Your Ideas for FIFA 09

Fifa 09 would be the best fifa game since fifa 98, which in my view for its time, is the best Fifa release of all time. May i also say the first FIFA release on the xbox 360, was horrrible, a game with no skill moves clubs asides selected international and not much else, to be honest was not worthy of the title fifa 07

Ideas for FIFA 09 in a list for so you can jot this all down without a problem all based on the ps3 version of FIFA 08.

HANDBALL!! the ps3 version at least does not have this feature, why?
GOALKEEPER INVOLVED!! when losing last minute or whenever, why cant you activate the command for the GK to come up and try and score as you see in many games on TV, it would make the game far more realistic.... epic

REFEREE and OFFICIALS!! while other football games have this, FIFA 08 does not
BE A PRO ADVANCED
basically i understand only one player can be a pro due to the screen view, but if the match was viewed on a certain cam angle that constantly adjusts, you could at least get two players controlling on the same team.
WEATHER CONTROL, in my ps3 version of FIFA 08, it wont let me change the weather, why?
KERLON SEAL DRIBBLE.. this one is a very personal one for me, being a fan of the player I would love to see Kerlons trademark seal dribble included for spectacular effect of how much effort would have gone in to making each player unique and Kerlon is a huge star in the making.
CURL Control, free kicks, and in play, why cant you curl the ball like in the old fifas, its not unrealistic guys, whats going on?

MORE ADVANCED COMPUTER CONTROL when playing against the computer in a single play match or season, the computer at times decides it wont let you have the ball and the computer controls players to make unrealistic runs away from any players near by without passing to keep the user from getting the ball. I understand in amature it is easy to tackle but passes are what should make the game harder to play, not some kind of cowardly unrealistic mazy run from sometimes an unknown player of small ability. Its a huge dive to the games knack to be as realistic as possible.
CROWD NEED TO IMPROVE. thinking of all the ps3 is capable of, i dont see why the crowd still look like different coloured corn flakes, and the few people that have been animated are just one still image, what is that about, very disappointing for the latest generation of gaming on the ps3, you know its capable of it.
MANAGERS? where the hell is the bench and the managerial staff,
MANAGER MODE, in manager mode you should be able to make yourself as a manager with ability to look however you want like you would in creating a player, then when the addition of managers being on the side line with the staff and subs, you can recognise yourself.
PITCH DAMAGE, every now and then i think it would add to the wonder of the game if the pitch would be in bad condition which happens all the time when watching it on TV.

IN FIFA 09 managers should be offered international jobs after being very successful with a team. An advanced level of an international season for qualifying in which you manage and pic players and then attempt to qualify and play a world cup or/and a Euro competition should become available to the player. This would make FIFA 09 a complete game, and clearly wont be as advanced as the special international tournament editions of the game that you release are, so you wont be at a loss in sales.

SCOUTING IN SEASON names are really unrealistic at times, like people from scotland being called cezar gonziliias , marcel jennings of Ramania and people from brazil being called oleg choi... not really a Brazilian name is it? it cant be hard to create a list of fantasy players which is a feature i love by the way, and set them to have realistic names for their profile of where they are from. just ruins the fantasy of a successful season with new scouted players having unrealistic names for where they are from.

PLAYER EDIT, cant you make it so wa can change players hair at least, even if it wont look as good close up, it would be good if you could import a selection of new styles from the digital models of the players faces youve already programmed into the game. If your favourite player has a unique hair style and suddenly cuts it all off, or changes it completely, even grows it long, it would be great to see, i understand it wont be easy but even if it isnt perfect, it really adds to the realistic experience.

COMMENTATORS i remember a FIFA release, i cant name it but the commentators would change to a different well know pair of live footballs well known favourites. Think about it.

FIFA 98 had an ondoor 5 a side arena, Id love to see that again.

THE CLASSICS, great addition of FIFA 08 and 07, was the classics, I loved playing with Cantona, Pele and zico ect, but whats missing here, the classics without the Brazilian pele, and the legendary maradonna?

WORLD XI? why cant you chose your own world XI without disrupting the games players. The selection of the WORLD XI that you have to play with is awful, some of the players ive never heard of and why are you missing out on todays greats in that line up. tut tut. slaps hand of whoever made that decision.

