Wats going on with the a-league, Sydney FC smashed LA Galaxy 5-1, the A-league teams are definetly 1 to 1 and a half stars, we are much better then that, at least make it 2 stars, come on,

For stadiums you should put the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) into the game, it might be a cricket ground but it is huge( With a total capacity of approximately 100,000 people) and it plays host to a variety of sports like football, Rugby, League and soccer, it should also include Suncorp Stadium wich hold 52,500 plus people and is home to QLD Roar, and also Telstra Stadium which is now known as ANZ stadium because of a corperate deal can hold 83,500 people, also the Telstra Dome, which is the home of Melbourne Victory and it can hold 53,370 people and has a retractable roof, Also Sydney Football Stadium wich is home to Sydney FC and can hold 45,500 people, it played host to Football during the 2000 Olympic Games, know what, i have a better idea, just put in all the home grounds for the A-league, but still put in the MCG because its just so big and it will look great on Fifa 2009. keep up the good work but dont underate us Aussies!!! BTW fix the free kicks

you got the gameplay just about perfect guys, now i think you should focus a bit more on the overral presentation of the package, what i mean is you should make the game environment feel more alive, like a real soccer game, the crowds standing up waving their hands, referees on the pitch, substitutes on benches, i bet you guys have gone to a gazillion soccer games, how was the environment? ALIVE! well at least on most of the games depending the teams and league. Something i liked about this fifa is how you included emty seats on games, i thought it was going to be all perfect, and when i realized, your great looking in game crowds just sat like robots on their chairs, we can hear them cheer, but apparently these little fellows didnt even bother to stand or raise their hands up when a goal was scored or from time to time, something you had been doing in the past few games, but just when you where about to nail it, you included a very boring crowd in fifa 08! guys dont implement new features if you are going to take away some of the god old ones, little things like those can make a difference in a soccer videogame, no matter how perfect or realistic your gamplay is, if there is a boring crowd and no real soccer spirit on the pitch... then the game simply gets boring after a couple of matches, please guys, make fifa 09 a more ALIVE game, because thats the way we know soccer, its a sport that is lived by players, fans and viewers.

there's a few things i would like to see changed. i agree with everything david from comment number 2672 has said and can only think of a few things that need adding! fifa 06, 07, 08 had the premier league official numbers and 08 even had the ones from the MLS so when are we going to see the same for the championship and the two other english leagues? thats 72 clubs who all have the same surely that would be easier and would look so much more realistic. the other thing i would like is to be able to choose a net design for the team you are managing! lots of teams across the world have different nets so lets have the opportunity to make it individual to us! thats all ta!!

I think like whenyou take a shot the camera getsrealy close to the ball and it's in slowmotion, also that be a pro can also go in like pro manager mode, and there shouldn't be all these weied glitches.

fifa 08 is an amazing game but some things it can improve on is this:

1st of all some players look very realistic but the not so popular ones look like a grade 8 drew him and just dicided well lets put that in the game its good enough... 2nd i know a lot of people are saying the same things but that just gives us a better cjance of it being put in the game so it is have a creation center where u can make staidiums players boots jerseys balls shingaurds sweat bands and stuuf like nhl 08.. 3rd u should put REF AND SIDELINE people on it to look more real like if someone gets injured and all of a sudden the ref comes out of nowhere its like OMG ITS GOD! AND HES HOLDIN UP A RED CARD wtf?also the havr the coches reactions to a goal stuff 4th being able to get new sponsers on ur jersey and changing ur jersey asweel like look at some teams from this year and last yer barcalona had pin stripes which they still do and from yellow to baby blue not still yellow 5th no spelling mistakes like adrian mutu is adrian mugru ???? Please, for only once in a lifitime, I wish you could be able to include the official Greek Superleague (Greek League) in Fifa 09, with all the official logos, sponsors, players, names of teams, jerseys, ball and stadiums. People we need more weather conditions, eg snow?, Offical International trophies but also this glitch that in season mode u should have a balance of night/day matches not just completley day or night.. Bring more speed to the players and you have a perfect soccer/football game

I THINK THAT THE FANS SHOULD BE BETTER AT THE STADIUM, MORE REALISTIC. FLARES GOING OF IN THE CROWDS, FANS JUMPING UP AND DOWN WHEN THE TEAM IS UP AND SITTING AND BOOING WHEN THERE TEAM IS DOWN. SHOULD EVEN IN SOME CASES HAVE THE FANS OVER CROWING THE EDGES OF THE PITCH WITH THE WITH CROWD CONTROL TRYING TO PUSH THEM BACK AS YOU WOULD SEE IN THE REAL GAME. BASICALLY I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A MILD VERSION OF SOCCOR HOOLIGANS THAT REACT TO THE SITUATIONS OF THE GAME, NOT JUST BY SOUND BUT VISIUALY AROUND THE PITCH. WOULD MAKE A MUCH BETTER PLAYING ATMOSPHERE.

