I'm on a PS2 but i know i won't get anything special so i'm going to make suggestions that could benefit all the platforms (soz if they're already there).
GENERAL
1. Bigger Squads (max. only 30 players on PS2 and probably the same on other platforms when some teams can have up to 40 players in real life.
2. free kicks need to be made a bit better; sort of like they were on champions league 2005 mixed with how they were on World Cup 2006. plus, indirect free-kicks in the box
3. Defenders coming forward for corners etc. fifa 09 was ok at this with like sometimes the right-back would be up there, but in real life is the centre-backs that go up, some teams is all of back four, there should be an option in the tactics screen that's like how many players are in the box for corners/free kicks and where they stand/run etc. and where the rest of the team are, like centre-midfielder covering on the half-way line.
4. more different styles of free-kick, like different players have different run-ups and different teams do different stuff like clever lay-offs or standing in the defensive wall to block the keepers view etc.
5. CPU teams make realistic mistakes (goalkeepers rush out recklessly, defenders fail to cover etc.) and players charge down the goalkeeper when he kicks the ball.
6. Refereeing errors (like giving a corner when it should be a goal-kick, just for realism)
7. More noticeable difference in players strength/speed/height etc (peter crouch sometimes gets beaten in the air by total midgets, which should not be happeninig)
8. easier dribbling
9. Seeing as EA always make Champions League/World Cup/European Championships games, why not put these competitions in FIFA?
EDIT/CREATE PLAYERS/TEAMS
10. The reason why Pro Evo continues to be a threat to FIFAs sales and the reason why many will buy it is the way the whole game can be customised to suit you, whereas in FIFA, you can only edit so many players (is it like 40 or what?) and you can only edit certain things about them and created players on FIFA look even worse than the normal ones, which are quite bad enough on their own. the player should be able to make their player in the same way FIFA make their generic players and should be able to edit the looks of "real" players on the game, so you could make kevin kilbane look like van nistelrooy with benjani's hair or whatever (also, there need to be more hairstyles and they need to be more realistic). The boots and accesories are all rubbish too, there should be real boots that you can change the colour schemes of and different styles of ankle tape instead of the one that's there already which look like the players are wearing doughnuts round their ankles, like real players just have a strip of tape or a couple of strips or they have tape wrapped all around their ankle and about a third of the way up their shin. plus shirts should be able to be untucked, sleeves could be long/short/rolled up or dependamt on the weather.
11. The created teams on FIFA are so bad with their ugly crests and diabolical kits, it's unbelievable.
The ideal solution is probably not "cost effective" because of all the licensing involved, but it would be cool: it'd go like select a manufacturer like nike or addidas or lotto or diadora or wateva, then choose a style, like stripes, hoops, shirts/sleeves, quarters, halves, other etc, which would look like the real stripes/hoops etc. for that manufacturer, then choose the colours, do this for the shirts, shorts and socks for two or three outfielder kits and two goalkeeper kits.
MANAGER MODE
12. manager mode should not be limited to 15 seasons or watever it is. and international competitions should happen and you could be invited to manage a national team.
13. if a team has qualified for the champions league/europa league, they should be there from the start of your career.
14. You should have a reserve and a youth team to choose from instead of just the occasional youth player appearing. and you should be able to send players into these teams as well as take them out. and partnerships with teams on other continents so that you can look for good players in their youth teams.
15. Loans can be shorter than the full season and can be made outside the transfer window, there is a separate loan window, why don't EA recognise this? also, player swaps.
16. The statistics section is all mucked up, it should display top scorers from each of the leagues, cups and other competitions, and an overall top scorers list that shows the totals for that season from each country and one for the whole world and an all-time top-scorers list for each league, cup, country and the whole world.
17. you should be able to play - or at least watch - youth/reserve team games

18. there should be no limit to how many seasons you get.
19. any customisation made should show up in be-a-pro.
20. around the age of 29, there should be an option for taking coaching awards so that the player can become a player-manager in the later stages of their career or a manager when they retire, the thing could like warp into manager mode.
OTHER
21. more leagues such as J-league, K-league, Chinese league(s), Indian league(s) the Russian league(s), more South American leagues, Canadian league(s), English non-league, Scottish lower leagues, the Welsh premier, the Northern Irish league
22. More national teams, Pro Evo is wiping the floor with FIFA in terms of selection and realism of national teams.
23. Better crowds
24. more licensed goalkeeper kits.

put the cypriot league. now cypriot teams are stronger than the past and can win big teams such as olympiakos pireus for example

PRACTICE MODE.. E.G FREE KICK PRACTICE MODE = HAVE A WALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so annoying on fifa 09 in arena taking free kicks with no wall !

when playing in the rain the pitch starts to deform and also a keeper and referee mode in aswell

1. more leagues and more clubs.
2. a better youth academy for manager mode.
3. more stadiums.
4. cup celebrations when you win a cup.
5. better graphics on players.
6. create own stadium kits players and teams.
7. put the welsh leagues in.
8. conference league.
9. russian league.
10. make manager mode more realistic.

i think you shoul dbe able to create your own footy team like what you could b4. allow more choices of football tops and be able to choose a sponser for the created team to go onto your teams kit. and to be able to create your own stadium.

