There should be more commentators. Put Italian and Spanish commentators into the game to make it more realistic, instead of just having English ones. Then you should be able to change which ones in game settings.

please please pleas, make saved games from previous versions compatibale with the new one. Surely EA must realise that people who play manager games tend to be long-term players. Yet every year a new version comes out and the old game i've been playing has to be turfed.
And make it possible to delay games. even if there are only select dates that a match can be moved to. i'm sick of having to play 4 games in 4 days, or (in lower leagues) 2 matches in one day.

I think that u shud b able 2 manage internaational teams in manager mode, in create a tournament mode u shud b able 2 pik from champion's league, fa cup etc. in manager mode u shud b able 2 hav better academy and reserves, they play matches as well and not just sit there waiting 2 b called up. u shud b able 2 change kit (or at least the colour) and the sponser u pik should be on the kit. better sponsers (real ones ) not like gypsie tea something like nike , adidas or samsung. create a stadium. owner gives u money in each transfer window not where u hav 2 save up 4 it. longer cup winning celebrations. live interviews of multiple questions. u shud b able 2 see scorers and league positions from other leagues. players get called up to world cup euro etc. realistic transfers and other teams actually buying players not just using same players. more realistic selling as well so arsenal will try and hold on to fabregas, man u will try and hopld on to ronaldo. and last of all more leagues like russian league, greek, romanian. and more teams like from afrian and egyptian. thanks if un put any of these ideas in

firstly ur patch is stupid for fifa 09 so please fix the crab walking the kit numbers and make sure fiwc is better in this one. also how can u not put villa park in it. there should be a make your own stadium thing. also the player prices in fifa 09 r ridiculous plz sergio ramos for 6 mil WTF

Oh yes,

Add an option for us to choose whether to manage reserve league as well in manager modes. I would love to buy young players and play against other reserves teams in the league, unearth a gem just like Arsene Wenger!

1) Add more realism to refereeing. Controversial decision like giving penalty when it's not a foul, Disallowed goals (Non offside goal or ball crossed the line goal being ruled out). Not giving penalty when clearly fouled. Unfair sending off.

2) More penalty box incident, accidental or intentional handballs from players.

3) More realistic match result simulation in Manager mode. Always see teams like Man utd, Chelsea, Arsenal finishing behind middle table teams in real life.

4)Please add edit kit option back to Manager Modes!

5) Offside - Think there is an error in the offside rules, whenever my player with the ball have gone past the last defender, passing to a team mate slightly ahead is being ruled offside. The last defender is already behind the ball, how is it an offside?

If you could just add a bit more bigger african teams like Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Egypt and Ghana. Cos they are the big African teams

Please i want the following features to be available in FIFA 10 :
1- the most important, stadium creator mode
2- create adboards for stadiums

5- Santiago bernabeu stadium

Make the PC version as good as the NG-Version.
I think the grafiks and the gameplay of fifa 09 on the PC are worse then Pro Evolution Soccer, so it should be better.
Also i think there should be breaks for hurt players to get help by a doctor and come in later and thing like that that make the game more authencity.

When the 90 min. light is flashing sometimes I get the ball and I start running towards the goal but
suddenly the ref. stops the match. The supporters could be more european styled supporters
(more aggressive supporters) and it would be more realistic if the players got tackled but stayed
on the ground for a longer time period.

You should
(1)make it possible to edit formations before each game without having to save them to use them.
(2)make players only in national teams (e.g. Arshavin) available in manager mode, so that you can buy them without having to edit the national squads. you could have them being bought from a company like Tevez in real life.
(3)Transfers more accurate (no more Windass to chelsea etc.)
(4)Get Argentinian, Russian and Ukranian league. Lose Australian and possibly MLS.
(5)More accurate Scottish stadiums, in particular rangers and celtic. They don;t all play in parks.

put more leagues in the game such as conference, conference south and etc. and so u can edit the players and after a season u can edit the kit and make a new 1 for the next season because it gets boring having the kits for the whole 16 seasons.