In Game

1. Score in top corner to reflect the league you are playing in. Ex: Premiership, Bundisliga, French Ligue 1, Champions League, FA Cup, etc.

2. More of a TV style opening presentation and to be league specific to create that certain atmosphere. Atmosphere is the hardest thing to recreate. It’s all in the little details.

4. Hostility Meter- Raises with bad calls, viscous tackles, cards, etc. Starts higher for rivalries. Ex: Man United vs. Arsenal would start with a high intensity as opposed to Liverpool vs. Tottenham. That’s not to say the rivalries can’t be created. If a game starts tame and then gets very physical and ends on a high note, the next game between the two clubs would start on a higher level of hostility whether it is a cup game or a league fixture. Once the level gets to about 90%, things will start flying onto the pitch. You want to avoid getting to 100% though because the clubs may be fined for their part. It’s not to say that both clubs would be fined. If one team is out of control and the other is playing responsible football, only one team may be charged. If this happens too many times during the course of a season, a team could see a deduction in points next term, relegation or even a ban from European Play for a season. The object then becomes to play a fair responsible game of football, but that doesn’t always happen.

5. In Game ticker- gives updates on games happening at the same time you are playing as well as games that have already been completed that day. If you need 3 points to overtake Arsenal for the league lead and a ticker pops up saying they are losing to Chelsea, you know you best win the game to take top spot.

6. More injuries- Injuries don’t only happen during a tackle, they happen when players jump for the ball and clash heads or come down on their ankle wrong. They happen when players block shots. Goalies get injured when they charge for the ball and a player doesn’t stop or when they dive for it and come down on their shoulder. There are so many more possibilities. I don’t like to see injuries, but they are a big part of the game and they give your reserves and youths a better shot at the senior team.

7. Players on pitch to be speaking and shouting in the language of their country

8. A pop up during the game should show how many people attended the match

9. Villain rating- If an away player makes a crunching tackle on a home player, every time he touches the ball, he gets jeered. So players may play better when getting jeered and some might just want to leave the pitch.

10. More elaborate Manager History- Keeps track of which teams you have played and beaten. Who your rival teams are. Total matches in charge.

11. The ability to make substitutions on the fly. It is a pain to have to stop the game, go to the menu, select your players, swap them, go back to the menu and then restart the game. I would be nice if you could press the select button or something and have a little window pop up with a list of names you could scroll through. You could do it anytime during the game or a cut scene.

-at the end of a game the ball shouldn'y just hit the player and bounce off him, the player should control the ball and do different things
-in menus you should be able to use the right stick to control the music, next track, previous track, play/pause etc.

-online mode needs some work, you should be able to rematch straight away
-change manager mode back, spending XP points on your players is stupid, they should grow themselves

-fix throw-ins
-L1 to change player was good but performing tricks is rubbish, you should scrap that idea
-precision shot was terrible you have to let go off sprint and then press R1
-basically tweak the controls slightly

fifa is brilliant. but one thing wich i would prefer is that when u create a player. that u could make him have nice boots like ronaldo and rooney, instead of horrible ones. and also, that the players could wear under armour. the players seem to all wear it. oh and some better hairstyles. not all different sized french crops or buzz cuts.

Well I was a little bit disappointed with FIFA 08. I think these are some things they should do to make FIFA 09 good:
1. Make an Owner Mode, where you can create your own stadium, manage all the finance, buy the players etc etc
2. Make a Superstar mode, where you make yourself as a player and start of at a lower division team and work up until you get an offer from a big team. If anyone has Madden 08 you can see how good it is.
3. Get rid of all that Be a Pro stuff, that is just crap!
4. In Manager Mode, they should let you create your own stadium for your team, or maybe upgrade it. It is annoying having the same home ground as lots of other teams.
5. Have custom Champions League jerseys, AND you should be able to change your jersey and it’s sponsors every year.
6. Make an Argentinian League, a Greek league, the J-League and other popular leagues, not leagues some people never knew existed! eg Irish league.
7. In Manager Mode they should have events happening in the off season eg World Cup, Africa Nations Cup, Euro, Asian Cup, Copa America
8. They should let you become the manager of a national team.
Also,
Make the tournaments of South America eg Copa America, Copa Libertadores
AND WE SHOULD HAVE SOME SORT OF SCOUTING SYSTEM DIFFERENT TO THE ONE WE HAVE. SO LIKE BEFORE YOU BUY YOU CAN GET PEOPLE TO GIVE REPORTS ON THEM.

