should be able to choose where your players make runs to. Players should not just stand prior to the
kick and if the ball is not served at them, then they do not move
- As teams have lower rankings overall throughout the game, all of the players are noticeably slower.
Lower skilled players are not necessarily slower than those who are more skilled, and more skilled
players aren't necessarily always fast.
- Increased situational intelligence from the AI. For example, at certain times in past FIFA games the
AI passes themselves into openings yet will not use "sprint" to try to attack space and get behind the
defence.
- When in manager mode, the big name clubs throughout the world that are not user controlled should
make bids for your best players. In previous FIFA games the computer only makes bids for your
players when you make them available for sale, it is more realistic to have your best players targeted
by bigger clubs whether they are for sale or not.
- As a players dribbling rating gets better, their dribbles should be closer to their feet. Better dribbling
players should be able to sprint and not have the ball stray too far from them while worse dribbling
players should have the ball stray a bit farther when they sprint.
- In manager mode, when players attributes increase over time, physical attributes should be almost
static. Rarely over time do players become able to sprint a lot faster or jump a lot higher, it happens,
but you should not be able to change a player from an 80 sprint speed to a 99 sprint speed because of
experience points
- Goalkeepers should act more towards how they are taught. They should catch balls in the air as high
as they can, not wait for the ball to come to them, use their hands at every opportunity where it is
allowed
When fouled, and advantage is given, there should be an option to just take the free kick and not play
through the advantage
After a foul, you should be able to try to sway the mood of the referee. Doing so may result in cards
for dissent or have the referee more closely watch the other team for fouls.

- After a certain number of consecutive passes (maybe 10 or 15?) the crowd should cheer each additional pass and boo when the opposition finally get the ball back. Ideally this should be activated towards the end of the game and only if a team is winning.
- On the subject of booing, when in possession away players who have just committed a bad tackle should be booed by the crowd for a short period afterwards.
- In Manager Mode you should be able to have a team photo (with the trophies you have won) at the start of every season and be able upload it online. This could be a way of keeping a record of your signings and achievements - a bit of nostalgia you know?!
- I am an Everton fan (COYB and FTRS!), in Fifa 08 the ‘virtual Everton crowd’ used to sing ‘Grand Old Team’ alot and this doesn’t really happen in Fifa 09. I felt it was a lot more atmospheric to include more of these team specific chants, 3 or 4 specific chants per ‘big club’ (yes, that includes the mighty Blues!!!) would be nice!
- I really miss training games! They should be in normal mode, not Be a Pro! This should include traditional stuff like being able to play your ‘reserve team’ in a match and free/corner/penalty kick training and some fun stuff like cross bar challenge.

In manager mode you should be able to look at league tables & player stats from other countries.
In manager mode results should be way more realistic(Big 4 teams winning more games etc.)

Pitches deteriorate slightly towards the end of the season.
Turning sharp while you're running is unrealistically slow. Also, it's enough to hold the sprint button for 1 sec and then turn sharp and it's like he's been running in full speed before turning. Fix this.
More realistic long range effort. For example Ronaldos swerving shots or Lampard making the ball bounce in front of the keeper.
More range of free kicks e.g. top/bottom corner curlers, drill it through or under the wall, and of course the Ronaldo special.
Ball physics should be refined.
The manager and bench should DEFINITELY be visible.
You should be able to “organize†the players at offensive and defensive corners. E.g. if you are Middlesborough, you’d like to put Huth, Wheater and Pogatetz in the box when you have an offensive corner, but you can’t.
And if you are Man City and you have a defensive corner, and Hart gets the ball, you´d want Ireland, Robinho and Shaun Wright-Phillips to be around the halfway line so you can throw/kick the ball to them, and then counter-attack and possibly score (City are really good at this too).

Goals scored in the Arena and in matches should be able to be saved on the HDD.
You should not be able to sprint straight past the AI and score a goal. Fix this.
When a free kick is given and you have the ball, if you have the time to kick it away and you do, a yellow card should be given.
Who you choose as captain should have a baring on the game. For example, if you are Liverpool, picking Gerrard as captain would lift the team more than if it was Dossena or Lucas. The leadership attribute should mean something.
The play shouldn’t always be stopped when a free-kick is given. The player should get the ball kicked over to him and take it quickly if no card is being given.
My teammates should make runs themselves on occasion, without having to be told to.

