Your Ideas for FIFA 09

I like David's ideas (post #12658) that would be brilliant.

Here are more suggestions;

- They should show the commentators inside the studio talking on derby matches as well as cup finals and other big matches. They should show a pre-game show, half-time show and post-game show of them giving their opinions on the match. It would be a good idea to have a player in the studio joining the other commentators, it could even be a created player or a manager. This would be good on big matches only.

- All the referees and linesmen should be on the pitch and the ball should touch the referee once in a while. There should be disputes between players and refeees and referees stoping fights etc.

- Goalkeepers should wear caps once in a while.

- The managers, reserves and staff in the dugout should be visible on the sidelines. They should be seen from the upper part of the pitch. You should see from far away, the manager and everyone else doing gestures and reacting to the play on the pitch. Like the manager is seen screaming to his players onto the field and nervously walking around etc.

- Every league should have their official football. Also, every league should have their own commercials on the stands including the ones with video on them. Every league should have their style of atmosphere, for example; in some leagues they like to have lots of banners everywhere and throw flares while in other leagues is the fans clapping singing and lifting their scarfs up. EA should do all this to enhance the feel of playing in different leagues.

- I get tired of playing in the same stadium all the time. IF EA cannot get the money to get ALL the real stadiums in they should at least create a very similar stadium for EVERY TEAM THAT DOESN'T GET A REAL ONE. This way at least you get to see a different stadium and one that looks more or less like the one that belong to a specific team. Then, EA should let you edit the names of every stadium like you do with a player and if possible, edit the generic stadiums themselves. This is only IF and I mean IF they cannot put in the REAL stadiums.

- EA should bring back the season highlights videos. They should also add Coca-Cola Championship season highlighs videos to buy.

- Every player should have his own physique, like some players are slim. In FIFA 08 many players look out of shape and also move like they are out of shape. Some players in FIFA 08 (PS2) where given tiny heads, like Steven Gerrard. So work on the different styles on bodies and the agility of the players because they are too fat and slow.

If you put these thing into FIFA 09 I will be very happy. We the fans give you many brilliant ideas and I don't think it's fair that we get almost the same game every year. We have to shell out our hard earned money only to become dissapointed with the lack of effort and creativity on your behalf.

i agree with the wether conditions..its boring playing with no wind or rain. make the game more interesting. i believe after everyseason you should be able to change the away kit of the team you are managing. and when you get a new sponsor, please put them on the shirt. perhaps make the game faster. you should make every league look and sound different, say england; crowd moving, cheering, raining etc. even a carrer mode. you start as a young player say 13 at a youth club at a country of your choice. make your way up the the best clubs and play for your national team. GET THE CROWD INTO THE GAME. WHEN A GOAL IS SCORED MAKE THEM JUMP UP AND FLAGS GO EVERYWHERE AND MAKE THEM SOUND LOUDER!!

Also...how can you not have the propper Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, its only the stadium to the world's BIGGEST football club!

For classic players have: Davor Suker, Zvonimir Boban and Slaven Bilic

Also make it you can choose real coaches. In which case, add Slaven Bilic (Croatian Coach) becuase he is the most animated and coolest guy alive.

Like I said in a previous post: Make Luka Modic, Vedran Corluka, Danijel Pranjic, Ivan Rakitic, Eduardo da Silva and Niko Kranjcar really good so that the Crotian National Team is a 4 1/2 star team!

There should be Tournament modes for national teams. Maybe like adding a World Cup and the qualifying group stages for it. There should be also in Manager Mode where you can control a national team instead of a club. Also more national teams should be added like in Euro 2008 game. Especially add the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team because they are never on any FIFA games.

i would like a manager mode for national teams and the trick stick should be easier to use

.....i think in fifa09 there should me more commentary depth,better commentators giving indepth analysis of the live game.During game play managers needs to get involved more,like when goal scored more action at the bench also should be shown at a glance...
-Then i think the jerseys should get more realistics like,since i am a 'manU' fan i would like to show the sponsers emblem on their jersey ( AIG,Vodafone.....).
- Riviraly matches should be more competitive than all othere matches.
- Better Control of the ball speed and curve after the ball is released from the boot.
- Indepth analysis of the matches after the match is over (what went wrong or how to improve on certain skills).
- May be a talking\visual radio (Like in Uefa 05) which i felt was good!!!
- live climatic condition in the leguea stadiums.....(rainig,sunset,ht&humid)
- Subs must be more active like warming up at the sidelines...training ...joging around...

