I want to sign a Romanian goalkeeper called "Labont" Where is he?
Also, the ability, when searching for a player, eg. in player transfers, to search for a players Nationality.

I think some of the ideas people on here have had are good, but i know there is no way you can fit them all in before the release of FIFA 09. So i would say the most important things are the manager mode needs to be more in-depth i.e - Realistic transfers, realistic budgets, proper stadium manager etc. Also the game play needs to have speed options again, because sometimes 08' felt a little slow. As much extra detail as possible to player likenesses again please. Im sure as usual 09' will be great. Thanks

put usl teams on like the minnesota thunder and then you can do the U.S. Open cup and have usl division 1 teams beat mls teams like the thunder did in 2005 when they beat real salt lake and colorado rapids and kansas city or in 2004 when they beat la galaxy and lost to earthquakes on pk's

no 15min quitting concederation in ranked games, i believe when you get into a match you go in because you are ready to take people on. i am a lvl 21 with 400 matches and a 2% dnf avg opponent 10, now its not fair if there is some guy lvl 26 with a 20%dnf ontop of me in the rankings. i hate quiters.

please make the crowds more realisic.have them stand up when a player approaches ther goal and when they score shpw them jumping and throwing their hands up in the air.
have the player run to the ball whe nyou pass to them because they seem to wait which causes it to be intercepted.
in a manager mode i would like to be offered jobs by international team too.add in competitions like the world cup,euro,concacaf.

Player limits in Be a pro online or just add a friend exclusive seting, because am tired of people coming in and holding up the room, or coming into my team when my friend is trying to get in, or picking any player when he is lvl 1 and am lvl 21 and then quits then we conceed 3 goals, or scores own goals to piss people off etc.

Holland(Netharland) for crying out loud, they are kicking a** in the Euros and i we can't even use them in the game. pls dont turn fifa into konami by putting Ruben instead of Robben or Van Hool instead of Van Persie. i have been playing bboth games since 1998 and now you guys get the upper hand and you go and put a fake holland

i think fifa 09 should have better commentary realistic fan reactions when u are in manager mode u should be offer a contract from as many clubs who want you even the international clubs should offer a contract depending how good u are and ofcourse u get to decide which contract u want to keep or if u want d same team u already have all i want is a game that is realistic as possible with more of my decision being played thanks cant wait for fifa 09

You really should add arabic league because most of people who play fifa games are arab

1. More South American Club Teams! Especially Argentina.
2. South American Leagues to allow for Copa Libertadores tournaments.
3. Open access to changing stats and creating players in offline modes so that players can be adjusted or fixed if their stats are not reflective of their real life counterparts.
4. Open access to player creation, no points buying crap.
5. Team creation like there was in previous versions of FIFA Soccer.
6. MORE STADIUMS! maybe even stadium creation tool.
7. Alternate commentators that speak different languages as in previous versions of the game.
8. Goalie controllability by players.
9. More National selections! The selection is dismally small. Just put all of the nations in the game or at least the top 60 so that you can create different tournaments.
10. Have DOWNLOADABLE teams, stadiums and player rosters that way you don't have to try and pack so much onto the actual game disc itself.
11. Make the Game save options so that you can name the damn files! not just profile 1, profile 2....etc...
12. Custom celebrations like in Euro 2008.
13. Make sure that player names on the back of the Jersey's aren't over top of the sponsors!
14. Ability to set the Referee style and leniency on calls.
15. Make free kicks useful, especially direct free kicks, player controlled kicks never go in.

also to be able to edit and change colour of a players boots before a manger mode match

1. neutral crowd noises in cup finals
2. much much more international teams
3. Trophy presentation (see captain lift up trophy)
4. more selection of boots but 'big brand' boots like vapour iv and predators rather than fake boots
5. choices of commentors like John Motson
6. real life referees like howard webb, mike riley etc.
7. choice of venues for champions league finals
8. in manager mode, to be allowed to resign even during the season

i think we should be able to customize the uniform worn. For example, Manchester United, if you want to play with the red jersey, white shorts, and white socks you could. Or if you wanted to play with the red jersey, black shorts, and black socks, you could. Make it so we can pick the uniform that we like for the team

I think that the game speed option should come back. I personally like to play slower, because it looks more realistic.