In BAPM i dont know there allready is but at the end of the season team can bid for you and u can move clubs. allso in BAPM you should get wages like real players and u can buy exp so like £2000 for 100 exp or somthing like that

you should be able to get a new sponsor for a new season, and redesign the kit. otherwise it gets too boring! have more stadiums e.g. barnebeu. have players being called up for the international games and have players having more severe injuries like leg break, broken rib etc otherwise players recover before the next game. and be able to manage a big club like chelsea or man utd from the first season in career manager otherwise players retire before you manage them, or quality players are transferred from your club to other clubs. please reply back to me a.s.a.p to let me know if any ideas are considered!

This is a great game. Love the custom controlled celebrations and everything. Great graphics. Very well done; front end developers.

01. Please lose the EA logo transition. It is way too much. Not cool.
02. Ability to save rosters online; similar to custom tatics. That would be really cool. It currently takes too much time to set your roster, especially online, others do not wish to wait that long.
03. Add more announcers. This would be really cool if you had like 8 different announcers. Mix it up. The current 2 get old after a while. I like them, just add a larger mix. Would still have to be well done of course. But I think this would be a great addition. I know 05, 06, or 07 had another announcer. How about adding more then just two?

I feel that whenever i pass/shoot/cross the ball or even change the direction in which the player is moving there is a slight delay before this occurs. I think all aspects of the game should be instant as soon as you press the desired button, this would make for a much slicker game.

Also, with regards players, it feels like they are not properly connected to the pitch, it feels as though they are playing on ice almost, as the way players move across the pitch is too fluid.

And i think that more animations should be incorporated into the game and also to improve the atmosphere of games eg. when a goal is scored it doesnt feel as though you have scored as there is not much atmosphere or response from the crowd.

Finally, there should be more stadiums of teams and there should be a referee on the pitch at all times.

01. Toss the EA Logo transition during replays. Just go to the next frame like in 08. For users on Big Screen TV's and HD, it is too much.......overpowering, annoying, and a tad arrogant. We know who makes the game. Spend more time making a better game, and less time selling out.

02. Bring back the side to side movement. In 08 you could dribble sideways with the ball. It was very effective. And used alot on defense to square up to the other team.

03. Too many goofy tactics and stats. Who really looks at that stuff? Especially the game stats and alot of the other in-game info. Time could be better spent on the crowd and real-life stadiums; Bernabeu and others.

FIFA 09 CLUBS:
Currency. This will allow us to put a value on a human player's head. This is needed for successful trades and loans. The better the play, the higher his value? The offers on the table!
Voting System. Manager's will probably get tired of their position. Let's vote for a new one. Maybe even vote for a club MVP while we're at it!
Sponsors. Managers get to choose a sponsorship for their team which determines how much money that team will start with, how much they'll get per game, etc. (Just like in MM). It'd be nice if they were real-world sponsors.
Custom Kits. Managers will create the kits themselves! New kits every season?
Scouts. The Managers will probably need help. They should be able to appoint club scouts that can be invited to watch other team's matches. (Ofcourse, these scouts can set if they want to be visible to any players playing the match)
Keepers. Enabling the keeper to be controlled by a player would be fantastic! PLEASE DO THIS! Ofcourse the controls will probably have to be a bit different than the out-field players. Milky23p came up with a nice keeper control setup.
Injuries. I know this is mean to the player, but the injuries should make players inactive for a couple of games (or days) depending on how serious the injury is.
Cards. Yellow means yellow, but Red should mean you're out of the match, and depending on the rules, out of the next one as well. That'll learn 'em!

GAMEPLAY:
Flow. Take out cutscenes, field resets, and time stoppages. We all hate field resets because it makes it impossible to catch a team out of their position. Time Stoppages are something that will definitely need to be sorted out with the way we time our halves.
Quick Throw-ins, Quick free-kicks.
Weather. Let's see it and feel it! And it'd be nice if we had some random weather patterns that affect the ball.