The Goalkeepers are rediculasly good, in create a player dont have any unlockable hair, boots etc.& dont put unlimited XP! and a stadium creator would be great and also been able to choose the celebration after you score a goal, the crowd should get involved more eg. streakers, abuse ref, riots etc. and the ref should be on the Pitch!

Game play and graphics are amazing.

BUT!

Players need to run to the ball. This is a huge missed factor in 08. Players sit their and watch the ball get intercepted and you cant even move the player.

Goalies after making a huge save look like beached whales. They are all quick and need to get up to attempt to save the rebounds. Better goalies should have a great shot at saving the second shot.

The only players that have great ball control shoouldnt be just Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, kKaka. All players should have a decent amount of ball control. in 08 players 88 and lower control the ball like a fat kid in tight underwear.

First touch is horrendous, I apologize but the ball does not bounce around when a player like Ronaldo receives a pass.

Players lose the ball to quickly. and slower players should not just lose the ball cause there slow they need a breakout speed affect.

Defense glitches way to much. They should jump to intercept simple passed balls. and should run into eachother or pass the ball of eachother.

I understand smaller leagues don't need to have every stadium but teams like FC Porto or SL Benfica and other top ranked lower leagues should have their stadiums produced

As for the kid above me the USL is not necessary. I do agree with the Russian and Argentinian leagues.

The teams in the game the way they are are perfect. The more active and better soccer leagues are in the game. The ukranian superleague doesnt belong in FIFA it wont have any1 play with those teams. Besides anyone from ukranian is most likely a barca man u or english premier fan.

Online play should allow you to see how strong your opponents internet connection is. I HATE GETTING caught with a kid with no connection.

we should be able to create our own player and team!

*For Fifa 09 I would like you to have the ability to change kits the color and design of your teams kit after a season if your sponser and board members let you and if your going to be continuing with the team.
*I would also want the ability to have contract offers from different teams in Manager mode at the end of each season.
Also in "Be A Pro" Mode I would like too have the ability to have contract offers from other BIGGER Teams if i had a good season,so I would be able to let down the contract offer or negotiate it .
*Also you need to add more weather Conditions every day its the same old thing.
*Also if your going to have International teams at least have each league of which each international teams players come from. For Example if your going to have South Africa as an International Team have there league as well because if someone likes a player on that team they'll try to switch him to one of there favorite clubs and the league of which the player is in wont be avilable. Also another example is that on the Mexican International team you have Nery Castillo on it which is probablly there best player and when I went into Manger Mode or just plan out try to switch him to a different club his league was not in there.So have the leagues of which all International Teams Players exist.
Also if your going to manage your team,not in manager mode just in general,you should have the free agent list as well because I know that NOT EVERY SINGLE PROFFESIONAL SOCCER PLAYER is on a real proffesional team right now.So I know some are free agents and you should have that in the main menu for accese not just in manager Mode.
*Also make subs have better growth because most subs arent playing because there to young and once they get older there going to start playing but they wont get any better.

i will be putting in my 2 cents on the Create-a-player for the next gen consoles (PS3 and 360)

But before i do i must also say a few things about what others have said. I DO VALUE WHAT YOU'VE ALL SAID but please... the overall sales of FIFA 09 won't go sky high if they introduce the Estonian 3rd division or the Chilean Premier League. i do know that these people are most likly from these countries and want the league. But it won't help the major markets being America, Britain etc.

I am a hypocritical man because my countries relativly 'crap
league {Aus A-League} is in it. But still my case is valid. Everyone plays as the best teams a majority of the time. On the online games i play as Sheffield United or QLD Roar, and every game different opposition have the same teams... Man U, Real Madrid, Baca... what is the point of 30 leagues? let alone 30 more?



