Your Ideas for FIFA 09

FIFA IS GREAT, however if you start with a good team such as Chelsea or Man United how is it that you can't be in the Champions League in the first season even if that team is in the Champions League in real life that season! I think to take Fifa to the next level it needs to be more realistic and compatible with real life, such as the fixtures should be realistic with actual seasons and the stadiums need to be completely identical to the real thing. The commentating could also be improved alot.

3. Different ways to take free kicks in font of goal and defend free kicks( like being able to move the wall and make players jump the kick, like in 07 on the current gen).
4.Different weather, like snow and rain.
5. And ad the argentine soccer leauge.
*All these changes are for the next-gen consoles.

in fifa 08 there is a mode were you play as just 1 player you should have a charer were you have to go from a confrence or leaugue 2 clup and become better until your country calls you to play for them.

Make the results more realistic, sometimes i see Derby County beating Liverpool 3-0, that is not realistic, also in the end of the season the top team is with 75 points at the most, that is not realistic, in EPL 75 points would earn you 3rd-4th place
Make the top 4 get beaten 1-2 times at home, if not a perfect home record, sometimes I see Man Utd with 3 home losses at the beginning of the season
Make the rating of a team have a bigger influence on the game, and home advantage, and player skills


Gameplay:
When a through pass is played make it so you can control the player, in this version if the player is chasing the ball then you cant move him, change that
The goalie makes IMPOSSIBLE SAVES, weaken the goalie a little bit, not that much in 07 he was too weak in 08 he is too strong, make it somewhere in the middle
Make the players use sprint more, if one of the computers players is on a breakaway he stops before getting close and tries to pass, make the comp for selfish with the ball, and use tricks
Free kicks and set pieces need to be able to be taken QUICKLY, without the screen changing, quick corners, quick free kicks, quick goal kicks.
Cup finals need to be played in the cup final stadiums! Not the home team's stadium
Allow you to change kits at end of season
Don't make the game over when you get fired
Playeres decide to leave club if they don't get enough playing time

Extras:
Add referees
Commentators need to be more in the game, on better plays, important games, last minute goals
More celebrations
WAY MORE stadiumds, maybe 60 real ones and 5-10 made up ones
Don't make every team without a stadium play on a single stadium, it gets boring
Make sure better stadiums have better fields, worse have worse
Fans with scarves
You see managers on sidelines with subs warming up and waiting
When doing substitutions the 4th official shows the numbers with the electronic board
Subs warming up at half time when losing
When injuries happen the player can leave the field for treatment, play doesnt stop, the other team has to decide to kick it out
WEATHER and make it have an effect on the field, and ball movement, and players, make it harder to hit accurate shots and passes, harder to control

What i really think about fifa 08 overall its a really good game just that , it is really hard to do tricks its almost immpossible to get past a player they always get the ball away from you , it should be easier to fakeout players just a bit more. Also there could be more advanced tricks because there are hardly any tricks at all only like 5 or 6. Maybe even give a player a signature move that only they can do that would be good.

Fifa is a good game but the reaction time of the players is too slow. Also if you pass a ball you should be able to come to it instead of just waiting for it to reach you. It needs to speed up a little too. I'm A converted pes man!!!

There should be atleast one team from every country... For example Tampere United from finland... More Stadiums...!!!

People keep saying that in order to convert PES players over to FIFA you need more stadiums, teams...blah blah blah. The reason people play PES is for the GAMEPLAY and the EDITING features. I was a PES fan, but FIFA 08 is such a good game I am torn between the two. While playing FIFA 08 however I found some things that need to be tweaked

GOALKEEPERS
-saving impossible shots
-deflecting shots away / over the goal when they should be easily caught or at least held on to.

SHOOTING
- Every shot is not right to the goalkeeper or in the upper corner

OTHER
-Response time of the players (taking an extra touch before they shoot when pressed)
-Urgency (in the box, both attacking and defending)
-Speed of the shot/cross power bar (needs to be quicker)

Other than the things listed above the FIFA 08 gameplay is perfect. The other reason people play PES is the editing features. Everyone is opinionated about the skill of each player, if you have an excellent edit feature everyone can tweak the skills/appearance of their favorite player(s) to meet their expectations.