Ive realised in making this list, i should just work for you at EA, you'd improve so much with me just being a critic for your releases. No1 will touch PES ever again, as a loyal FIFA follower i would never buy it but a lot of people i know think its better. In fact i think we should all work for EA.

I believe ive covered most of the issues i think you could address. you need to look at fifa 08s international line-ups too, it looks like someone just made up some of the international sides players and used kits from 1908. it looks like someone didnt finish the game here.

TROPHIES!!! where are they? the players celebrate... with... what? I just wont the Premiership... but .... no that cant be right.. I understand you have a lot of licences and copyright things to concider when including a trophy, but if you dont have the right, allow the player a trophy editing option so nothing is being done wrong or make a trophy that kind of looks like it, i miss seeing my team actually with something when they have won. COUGH FIFA 98 even had this, thats over 10 years ago now. tut tut

FIFA FUN!!!!! Im about to touch on a subject that people will frown up on in football but its what makes games like PES quite popular, it gets a lot of people i know talking about it and this is what they say....
"in PES you can dive!!!!!" it makes the game fun. come on EA sports, FIFA 98 have it, and it was often returned with a yellow card so the element of fare play was very much the message.

CROWD INTERACTION, if you improve the crowds, which i hope you do, mexican wave, jumping, crowd invasions, even if its only a number of made up supporters running on the pitch when you win the EEC title....

fifa 06 was awesome it was the best fifa i think except when the golie jus stood there like an idiot and u couldnt do anthing about it but they should go back to that and make it similar

i think the ledgens squad shoul include players like george best, bobby charlton, the actual pele who played for brazil, maradonna and the now retired oliver kahn and you should be able to buy ledgend players for your squads aswell!

you should be able to control the goalie during the game, and have a first peerson view.

Take a closer look at teams like Forest and Leeds for example both teams get higher averages at games than most Champioship teams and some Premier league teams!! Make their grounds bigger!!

If a team has won promotion they should be allocated a third kit regardless of which league they're in!

World cup, Euro's, Copa America include these competitions

Make sure when a team is in a final of a competition that they're not playing in a division 2 stadium(Playing with Forest this has happened plenty of times!!)

PUT IN MORE SOUTH AMERICAN TEAMS

you should put in teams like Penarol,Oriente Petrolero,Colo Colo,Bolivar,Liga De Quito,Nacional.....and put Pele and Maradona in it

fifa 09 needs to have better capabilites to switch players, the AI is very very weak in 08 especailly after clearing headers on corners...

Can somthing be done about the freezing problem? Somtimes wen fifa08 is loadin on my ps3 it will randomly jam up so i then have to reset it. This problem only happens on fifa08 and my mates who have the game say the same thing happens to them. So it must be the coding on the disk
Also could fifa09 include;
1. All international teams that are fully licenced.

2.A Real life broadcast camera angle and camera angles you can change.

3. A post match highlights show like match of the day.

4. More realistic goal nets that you can even customise. it gets boring playing after a while coz all goal nets are the same and only a few cameras to choose from.

5 Better graphics that really test the ps3s power.

6.Be able to change yor kit at end of the season in manager mode.

7. Be able to make your own stadium.

8. Better editing options that give you more freedom.

9. Take out the bugs from the game. eg sometimes sweden have pink shorts and have Adrian Mutu called by his prper nam, not murgtu!

10. More licenced cup cometitions like the champions league not ECC etc. Also in FA cup games when a game is a draw can it go to a replay like in real life not straight to extra time and penalties.