Ok.

Create-a-player (PS3/360) Possible fixes.

1) Unlimited XP. If people want to make themselves with an overall of 95. SO BE IT. In my A-League there are some Heavily under-rated and some over-rated players. But i can't change the stats because it's only allowed to reflect the view of a bunch of pundits in Britain.

2) New Models. When i do create new players, [players not on roster, or made-up guys] they all seem to look like the same black guy... just with different skin and hair. I think there should be a caucasin model, negro model, asian and etc.

3) Customizability.

Leagues:
-Russian League
-Argentinean League
-American USL League
-Take into consideration Seattle, Philadelphia and others set to start up in MLS.
-Other South American leagues

Other Stuff:
-The ability to manage not only National Teams, but also Youth National Teams (IE: U-20, U-17)
-Stadium Creator
-Make young players get better, faster. I played with Liverpool for seasons, Lucas only gained about 7 Overall Points. Played with Sunderland (new manager) for 3 seasons, Lucas was up to 86! That is like 20 points! Cmon.
-The ability to sit back and watch for a season.

-Better graphics for the audience, more noise from the audience.
-Referee and assistant-referees must appear on the pitch.
-Referee must be able to give a card after the advantagesituation after a foul.
-Action from the bench, subs doing warming-ups along the sideline etc.
-National Anthems before International games.
-Create a Stadium
-Switch with one click on the button to "play like a pro (3rd person view)" so you can make an action (trick your opponent, make a nice one-on-one-action on the goalkeeper)
-More stadiums
-Set up a community for Consolegamers for uploading and sharing home-made content as Stadiums

you should make players of the ball make lots of runs into space in early fifa titles players stand around not really caring if they get the ball or not. The players should make more gesturs when something happens. The goal keepers should not be superhuman and you should be able to score from out of the box easier than the previous fifa. Maybe add a few more new international teams. The crowd graphics arnt brilliant either and should be improved maybe the crowd should do a mexican wave why your playing the match. Shooting should be improved as the players mostly always use there strongest foot even when the best option would be to shoot with the weeker one.

I like all the detailed suggestions made by Naagin, they are all great concepts that if applied they would undoubtedly greatly improve FIFA 09. As for some of my own suggestions, i would like to see the same detail applied to FIFA 09 as in the other ea sport games, most notably cinematics, such as clips of players and coaches from the dugouts, referees, player interactions. the media and press conferences would also be a great addition to the manager mode as many others have already suggested. besides agreeing with much of what has already been said I would like the players to be more accurately detailed. some look very similar to the real life stars, however some look simply strange. i would also like to see the players look slimmer. i realize that it may seem trivial but, for someone who has bought every FIFIA game since 1998 world cup the details matter. i believe someone has already mentioned this in a previous post, but i would like to reiterate their concern. especially when it comes to the strikers, they are not all as bulky in stature as Wayne Rooney, in fact i know of no striker who has the same built as he does. It would be great to see the likes of thierry henry, ibrahimovic, eto'o, tevez. rhonaldino, among many others slim rather than average or built. i realize that some of the players are taller so it may seem logical that they are bulkier but that is not necessarily the case. i noticed that trezegeut has the slim stature, and he looks great, very realistic. my wish is that all the strikers, and including many midfielders, excluding some of the CDMs, be made slim or at the very most, and not too often, average. they have to be slim in real life, their profession demands that of them. even some of the defenders like canavarro are not bulky, in his case he is just short. in general greater detail added to all aspects of the game, weather, stadiums, pitches, subs on the bench, displays of real managers on the sidelines involved in the game, even some warming up maybe, greater depth in the manager mode including many if not all of the previously said suggestions, a more extensive creation centre, more videos and special effects for winning trophies, improved crowds during the matches, and more people attending the matches, (for some reason, maybe it is a defect with my disk or something of the kind, but every game i play, even with 5 star teams, the stadium looks half empty, empty seats are plainly visible and they take away from the feeling of being at the Camp Nou our at the Allianz Arena, it would be great to see flares, flags waving, waving supporters and various sound effects from supporters chants and from instruments commonly used, more in depth player confrontations should be including, improved gamely for set pieces such as including the old ball target from FIFA 2003 and 2004 etc... the inclusion of many more great past players would drastically improve the game and make it all the more epic, more details in transferring, especially in the manager mode would also be a valid improvement, at the end of the season it would be great if they could receive the individual trophies on the pitch by FIFA personnel such as top scorer etc… more boots to edit players with and for players to wear by default would be fantastic. In NBA 2008 there are about 45 different shoes to choose from, real ones at that, it would be great to see FIFA boast the same sort of detail. What happened to high, low, or medium sock lengths? Please include that again, it was a great characteristic of past FIFA games and adds to the much demanded realism of today’s gaming standards. Going back to the manager mode, it would be great if the player could choose to be a coach himself or to higher an existing coach. Coaches are so influential within the world of football it would be fantastic to see the likes of Mourinho or Arsene Wenger as your coach or even as the coaches of other teams. I would personally like to see the attributes of the players inflated across the board. FIFA 09 is a video game and the more players can do, and the better that they can do it can only add to the experience. Why not have 98 be the highest average given attribute ranking in the game instead of 92? Why do players who are strikers need goal keeping attributes, I think they should be given all 1 and the EXP added to relevant attributes finishing, crossing, etc… I believe that many, in a perfect world all, of these suggestions including many said by previous fans in preceding posts would all contribute to a great FIFA 09 which has the potential of resetting the standard of football (the real football) gaming. I also believe that some improvements and details to the arena would be a great asset as it is one of my favorite features of FIFA 08. perhaps some fake walls, other balls, training equipment etc... in any case, i genuinely hope the team producing FIFA 09 can implement some of my suggestions as well as the many already posted by others to make FIFA better. i wish them the best of luck as i look forward to FIFA 09's release later this fall with great anticipation.