Make the genetic people look a bit more realistic. It gets boring after a while when everyone looks fake.

I know they probably won’t do any of those things, but there are some good ideas to improve it.

all the national teams have to be in the game e.g the ones from the african cup of nations.
also australian a-league players overalls should genrally be higher and players such as nick ward, kaz ptafta, robbie kruse, michael zullo, biddle, should all be higher and progress heaps more in manager mode. another thing on manager mode there should be breaks where you play the world cup for that year or at the end or something like that,include all players that are young and rising. more leagues such as agentine chile costa rican, ukraine, asian champions league, club world cup another harder difficulty.

these African Teams on it Ivory Coast,Cameroon,Ghana,Egypt,Nigeria,Togo,Senegal,Guinea,Sambia
,South Africa and Marocco

The main thing i want to see is more capeabilities in manager mode

1) Harness alot of the ideas from the PC game FIFA manager 08 - the ability to build and upgrade stadiums is great.

2) Found new club - being able to create your own club and join one of the leagues would also be really good. Create your team logo/sheild, playing kit and design your stadium and take itfrom there.

3) Agent mode? Creating or selecting a player and being there agent/playing as them for there club, choosing where to transfer to and from untill you reach your desired team.

4) THE LITTLE THINGS!!! its little things and attention to detail which ppl like
for eg - when substitutions are made, have the two players shake hands tap eachother on the back what ever

- see the coaches/benches reaction to fouls, goals etc.

- more celebrations

-crowd atmosphere(more chants)

-including referees and linesmen

the main thing i dislike about fifa 08 is the lack of abilities in manager mode - apart from that and the things ive said above its a great game:D

You guys should put the *FIFA 98 INDOOR MODE* n when people r fixing their teams 2 show a good pic of the real player! PLEASE!

Alright, let's see, where to begin. FIFA 08 has been great. Even if the AI is hard, it is very challenging so kudos on the AI, keep it the same.

First things first. PC should have the capability of Next Gen. You should market both for PC. Like if someone has a lower end systems, they'd get current gen and PC's with like GeForce 8 series or something can get Next Gen. More money that way guys! Trust me!

Let's go the first matter and that is players. The first business with that is celebrations. It's so dull. When a player scores a goal. They stop for a second, turn to the side like a robot, raise their arm and run. Make it more natural; When they score, make them run immediately and do all that jazz. And please, add more celebration animations for
players.

Speaking of scoring goals, can you please make the commentator more exciting? Like he's all: "and it's a goal." where's the excitement? where is the enthusiasm? how bout: "AND GOAL!!!!!" Like loudly and with more excitement.

Commentators, there's another thing. Clive is awesome, no doubt about that. But can you make it so he has MUCH more to say? and honestly, add more commentators. Like how bout Clive, Martin or Derek Rae? and maybe some foreign commentators? So at the beginning of the match it should have an option that says: Choose Commentator and you get to choose whoever you like. That would be MUCH better.

Let's move on to Stadiums. First things first and that's fix Old Trafford! Add the new sections in the corners! ffs! you missed it in FIFA 07 and FIFA 08 and that's annoying. Make the stadium crowd more dynamic. Like Man U crowd wears red, Chelsea crowd wears blue, etc etc.

There's another issue, the crowd. Hello? where are some of the good chants? You are my Solskjaer, That boy Ronaldo and for other teams as well. I understand that some chants have profanity in it, but honestly speaking, you can just mask that out or put another word in for it. That'd be better.

More stadiums! yes, back to stadiums. Hello? Philips Stadion for PSV? De Kuip for Feyenoord? Villa Park? You guys squeezed White Hart Lane in with fuss. C'mon, more stadiums! think of the money you'd make.

I really like the idea that you guys had the commentators say the players' names more often now. Like: "that shot was blocked by Rio Ferdinand" or "that shot won't get past van der Sar"; those were real good, but expand it to more players.

Also, have the commenators comment on more things as well. Honestly, you can script ANYTHING these days so why not script that? such as: "Manchester United have to win today if they have any chance of winning the league." stuff like that would be real awesome.

Add flares! I know that might be a bad influence, but add flares to the game! Like maybe halfway through the game people like up flares. Not like throwing them, but just lightning them up and then shutting them off.

Give the idea of behind closed doors. Say you get like 5 yellow cards in a game or like 3 red cards in a game then you will be forced to play behind closed doors for the next game and thus, NO TICKET PRICES and you'd lose money. I think that would prompt people to not foul so much and make proper tackles instead of thinking: "OMG! IMA BE VIOLENT AND TACKLE EVERYONE USING AGGRESSIVE TACKLE AND GET AWAY WITH IT!"

