS IS IN MANAGER MODE
Add referee to game play.
European matches to be played at night.
When you upgrade the stadium the stadium changes (like in 2007).
You receive manager offers from other clubs.
Transfer window opens before season so new players start first game.
Improve the cup presentation - it has never been any good.
Ensure cup finals are played at neutral grounds like Wembley and not your own stadium.
Be able to change your captain.
List leagues as the country and not the name of the league - very confusing.
Option to click on results to open view of match details (your matches only) - line ups, goal scoreres etc.
More Stadiums - by now ea should have all the main Premiership grounds.
Add World Club Final (you have the Super Cup) between Euro and South American champions.
Re-introduce different weather conditions like previous versions.
Players to have more injuries, short term and long term. Not realistic enough at the moment.

Other than that a superb game.

Make a 'MANAGER MODE' that has these Features:

- Be able to Coach a Club team and a National team at the same time!
- Have a Full Reaserve and Youth Team to Select Players from!
- Be able to Loan Good players!!
- The Coach can get angry and yell at the players on the Pitch.

Make a 'CAREER MODE' that has these following features:

- Customly design your Player.
- Choose sock length,ankle tape,shin pads/guards,long sleeve/short sleve, goal celebration, running style and kicking style.
- Every season you get to choose a new hair style and facial hair.
- You start off playing for a local youth team or high school.
- You get seen playing and get scouted to a semi pro or proffessional youth squad.
- You work your way up to the Proffessional 1st team.
- You get a boot sponsor for every season and they give you a pair of boots to wear when playing(eg. Adidas, Nike, Puma, Umbro, Didora, Lotto.)
- you get an agent.( He will notify you when other clubs are interested in you and will help negotiate with clubs to increase your salary.)
- play careful so that you dont recieve a red card or get injured.
- Try and achive the Player of the year award.
- Get called to play for your National Team side in the World cup Qualifiers, World Cup and Friendlies.
- Play until you feel is nessecary to Retire.

1-i hope you try to add the arabic language to the fifa.
2-We want to edit the place of the players in the match without being restricted with the formations already made.
3-We hope improving the graphics of the game for PC as that of PS.

I really wonder why you dont add egypt to the international teams as it is the winner of the african cup of nations 5 times and by the two last championship 2006,2008.

Also why you dont add" Ahly Club" the club of the century for africa and the only club who played in two championships of world cup for clubs and it won the 3rd place"bronze Medal" .

I think you should make the players more realistic for the lower leagues and add more stadium also have a ref in the gameplay and the commenators should not sound they are reading a pice of paper because they dont said excited when the teams score a goal. The fans should sing chants and act more real instead of just clapping when you have scored. Show the managers like you do in euro 2008. And have some mini games like on psp versions.

3.add more camara views
4.add more top class stadiums like the bernabeu
5.make the player faces realistic
6.be able to see referee and linesman running up and down on pitch
7.put in a trophy presentation when you win a cup
8.be more accurate about the player rating( raul=79)
9. the speed of the gameplay has to be made faster
10. when player is coming off he (hugs or handshakes and etc.) with player replacing him

I think that you should be able to do a fake dive, i really miss that from the older football games. PES has a fake dive move if im not mistaken?

Please please include the FA Cup, Champions League and League cup when playing a season so you can realistically play as a team throughout a season in multiple competitions with over lapping fixtures.

I would love an option, when you're in on goal, to press a combination of buttons to enable a slow mo action experience, where everything goes into slow mo and zooms in on your player on goal and you then have time to dribble and make those shots on goal, like an action sequence. Not sure what everyone else out there thinks.

1. More realistic bookings (i.e. being able to get red cards for bad challenges, not just last man)
2. CPU actually getting fouls against them (especially penalties)
3. More realistic transfers and free agents in manager mode, also other teams buying players from free transfers. Being able to loan out players who arent on the loans list
4. Option to include player swaps in transfer deals in manager mode
5. Players asking to join another club in manager mode
6. Better free kicks
7. All national teams
8. Possibility of being national coach in manager mode
9. Managers decision as to which players can take part in their national country committments (such as friendlies, african cup of nations, etc) in manager mode

I would like to make a few suggs on fifa 09 i personally think that that Fifa is a very good game but not a great game ive had every fifa since fifa 96 on the super nintendo and i agree i never ever thought it would of got a good as it as got but with technology as it is these ays that i have seen in other games on the xbox360 i would like to see these changes.

Firstly PES2008 has got an awesome edit mode where yo can create players chanege there stats and there boots even can create teams and using an xbox live cam u can even make your own sponsors i'm not expecting something this ood as PEs have been doing this for 4/5.