Better tackling. and better free kick system. add a 1080P Mode. visible referee . manager mode see them lift cup and cheering cut scenes when they win better manger mode for example if you do crap you get sacked. improve the shooting keeper cant save every shot. hit in the top corner very close the keeper will save it. being able to control the keeper . add a penalty mode online and off line and training mode. better online and better connections for players with good connections. interactive celebrations . add Cambridge united fc and their league. weather options. like snow rain cold. being able to react to players when they are playing. better fanshop make it like fifa 06. add simulation options like fifa 06. better referee decisions like wrong. and not get the offsides always correct. like on pes when a player celebrates when his offside and he doesn't know that his offside and then the linesman surprises him saying its offside. being able to see commentators and choose as well . better postures for play not like looking the other way.

-Update International teams and jerseys
-More kit variations for clubs
-better graphics such as better looking grass
-more player interactions such as fighting with ref and each other over dumb calls
-have a strecther or car come pick up a injured player-
-better view for throw ins
-more realistic free kicks


and last but not least the game is good right now so keep enhacing and amaze us dont create a WHOLE different game and stupid stuff like that.

2) when you start in manager mode you should be able to upgrade the staduim so you can see it. also at the start of the game you should see the attendance, so for example the emerites stadium if you upgraded it to the max it would be around 100,000 attendance

have the Russian teams, players and league on Fifa 09.

1. More complexity to the transfer process: Teams bid on your players, your player request transfers to specific regions or teams.
2. All professional leagues should be included in manager mode to allow for a maximum number of real players in the database.
3. Scouted players should have randomly genrated faces so you don't have the empty faces on your roster.
4. More varity as to the in game tactic selection: counter attack, switch flanks, bring the house on corner...
5. Build upon the freekick system to include a varity of set plays, in-game selection of the kick taker (FiFa 06 style), fakes, lay offs. And include similar options for the defensive team to counter the selctions made i.e. add and remove players from the wall, position the keeper.
6. In manager mode you should be able to play against another human player so your friends can try to beat you with your team.
7. More teams & leagues.
8. More stadiums & sponsors.
9. The first season in manager mode should start with the real teams that have qualified for the Champions League, Uefa Cup....
10. Offseason freindlies and mini-games to improve specific skill areas for your players. Scouting should be even more complex and you should be able to place players in your academy and instruct the coaches on which atrbutes they should concentrate on.
11. You should have to hire the rest of your coaching staff all the way down to the academey and the coaches should have atributes which they are best at.