To me there are a few things i cant live without on fifa. Here are the few....
1. Goal celebrations: like Kaka 's finger point in the air while he jogs or Luca Toni's.
basically, give certain players there actually celebrations.
2. Be able to control the goal keeper ourselves in one-on one situations.
3. Different ways to take free kicks; like in real life.
4. More stadiums please!

Fifa 2008 is the best I played fifa, on the other hand should be the custodians have remained animation is that the cinematics early game is more realistic with music at the entry teams on the ground, that players such as shakes hands in the réality, the presence of Arbitrator and the sidelines and still have remained animation for the players.

dynamic weather! there have been no rains or snow about in the last six games or even more. more authenticy to the grass in the stadiums. it would be great that example: spartak-barcelona. barcelona cant play the ball so well because the damaged grass and spartak is on strike because their home game. also more targeting on the gameplay. in 08 its really hard to win arsenal derby county, well not always but too often against computer derby can ceate really close situations and thats really not realistic. if good teams play bad team, the play should be like that bad team is focusing on defence and try to take the goals in strikes. nhl 08 was excellent! make us gamers to be proud of fifa 09

Make the game more interactive. If you increase the interaction the game has the game life will last longer. The graphics are fine, game play if fine, amount of teams are fine. Lets have more chants to create a more personal feel to each team and create a good old terrace feel to the game. Lets have the ref and linesman visable. Managers run onto pitch and react. These are simple things yet are gimmicky and appeal to people. As for the game modes - be a pro mode should be like superstar in madden. Manager mode is fine and works well but is very limited. I know people say that game play is the most important aspect in football games but we all know that pro evo will always provide better game play due the simplicity and how very arcade it is. Fifa needs to offer something that Pro doesn't which is features and interaction in manager mode. Lets be able to customize grounds. Purchase facilities like club shops, restaurants, new training facilities, car parks etc. Lets be able to choose kits and have a proper budget of money which is manageable at the end of the season between wages and transfers and structure costs. I think also we should be able to interact with players more so if they perform bad we can say something or explain to them that they will be dropped for 2 weeks say while we give another player a run out. By adding extra attributes to players they will become more individual and more responsive in different ways to your personal comments towards them. Although people will say pro has better gameplay with all these features you will not be choosing fifa for the game play but because you are more in controll of game. It will be similar to football manager but more user friendly and also you will be able to play the games.

In FIFA 09, the teams who does not have a stadium specially made for them shouldn't always have the same stadiums as other. Like Watford Stadium on FIFA 08 ( Manager Mode ) and Tottenham stadium ( Manager Mode ) play in the same stadium. Every team shouldn't have the same stadium if they don't already have one. Another thing that may need to change are that there are tracks on FIFA that are so boring. There need to be different songs on there like Rock, Heavy Metal, USA Hip-Hop, UK Grime that are British, American or Austrailan. ( other country's music should be used for people who are buying it in a different country ). The little starting bit at the beginning ( once you press start to play the whole FIFA game ) should be more interesting, FIFA 07 was at night, FIFA 08 is at day, now FIFA 09 bit should be at a real stadium of your choice. ( no crowd in the stadium ). Different weather should be used now eg, rain, sunny, windy and rainy, windy and sunny, really hot, really cold, cloudy sky etc. Once you create a player on FIFA 08 the player usually lasts for about a week, now on FIFA 09 the player can be perminetlly saved onto the game. And when you do the player growth on FIFA 09, you can have the option to make everything 99% or lower just like on FIFA 06. Before the macth, After the match and at half time, there should be many animations of Jamie Redknap, Richard Keys and Andy Gray, the background should be the stadium that the game is to be played replays and highlights are to be shown.

Instead of just being allowed to choose which kit to wear per team, you should be able to pick which shirt color and which short color seperately, letting the player choose his own kit combination. More national teams... not everyone passionately supports a club, but EVERYONE passionately supports their country.... ( More sales!!!)