I think to improve fifa they need to have
1, more types of boots in different colours
2, to have a stadium builders and more stadiums like celtic park and ibrox and different teams stadiums.
3, to have more s*** sizes for sleaves like a medium wore by players like McGeady and Ronaldo
4, better derby day atmosphere's and more feelings about beeing subbed or having lost a goal in the last minute,
5, linesman and referees being seen
6, the strips get dirty on muddy pitches
7, called off games if it rains too much
8, ripped up pitches and muddy days
if yo put this in fifa i tink it will be much beter

i would like the actual rosters and kits for the neatherdalnds that would be cool

when you start as you a manager you have to build your own stadium or style of ot and make your own team. And build and build the team to a top club

I think u should spread the teams 2 diffrent grounds i agree that all Premier League teams should play at there grounds that would be fab Villa Park White Hart Lane The Hawthorns Kc Stadium And if u was 2 make the grounds like u c on the telly u would have people wanting the game the game play is graite i think u should look at the grounds and training that was not on the o8 ps3 but was on the ps 2

I think that EA should go back to the engine they used for Fifa 06: Road to the World Cup, maybe for Fifa 2010 obviously too late for this years because graphics are cartoony and faces are getting worse ,look at pro evolution (world eleven) 2008 the faces were extremely realistic and the sizes of the players and the pitch were bigger meaning more space and less of a controlled pass and move element more of a do what you want and do diagonal passes across the pitch etc., much more fun and with real names & licenses it would be great, anyway ,

Also in Manager Mode eventually you should be able to manage the national team, and as well as manager mode there should be Player mode where you use your created player (option for full team play not just be a pro) and you can choose who your friends are in the team / enemies , do training (like the loading screen bit but you have set goals to achieve) and you can do interviews and suggest which club you'd like to go to when you want a move etc.

Finally commentary is getting good but still they need a half time show to discuss the highlights and give expert advice on what to do (like hints basically) and the create a player mode needs a major revamp, completely different please, you end up with generic looking players and its leaning towards fight night and madden which are really bad for close up detail which most fans want to create themselves, e.g. for eyebrows have a huge selection and then advanced edit options not just "move up for thickness" etc. and as others have suggested dont have unlockable boots just let us choose and let us make our players 99 straight away its a game for fun offline and serious online.

I hope my suggestions get through because the way its going fifa's gameplay is 3/10 compared to pro evolution's 7/10 and realism is 3/10 to 10/10 , the only thing holding fifa up is the real names & kits but seriously EA do some work, Fifa 07 and 08 and Euro 2008 were the same game with the same menu styles and crappy animations, c'mon EA show us the good stuff, we know you can!!.

I think the transfer situation needs a revamp
such as earning promotion in the lower leagues and you only have a bit of money to bring in 2 or 3 players you cannot bring anyone in as the club wants a massive profit , the bids left is terrible and limits you , doesnt test you as a manager in anyway.The grounds should have the ability to be expanded . Also if you bring through a youth team player that has the ability to be a world class player have teams sniffing round and making bids at a young age and then you take the money and he can either become a nobody and a good sale or a world beater and you be the side that brought him through.

1.Please add at least 1 scottish stadium such as hampden since it has held the uefa cup and champions league finals in recent years, also celtic park and ibrox are top quality.
2. Can created platers be able to use the real boots like nike adidas puma etc.
3. Can created players stats be made 99 again because lets face it that was fun
4. The idea of creatable 5 a side teams/leagues is good aswell

i have a few ideas that i think would be good for FIFA 09

- Put the referee running about onto the pitch

and

- Goal Celebrations,, Nani should do backflips,, ronaldo should praise the skies,, things like that

and

- should lift the cup after you win the FA Cup or another cup

1) When upgrading the stadiums there should be figures ie. from 20,000 to 25,000 capacity
2) Give more realistic transfer budgets, you can't buy much with £200,000
3) Negotiations with other clubs and players should be improved - indicate the success rate of a bid
4) Some players look real but if you go to the lower leagues the players look nothing like themselves
5) Have a referee, linesmen etc. also show subs warming up and a better crowd because they all wave their arms aimlesley in synchronisation, they should wear their teams colours aswell
6) A youth team should be available to bring players up from aswell as being able to buy other teams youth players

make your own celebrations in the euro game
In big matches such as dearby's or cup finals you can make little fights with players like in most football games

