Superstar Mode
You start off a created player and try out for teams, build up stats so can try out for higher teams.

These are the following features/changes I would like to see in Fifa 09:

1. Be a Pro Season/Career, you start in a lower league club and work your way up by playing well etc, and earning popularity will make bigger teams interested in you and so on, kind of like a story mode.

2. Create a Team, so you can make your own team with its own kit and its own stadium etc.

4. In manager mode in 08 if you start as a small team you obviously will have a small stadium, but no matter how much you upgrade your stadium it never gets bigger or looks any better.

5. When playing ranked matches and about to win the other person on then other team quits, and therefore the win is not counted, if the other person quits you should automatically get the win.

i think harry below has made comments that are spot on. i think fifa shoud include all of them ideas and also add an in depth edit mode that includes :
-boot editor/ be able to change colours of all the boots on the game including the licensed ones/ also be able to build a boot from scratch where you draw every shape and logo and can place them where ever u want on the boot and also have the ability to choose every colour of every part of the boot.
-be able to edit players hair cuts and physiques
-stadium editor/ colours shapes of nets sizes and shapes of square on hexagon etc. depth of the nets/ pitch graind which is already in the game bravo. side boards around the pitch. colours of seats and also have the ablity to download boots kits stadiums etc from xbox or ps3 live
-fully custamize players apperence/ long tape (ronaldo, torres etc)/ short long medium lenght of untucked shirts/ lenght of sleeves long halfway (like c.ronaldo) short/ socks down to shins ,below knee, over kneew(like henry)/neck warmers like the roma team and kaka/ choose headbands and hair cuts.

and i think by adding an in depth edit mode it would make fifa the most realistic football game ever. because fifa will improve the graphics although they are already phenomenol and by adding an in depth edit mode and speed up the gameplay and close control and also things like running fast and doing skill. better shots like harry said. fifa will be the best GAME in the world not just football game. and if fifa succeed in doing this we will all be sayin "pro evolution what?"

-much more accurate and powerfull shooting. Make it more similar to pro evo
-slighly faster gameplay and faster close ball control
-better response times from the controller to the players

I have to say that with Fifa 08 on the next generation consoles, EA has made a huge improvement on earlier versions in regards to game play and ball physics.

DO NOT CHANGE THE GAME PLAY ITS GREAT !!!

A couple of things so I would like to see:

1.) Full control of the goal keeper in the final minutes of the game to make him come into the opponents box on standards.
2.) Players than run towards the ball when a pass is played and not just wait there
3.)Trophy and medal hand outs in Tournament Mode
4.) Bring back the Australian and New Zealand Online stats in the leader board on XBOX 360
5.) Changing weather conditions....PLEASE :-)
6.) Instant replay saves in any game (online, 2 player Tournament, etc ) onto the hard drive of your XBOX360 before uploading it to easportsworld.
7.) A practice mode with the whole team instead of just one player in the arena.
8.) Corner Kick practice; and free kick practice with a defending wall :-) would be nice


But hey its a great game so far so keep it up!! I am sure you can do even better.

-Create indoor arena for trainig with grass.
-Before the game train.

*Improve animations and graphics specially for the crowd, player celebrations, stadium pitch, player movements
*Add more weather conditions
*Add realistic chants (including Liverpool's "You'll Never Walk Alone", Barca's anthem,)
UEFA Champions League anthem.
*More Stadiums (Specially Boca Juniors' Bombonera Stadium & Santiago Bernabeu)
*Realistic Scoreboards (ESPN, SKY SPORTS, FOX, etc.)
*Put Clive Tyldesley as the main narrator once again [PS3] (but make commentary a bit more exciting specially in goal scoring opportunities), or just simply make the commentary more exciting.

-Create your own Mascot.

A Celebration where your player scores the winner in stoppage time and runs to the crowd throwing of his top..

