First off, Euro 2008 was a good progression from FIFA 08. It was a genuine improvement, and an actual stand alone product.

Here's a few of my own thoughts on what Euro 2008 lacked, and how FIFA 09 could be bettered based on that:

1) Unpredictable shooting - I don't want to have to be a maximum of 8 feet from the keeper to be able to score. I'd like to know that every so often when I fire off a shot from 30 yards it's going to soar into the top corner. It does actually happen in football. A lot. And it should really happen in this game.

2) Referee's - and I don't just mean aesthetically, but they should have an impact on decisions; individually. Like, say, you'd have one referee who was very lenient, and one who was very harsh, e.t.c. It adds realism.

3) Ball physics - the FIFA games still have a habit of suffering from cheap football-syndrome; the ball is kicked and it can float like a beach ball. This has improved a lot over the years, but it still doesn't seem to have mastered the weight of a professional football. There needs to be more substance to the ball itself; it must travel further, faster, Every kick of the football, currently, seems to feel really half-assed.

I truly believe that FIFA is taking far greater steps towards recreating the football experience than PES. While I've been an avid Pro Evo fan, and stood behind the product for well over a decade, it's simply lost the desire to innovate. FIFA, however, is approaching the beautiful game's essence with each year. Hopefully EA will continue to take notice of our comments and push the product forward.

First, Fifa 08 was great, but here are some additions that you should think about. Make more real life situations like showing blood from a wound or having accidental collisions. Show the medical staff running onto the field to help the player. Also, add mini-games like in the psp versions to the next gen systems. Finally, have the options of rainy pitches like in Euro 2008 and even snow maybe.

FIFA uses the terms "respect" and "say no to racism". Well, if EA would add Israel to the next FIFA, that would definitely help the "respect and say no to racism".

I think that the refree & linesmen should be on the field. Also you should be able to appeal e.g. for a foul, hand ball corner. you should have more International teams like e.g. Trinidad, Grenada. And the players should be alot more realalistic. You should be able to save your best goals, And be able to create your own stadium

Indoor 5 a side like fifa 98

I think in fifa 09 u shud include:
1)I think online u shud be able to be classic and world XI.
2)There shud be every premiership stadium on the game.
3)U shud be able to dive to try and fool the ref.(they do on PES 2008)
4)Keepers shud get injured once in a while.
5)More movement at set plays
6)More injuries like a bit more major
7) physio coming on when play is injured and maybe paramedics with stretchers if it is that major
8)Referee and linesman
9)More manager cut screens maybe managersw having arguments after decisions i.e Penalties not given.
10)4th official with boards to show added time like in real life.
11)More celebrations i.e Jumps into crowd, team dances, Abrobatic moves etc.
12) shud be able to customise sock length, tape length and shud have a medium sleeve length with the option to put wristbands on like Cristiano Ronaldo.
13)Build a stadium in manger mode
14) More realistic transfer budgets
15)More weather conditions i.e snow, thunder showers, frost pitch. With match being abandoned etc.
16) Holland to have really kits and squad i.e Nike sponsor, badge and players i.e Ruud van nistelrooy and Rafeal Van Der Vaart
17)Floodlights automatically come when it starts getting dark.
18)Interviews after game on manager mode
19) A Referee mode (like be a pro)
20)Scuffles between players after bad tackles
21)Peter Schmeicel and George Best on classic XI
22)At a corner be able to bring the keeper up at any time in the game
23)More free kick options like lay offs, flick ups and maybe a chance to create your own
24) Maybe have the womens premier league on it and women internationals as well as the mens international.
25)Be able to customise kit like sometimes Man Utd play in Red,White,Whote not always Red,Whit, Black
26)Have Home and Away GK Kits

I think that there should be more than 2 commentators.

I feel fifa games are the best footballing games in the world although they lack realistic situations for example when i player gets a booking he should run towards the ref and plede him not 2 show the card another thing is that on substitutions it should show the player clapping and shaking hands with other team mate that is replacing him.