GRAPHICS:
Crowd. I want the crowds to feel like every person there is someone different and has a life of it's own. Also, some crowds have flares and smoke. This might work good and look pretty in the game.
Cutscenes. I know this might be hard, but if there was a camera off-field that showed real-time field cutscenes, that'd be much better than pre-programmed cutscenes. These animations should be programmed into the players instead.
Managers. This would be very hard for EA to do, but I also want to hear my manager barking at me as well as my players. I'd love to see him on the sidelines waving and trying to push the team further, that'd be nice.
Subs. I'd like to see the on-coming subs warming up on the side-lines.
Ballboys. These help you get the ball back quicker. It'd be sweet to see some camera operators as well, following the ball or certain players.
Weather. The players want to get dirty.. let's get them dirty

ARENA/PRACTICE MODE:
Multiplayer. Have more than 1 player allowed to practice on the keeper. And maybe have one of the players become a keeper so he can practice being a keeper as well.
Camera. Give us the option to change it so we can practice our controls for the way we're used to.
Obstacles. We have the ability to make this a training ground as well, so let's add obstacles to the certain drills we want to practice on. Walls for freekicks, pylons for dribbling, etc.

i think there should be a referee seen on the fiels at all times at the moment there is only a ref when a freekick is awarded and also there should be a womens league.

RE Denis: Denis, you are right about all of those things.... but what we really need is, enhance crowd, who reacts on everything, gets mad and fights with the opponents crowd etc... and we need some more real boots, like the Nike Mercurial Vapor IV, theres is only one! we should get them in all of different colors, like red, blue, green, orange, white etc... and the Ronaldo ankle tape.... you know the dobble up

On be a pro seasons, make it that you have to do a training course when you are looking for a club and if you do the course fast enough you can get offered a place in the clubs reserve team
make it also so it goes on until you can choose to retire (min 32), and make it so you sign contracts, and all the transfer dilemma that is in todays football
also make it so other teams keep changing, so you don't play the same team over and over again - so chelsea sell lampard to inter, but they buy arshavin and soares

Everybody is loving the game. But we need to have some critisism here. Even though I am addicted to the game. (in 1,5 months since the game came out I played about 300 online games)

MY POINTS ARE ONLY BASED ON GAMEPLAY OF THE GAME AND NOT EXPANSIONS OF THE GAME TYPES

I REALLY HOPE EA WILL DO SOMETHING WITH MY POINTS

First of all the "Better teams" as Man U and Barcelona (5 star teams in General) are really annoying to play against. Someone who cannot play the game well can just simply fire a shot with Ronaldo 35 meters from the goal and it goes in very easily. To easy if you ask me.

Also the difference between players with a rating of 85+ and players between 78 and 85 is way too big. This causes automatically that everyone will play with the 5 star teams only. This is very shamefull for the game since there are many other nice teams to play with. We have to keep in mind that 90% of the players in this game have rating below 78. So therefore I think players with Rating 78-85 should be little better. And the difference less to 85+ players.

Maybe it is a good idea to change the points for the ranking. Purely make it so that you get really low points for winning with 5 star teams in general. It is very frustrating to see that if you play 20 games in one evening that over 15 matches team were against Man U and Barca ( I do not want to point at any one, as I also sometimes play with Barca just to get some extra points:-) )

One more thing is that if the connection with Internet is lost due to internet connection you should not loose points. It should only give you the points if you close the game or if you select on purpose Quit game.

THE MOST IMPORTANT thing I would like to see improved is the defending. You people from EA say: "You have to learn your defending abilities" (it was in an interview for Gamespot.com) "Defending is an art in this game". That is completely true. It is completely impossible to do good defending. Defenders even from 5 star teams (players which are earning millions per year and which have a rating 80+) can't even proparly keep the ball to their feet. They are always running the wrong way. Or holding/stopping runnning for a sec so the attacker can run through. Also it is very annoying that quite some time defenders are just standing still looking at the ball and doing nothing. Same here for the goalie. You want to let the keeper come out but it just does not come.

I want to point out that I like attacking football better than defending football. But Defending football is very important part of the game. But like said with the current AI settings it is merely impossible. I tried out multiple settings of my team to prevent this but it does not help. Long balls that are played over heads of defenders which every defender could head easily back to the keeper in real life, fall in Fifa 09 in front of the feet of attackers.