Also the weather option should come back.

More camera angles. More realistic camera angles, like on TV.

Lighting in the stadiums during night and dusk games could be better.

Good players, especially strikers and wingers, should make better and more creative runs and movements. A lot of the time I have the ball and am waiting for a striker to make a diagonal run in behind the defenders so I can play a thru ball but they never do.

Another couple of Online suggestions,

Allowing people to spectators other ppl's games, allowing the host and client to accept whether or not spectators are muted. (I bet there are a lot of games being played out there that some ppl would just love to watch :) )

Also a complete match highlights system, so that you can go in and watch highlights of games and vote on your fav (essentially an upgrade to the reply upload option that is current in 08).

General

One touch passes and better team dynamics for one touch and counters for teams with higher chemistry (at current it doesn't feel like it means anything.

Also passing system where the recipient just stands there can be very annoying.

I hated the score display in Fifa 08. Why did it have logos instead of team names? Made it realy unrealistic! Also the only thing I dont realy like about Fifa is the nets. I dont think they're realistic enough. They're too stiff. Like in PES 2006, they wiggly more, and it makes scoring feel more rewarding.

It would be wicked if you could add your own player game face like in Tiger Woods 08.

Also, be able to create a whole team, including the kit design, emblem, individual players etc...

More Premier League stadiums.

Conference teams would be cool.

I think the overall game play is a bit unrealistic, because the defence always stay so deep, which makes it almost impossible to counter attack or get in behind the defence, which is how a lot of goals are scored in real football. The overall positioning and movement of the players, especially defenders should be improved.

Also make it seem like a television programme, rather than a game. E.g. have a television intro before the match starts and BBC, ITV, Sky Sports and Setanta logos.

Also I think a brilliant idea would be to release squad files after the winter transfer market, to make it easier to keep your game up to date.

i am a big fan of the fifa games but with the hype about what the PS3 and The XBOX can do i was dissapointed in the results to be honest there is a few things i would love to see

1) diveing is such a controversial part of the game some call it a skill others call it cheating but it can decide games weather people like it or not. i think that would be a good feature in the game
2) in the game one of your players goes down holding his leg and has dislocated finger it would
be good if the injurys were more relistic like clashes of heads broken bones everthing you see on a pitch
3)a stadium editor would be good how you can build your own stadium anywere in the world from scratch. or you could build indoor stadium to.
4)players should be more relistic in the movements as in free kick takeing and celabrations
5)edit managers be able to move them to different clubs

Retro Kits on Kick off Mode! And we can buy Retro kits in the Fan Shop. AC Milan 07 kits 06 and 05 for example.

i wud also like the free kick system changed. i think it was fifa 2005 wen u could choose the place in the goal but had to add the correct spin and power on the ball. tht was much bta as the free kiks luk gud and werent as slow as they r in fifa 08

give rangers a 4 star rating aswell as celtic. show what actually happend to the player when he got injured. for e.g burst nose and a replay aswell.
make graphics much better like pro evolution 2008, and make the players look relistic as possinle and give them the shine like pro evolution 2008.
shocking that graphics were better for pro evolution 2008 than fifa 08.
make holland with there original strips and players, has fifa actually got something against holland.

if you bring a player down at last man , you should have red card and not only yellow , it's always yellow and thats wrong, so harder refs..

before big games and derby games (like arsenal v chelsea and manchester united vs manchester city) it should have a team of football hosts like andy gray and jamie rednapp talking about the game, players who been in good form etc

i liked fifa 2006 i think it was when u could start off as little league clubs and get offers building up to higher cubs. however i didnt like the fact that u hd 2 unlock the hogher clubs which was annoyin. also i think u shud get the chance to b called up as national sides as manager. i also like the idea of doing be a pro seasons wud b quality. thnks.