If you have noticed on the lma manager series it show the 2 managers shaking hand s now if this was 2 be on fifa 09 it would be the best ever game created. now i no it must be a very difficult to create players e.g kaka ronaldo and ballack but i feel if you can create them then i think that you should be able to create just the premier league managers & other big leagues i mean create other managers as well but they do not have to be perfect and look excactly like them but it would be great especially if you can create ur own manager as well.

anothe thing fifa 08 lacks is real stadiums e.g white hart lane i think all the premier league and or other big named leagues stadiums should be on it . thank you for listening to my comments i look forward to seeing the new fifa being put on the shelves of computer game stores thank you

u shud put the refs on n the assist refs, when u create a player n he is playin u shud get the comertaners 2 say there names and put there real kit pattents on n u can create ur own team n create ur own staduim and u can start f8s when u get tackle roung.

X-Box 360 edition - How about having the cup finals played in the national (or even neutral) stadiums? I have another few - but I think they'll all be covered by other posts on this site... Other teams buying players and a youth system would be good too...

Add Dutch kit and players
Practice mode-it would be nice 2 practice tricks on players and not just goalies who can dive at your feet in the arena
Russian and greek leagues
international teams in manager mode
in some leagues cant transfer apart from in january-sort this out
maybe an african league (South african probably best)
be able to make a team
add refs
90 minute games
put in the thing that makes players get better or worse after a game depending on how they played like in euro 08
be able to change kits after a season

Some suggestions for Fifa 09:
1.Please put real boots
2.Create stadium for custom clubs
3. faster skills that works
4. Proper subtitutes
5. Manage international teams
6. a longer be-a-pro mode e.g. 15 years or choose when to retire
7. Get to see the team lifting up the cup

I'm a big Fifa fan i have use to paly it on the PC since Fifa97 than WC2006 on PS2 though fifa07 and now the absolutly greatest Fifa08 on PS3 but there is some things I'm missing from PS2 07 like meeting and calling friends for a game. To bad to send a message to someone we have to quit the game. There is one thing I hate in 08 i'm sutre its a glitch when someone loosing a game quits when do that in some specific moment there IS NO RECORD OF IT like tha game never took place. If possible I like to see that fixet by EA team, its ok if there is a draw or someone is winnig and like to quit and lose the points but that is so unfair for someone who play to the end every game loose high and when finaly some of the game is going well someone quits iand there is no record of it!!! What i like to see in new fifa... well i have a dream it would be so nice to be able to watch the game played by a freend as spectator while waiting for frien to finish the game, i think that be so cool. I understand that the game cant be open to every one but if we can play in 10 person in one game the one on one shouldn't be a problem to be watch by a couple of friends. Offline playng well i almost dont play that. Its really fun to be able to play somebody half world away that playing offline is no fun no more, it would be nice to have a way to practise the set pieces and that is a missing part of 08 comparing to 07. And in my opinion the controling interface is very good and i don't think there is much to be change to improve that with out actually demaging it, please dont change it if possible.

so in short version:
1. Improve the communication IN THE GAME
2. Fix the quitting glitch so cheaters cant get away with it
3. Practise field
4. Spectator mode

you should be able to create tournaments in manager mode so that we could have our own champions league. couldn't they just make the champions league tounament and change the name and give us the ability to change its name or something?

you should make be a pro into a career where you start off as a youth and get put in the reserves side of any team you want then you have to work your way up to first team then internationals then captain internationals then legend and you can decide whether to stay at the club or not and you dont control the team.
you should also be able to get sponsors for your player like nike and adidas.
you should also be able to change the colour off the boots your player wears like say you had red and white nike mercurials you should be able to change them into orange and red nike mercurials.
plus the injuries should be realistic and you should be able to see the ref.

You should be able to edit as many players as you want.
Bring Back the unlockable boots from the world cup game 06 where you can buy all the types of nice boots in the fan shop

I think Fifa is great yet there are maybe a few things i would like to see in Fifa 09.

1) When creating a customised tournament i would like it if you could not just use domestic clubs but international teams too.

2) I think it would be great if as a seperate mini game you could have a 6-a-side tournamnent.I think this would be fun and really entertaining.