1. I think a mini games section should be on the game, and on there should be classic games like "heads and volleys", "1 on 1", "2 on 2", and "keepy up's"!
2. I think the weather changing reflecting to the time of year is an amazing idea.
3. When you go in to tackle the player should get muddy.
4. An Anger Meter would be great, if the player got showed a yellow he didnt deserve, he then gets mad and your not responsible for the players actions.
5. You should be able to go to youth matches with real profile faces instead of a blank body when you press in R3(PS3).
6. Manager Mode should be more realistic because i bought Cristiano Ronaldo in my 2nd season and got P.Cech on a free agent and i was Birmingham City.
7. The commentators are to negative and are not over the top when you score a good goal or have a good shot, and have at least 6 differant commentators.
8. Watch the subs warming up on the side line and coming on congratulating the person coming off.
9. Have More stadiums from the premiership and lower leagues.
10. Finally you should be able to see managers and coaches etc. and if there team is losing they should get sent to the stands. AND REAL MANAGERS!!!!!!!!

1. A Training mode like on FIFA 06 would be brilliant.
2. Longer Be A Pro length and offers made to you even before the end of the season.
3. Creation of own stadiums would probably be hard to do but is a good idea.
4. Improvements in certain players i.e. Evra for Man.U isn't THAT quick. He is not quicker than Walcott, Lennon.etc but is portrayed like this in the game.
5. Maybe like the current ULTIMATE TEAM DLC, there should be a create your own club? But you should create your own badge.etc

firstly there should be a plastic practice wall in the 1 on 1 loading bit, and when it comes up it should have a line on the floor that is where the wall would be in a match, but then you should be able to move and add or take away players.

next, there should be a skills tutorial, and a skill school kind of 1 on 1 competition, but make it small and like just a loading thing as well. And you should be able to have more than 1 player in the 1 on 1 bit, even if the other player is the keeper.

Better and more kick-up skills, make so you can string them together, catch in knees etc.. also be able to lie down and do kick-ups.

signature celebrations so berbatov ( for example ) can't do back-flips.

Team creation.

Finally, Keeper chose in 1 on 1

1. ultimate team should defo continue - but instead of having your made up team play real world tems they should be made up too

2. big name players shouldnt be too good like ronaldo doesnt beat every defence he comes up against so why does he in th game

3. you should include the Allianz Arena and show colour changes before mach

4. better commantary like foreign commantary for foreign games would be more realistic and i dnt think players would mind would add to experience

5. more choice for player creation

5. Transfer rumours in newspapers.

8. Create tactics and setplays at corners and freekicks.

Firstly, great job on Fifa 09, you converted me from PES.
I have only played one 'Be a Pro' career and I'm now in the 3rd season of 'Manager' mode and I'm noticing things that I thought would be there.
There seems to be an omission of 'end of season/cup final' celebrations. I got promoted two successive seasons and didn't see my team lift the respective league trophy in either!! Would be nice to see your team 'go up in style' eh?
The game shows the build up, such as players in tunnel, walking out onto pitch, ref's signalling to start and various in-game footage such as placing ball for a corner and yellow/red cards, but there is no celebrations cut short for a disallowed goal, linesman's flag going up, manager jumping from dug-out barking orders.
Why is there never the manager and the subs sitting on the bench, it's always empty.
Gameplay is superb, it's just the in-between video that needs tweaking to make the realism become complete. The additions that have been stated are all things you see when watching a 'real' game on the TV so it makes sense to put them in the game.

Free kick wall in the practice arena.
Stop auto-flicking the nearest player to ball. Noticed sometimes it does this and completely disorientates. You think you’re closing in on a player when you change to another further away. Not good.

4:I ALLWAYS SAY THIS ADD SOCK IN THE EDIT MODE LIKE REAL PLAYERS WEAR ANOTHER SOCK EG WHITE AND IT LOOOKS BETTER THAN TAPE.

1. On be a pro it should be possible to warm up your own player pre-match.
2. To save replays such thaat when you sore a fantastic goal you can see it over again an other day.
3. Traing mode.
4. A free kick wall in arena.

Ronaldo isnt so good he can out run any defence, its annoying and then you get those Man U abusers.

have channels score displays e.g. if playing in the premiership have the sky sports score display or if in the spl have the setanta sports 1 also commentators. the commentary in english is gd for premiershyip becoause its the sky commentators but if in the scottish league there should be ian crocker and craig burley talking and same applies for other leagues. i dont think people mind foreign commentary if playing in the corresponding country it would make it feel more realistic i dont think you would get andy gray co-commentatin on a mexican match

i think for online be a pro, when both teams have 10 players but 1 player hasn't selected ready yet, the start-up should start automatically and we shouldn't have to wait for them, as goes for position lock, if everyone has selected a position but one or two haven't the game should start anyway

ability to watch others play... observer mode

1. Players go to the ball rather than waiting for it, really anoying in fifa 09
2. Make keepers slightly worse or shooting better, to hard to score goals outside the box
3. Make to nets more realistic, like to nets on pro evo (keep the normal box net shape tho)
4. Make free kicks better!
6. Be able to play night matches at european stadiums e.g. Nou Camp & San Siro
7. Have the Bernabeau

have the teams who are already in the champions league and uefa cup playin in the relative competitions from the start of the manager mode rather than having to play a whole season.

