Your Ideas for FIFA 08

-I have played FIFA 07 for both xbox and xbox360. The 360 version is, for the most part, better, however lacks a few things that are very nice. They are: "Pace control"- the ability to turn towards the goal and move slowly while keeping the ball near your feet so that you can make a pass quickly or dribble to one side without having to stop and then turn. The other feature I liked was the ability to "Stand your ground" on defense. This allowed you to move slowly and under control, instead of having to jog backwards when you were being run at. Both of these features would be great to see in FIFA 08.

-Progressively, since FIFA 05, the through ball has become less and less accurate. Do I think playing a through ball should mean a perfectly weighted ball every time? Of course not. However, I think that in FIFA 07 the downgrading of the through ball went too far, it was practically useless.

-FIFA has always seemed to be a game with definite directions, as opposed to 360 degrees, like the real world. Turns are always made at the same angle and you can only turn that angle per touch. It would be nicer to be able to move in 360 degrees, and for turning while dribbling to be more realistic.

-As others have said, improved crowds, celebrations, and other little parts of the beautiful game would make the game a great deal better, even if just some minor details are added.

- There are two speeds: full out sprinting, and jogging lightly. A gradient in between those would be nice, depending on how much you pull on the R trigger, or something of that nature.

-I LOVED the ability to totally customize my formations, down to moving players half a yard closer to the touch line. One nice thing, would be if you could have custom tactics, such as, you press a direction on the D-pad, and Giggs and Ronaldo switch sides, as they often do in real life.

-Moves need to be added. Any game in which Cristiano Ronaldo is unable to do step-overs and other tomfoolery is FAR from accurate. Custom moves would be sweet, but probably very hard to pull off. I'm sure Ronaldinho will have one or two, but the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Mancini, Robinho, and others should also be able to do moves, even if just a few.

-The booklet should be more in depth.

-I'm not sure if there's a way to put spin on balls in the run of play, but adding that would be great.

Im going to be objective here not like half the people here. I play Pro Evolution , the reason i dont play fifa is because
-The players move like robots. For example, when they are running and turn left or right they do this instantly, not gradually like in real life. Also, the players dont pick up speed, instead they just start running their speed right away.
-I know its un-realistic to put all South American Teams but it would be possible to implement the top 2 from each country in Conmebol. This would add a lot of fans in South America as well.
-Improve the ball physics/movements. Add some randomness for example in Pro Evolution one could kick the ball from outside the box and score. In FIFA its so hard that no one even attempts it.
-LAST AND FINAL thing you need to fix is that whether you play online or single player FIFA, all the goals are the same thing. Get the ball to the midfield and do a through pass. It gets boring and repetitive.

Good luck and if you can put the things i listed im sure you could win a large percentage of the Pro Evolution Soccer crowd.

There needs to be the option of having your manager in manager mode be appointed to coach the national squad, there also needs to be the ability toplay with your favorite national team in Euro, the world cup needs to be placed in tournament mode.

Increase the difficulty of the game even on legendary difficulty FIFA 07 when playing against the computer is far too slow and easy to beat.

Make the stadiums louder to make the feel of the game more intense when i turn on my surround sound and play I wanna feel like im there also increase the number of stadium chants and show fan reactions to goals, fouls, and penalties

I recon that for Fifa 08 is that you can acculey get a gaming experiance with the screen like ur playing from the players eyes, and you can look around with the right analog stick
if this happens then that will be the greatest ever football gaming experiance ever made , and Pro Evo Soccer is gonna have ot pull something big off to beat that , soz botu the one i just put in before this one, i used 07 instead of 08 lol... hehe xD

Don't disappoint us Persians, we play FIFA and we are a fan of EA yet we are disappointed every year by the ignorance of the FIFA team in order to put in Iranian teams. Iran is ranked 2nd in Asia.... COME ON

33. one more thing actually build on fifa 07/ champions league. I've noticed like for each fifa year it seems to be a whole different wavelength. i.e. what i'm saying is keep stuff that was good and improve on it and make new stuff so its differents.
34. Sort out multiplayer! its terrible. Pressing a button shouldn't automatically resort in another player being invovled. i.e. More multiplayer less computer invovlement. A small example: aiming passes (to an extent) to another player.
35. And please have more downloadable content! ; 1) for commentators. They get sooo repetitive. 2) dowanload transfers. So the sutomer doesn't have to make all the changes. 3) when a team changes its kit incorparate it into the game. In other words keep the game up to date!!!