anyway, fifa is without the best football series ever made and will always be 'leagues' ahead of pro evo with their shoddy fake kits. thanks to ea for making amazing games and I hope that you will try to incorporate my suggestions to further-improve an already stunning game.
2When a team buys a player they actually play him and give him a realistic number. E.g. In my game Fulham bought Timo Hildebrand and gave him number 2 and never played him once.
3.The 4th official should be viewable when substitutions are made on also when time is added on (maybe a small box in the corner of the screen showing him indicating added on time).
4.The scouting system needs to be fixed because it just finds made up names. It should be telling you new young talents from all over the world not fake players.
5.The transfer negotiating system isn’t great. When a team rejects a bid from a club they should tell the bidding club if they will listen to any more offers and their demands.
6.Have a TV company sponsor the game to make it feel more like you’re watching a match on television (e.g. Sky Sports) although don’t overuse the TV companies name or make it too commercial (e.g. ‘Sky Sports’ Fifa 2009)
7.Each club should have their mascot (e.g. Man. United – Fred the Red) going around the pitch near the fans in the pre-match scenes.
8.The commentary should really improve for example if there is a shot that goes narrowly wide have the commentator stop what he’s saying and go ooooh or something. In Fifa 08 he says al the build up and by the time he comments on the shot the goalkeeper has already taken his kick-out. Commentators should also mention- player’s form, milestones, job pressure, birthdays, league positions before + after match. More commentary would be nice. Maybe not more, but more diverse. "He speculated, and almost accumulated". I love that line, but have only heard it a handful of times.
9.There should be more time to complete transfers in pre-season.
10.The fans should be 3-D.
11.The weather conditions in Fifa would be a lot better if, in December for example, you weren’t playing in sunshine. It would be a lot of fun to bring back the snow into Fifa. And also, in Spain for example, it should be sunny for a majority of games. The weather should be chosen by the location of the match and the time of year. In Russia it would be mostly cold, wet weather and a lot of the players would be wearing gloves. In Fifa 09 it never rains during the day and midweek fixtures are mostly during the day. This has to be fixed.
12.The Arena Mode is kind of cool, but we need practice. I'd love to be able to work on set pieces. Work on passing techniques. Work on dribbling moves. Practice mode is the only practical way to do this. The button sequences in FIFA 09 are so elaborate, and the opportunities to actually use some of these skills are limited in game. By adding a practice mode there would be a much higher level of play being displayed for FIFA 2010.
13.It would be class to see your fans going crazy when you score a late goal or if you score in a derby. The crowd needs to get far more involved when you score critical goals.
14.I think it is almost essential to be able to see managers’ faces on the sidelines and see them protest certain decisions and celebrate goals.
15.Goalkeepers should be able to get sent off or injured in a match. You should also be able to bring the keeper up for corners after 85 minutes if you aren’t winning. In Fifa 09 they only come up on 90 mins.
16.You should be able to send substitutes to warm up before you bring them on and if you don’t make them warm up they don’t perform as well and/or get minor injuries. When the substitute comes on they should interact with the departing player e.g. clap hands.
17.Score updates should come up along the bottom of the screen when a goal is scored in another match.
18.The fan should definitely whistle or boo former players, players who injured one of their players and players who got one of their players sent off. There should also be fans with flares and flags in leagues that flares and stuff are permitted e.g. Italy. Newcastle fans could be waving their scarves or Chelsea waving their small flags – Like in real life. Fans should also rarely do Mexican waves rarely. FANS HAVE TO GET MORE INVOLVED. They need to whistle or boo at 50-50 decisions that go against them.
19.There should be player swap deals and player + cash deals in the transfer Market.
20.For Champions League games there should be child mascots.
21.Goalkeepers should occasionally wear a baseball cap if it is a sunny day.
22.Have different pitch dimensions for example Old Trafford is very long and wide and Div.2 England is short and narrow.
23.There could be club personalities for example Arsenal like to play quick short passes and work there way up the field and Bolton Wanderers just play a long ball.
24.Real sponsors in manager mode.
25.You should have the ability to let Goalies take penalties (Rogerio Ceni)
26.In manager mode players should be paid weekly not after every match. Also, in Fifa 09 Rio Ferdinand’s wages were 50k, when really they are 120k. This has to be fixed. Another thing is that players take wage drops far too easily.
27.Throw-in’s are extremely frustrating, you need to have an option of a quick throw
28.If you are winning by a narrow margin against a big team when your keeper catches a cross late in the game they should be able to go to ground and waste time.
29.When you get a goal kick and you take a while to take it, you should get a yellow card for time wasting.
30.More handballs and yellow cards for them.
31.When a player gets the ball in an offside position and scores almost straight after he receives it he should run off celebrating and then see the linesmans flag up. He should then protest the decision along with his manager and team mates if it was a close call.
32.Real referees should be in the game. E.g. Steve Bennett, Howard Webb. THIS IS A NECESSITY.
33.GK's: Free Kicks - Users should be able to take control of their keeper on free kicks to move the keeper left or right to put him in position. This should add another level of strategy in free kick taking. Right now, if you can put the ball over the wall, the keeper has little chance of a save. However, as a free kick taker there is virtually no chance of beating the keeper to the far post. I'd like to see more of a cat and mouse game between the keeper and the kick taker in regards to what corner is attacked. No reaction to certain balls in the box - At times the keeper seems like he has no clue where the ball is, and will simply not react to the ball at all in his box, and let the attacker knock the ball in from INSIDE the 6 yard box. Please fix the reaction time for the keeper in this regard.
34.GK's: Coming Out Against the Through Ball - Last year, when the user held the triangle / Y button, the keeper would attack the ball no matter where it was. For some reason this year the keeper will come out and simply stop. If a through ball gets dropped on about the 20 - 24 meter line, the keeper will stop at the edge of the penalty box and watch as the attacking player runs onto the ball and proceeds to score. Other times, even with a through ball played INSIDE the penalty box, the keeper won't come out to make a play on the ball, even when I'm holding the Triangle button. Users need more control over their keeper. If we want to bring them out, let us bring them out.
35.GK’s: Where am I? - At times the keeper seems like he has no clue where the ball is, and will simply not react to the ball at all in his box, and let the attacker knock the ball in from INSIDE the 6 yard box. Please fix the reaction time for the keeper in this regard.
36.GK's: Near Post Play - Keepers get beat to the near post with regularity this year. It doesn't matter at all what the rating of the keeper is. Even the best keepers get pulled out of position with the simple side dribble of the attacker this year. This is extremely frustrating because often times the angle of the shot isn't great. Especially since it is the keeper's responsibility NOT to get beat to the near post. On shots across the keeper's body, they do seem to play well, and ratings do matter. However, the AI needs to be changed to be more realistic toward the near post angle the keeper takes.
37.Realistic ball physics. E.g. In wet conditions when you take a long shot it skids off the wet surface making it very hard for the keeper.

