Your Ideas for FIFA 09

Ability to view the current team players list along with their ages which otherwise is possible only when the transfer central menu is activated in Manager Mode.

One really great thing would be having classic teams. How cool would it be to pit the 1963 Inter Mian sqad against the O. Marseilles team from 1992? Or the 1988 Napoli team against Pelé's Santos. And I know putting a rating on Pelé or Maradona is far to risky a thing to do (the eternal debate, who is better? Was Pelé really perfect? How good was Maradona withought the rest of his team?) and they can't be in the all star team, but at least put them in their historic contexts. Plus, I'm a big fan of manager mode. It's great to be able to step into the shoes of top european managers and not only be able to negotiate sponsors, players, and the wretched board, but also have a great game simulator to go with it. If EA would bring that back to the Wii, it would be great.
The Wii controls, however, are really awkward. The controller layout ought to be formatted like the Super Smash Brothers Brawl controllers; so that you can use whatever format fits best to you. Especially with the delay, havig a shooting system run by a flick of your foreararm is really uncomfortable.

Fifa 09 Should definetly have a refree and linesmans and should also have way more stadiums not just european ones also you need to have more realistic faces and please please make the goalies dive way more dont just make them "stretch out". I would also like to see some improvement in the corner and free kicks for example make the ball go a bit more faster in free kicks. Also make the shoes have more detail,and make the jerseys with more details including ads and sponsers. Also have the ability to play in tournaments and be invited to tournaments or qualify for tournaments like the CONCAFA Champions Cup or The UEFA Champions Cup and the Fifa World Cup of Clubs and other tournaments like the Copa SudAmericana and the Interliga and the Copa Libertadores and the ECC and the SUPERLIGA and the UEFA Cup. I Would also like to see players for the internationl team go away for the World Cup and other cups like The Gold Cup and Copa America and The Euro Cup please make those cups exist and when players go away for their internationl duties make alot go away not just 1 or 2 for each postition make about 10 or more go away for each position itsept obviously goalkeeper.Also make the ability to be able to coach internationl teams during Freindlies or Internationl cups like the ones I mentioned. Last but not least you need to go through the rules clearly for instance you need to make the rule where when a player or the same team passes to their goalkeeper the goalkeeper cannot pick it up unless the player whom passed it to the goalkeeper passes it with something besides their leg also make the offsides called correctly because I've seen some wrong offsides called in my game.

as everyone knows Latin America has the best players in the world, which lacks ah fifa this long is to integrate more Latin American leagues such as the Argentina league, The Peruvian, Ecuadorian League, and among others of the south American, can also add or improve the impact by winning the cups and leagues, stadiums and integrate more clear besides adding to venezuela in the way Exhibitions at least. is my opinion I hope will help them.

more hair options fin create a player for blacks...there are several hairstyles that you can put in the game...and besides that, there are certain designs and paterns that blacks can put in their hair.

When you sell someone they never play on the team. they rot in the reserves. fix that.

2.have player techniques on free kicks and penaltys( have ronaldo stutter step)
3. HAve manager reactions and plz be able to be manager of a country.
4. Be able to have prestige again before being able to go to a team
5. MAke it go day by day
6. And for gods asake please put Uefa tournaments. i know you have a seperate game for that, but this is essential for a good game

I think like all EA sports games FIFA 09 should have a fantasy draft. say your playing as Aston Villa you can pick any player you want in the EPL. personally i like the idea.

It would be great if the manager mode was more realistic. Players should get money in the summer to use for the transfer season. injuries should take more time to heal than 1 game, more stadiums, teams in general need to have correct amounts of money when you start a season with them

Suggestions for Improvements

With every generation Fifa seems to get better and better, becoming more realistic whilst maintain the balance for game play. It’s clear that most fans want a lot more choice from the aesthetics and customisable factors of the game. My suggestions would therefore be regarding some aspects that we love to hate that captures part of the sprit of the game

General Gamplay

Referring AI
Specific AI in referring that varies over the range of strictness and approaches when referring a match. Having referees present on the field is not as important as the decision that are made by them in the game, so a reflection of this would be the use of occasional bad calls i.e. A player that would be offside fractionally may not be picked up 1:50 times of playing by the lines man, penalty’s/free kicks given when it shouldn’t have, throw-ins being awarded to the opposite team at times of stress.