Fifa 07 has been a great improvement over 06, mainly because of the growth system. I think the main thing that fifa 08 needs is refs on the field.... also, you need to be able to change the shirts, shorts, and socks at will in manager mode. Also, show the complete uniform of each team in the pre-game menu to prevent ambiguity. The fans are killing me... with their 2-d animation.

1. Bring back old simple things like on 2000, when you could have OLD teams.
2. Bring back the freekick dynamics, but actually have them make a significant difference.
3. Sort out minor issues like, missing countries
4. Sort out the computer, To play as the team generally do. E.g. arsenal making loads of passes, bolton and their long balls, argentina and holding possesion
5. Players shirt getting dirty
6. Player fatigue more accurate, e.g. tired after playing for country
7. Have fixtures that clash. e.g. You loose a player to an international, and then he is tired
8. Have terrible injuries so a player misses loads amount of games
9. Sort the goalies out, have them making miracle saves and when morale is low silly mistakes
10. Have the ref, make mistakes
11. Player reactions: to like hitting the bar
12. Range of tackles (old style)
13. When in leagues etc have good teams at the top. (To often have i seen chelsea laggin')
14. Automatically increase difficulty when playing away or against a good team. e.g. Poor crosses
15. have team morale effected when key players are missing
16. Have the manager present on the side lines
17. Sort out better tactics. e.g. in training you make tactics. e.g. Right D pad and circle sends christino running from the wing into a box
18. More posts/bars and in
19. when playing against the computer cheeky goals against you like lobs
20. actually starting a team from ground zero building up the stadium etc
21. Custom formations, So PES can't complain
22. Control the weight, spin of your balls. e.g. L2 and square To make a cross curling left
23. Return of the wonder goals! (more from the computer)
24. Sort out the teams propaly. Like in arsenal the young guns

Killer things that are new:
25. Better attributes, that can increase on training or loan
26. Have a Performance rating. e.g. Have some one on and off day i.e. harder to aim, goalie mistakes, crap crosses.
27. In game tastics that make a different. e.g. Having a striker fall back to defend
28. Custom kits/ teams etc
29. Keep the ball/player dynamics but improve on them!- e.g. headers when surrounded harder to aim
30. Ball boys/ girls
31. Have the computer act more human. E.g. round down the clock, dive, make last minute subs
32. Cut loading times. including the stupid loading thing in the beginning with player profile.

I would have much pleasure if there will be many national teams (such like fifa98) and many classical teams (like Fifa2000).

when u are in a fifa lounge w/ the football friends u should be able to change teams, we want to keep our record at all times but we may want to play with a different team.

i also think think that in manager mode u should be able to manage an international team as well as a club team. n make the world cup in manager mode...n make the cups the real name such as champions league!
during transfers u should have the whole transfer period to make changes not just when u have games u should have the whole 3 months!

n maybe u should have a mode that when u create a player u control his career...maybe he starts out on a sorry team n gets spotted by better teams n eventually plays on man u or barca


N MAKE THE KEEPERS NOT SO STUPID!

I would like to start by congratulating you on FIFA 07 which is a really awesome football game and the one of the best games around 2day. There was a big improvement on FIFA 06 but there are still a number of things which you should add to make FIFA 07 even better.

For example on the PS2 version you cant see the referee or linesmen when playing normally. The graphics as the ball hits the net are poor and the ball doesn't spin enough in the air.

Secondly, you should be able to edit as many players as you like as many times as you like without limits. This is one of my biggest anger points with '07.

Thirdly where the hell are holland, czech republic and japan?!? These are top national teams which you guys need to get the rights too quick!!

Fourthly, some of the players such as adebayor, saha, carrick dont look anything like they do in real life, (overall 90% of players do look like they do in real life and this is a really good thing.)

Fifthly, some major teams that have been in the champs league aren't in the game such as CSKA Moscow, Steau Bucharest (who have even won the champs league) and Red Star Belgrade, Levski Sofia, etc.