58.I think there should be a set of standard celebrations with maybe 40 or 50 different ones. And each player with a signature move should be able to do his signature move when scoring, not every player. So if you score a goal with a player with a specific signature move, the controls for that celebration appears on the screen. Some players should not be able to do some moves(like how many players actually do backflips?) And defenders should not do fancy celebrations.
59.When you score a goal, the goalscorer should not always be jogging. They should be able to walk, or sprint(but only able to sprint if they are winning or level)
60.When you score a goal, your teammates look stupid when they just follow you jogging. They should be sprinting over to you jumping around with each other, the goalscorer or with the fans.
61.Players’ should ask for pay rises or new contracts or make it known to the press if they are unhappy at their club.
62.The media should be more involved.
63.It is really annoying when you see the big 4 in England (United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool) not finishing in the top 5! They never all do well they always come in the bottom half and this is rubbish!
64.If it’s late on in a game and you’re losing by more than 1 goal there should be a cut scene of your fans leaving the stadium.
65.Players protest with the ref after harsh decisions.

68.It should be easier to score from headers. The headers in Fifa 09 are absolutely terrible. They never go in.

71.There needs to be more chants in the game like Liverpol – ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ or West Ham – ‘We’re Forever Blowing Bubbles’. Also songs for individual players like Steven Gerrard or Cristiano Ronaldo. It would also be great to have a section of the stadium that is special to the club like The KOP or The Stretford End, and the commentators talking about it.
72.More leagues are needed – Russia, Greece, Argentina, Romania etc.
73.There needs to be a lot more different questions in the media.
74.There should be a medium shirt length like what Cristiano Ronaldo wears.
75.Manager mode should go day by day not match by match.
76.Have certain players wear gloves when it’s cold and show them breathing out cold air.