Frailness
Some players are frailer than others when it comes to being injured, when being injured during the game the player may be taken of the pitch for treatment for a simulated amount of time before coming back on or popping up that a sub is needed.

Personalities
At current there isn’t much that separates the individuality of teams such as their mentalities and behaviours on the pitch. If you took away the names and kit you probably wouldn’t notice which team you are or playing. So attempts to make teams reflect the spirit of their real life counter part would aid in versatility to the game play. This would also be the case if it was able to be done on an individual player level but realistically would be impractical but trying to capture their temperament would be an achievement. These reflections may not be pulled off by the gamers but if the AI could simulate it in the opponents and non-controlled team mates then it’ll enhance the dynamics of the game.

Pace
At current there is no noticeable difference in the pace between players, when you are making a counter run for instance and you are ahead of your opponent by a meter then that distance is remained until you stop or change angle.

Season Modes

Manager Mode
A pure manager carrier mode which reflects training and financial strains would be great as well as the previous suggestion of being able to be in the dug outs and in the strategy box, making calls through out the game such as subs formations, last minute attempts.

Player mode
A pure player carrier mode where you take the role of a player in either an arcade style or simulation style, arcade style is where you take the role of an existing named player and play through the season with out the worry of stats etc… simulation style being where you either become a named player or a custom player (maybe starting in the conference and working your way up or a new spotted talent brought into an established team from a top division). In this mode you have to participate in training and matches to gain statistics and experience that can be used which effects you players potential.

Player manger mode
A hybrid of the above modes striped down making it more like the existing manager mode in Fifa 08.

Online

League
A better online league mode, that doesn’t allow the same teams to be entered by both players. With the addition of fixed fixtures, this would be for the more hard core gamer and die hard fans of football, for those willing to wait for there match and take a more passionate approach for building an online community. Maybe some online leagues could be sponsored from Fifa (or others) with a limited number of places, and team availabilities, with rewards or prices for the winners. Automated emails can be sent to players to remind hem of upcoming events or fixtures as well as advising of recent games.

Tournaments
Similar to above suggestions.

You should be able to edit the players more as well as the uniforms.

(1) i think you should have realistic injuries e.g. bone breaking and long term injuries and strechers that carry the injured off the field.
(2) in manager mode you should beable to manage at international level e.g brazil , england , and the rest . and there should be mre international teams on 08 u didnt hav sum teams that are well known.
(3)you should add all clubs stadiums and in manager mode be able to edit them.
(4) you should be able to have staff stats and be able to fire and hire them.
(5)in manager mode at the end of the season you should be able to edit the teams kits and design flags you can sell then see fans using the to support there team.
(6) u should be able to see the ref and lines men and seemanager reactions to goals free kick decisions.
(7) add player arguements and fights.
(8) add so u can adjust the walls at a free kick make it so you are on the keepers view and add a surtane amount of time to sort it out.
(9) hav better trophy presentations just like in real life.
(10) add youth teams for each side so you can bring them up through the ranks.
(11) have off the ball running and better positioning from the players.
(12) be able to call the keeper up for corners in injure time like on the ps2 fifa 08 and pre season friendlies.
(13) in the transfer windows be able to make swap deals and when loaning players out make it so low league clubs make offers for the players because on 08 premier league teams would alway try to loan them but they would never player.
(14) have dramatic whether changes in matches but obivously not all of them.
(15)try and make it so manager mode goes on for ever haha :-) please lol or untill u reach a surtun age where you will retire.
(16) be able to design your self on manager mode.
(17) when ceating a player make there more thing to do like tattoos playing stlyle e.g lade back, aggressive, smart.
(18) have more boots from real life not just made up ones that have EA on them.
(19) real life sponsors e.g vodafone, orange, carlsberg and many more.
(20) on manager mode when you've just finished a game make it as you going into an office then be able to do what you want like next match or transfers or staff.
(21) have meeting with the chairman an talk bout more money or facilities or sales.