There should be more stadiums, more weather types (eg. snow, very hot, very cold, heavy rain, light drizzle, etc.) There should also be more detail on the pitchside, eg. subs waiting on the bench and managers too.

Alternate commentaries to clive tydlesly and andy gray would be good (how about motty??). How come the commentators never say the names of the goalkeepers? I also think that there should be more control of the goalkeepers.

Another thing which would really liven up the game is during grudge matches (eg. real barca or lvpool man u) there should be more fan noise, flares, violence, riots?? And players should have more fowls than usual as well.

There should be way more international teams too. More elaborate goal celebrations and more atmosphere at stadiums, better dribbling is needed to represent the skills of ronaldinho, c ronaldo, simao, etc.

I think you should always see the players during substitutions cos its a gud feature to show them pat eachother on the back and run on, etc.

All the cups should be called their proper names and the names should be referred to by the commentators, eg. FA Cup, Champions League, Charity Shield.

Before the start of every game there should be a coin toss and the 2 captains shake hands on the centre circle with the refs.

Injuries should be improved (eg. head injuries, leg injuries, ankle, arm etc.) with medics and stretchers coming on to the field.

Managers should be featured more, eg. walking on the touchline, shouting instructions shaking hands after game.

Some players should have "friends and enemies" and so they're more likely to tackle their enemies and have fights / pushes with them eg. joey barton, bellamy, scholes, etc. Also crowds should respond to certain players eg. liverpool fans would boo gary neville especially if he got the ball or everton fans would boo rooney. There should also be boo boys who are always booed eg. dickov, bellamy, savage. Likewise, the crowd should cheer when their favourite player gets the ball eg. ronaldo for man u, del piero for juve, ronaldinho for barca, gerrard for liverpool, etc.

The weather should also affect the way games are played, eg. rain causes puddles and players falling over, slipping and the ball stopping.

The champions league music has to be in fifa 08 along with the tournament itself. This would make the game so much better, it really would.

A good feature would be to have a man of the match like in the pro evolution soccer game.

Streakers or pitch invaders would liven up the game as well. More crowd chants would be good. Also some songs such as 'you'll never walk alone' or 'we're going to wembley ' 'forever blowing bubbles' would be great. More fans should have visible posters, scarves and banners. They need to be more vocal, especially a large home crowd who's losing like if Man U or Barca was losing the crowd would really get behind them.

I would love for the goalkeepers to play a bigger part in the games eg. taking penalties and free kicks like rogerio ceni does for sao paulo fc. The centre backs need to come forward all the time for free kicks and corners. there also needs to be a quick free kick option like on pro evo.

Also, players such as Pele, Marradona, G.Best should feature in the classic 11 team. More premiership and La Liga stadiums would be great. When a team wins the fa cup or leauge cup there needs to be a more detailed celebration and presentation of the cup on a platform like in real life.

I think that the commentators should get more excited if a star player gets the ball in a dangerous area of the pitch, eg. 'Kaka has it on the edge of the box now, we know he's a threat from there!' or 'and Ronaldo is making a wonderful run towards goal!"

Some quality players like Marco Materazzi and Patrick Kluivert are missing and I don't know why?? Also, there needs to be more crowd reaction when the home side scores, how about some cut scenes of the different crowd reactions to a goal?

The matches against the CPU are far too easy and I find that even the world class mode is kinda easy to score and win games. The difficulties need to be made harder.

I think there should be the ability to do a deliberate hand ball or deliberately waste time during corners, goal kicks and throw ins. The ref should use cards if necessary.

Maybe you should think about releasing FIFA 08 after the end of the summer transfer window and so all the teams will be 100% correct with all the right players. This would save a lot of our time and I know a lot of people share this view. Personally, I dont mind doing all the transfers because it is quite fun and a good way of learning about new players too.

Something that I have noticed is that Peter Crouch isn't as tall as he should be because he's only just taller than bellamy on the game which is obviously wrong. Players like Jan Koller, Zigic and Crouch need to be their correct heights eg. 6 foot 6

In cold weather, I think players should wear gloves and long sleeves, eg. like Thierry Henry does. Also, players like Henry, Lennon, Ronaldo, Kaka, Van Persie and Bellamy need to have more pace and be quicker than they are currently.