I also think that the referee should be visible it is on fifa 06 world cup but why been taken off i don't know, The referee is way too strict in some cases e.g riise running down wing i use ronaldo to catch up with him i run along side him riise falls over foul.

What lso would be good is if u could use features like the quick su on fifa 06 world cup and i know this is silly but a lil bit o fun for realism im fed up with taking off giggs in a match cus he tired and when i replace him with nani nani becomes captain vice captains wud b a gud addition

Goalkeepers are way too good i am a wolves fan an whwn i play online wayne hennesey saves too many shots from likes of barcelona's etoo and henry plus when u call out your keeper he just waits and waits

EA Sports allowed the international assemblage of game journalists extensive hands-on time with the upcoming new version of FIFA 09 for consoles Xbox360 and PS3. Here's what they saw in the demonstration:

:: The Gameplay ::

Consistent with the company's improvements on its other football titles, FIFA 09 exhibited some promising gameplay improvements. Most noticeable is the game's increased responsiveness. Passing, dribbling, and even the physical pushing and shoving that occurs in the game all occur at a much faster and more realistic pace than previous versions of FIFA. Here's an example: During sliding tackles, the ball-handler can adjust and prevent themselves from falling if their non weight-bearing leg is tackled.

Another example is goalkeepers' ability to reach behind their bodies if they misjudge a shot on goal.


:: The Graphics ::

The game's graphics have traditionally been impressive, and the heightened realism around the animations has a huge positive impact on the overall quality of play. New are visible referee, linesman, staff and dugouts. For the first time in the FIFA series referees, linesmen, subs and ground staff are all visible. All have distinct animations such as subs warming up for their arrival. As seen in UEFA Euro 2008 game, interactive celebrations will be incorporated into FIFA 09.


:: The Features ::

Customizable strategic depth: FIFA 2009 will allow players the ability to customize and create specific offensive and defensive play sets and strategies for different in-game scenarios by choosing between a variety of aggression levels and risk-taking.

Be A Pro: Players can create their own pro soccer player and attempt to become a legend by playing through a series of games staged over the course of 4 seasons.

:: The PC Version ::

All rumors point, that the graphics for the FIFA09 PC version remain the same as current engine of FIFA08. The adaption of Next Generation physics- and gameplayengine seems to be stacked against all PC users - they may have to wait another year for the step to the Next Generation and now fall behind into last generation.

i think you should/try to have more players and change the manager mode around a bit

add more stadiums for mls teams and mexican teams. also add more leagues, the game world cup 06 had a cool concept in the way you could choose your team. it practically had the whole world. maybe fifa 09 should have that too. also add more tournaments like copa libertadores , superliga, and concacaf champions league because when you play with mls or mexican teams it gets pretty boring playing only one tournament. the creators of the game need to look over to other countries and add their teams and tournaments also.

i think you should release original patch for playing online with all changes and upgrades every season of players change with ur all rights for ur company and
u must fix problems which appears with nordic patches such the host player problem
in the weakness of GoalKeeper and the Automatic throw problem

I think that you should be able to manage your country of choice. Also real stadiums not the estadio
de asters or something like that. Fans more realistic. Instead of newspapers have goals of the
month or goals of the season. More leagues (Argentine league, Russian League.)
Make Be a pro a career long event where you can leave teams and if you are for sale then you get
offers by other teams pick your agent Much like Madden 08 where it has superstar where you have
an agent and you get traded instead of traded you get transfer offers from other teams.

PS, Lukas Podolski has to be better hes probably atleast ad 87 and so should Michael Owen

Well, i would love for this series to be the best and the most perfected futbol game for the ps3., for the ps3 fifa 09 i wold love these things to be improved:
1. better online play... i have a good connection and even with that i have to wait forever for the other player to connect. i would love that when i hit quick ranked match i can see the player connection and see a bar or something to let me see if its worth waiting.
2.more international teams( Venezuela) i would love to see my country in the game even though i know they are not that good.
3. have a career mode, where i can have a my player develop and become the best. with an addition to a lot of challenges and also being able to play it in pro mode.. and let the coach rank the performance for every game.
4. fix the bugs and make sure 09 its bugs free.
5.better commentating, specially in Spanish, there are so much better commentators out there.
6.free kick system and the corner system, give more options to the player specially in the corners.. have a list of play that you can customize and have them go once you kick.
7.customize plays and formation to be used online... i would love to use my customized formation online.
other than that i love this game and i think that the gameplay its outstanding!! thanks for making the fifa series better every year.. hopefully i could bring some fresh and new ideas to the new and future proyects.