it would be amazing if you could have a be a pro mode as keeper or be able to play as keeper in arena!

ive just seen john comment and hes quite right the calender on manager mode should say all mathches and there shouldnt be 2 on 1day not even 2 within 2 days

in manager mode if your manager of a championship club they should use proper balls not just a ball the same couler as the home teams shirt

I think you should be able to create a really good player instead of the game giving you a limit on how good he is. Like previous fifa's your player could be 99 overall and this was mint. When you have created this player you should be able to enter a mode where you take him through his whole career so you can talk to papers,tv, sign new contracts, hear if any other clubs are interested in you and when you are actually playing a game it should play as normal so that you are in control of all of the players on the pitch. Also there should be better crowd interaction so when you score you can go and jump into the crowd. Also if you are beating a team really badly you could see there fans walking towards the exit. There should be more stadiums in the game. There should be a site of the manager and all of the staff when you running near the sidelne, or see your teamates warming up on the sidelines. The commentary needs to be improved quite alot because it is bsolutley lifeless and is unrealistic. For example sometmes i have just did a goal line clearence and they have just said "the ball has been cleared" also countless times i have gone in at half time 4-0 up without the other team having a shot on goal and they say that "its neck and neck and it could co anyway in the second half. But apart from all of this the game is absolutley superb

I almost forgot, Please have all of the official Premierleague stadiums instead of having the lesser known teams playing in the same 1, Estadia what ever it's called.

I think that on FIFA 09 There should be a spercific button to hold whilst pressing shoot, to make the attacker attempt an overhead/bysicle kick.
It would be good if players wanted out of the club and newspaper articles about certain players wanting to join your club.
Make the weather change! it's boring when it is always the same, make it rain or snow or something different, and have a few late night games aswell!
Make the finals of the Champions League in different stadiums each season instead of your own! and the F.A cup final at Wembley!
the transfer window should be longer not 2 - 3 games as it is in the premierleague!
If you could put all of this into FIFA 09 it will be very succesful!

get better raetings on players real kits perfect graphices on everyone in the top leagues get faces rite for example last season on fifa 08 ps2 arsenal's almunia was worng all over you basicly spend more time on the ps3 and xbox360 version than the others

i think that the next fifa game should include ibrox stadium as it holds 51,082 fans and Parkhead as the capacity is 60,857 as well as the fact that there are no scottish stadiums in fifa and rangers and celtic are one of the biggest derby games in the world if not the biggest i think that there stadiums should be in the game.

i wuld like there to be more leagues. mainly russian league because russian football is on the way up. also if arshavin doesnt leave i would like to be able to buy him. also i want players to fight and argue and more bad tackles. also managers should argue on the touchline. also in the transfer market it would be btter if you could do swap deals.

6.) There must be an all classic star team for every club and country. As in every club and country should have a classic team that was the best team the club / country ever fielded during the best years. And even all these classic players should availbale for transfer.

7.) Half Time team talk by coaches to players should be shown in the dressing room.

8.) Players showing dissent when being substitued and sometimes falling out with
the manager and this leading to a player wantng to be transferred must be shown in
in the picth and in the game.

9.) Managers getting fired and sacked should laos be shown.

10.) Signing of new players by a club must be shown on the pitch.

11.) Must be able to buy all classic players from the shop to play for any club / country.

12.) Player awards function must be shown at the end of each season like,
worlds best player , most goals, best goal keeper, midfielder, defender, etc. And also the the contenders must be shown right from half of the season based all players form, etc . As this the shortlisted players for the award
can fight it out until the season ends for the award.

13.) A world record transfer must be shown and applied to the game.

14.) Comentators must also dis agree with the referee's decision.

15.) Sometimes players must fight with each other over a tackle.

16.) Even great players and goal keepers must miss chances or fail at times.

17.) Injured players being strectederd off must be shown.