I think that goalkeepers should be able to get booked and we should be able to control them as easily as any other player. After the end of each game more needs to happen, eg. players swap shirts, shake hands, celebrate with eachother, talk to eachother, etc.

In the edit player feature you should be able to have more choice of headbands, wrist and ankle tapes and football boots, there needs to be more football boots.

Is it just me or does Didier Drogba's mouth do some weird mumbling thing when the camera does a close up on him? If so why?

There needs to be a world cup, euro and copa america feature as well with a qualifying feature too. The players need to show more emotional responses during the games, eg. Gerrard encouraging the liverpool crowd to keep singing like in the CL Final 2005, or pulling their hair when they miss an open goal or crying when they lose a final. Also a really cool celebration of a last minute winning goal would be a huge pile up including the physios and subs (this might not be possible but it would look so cool)

Keep proucing great games and please take notice of what I and all the thousands of other fans are saying because we love the games so much and just want to see them get better and better and better. Remember FIFA is better than PRO Evo and always will be !!!!

I think to create a feeling of realism in the games there should be proper advertising boards with real adverts, eg. like in the Champs League there is Ford, Sony, Heineken, etc. Players and referees should have reputations according to their past actions eg. a ref who is extremely strict or a player who continuously dives in the area.

I think there should be the conference teams because it would make it more interesting. I also think the English Cup should be called the FA Cup and the League Cup to the Carling Cup.

hello i am from Romania i have a couple a things that you should think about for fifa 08.first of all you really should study every player's boots that are in the game especially in CHampions league.second please study the stadiums well they really dont loke as same as in real life.third please some sun or winter all you see in fifa 07 is rain so for fifa 08 you should really thing about the weather.can you tell me when is gonna be released fifa 08 for pc. thank you

Please put Russian Liga in the game.Russia has a lot of good team whith big history and tradition like Spartak , CSKA, Dynamo, Torpedo, Zenit, Lokomotiv. Two our team play in UEFA Champions League, and two in UEFA cup. CSKA got hold UEFA cup 2005. I think that Russian Premier League prepotent than some of leagues which has already added in FIFA 07.For example, I assure you, that Russian Premier League prepotent than Norwegian league, or Korean league, or Polish league.Football in Russia is very popular sport. In manager mode you should be able to edit your own teams kit and teams stadium, you should also be able to manage countries as well as clubs.
In the preseason you should be able to earn more money for your club by doing a tour of a country or continent like Manchester United's tour of Asia. After the tours your player would have lost some fatigue but have got a trophy and some extra money.
And there ahs to be more leagues as well especially in the next-gen versions.

i fink u hav to be able to create new kits in manager modeand the players should actualy lift up a trophy when your club wins one.there should also be indoor football,5-a-side,faces should be more realisic there should bea coin toss at the begining of eeach match and the linesmen/referee should be visible at all times and you should have more time before taking a penalty..ALL cups should be called there proper name.oh and instead of recieving e-mails from ur assistant manager and people they should come up and talk to you.and when you create a player ther should be more hair styles,boots and face templates which you can ajust to make ur face.

Please put Romanian Liga 1 and Argentinian League in the game.Romania has good teams like Steaua,Dinamo,Rapid which played in european cups last years and this year romania has 2 teams in UCL and Uefa cup.Please put this league in FIFA 2008

The Hyundai A-League of Australia has to be in FIFA 08. And you should be able to make your own detailed formations. I don't know if you can but try and get the rights for a better Classic XI, I like the idea but you should have real classic players like Maradona, Pele and Cruyff...
But more importantly A-League...Australia...A-League.......

The ticket price feature is good, but no matter what youve always got a full stadium, take a page out of Pro Evo's book and have patches of empty seats for underperforming teams.

PPS: In the Manager Mode you should have alot more time to do pre season transfers, as often you will only have one game to get new players at the start of a new season.

Also in the transfer mode, make an option to swap players, swap plus cash, etc. Im sick to death of trying to buy a player but being turned down because "THE TEAM DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS"

How bout the Argentinian League, a few teams from Russia and the Ukraine such as CSKA, and Shaktar Donetsk.