78.The atmosphere should be electric for games like Inter Milan vs. AC Milan and Barcelona vs. Real Madrid. This isn’t the case in ‘09. The fans should never stop singing and making noise!
79.After a penalty miss show the taker holding his head and the keeper celebrating.
80.In a penalty shoot-out show all the players lining up on the half way line.
81.Show the penalty taker walking from the half way line to the penalty spot in a shoot-out.
82.Players dive in front of the ball if a close range shot is taken in a crowded penalty area. (Sometimes resulting in a hand ball?)
83.You need to sort out where the big teams finish in their league. I remember playing a manager mode where I barely knew any of the teams in the Champions League or the ECC as you call it. The big teams, Bayren Munich, Barcelona, Chelsea, Inter Milan etc. should all be in the Champions League year in year out. This has got to be fixed.
84.At half-time you can see the scores from other grounds.
85.Goalkeepers shouldn’t get 6/10 in match rating if they’ve kept a clean sheet and had nothing to do.
86.If a player does a late tackle on another player a big brawl should start the odd time with 2 or 3 random players getting booked. This would make FIFA a lot more interesting. A lot of people would love to see this in the game and although I know FIFA don’t want to promote fighting in football, it would still be a fun popular feature.
87.There should not be a rule that you can’t buy a player because that club doesn’t have enough players or because you have too much.
88.The rare postponed game around winter because of a waterlogged pitch?
89.There should be a section of away fans at matches. Not that many, but there should be some.
90.Commentators shouldn’t always agree with the Ref.
91.They should have different player techniques for the way they take free kicks,
penalties and the way they strike a ball in general. For example Cristiano Ronaldo’s extraordinary free kick technique or his penalty stutter on the run up.
92.In a 2 leg cup tie, at the start of the 2nd leg the commentator should say exactly what the score is from the 1st leg.
93.Occasionally throughout a match, some statistics should appear on-screen, e.g. possession, shots on target etc.
94.Players should be out for longer with injuries.
95.Have a press conference the odd time? Maybe after your best player is linked with a move away or something?
96.There needs to be more deflected shots.
97. Maybe if you take a shot and it was cleared on the line, the Referee should run over to the linesman and ask did he see it and then make the decision to award a goal or not. The commentators could also comment on this.
98. Have it so that you can shield the ball out of play without having to always touch it.

I am not really disgusted about the commentary but a lot of people say that they think that there needs to be the different commentators for the different leagues and not Andy Gray and Martin Tyler for every game. I don’t want them 2 out of FIFA. I don’t think this is a huge problem but maybe in the future have different commentators for different leagues and Rob Parry switching with Martin Tyler for some small Premiership games.
101. When a team makes more than 1 substitution at 1 time it should show them all coming on.
102. If a player is dribbling at a fast pace with the ball and an opposing player comes in and slide tackles him from the side sometimes the player should be able to keep going and not fall over (as if he was just clipped) and an advantage played.
103. When a player is slide tackled in the penalty area occasionally his team mates should put up their hands and appeal for a penalty.
104. The lettering on the back of players shirts should be fixed for example in the Premiership all clubs have a specific type of lettering and numbering and in La Liga, teams can use different types of lettering and numbering. This should be fixed in FIFA.
105. The newspaper headlines need to be fixed because they just come up when you win a cup or if you’re knocked out. It should come up with headlines if a player is linked with a move or if they sign a new contract etc.
106. In winter in the Premiership matches should be played with a yellow ball and in the rest of the months a white ball should be used. And like I mentioned earlier – the weather should be bad.
107. When its raining you should see water splashing when players slide tackle. (This is in UEFA EURO 2008)
108. There should be a power bar for when you’re taking goal kicks, heading, shooting and passing. (This is in UEFA EURO 2008)
109. The nets should shake more when you score a goal.
110. When a player who is on a yellow card commits another foul that warrants another yellow, the Ref shouldn’t bring it back later and give him a red, THE PLAY IS MEANT TO STOP STRAIGHT AWAY, REGARDLESS OF IF THERE IS AN ADVANTAGE.
111. There should not be cut scenes for yellow cards.

113. Why aren’t teams in the Champions league and Uefa cup in the 1st season of manager mode?

119. Commentators should be better when shots are taken, for example ‘‘Cahill to Pienaar, Arteta is in space on the edge of the box, Pienaar picks him out, ARTETAAAA!!! WHAT A GOAL!’’
120. The aggression attribute makes no difference. Players like Rooney and Gallas should get angry if a decision goes against them or if they’re having a bad game and the next time they make a tackle or contest a high ball they should go in dirty.