You should have a referee and linesman actually in the games, reduce the tiedness in manager mode as in real life players like Gerrard can play 40 games a season full tilt so you should make it the same. Also enable quick free kicks so that you can take it before the oppenent is set behind the ball. Also have off the ball movement control for through balls as normally when you do try a through play the player just hits it at the oppenent. Have it so the pitch changes from the weather conditions and wears and tears through the season, maybe have a dive button so that if you are in the area and a defender is tight on you, you can go down. Finally you should make the ball control of the players first touch better as even top players on the game hit it miles away from themselves if the ball comes to them slighlty awakwardly. I hope you make these improvements as it would vastly change the game for the better.

And I forgot to mention whenever you try and play online on fifa 08 it just times out all the time when you pick the teams, it makes just one player choose there team and not the other one which it really really fustrating!! please please fix this! and improve online play eg. it sometimes glitches also i would like mic support when in matches.

3. Create own players, stadiums, teams, boots and after every 3 seasons on manager mode you are allowed to create your own kit instead of it just being the same all the way though
4. When you do a sliding tackle or take a freekick the pitch rips up
5. Before a match do a sky sports news thing that tells you transfer rumours and injurys ect.
6. Change what the manager looks like, clothes, face, shoes ect.
7.GAMEPLAY FASTER! In fifa 08 the gameplay was too slow just need to speed it up a little bit, but not too quick and loose its realism!
8. Loading needs to be quicker and even when your not playing a match eg. selecting the squad, it feels like the console (ps3) it doing alot of work for nothing because its slow and it makes a loud loading noise needs to be ALOT easyer to load and do things with minimum effort.
9. More goal celebrations eg. Anelka does his butterfly thing and Nani does his backflips.
10. More weather conditions for matches eg. Rain, snow, hail, sunny, night, dusk

12. If it rains you can see the rain drops splashing off the ground realisticly and small puddles form and also changing weather conditions in a match eg. The match starts raining then it graduly changes into sunny weather

put steven gerrard on the cover and put the uefa champions league, make the scoring celebrations more realistic and most of all make the scoring more realistic like being able to score from outside the box more often and make the commentary not repeat itself

One should be able to manage national teams and play other national teams in order to win international cups such as the world cup.

make players run towards the ball when you pass to them
also, something that really bugs me is that when you're playing manager mode, none of the other teams managers make any changes or transfers.
also, you should be able to choose what price you sell your players for, rather than the computer just choosing a bog standard price.

Just keep it simple. Upgrade the game to where it was with basic xbox on fifa 07.
1. more camera angles- broadcast gives a real feel
2. more grounds- playing every premier league game bar 2 or 3 in the foreign les artes stadium becomes very unrealistic
3. just upgrade like you've been doing with the player a.i. and ball physics

Please sacrifice the swiss, k-league and polish leagues for the above!

Could u please make Copa Libertadores & world club championship in game + available for manager mode?
And can u put Elland Road as a stadium?
I think people are crying out for these leagues over the world and including them will increase your sales!!

I haven't read all the other comments, but I know that it would be good next season firstly if all the cups were in the game. The Champions League is the most important cup in Europe so that really needs to be featured in Fifa 09 I believe. Also the UEFA cup, the Intertoto cup and the other major cups in Brazilian countries would be interesting to play as well. Also I believe that some of the world's most famous managers (Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, Arsene Wenger to name off the top of my head) deserve a mention in the manager mode, and our role would be to tell the manager what to do (essentially the same as it is now but with the perspective of the real managers being placed into the mode). The way transfers are conducted needs to be altered. I think that it would be good if the manager mode was changed to be like WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2008 has become, with the idea of creating a 24/7 mode where we are the manager 24/7 even when there isn't a match, The idea behind this is that we can be updated of how the players we are negotiating with are considering our offers. Also the added perk of 24/7 mode is that we can keep updated of how players have been performing during the week, with the ability to skip days so that we are not playing to game mode for an entire year! Also with transfers, there needs to be an added ability with the loan system. We need to be able to make loans which are like Carlos Tevez's with Manchester United, one year loans which will be paid off at the end of that year. Also it would be good if we could make 1 month loans or 3 month loans etc, instead of being forced to keep that player for an entire season. Finally, I think it would be good if we could alter shirts and kits so that we are not playing with the same kit when the new season has arrived and we are in a hiatus waiting for the next Fifa game to come out

5. to be able to have training mode

7. and finally to have 90 minute matches