ALL THESE POINTS I THINK MAKE THE GAME MORE REALISTIC!!!

Ok first there are many leagues in the world other than Europe. How about making Manager mode better byu making it harder and more involved, like the psp version. Also be a pro career mode.

There is also the south american cup, like the champions league in europe that is very highly prestigious. Mexican, argentian, brazilian, ect teams play in it and its called Copa Santander Libertadores. i mean please put this in since it creats more playability for Teams from the americas. Also why not include the Mexican first division A.
Central and south americans love soccer too, and it is growind in the states. SO PLEASE EXPAMND ON THIS...

I mean Eropeans' get alot of quirks while the mls and the mexican leagues best player is rated 80. Come on, some players deserve higher ratings.

Just improve the gameplay to make taking the ball away alittle more difficult than just runing up to the attacker. Improved passing, and stop making the thorugh ball so difficult to aim.

The PSP Mangaer mode is fun, with the press questions and the board meddeling with your players, so how about expanding on it.

BETTETR Commentators i mean i manage a three goal comback and nothing from it just and its a goal, just please more emotion... Latin Commentators are the best at this if you knoow what i mean... just record like 20 hours of commentaries and all the player names.

Edit Kit design and stadum also more leuges and most teams have proper stadums

also the goalie should be smart n more goalie controls like they should be able to play wit ball drop ball or pick it up diffrent slides and diffrent goalie kits like home and away

when you are in create your own player mode you play for a club and at the end of a season other clubs (thats if theyw ant0 can buy you and it can carry on from there. For example you may start of with man u and barca miht pay manu £20million to manu so that they can buy you and play for there team and it can carry on happening unit you retire

i think that the goalkeepers should be more realistic in their dives and reactions also i think u guys should add some international tournaments ex.( golden cup,american cup, euro cup, and ofcourse the world cup also i think u guy should take a little bit more time on desining the players faces and improve the create-a-player like more hairstyles,beard,boots,ankle tape,sleeves (short,medium between rist n elbow for goalkeepers,long and if we can customize their muscle size like in madden thats it besides this little thing you guys are the best soccer game ever

in manager mode you should have the otion to manage a national team and decide which layers you want to call u for games and set friendlies and compete in international competetions, also in manager mode in the ifrst season you do the teams should be like they are in real life (for instance they're in the champions league or in the qualifiers etc').

i agree with stinky... you should add more leagues like african ones and the israeli league etc'...you could come out with a few diffrent versions for diffrent areas...
also the comentators make mistakes like a forward will kick the ball out and then the comentator will say something about the goal keeer making a great save....

Make u be able to create players on psp, also have a camera view where its the players point of view. This will give the audience an idea of what its like to be a player

Can you add the Russian soccer league in the game. I know their not much but they do have a handful of good players out there. Plus they have never been in any other fifa, and every other league is in there. Thanks a lot

it would be nice if Fifa had a SUPERSTAR MODE like Madden has. You would create your own player, have him try out for clubs, practice and work for playig time, have an agent negotiating contracts, play on the pitch either as yourself or controling the entire team (just as before).

In manager mode, there should be a World Cup Qualifying Mode. Lets say you chose to be manager, and you make your contry of birth Germany, then every 4 years, when the world cup comes along, The German Nation Team would have the option of selecting you as their head coach. Then you could manage the team and game play of the German Team during the world cup.

Also, add more Countries, atleast European countries. Im from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it would b nice to atleast see the International Team if not the Bosnian League.

fifa 08 was a good game to play and very addictive. But could be inproved bymacking the manger mode more realistic. If you got to see the managers jumping in joy when there team scores would be ideal. Injuries more realistic like seeing brucies and cuts seeing the medics running on with bags with eqiupment would be good iswell

I think that Fernando Torres and Kaka should be on the cover this time. It's getting a bit repetitive now with Rooney and Ronaldinho. Also, at the end of the season you should have the chance to play indoor 5-a-side tournaments.