I think the following ideas should be put forward so that the FIFA 09 game is better for everyone!!!
1.)I think you should be able to make yuor own stadium because some of the lesser teams have really bad capacity so the y should be able to have a bigger stadium otherwise they lodse loads of money.
2.)When creating players you should be able to put Nike and Adidas and Puma boots on your players because lets be honest if you can give real players real boots then you should be able to put them on yuour player.
3.)Also C.Ronaldo wears loads of tape and sports socks over his football socks so you should make this for the real and created players on the game to make it realistic.
4.)Also when wearing tape its not always around the ankle eg. Ashley Young wears it half way up his legs so you should make that.
5.)You should be able to choose between the Goalkeeper kits and select them for each match and when Man United play Man City they wear black shorts and socks so you should also be able to choose them, I would sugest a three section selection wheel. Also make third kits accessable and not locked because when playing teams you sometimes need the third kit.
6.)Looks.Make some of the lesser players look realistic like from the Premiership and Championship really realistic for example Pique and Eagles looked nothing like what they do in real life on Fifa 08. Also Add a lot more youth players to the squads like Frazier Campbell and Danny Simpson for Man United as well as Ishmeal Miller from West Brom.
7.)More money for the clubs when they get promoted because when ever the teams get promoted on Fifa 08 they are stuck with about 1 million pounfds each rather than getting promotion bonuses. Also add some parachute payments and play-off cash prizes for those teams going up or down.

cup finals at wembly (english cups) and you should have an advert showing the team lift the cup and celebrate with it

I think when you win a cup such as the champions league or the premiership etc, you should get about 20-30 million for it because im playing fifa 08 at the moment and when i win a cup i feel like saying `so what ` as there is no benefits really and it should show your team lifting the cup. (just as dramatically as Euro 2008 the game if u have seen it)

I think that there should be a manager for a national team and there should be a dive button i would no doubt buy it.

Can FIFA 09 have the indoor or 5or6 a-side option back! Could there be an option to create your own 5 aside league!
Could FIFA 09 pease have a stadium creator on it with the capacity to create 10-20 stadiums or so....
Also on the PS3 version of FIFA 08, there are simply not enough Camera angles or options! There are laods of cameras on the replays, but the views what you actually play the game from are well restricted!
Could we please (as loads of people have already said) have more camera angles that are adjustable and have a proper broadcast view that looks EXACTLY like it does on TV!

-it would be good if you could download packs each month which would update the game by doing any transfers but also update player ratings. so if a player doesn't seem as good anymore and is in poor form his rating will be lowered and if a player was in good form and scoring lots of goals his rating would increase.

-there should be more realistic graphics.

Add more depth into the scottish leagues, Not just the SPL add divisons 1 2 + 3 also add more stadiums.

After every season on manager mode you should be able to change the teams kit
see your team lift up the trophy

see referee, linesmen and 4th official
when you win a trophy all your team should run on the park
if you get promoted all your fans should run on and celebrate
have an international manager mode aswell

on the ps3 you should be able to work your way up on manager mode instead of starting with anyone

be able to built new stadiums or be able to make the capacity of your current stadium bigger so you get more money

have streakers run on and watch the stewards tackle them down
see your team warming up on sideline
see managers expression change depending on what the score is or what has happened
have fights on the pitch between players
when you score be able to take your shirt off, jump in crowd, run up to bench and celebrate
at the end of the game let both teams swap tops
have a better soundtrack
get rid of Andy Gray as commentator

make the refs look more realistic, also the crowds more realistic, the chants , movement, attitude to the away team etc. also make the managers and the bench area more realistic.

I also think that you should play the whole nationalsong.

I think that the referee should do wrong things sometimes and not be so perfect all the time, because the real referee´s are not that good.

make be a pro mode as a campaign and face some of the things real players have to and make more of a story line in manager mode. make the crowd more relistic and sing songs for the team that are accually playing.

1. Include the Ivory Coast.
2. In manager mode you should have to start off in a lower league club and have to work you way up to the top, like in FIFA 06 PS2.
3. Make a new mode where you are a made up player and you get scouted for a low division club and have to train to get intrest from bigger clubs.
4. make the crowd more realistic.
5. Have the real Netherlands/Holland team.
6. In manager mode you should be able to look after the youth team and select players from there.

All the prem tams stadiams And , more atmosphere and real boots make all the players look realistic,

i like the idea of uefa when u can do your own celebration.