My idea's for the game may not be easy to create and may have been said before but my ideas are:
1.) 4th referee holding subsitution board with changes on
2.) Referee Mode - where you can referee matches
3.) Coaches visible on the sideline for all modes - for example in a match between Liverpool and Manchester United; on the sideline in the tactical area you can see Rafael Benitez and Sir Alex Fergusson
4.) Special Events for Manager Mode or Be A Pro mode - By Special Events i mean like when a game is near an event such as Hillsborough Memorial for Liverpool the teams are seen having a minute silence before the play of the match
And
5.) The home team's club song playing at Stadiums

they should have clash of heads and then the player goes off you then play with ten men 4 abit then the player comes back on with a bandage round his head

i want in fifa 2010 to create an own player with various details and my own club and create the players for my club and start in a normal season like seria a and transfer real players and an own talent school and i want to train them by myself
and I WANT THE RUSSIAN PREMIER LEAGUE

FIFA 09 for the PS2 was basically Fifa 08

I know the next gen console Fifas are your main priority but please look to the PS2 as well

Some things I would like in the next FIFA for PS2

1. A referee who is actually on the pitch when you are playing
2. Better commentating e.g. More names etc
3. Untucked shirts: All the players look really werid with tucked in shirts, you used untucked shirts in UEFA Champions league 2006/07 why not again
4. Just a little more effort put into the overall game

1. Pre match warm-up on the pitch
2. Half time talk with manager in change/locker room. Manger to give guidance for 2nd half
3. Create own player
4. Create own stadium
5. Better graphics
6. Incorporate the wii fit board into the game too make it even more interactive

Have a retiring option for mangers and then let them be board members
Bring UEFA into fifa and make sure you add it in manager mode so your custom club can play in UEFA

i agree with BIG DAN's comments in the last post, iv'e had that problem with the keepers 'not saving', but 'saving' the ball!

one i think that is a definate must, they have this option in Madden '09 (another ea sports game so no excuses if its made by the same people!)...they have an option where rival teams play better and are more 'up for it' when they come up against each other. So for example when if your playing with Manchester United and come up against teams like Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, even Leeds...the computer will raise its game level and there would be extra heat during the game (increased crowd volume, intense tackles etc)

would be good if these ideas get through!?!?!?

then, you have to add the argentina league, and the ability to play it on manager mode
add an argentinian stadium
the ability to be the national coach on manager mode

SEVERAL TIMES I HAVE HAD AN EFFORT ON GOAL SAVED WHICH I THOUGHT WAS AN AMAZING SAVE....CHECKED THE REPLAY AND THE KEEPERS GLOVES DIDN'T EVEN CONNECT WITH THE BALL! THE BALL WAS ABOUT A METER AWAY FROM HIS HANDS SO SHOULD HAVE GONE PASSED HIM, BUT NO IT REFLECTS OFF THIN AIR AND BOUNCES AWAY...RUBBISH!

We need more African national Teams and the African Championship on the fifa 10 and u guy should add the presentation of trophy after every final like the way PES do then the game will be very very extreme

in manager mode you should be able to be just the manager. as in you can watch your team play but you dont play... you know what i mean?

I think that FIFA 2010 would has in the Classic Team XI more players of early time like: Hristo Stoichkov, Romário, Roberto Baggio, Zidane(of 1998), Ronaldo(of 1997), these guys. And would be better if you made those teams who had won FIFA World Cup(Argentina 86, Germany 90, Brazil 94, France 98, Brazil 2002) and some of great team that didn’t won like: Netherland 74, England 90, Italy and Bulgaria 94(with Baggio and Stoichkov), Brazil 98 and of 2002 it would be great if you make the main teams like Brazil, Germany, Italy, France, Argentina, England, just to the people remember players in national team like: Zidane, Totti, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Kahn, Crespo, Owen,…all these players who all the public feel saudade. Please make it!!!!!!! Oh and create Argentina League!!

i think there should be controls for a player running off the ball. this is because when you are sometimes running into space the players on your team barely ever make i good run forward and it gets frustrating!
For example (using PS conrols) while you are running with the ball if you hold in L2 and L1 or R1 and use the R3 analog stick to contol the second player. this means you will still have full control of the player with the ball, and you will then be able to postion the second player where you would like him, and are then able to play the perfect ball.

i said some ideas last year and nothing was put in fifa 09 so i want Create-a-Stadium and during matches you can have latest scores come in like on tv. Also create-a-team because you could use the stadums which we created could be there ground!! also we need blue square premier in the game cause i know more than a 1,000 people who support teams from there including Oxford United and Stevenage, so everyone would buy the game and play the team. thanks for talking bye :)