General fault with all football games - the grass is not in proprtion. Looks like the players are either subbuteo sized or else fully grown men playing on a smooth coating of moss. Fix it or I won't buy!

The jersey's definately need to be more realistic. I don't know if you noticed, but on the back of the players' jerseys , the writing's HUGE, it's as if they typed the letters and numbers with Times New Roman or Tahoma. I also think the recent FIFA's leave a lot of international teams out which is terrible; you buy the game, open it up, put it into your system and you see that your countries soccer team isn't in the game. That really pisses me off. Also, can you please stop creating random names for teams such as Serbia, Romania and so on, it really is annoying.
Another thing, countries, such as the ones i named above, have home stadiums too, Italy, France and so on arent the only countries with home fields.

i think you should put more teams in this game!!!
you could put Baltic leagues and National teams like Latvia , Lithuania, and Estonia.
and there could be a world cup or euro championships!!! they could ask if your player could go to the national team and you could say yes or no!!
there could be a Manager Mode training in live. you know, like when you can see how they train and put up high or low pressure on training. and there could be the top 10 at the end of the regular season when there could be shown the 10 best plays in the season.
and there could be a Champions league, FIFA world cup (or euro) qualifications to make it more interesting!!!

i want in the next fifa 09 in the mode manager can of 2 players and the 2 have their teams of mode that when we simulated ask the other if he want to simulated or 1 player play 1st and then the other so we have more competence in home

Can you please add Adrian Mutu in this game? I'm starting to get the impression that EA Sports doesn't like Romania. Adrian Mutu was in FIFA 2005 and now hes A. Murgu. I think that's pretty disrespectful towards Romanian soccer fans and Fiorentina fans.

During manager mode as well as just simulating a match put visual sim in like in fifa manager.
And instead of having 3d player faces have photos like fifa 07

i think we should see a more fair ratio of free kicks for players over the comp teams.
i mean i am about 7 or 8 thousand free kicks out from the comp..and i dont slide tackle.

its a wonder people have a hard time kicking goals from free kicks when you hardly ever get a freekick like almost 1 per 4 games.. & and when your conservative tackling like body 2 body they always just rush you to the out line...come on man just kick it or lose it dont run it out and then you get the through in :(

yous should make it more realistic like arguing with the ref and other players and fighting not like a street fighter but like a push and if it gets to major youo should be able to like kick or swing but not to out of hand i was really dissapointed because it doesnt have any of that in any other fifa game

and the moves should be AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like im talking moves galore you should make the stepovers great and look more realistic and you should make them do it on the run and their should be away that you could put it through the opposing players legs and more free kick and penalty shot techniques make a better more realistic shot engine like make the shooting for each player different like their own style and make the touches better

And you should put more CREATIon modes and you should make your created players do moves (i was very dissapoiinted that you couldint do it in fifa 08) and have your created players have their own type of style and make manager mode more realistic like we should be able to see the manager on the bench reacting to whats happening on the pithc and you should see the actual signing of a player like have the press conference we should see it

You should put indoor soccer tournaments that would be great
And you should have like real practices actually ran by a coach like drills and stuff

also you shoud have a CREATE A CELEBRATION like make the celebrations more realistic

And like fifa 08 you should be able to buy a boot but have every boot you could think of not like one for each one have like more vapors not just the one like in fifa 08 and you should put Vapor 4s in the game and you should be able to EDIT The BOOT like colours and studs and shapes

you should be able to CREATE YOUR OWN BOOT and put all the materials and shapes you need like the nike swoosh the adidas symbol the umbro symbol the puma symbol etc and you should have every colour and shape like a vapor shape an adidas f50 shape a predator shape a puma shape etc.

I would like to see be a pro season modes where you can get bought by ohter clubs and play many seasons and get better and better with a self created player or some play you choose from any club. And make it a little easier doing a scissor kicks and kick like that i seen i like 5 times and playes alot!
So hope you will improve the game.