There also definately needs to be a huge amount of new team management features. You should be able to create your own formation. Its seems that every year FIFA is taking a backwards step since FIFA 98 in this regard. 98 was the best FIFA ever, if you had all the same features in a new version, FIFA would trump Pro Evo. Indoor Soccer anyone!?

PS: The A-League has to be in there!

This might of had been said before but i think that the australian league shoud be included the A-league. Also make your own league and tournements you could have international and club teams play against each other. One last thing that you could make a 8 super teams and put them in a league together or in another league

2. more player assesories ESPECIALLY SHOES its almost heartbreaking when your created player steps onto the pitch wearing cheap make up shoes when most other players ronaldinho in particular step up with shining pairs of nikes if he can wear them why cant we

I have a few thoughts.

1. In the 360 version, its really hard to tackle. Fix that.

2. I see its going to come out on WII. DO NOT USE THE WIIMOTE USE THE CLASSIC CONTROLLER or THE GAME CUBE CONTROLLER. The wiimote has some flaws, and its a pain to use when you have to swing it in an exact direction.

3. Better moves and ball control.

4. Put more goal celebrations in. Its anoying to have to unlock them and watch the player do teh same thing every time unless you do.

5. Put the champions league, the world cup, and euro as an option. i dont want to have to make all those by myself. it gets anoying.

6. Season long injuries, or more realistic injuries.

7. More Teams, More Cups, More Unlockables - Be Creative with it.

8. Something like practicing with your team in the season, like running drills to improve the skills, or pre game warm ups could be pretty sweet and add just a little extra fun to it. But if you do it, make it able to be skipped for people that dont want to do it, or play with a good team already.

9. Dont put Ronaldo on the cover, hes a crying diving little girl. Put someone thats actually good..like Ruud Van Nistelrooy or Didier Drogba.

In the way the technical director national selection, podria to begin equally like they have it now, you begin with an equipment(team) and in conformity with your performance(discharge) you vallan offering countries in order that you direct them, since estes with a national selection, you could call players to the selection, that your you could oragizar friendly parties(games), also that you could play all the glasses and the eliminating ones, in agreement with the region that you chose to direct, and also that every four years you play a glass of the world.

when you create a player you should be able to choose a recording of some last names, then in the game the commentry it would pronounce that name.
Also in the manager mode when you choose a sponsor the kit should change to suit that sponsor.

Here's a brand new idea!
I believe to make FIFA 08 an amazingly great game, you should have a "Superstar" mode, much like in Madden 07. You create a player, go through a try out that includes mini-drills and such, and depending on your score for each of the drills and your skills and qualification, the teams that are interested in buying you can give you an offer, and you can choose your team. Then you play for them and you progress as a player and get better, and then better, more well known teams give you offers, and you go play for them. The object of "Superstar" mode could be to make your way to the top, get covers on FIFA magazines and games, and become one of the greatest footballers in history. And maybe you could even add a World Cup Finals feature to the game, or UEFA tournament.

I have a great idea.
How about the power to see the players coming out of the changing rooms before the match. to get you all hyked up for the match.

I have been a fan of FIFA since it was in first available for supernintendo. I have witnessed the greatness of the game and enjoyed the progress its made with the advance in game systems and other technologies increasing. I would like to add that since FIFA added the spanish commentary (since FIFA 05) the game has become increasingly desirable for spanish speaking FIFA fans. However, the spanish commentary is significantly more limited than the english one. I gues that since this feature has only been out for 3 years there has only been little time to enhance this, but trust me when I say that if Manolo Lama and Paco Gonzalez would have a greater variety of commentary in the game as they do in real life, as well as more personal insights (for example when they discuss the significance of fans for soccer, or the theories of first touch and the duties of the manager to the team). Another thing I had in mind was another play mode were you could pick the best clubs of all times, from the classic clubs in the 20s to the later soccer legends in the sport. That would make for a good playing challenge, I promise you.

Put in Montenegro and Togo in FIFA 08

Pitch invasions are in football so why not include what is in football. The A-League would be a fantastic addition to the series along with other leagues across the globe.