1.You should be able to get every premiership stadium coz it would make it more realistic because you dont include big stadiums such as Sunderland and Man City which both hold nearly 50,000.
2. You should be able to create your own team and create your own stadium, kits and badges for the team.
3. When you create a player you should be able to put thier attributes as high as you want.
4. If you win a trophy, accually show them lifting it, recieving medals est.
5.More skills and make them easier to use.
6. More realistic play ie. when your playing against Ronaldo make him do stepovers and lots of tricks
7. Free kicks easier to score and more goals from long range.
8. Realistic refs for example get a few offside descisions wrong and dodgy desisions,and have the odd goalkeeper blunder now and then.
9. More international teams such as Iran, Trinidad and Tobago, Sebia, Isreal, Egypt.
10. Defenders coming up 4 corners ie. Vidic and Ferdinand go up 4 Man U but on the game they stay back

u need to put more penalty claims in and more handballs given.

1 - Lower Leagues - I think that FIFA 08 was ruined by the lack of lower leagues it included e.g.
you should be able to arrange a friendly with a Blue Square Premier League
team such as Millwall F.C v.s Ebbsfleet United F.C

2 - Cup Competitions - Cup competitions in FIFA 08 was ruined by the small minority you can
participate in and the realism of the Cups. They were shown to be
unrealistic and they didn't look like a lot of effort was put in.

3 - Fooballs - Footballs in FIFA 08 was never a major problem to anyone yet if you win promotion
your home match football never changes. Also in the cup games you never get an
F.A Cup football or a Carling Cup football ect.

4 - Sleeve Patches - Sleeve Patches in FIFA 08 was also never a problem to anyone yet in the
competitions or new leagues they never get changed and this is only a minor
problem.

5 - Referee/Linesmen - I think the Linesmen and Refs need to be shown on the pitch to make it more
realistic and that they should sometimes make mistakes and also give handball.

6 - Crowd/Chants - I believe something else to add into FIFA 09 is more realistic chants for every
team and the crowd to look 3-D. This has bothered a lot of for years and I feel
that it is something that needs to be sorted. Also pitch invasions and streakers
would bring more realism into the game yet you should have points deducted.

7 - Chairman/Investors - Investors and new chairmen would be a good addition to the game and I
think that people would enjoy that more so if your out o money your chairman
can put money into the club. I think that a points deduction should be issued
if you fail to keep your club out of administration. To stop this you should be able
to hold meetings and convince the chairman.

8 - Commentary/TV Brands - Commentators of your choice would be quite exciting and having Sky
Sports ect. you should also be able to choose advertising boards for
your home games, be able to make them - using a camera or just
editing- and have realistic boards for lower leagues e.g. South London
Press

9 - Stadium Editor - I realise you have the poll running already yet i thought i should add this anyway
as this may be the best thing FIFA could ever think of adding as then you can play
at your own ground. I think that you should be a able to name the stands, make the
scenery around the area, be charged for buying buys e.g. you pay -£1000 for 1000
Pukka Pies, you should also be able to make a ticket price for each block and limit
the amount of tickets you sell.

10 - Staff/Grounds-men - 1 other thing FIFA 09 should have is Stewards/Police ect. in 3-D that you have
to hire and pay for. You should also have grounds-men who sprinkle the pitch at
half-time and cut the grass ect. This doesn't tie in with this paragraph yet you
should be able to give out a half time team talk or play as the subs and train at
the break and then lessen the crowd as people go inside

these ideas are needed

i think that real sponserers should want to sponser your club
more teams and leagues where is the russian league
more good youth players and wage demands
swap deals in the transfer market and players wanting to leave
younger players dont behave as much-such as them and their girlfriends in the news

hi i would like to see MORE ASIAN NATIONAL TEAMS SUCH AS IRAN and SAUDI ARABIA and their leagues.

ASIAN FOOTBALL IS VERY STRONG SO I CANT SEE FOR ANY REASON WHY YOU CANT HAVE TEAMS LIKE IRAN AND SUADI ARABIA IN THE GAMES.

IS LIKE PLAYING FIFA WITHOUR FRANCE AND ENGLAND NATIONAL TEAMS. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE???