122. In the ‘day’ setting in a match, why is the pitch such a light green, it should be darker.
123. When a team is in bad form in manager mode, they should lack enthusiasm and passing should go astray frequently.

realistic manager mode, i agree with ideas of better sponsers, transfers, Loans (make loaning a bit different, have an option to call the player back off loan period and have it so that they arent always 1 year contracts)
I also think that being able to go to interntaional management would be really interesting.
Witth the create a player option, i think creating a team would be really good as well, i think you should have more control over the creation of things including staiums.
I have been asking this since fifa 06, could you please take out the rubbish leagues?
i would of thought that the russian league would of been added ages ago.
it would be really interesting if you could put in the conference as wellblue square all them, and even the welsh leagues, you've got irish so why not welsh?

- better crossing
- referee mistakes and reactions on those situations by the commentators.

And also, I believe a game like this shouldn't just stick to copying football as it is. Maybe it is time to get ahead of the sport itself and try to add some new features that could make the game and the sport evolve.
When taking free kicks in the arena you should be able to have a wall, like it would be in a real match and keeper should be in his position, because there is no way to practice freekicks other than getting them in game.
Be able to pick what keeper you want in the arena.
Better graphics on the croud.
A new stat - Throwing, so players can throw the ball thurther
-And add the sponsors you choose on manager mode to the kits you are wearing.
-Bring back the traits from fifa 08 but with newer ones that effect the game like a trait where it makes people slightly scared of tackling them and stuff
-Add more leagues in even if they are made up, the lowest league you can go is in the english league 2.
-when going to shoot make different ways like across the floor when you add full power instead of skying the ball all the time
-on the freekicks make them easier genarally to take

-make loaning players possible when transfer window is shut in manager mode
-make the state of the pitch change after tackles etc..

-add boots as they come out on updates like predators f50's adipures and make different colours available on boots.
and put top 20 biggest club stadiums in the country the game is being released in.

National Teams: Angola, Egypt, Lithuania, Latvia, Chile, Serbia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Ivory Coast, Iran, Israel, Estonia, Japan, Senegal, Wales, Macedonia, Columbia.
Manager Mode: Send scouts to other matches. Hire physios and coaches. Build and upgrade your own stadium. Design kits. Do the training yourself (like dribbling between the cones and stuff)
Game depends more on weather: If it is raining players hair is wet. If it is wet and slippery players sometimes miss the ball. Snow stays on the ground. In winter some players wear hats.
Audience: Fan songs. 3D people. Fans leaving the game if the score is hopeless.
More specific faces. More animations and goal celebrations. Better intro videos (also on halftime). More exact commentating and different commentators. Different goal nets. Create your own uniqe team. In Be a Pro you can buy accesories for your player(also desing your own boots)
Russian, Ukraine, Japan and Hungary leagues. Uefa Champions League and Uefa Cup. Smarter AL.
More Media work. Monthly TOP 10 goals video with goals that your team and the other teams have scored.

2) Create your own team and have a youth system in Manager Mode.
3) Better refereeing as a lot of tackles go un punished.
4) See the subs warming up and see the manager and their staff on the bench.
5) When players are injured all you see them is sitting on the sideline, they should be seen being treated.
6) Changable weather for example the sky looks pretty dark and then sudenly it rains.
7) More stadiums and more known teams, for example Wales.
- Better teams in rest of world, Zenit st petursburg for instance,
- Create a team mode
- Real players for Netherlands, for god sake!!
- Real kits for international, not just 1 plain colour
- More Internationals, well heard of teams, like Chile, Nigeria and Japan!
- Online, be able to pair up with another system and player 2 players matches, so people can play with their friends on 2 different ps3's.
More players have their names reported in the commentary.
No 'black scene' during the ball is out of a throw in...camera should 'zoom' to some players,show some statistics(foul,possession),highlights.
Able to see the manager in manager mode.
See the players going into the pitch when second half start.
Fans crowd to be more realistic...real club anthems(at least for big clubs)...more different clothes of fans...zoom to the fans face just like we are watching football on TV.
'Zoom to the score board' during some throw in or free-kick.
Able to see two to three players substituted at the same time..or even see them together while two teams are doing substitution together.
Able 'Warm up'...see player warming up outside the pitch...since the buttom is pressed..the player start warming up.And come out on the pitch in 5 minutes,,during that we can see them during gameplay or in the cut-scene.
But we can still make immediately changes,but the 'overall' will decrease a bit...