If a defender is 80+ it should really be tough to get past them. But that is absolutely not the case. I sometimes have the idea that you can just as easily play with a team of defenders of 60-70. It does not make a difference. They are only a little slower.

This automaticall brings back the first point if you play against a player which is worse than you and you play with 4 star or minus team and then against 5 star they again fire a shot from 35 yardsand it goes in. VERY frustrating.

I would like to see some more possible settings for my team. So that you can give settings per player specific. For instance if you put a very offensive player on position RM and a defensive player on LM. The settings that you select are effecting all midfielders and I want only one player to be offensive and not both.

I'd like to see the real dutch national team and I want more seasons for be a pro

if we play manager mode , the weather should get colder and nastier as the season goes along into the winter, and the weather shoud get better towrd the last few months of the season. so the players can wear long sleeve shirts in cold weather

When in career mode and international matches are due to take place not players from only England or Spain should go out to play
Example:
1) England vs Spain not only players from engkand should go out to play if i am using manchester united. This is very stupd it is likethe other player don't get a chance to leave my team unless i loan or sell them to another team.
2)We should be waiting for England matches but we should also be able to see when other teams play and how much they lose by.

Since I joined, I have written down any good ideas I've read or thought of for FIFA 2010 (PS3 and 360 versions). Here is the list:

Manager Mode

- Minimum full squad size of around 25.
- More realistic league standings and results.
- Create a new kit: increases sales but can only be done once every two years
- Player form integration from Live Season affected by injury, performance, appearances, and consistency attribute. Form could be worked out by finding the average of the past three match ratings.
- Actually create a manager that you can see during the game.
- UEFA Champions League licence with the logo as a transition
- Manage a national team

Season Progression
- More friendly matches at the beginning of the season, arranging the usual four then choosing from a range of pre-season tours from around the world.
- At the start of the season, you have an option to create a stadium with a certain budget.
- When you upgrade your Stadium Manager, you get a certain budget devoted to adding to your stadium.
- More League matches in Midweek and on Sundays.
- Higher financial income (TV money, league money, money from several different sponsors).
- More frequent minor injuries (flu, stomach bug, ear infections, etc.)
- Day-by-day option, especially in the transfer window
- 7-day training schedule, with the option to get involved though mini-games and practices.
- More realistic player growth – growth in spurts depending on form (higher form, faster growth). Players shouldn't get to ridiculously high ratings as their peaks.
- Release players at any stage of the season
- Job offers throughout the season, including from international teams
- More multiple-choice questions
- Edit kit numbers
- Cup replays, then extra time and penalties
- If a smaller team beats a much bigger team the fans can run onto the pitch and celebrate with the players.

Scouting and Transfers
- More Scouting from the AI
- Reserve squad (optional to manage)
- Player Shortlist
- AI make more transfers
- AI make more realistic transfers
- Ability to offer players in transfer deals
- Form affects a player’s value
- Trial mode (would be similar to the training mode but you could test out a player before completing the signing).
- Be able to request money from the board for players, and they give you it depending on their expectations, size of the club, or price/popularity of the player.
- When selling, set an asking price for a player.
- After a player is bought, you see a photo of him wearing your club’s shirt in a newspaper or something.
- Players with low morale hand in transfer requests.

Statistics
- Be able to see league standings, top scorers, etc. from other leagues.
- At the end of the season, you could reward a player of the year award to any one player in your squad (it could effect team chemistry if it’s a bad decision).
- If you get sacked half way through the season, then your next job is half way through the season.
- Individual player pages, showing their information and historical statistics such as a growth chart and goals/assists.
- A team statistics page showing a league position chart, trophies won, etc.

In-game
- Seasonal and Regional Weather.
- Be able to see other match results/scores at half time.
- Louder crowds for more important games
- A, B, and C team sets (Where you can choose three different sets of line-ups and tactics, similar to how Man Utd can use 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, or 4-3-3 based systems against different teams).