Back to the crowd chants, add some provoking chants. Nothing harsh, but something sensible. Like in English football, when a team that's been leading 1-0 for so long suddenly conceeds, the crowd of the team that just equalized starts chanting: "Who are ya? who are ya?" That'd be awesome to have.

Make injuries more realistic! players BARELY get injured. Look at United. They have like 3 players injured on long term! make injuries more realistic so that players get injured. Nothing harsh, but at least make the players a little more human like so they get injured and not like robotic super machines were a tackle that should've broken their leg barely even scratches them.

Make the AI more dynamic. Like if they're losing 1-0 and it's the 85th minute, make them switch formations to like 4-3-3 to add more attacking options and make their subtitutions real! I mean, say Arsenal. I was beating them 1-0 the other day and they brought on Rosicky for Eboue and Rosicky ended up playing in defense rather than attack so not much help there.

- Please, improve the stadiums on the XBOX 360 version. Add all the generic stadiums from PS2 and more real stadiums ( like City of Manchester Stadium!).
- More national teams like all '06 World Cup teams, like Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Togo, Angola, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Costa Rica, Cote d'Ivoire, Estonia, Iceland, Colombia, Egypt, Chile, Peru etc.

1)i play online a lot and one thing i'd really like would be to have a rematch option right after the match ends
it kinda sucks to have to go to the arena and then start all over.
2)i see that a lot of people are complaining about fifa not having all the leagues in the world.
i guess it'd be kinda nice but you also have to consider that most of the people who play online always pick a handful of teams and i'd say that 50% or more of the people out there playing
right now picked barcelona.
3)i do agree with all the people that want changes to the manager mode. i used to love to play manger mode
but after playing online i don't want to do anything but online play, the reason? manager mode
is BORING. don't get me wrong it is challenging (depending on the difficulty settings) but
its the same thing game after game after game. and beating the computer is not half as rewarding
as beating an opponent on line :D so my idea? add one more option to the "play or simulate match" how about
play match online?. now that'd be kinda cool. and if you lose why not give you the option to rematch?

oh ye and also you need to put in more stadiums because whenever you play one of the smaller teams its always at the same stadium, fifa 07 for example had at least 2-3 different stadiums for each smaller team in every league

fifa 08 is brilliant this year apart from the overalls for example Ronaldinho should never be a 90 and arsenal are so under rated it unreal so i think if you were to change anything in fifa 09 it would be the overalls

How about:
- Putting in the world famous & popular *FIFA 98 INDOOR MODE*....Really, why has this been an omission for so long?

- Bringing back the individual stadium introductions....Which can be then incorporated with the location, city/country...and even with the team history (if its a big game)

- Keeping the same interface, brilliant....But allow the user to import/delete songs from the soundtrack from the console's (well, ps3 & xbox anyway) hard drive.

- Fixing the situation where keepers stay on their line & collect the ball at the last second even when the button for them to come out is held.

- Putting in a free-kcik system with more control

- Fixing throw-ins, they were a bit crap this year.

- Making more variety in the off-the-ball runs players (especially forwards) make when the button is pressed

Well it would be nice to have a bigger variety of boots and more players n the croatian league

first things first, i have fifa on the ps3 and for the first time ever i think it is better than its rival pro evo. well done ea, however i still think there is alot of room for improvement. firstly, when you've worked hard to get into a final you expect something different, something special yet its just like any other match. you need to make it special with fireworks, mascots, flags music etc like the world cup final. also you need a good trophy celebration at the end, like players being handed medals and lifting the trophy. this needs to be about 2 minutes long and although this may seem insignificant to people i believe that it will add to the authenticity of the fifa experience that EA prides itself on. please include this in 09. also, you need to make sure that all the final cup games are played at wembley not just the home teams ground. cum on ea this was lazy in 08. weather conditions need to be revamped as well. wats a game football without mud and rain. we need to choose from summer and winter, rain or no rain, snow or no snow and you need the pitches to wear and tear aswell. moreover, i think a big improvement this year is the diffulculty of the game which means a much more realistic game - got to keep this the same otherwise its like previous years. ps get villa park in the game. hope you take my ideas on board.

Make the people in the crowd more realistic, so some of the people do different things and not every1 doing the same. Make the refere part of the game more so that players can argue with him. When a player is hurt make people run on the pitch to treat them like in a real match, and stretcher them off if they are badly injured. Add realistic injuries such as broken legs and bangs to the head and there's blood. Improve player graphics, ball graphics, crowd, and stadium graphics.

Winning eleven is more requeride for 1 think. IS MORE REAL.... fifa 09 --->more real.....