End of Season
- Team and player of the year awards
- Season highlights video showing match results, progression of league table, edited highlights of your favourite games, and trophy celebrations. This could be saved externally.
- Longer trophy celebrations

Online
- Online player scouting – a huge database of young talents is made available online. You could browse through it at the cost of 'virtual money per minute' and download and 'buy' players from the database. You could also make requests to EA for new young talents to be added if you know of any
- Choose to play games against real people online - this would make Manager Mode more exciting and unpredictable as the other team can perform really well or really badly. The person you play against would be someone who selects 'random game' in online mode and participates in someone else's Manager Mode.

I Would love to see some sort of minigame!!! Sometimes after too many games i would love to just have a fun minigame, like World Cup or something to play with friends!

I miss the Russian League, because I like some russian players like akinfeev for the career. Sometimes is the goalkeeper stupid, but I see the difference between the 08 and 09. I hope in the fifa 2010 I can make dives. Although I think fifa 09 is a great game. Sry for my englisch it's not my first language. ;-)

Funny to mention how much people want to add without regarding the amount of space and power required to fulfill them. This league that league, if it can be done I guess go for it. FIFA 09 is great... but 10 would be better if:

- Update UEFA Champions League participating teams (there were a lot missing)

- Have a team alphabetical search option when searching teams to include in created tournaments

- Allow people to choose their own weather during season matches like in '08

- Create Your Own Be-A-Pro Tournament

- The Brazilian Teams weren't so underrated

- Be-A-Pro Seasons that involve international players to go to a full world cup tournament, thus request to change teams after seasons

- Have a change in defensive play regardless of skill level: Where players with high defensive coverage would magnetize much more toward the attackers, so that defending wouldn't be so EXTREMELY difficult

- Assign a button that doesn't cause an offensive flop thanks to mistake-ably overpressing defensive buttons (very frustrating). It could quite possibly be applied to that unused button while in defense, so that when held down only allows players to make defensive maneuvers without flowing into offensive maneuvers right away.

- Which brings up assigning complete button-to-button freedom when allowing players to assign their own custom controls, rather than having configured patterns that are changeable yet remain the same in transition from offense to defense

FIFA 09 is KING, and has answered every request I communicated from '08. It may seem like much, but the changes I ask for aren't so huge in programming as some others. Great game and good work staff!

i would like if you create more international leagues eg. the russian league and more leagues in south america argentina,paraguay

ive been playing this game since fifa98 and am crazzzily in love with it. Its more than a religion at my house. id really like to see much more personalization as far as GUI is concerned.
Also, now since you'd have millions of gamers transforming from 09 to 2010 id love 2 see some kind of loyalty program of people who could come back with their old version of fifa. now me being a collector would not let go of even fifa 03 but this would be a great loyalty program

I would really like to see more South African teams on the game! And if u add PSL on the tournaments it would be great!

This is the best FIFA game that has been released in the series so far (FIFA 09).
But there are a few points that i would like to say which in my opinion would make the game a lot better. Firstly, when i play a through ball behind the defence and my attacker is running onto the ball, he sometimes slows down and waits for the defenders or keeper to close him down before he speeds up again. This needs to be sorted out because there are many times when i am through on goal and this little problem in the gameplay causes me to miss out on a great chance.
Another problem is that sometimes the commentators say things a little too late or sometimes at a really random time; for example, i was passing the ball around near the half way line, and the commentator shouts out 'Thats a great save from the goalie!.' Which was really random.
I also feel that all the football boots should be real ones and the 'EA Sports' boots in the game should be scrapped-it would give the game that much more originality and edge over Pro Evo (which is absolutely crap this year :D).
Also, i am dissapointed that the Netherlands team is not fully licenced in the game and following their impressive show in Euro 2008 i really wanted to play with them. but cannot.
Also, as a mad Liverpool and football fan i am suprised at how under-rated a few of the players are on the game, for example, Steven Gerrard (who is usually all over the pitch in real life and is vital in the game but when you play with Liverpool it feels as though he is just another played on the pitch), Juninho, Walcott.
Apart from these minor little issues, the game is great and i have enjoyed playing it. I hope FIFA 10 (or whatever they may call it next year) is made along the same lines and they add another 250 gameplay additions to the game :).