How about more celebrations where captains lift trophies on platforms..make it look like a real achievement when winning a trophy or league

you could make the manager mode better by letting good enough managers go international, also make the rivalry between clubs and managers more realistic with videos and comments

Manumission is right about the stupid system of games being scheduled on the same day. It's obviously EA's way of making you use your squad but if they made the team chemistry and the player growth AND players' rating work properly, instead of using them to mislead you, we might have a game we could play. As it is, and I know I'm banging on about this, it's a really unenjoyable experience for most of the games in management mode. It's like they don't care about single players - they just want to sell to kids who want to pretend to be ronaldo and to get into online play which will presumably end up an extra source of revenue - I even read a quote from one of their blowhard game designers about how they weren't planning an equivalent to PES Master League - what the hell is the manager mode then?
And whoever said "more realistic gameplay" should say more, too - if the games ever going to improve (and it could do, when it plays well and not just when you're winning - it's really good. Far better than the competition, it's just that most of the time no amount of skill will give you satisfaction. As it stands, I've been playing it since the 05 version, and it's really annoying if you want to play a football game to find one that just DOESN'T LET YOU PLAY. There's no skill if it makes players consistently lose the ball the moment they win it in a tackle. There's no skill if the moment you turn your back to shield the ball, an opponent just passes through your player and takes the ball.

I really wish people on this site would pay some attention to talking about gameplay instead of going on and on about wanting more and more leagues and more and more types of football boots. I've plkayed the eircom league becasue I live in Ireland and go to eircom league games, and I've given up after three games because it's so plodding and unenjoyable. And I've played ten seasons with a prem team and frankl;y the only difference is that its less about playing in treacle and more about bambi on ice.

Of course, the real problem is that they haven't managed to get the CPU AI to work, so every team playes exactly the same, and the only way to make it seem like a competition is to restrict what you can do from game to game. I've said it before - if we wanted to play a game where we couldn't control the players, we'd play a management sim. What does anyone else think? I despair when I read that people think the game would be better if you could see the ref.

OHHH one more thing, you guys need more clubs in the international section... How is Colombia not there and far worse teams are??? Im not gonna say any names, hahaha, but seriously....

Hey fifa producers and executives, I have to say I really admire what you guys have done with the game so far (esp. fifa 08). However, there is always room for improvement. Here are some of my ideas that would bring this game even closer to perfection and even more entertaining to play:
- more leagues (especially from south america)
- training mode ( for free kicks, set plays, corners, tricks, etc.)
- a reporting engine or something for ONLINE CHEATERS
- create a stadium sounds awesome
- of course we will always want better Graphics
- 5 v 5 Ranked games (or 4 v 4, 6 v 6, whatever)
- and finally funner challenges, cuz frankly for 08 after the 1st or 2nd set they were all hard as heck or simply boring...
Last, but not least, OMG, a huge problem I have is when in manager mode i end up with less than 18 players on my squad and i am forced to FORFEIT games!! First of all, you only need 11 players to play a game and you're not going to make more than 3 subs anyways so that gives a total of 14 players per game. I keep a limited amount of players to minimize the cost of player wages, and this time I had 19 on my squad. All of a sudden, two of my players get injured a game apart from each other and I end up with 17 players on my squad. I have to FORFEIT and end my perfect season. Seriously, that should be fixed because it doesn't make any sense. That's all I have to say, but listen to my ideas, I'm sure they will be helpful.

I use Charlton a lot, even after I won the ECC champion, the company still only give me $200,000 each season.

i think the wii version of Fifa 08 is great but could do with some improvements.
1) manager mode
2) be a pro mode
3) have more stadiums e.g. (walkers stadium, molineux, Britannia etc.)
4) include more leagues e.g. (Hungarian, Greek, Iranian)
5) change names of cups e.g. (English league cup --- Carling cup)
6) have more automatic squad updates
7) if a player not currently in the game joins a squad who are in the game the player should be made and included in the next squad update (e.g. zolt lackzo joined Leicester city January but Hungarian league is not in Fifa 08)
8) be able to play music from a memory card inserted into the wii

also put in the greek league as this league is so underistimated and is not recognized for its full potential. I also think that Ac Milan plays are overated in this game and also think tottenham, man city, adelaide united(Hyundai a-league) and Olimpiakos are underated!!!! PLEASE FIX THAT, AS ADELAIDE UNITED AND OLIMPIAKOS ARE THE MOST SUCCESSFUL TEAMS IN THEIR LEAGUES

I bought FIFA 08 a couple of days ago.. As i was playing I scored a wonderful goal and ofcourse I wanted to Save the Replay like I could in the previous FIFA games.. But this function were no longer available! I got really pissed... I think this is A MUST HAVE FUNCTION IN FIFA GAMES!!!

3 training in career mode as you can play.
4 futsal
5 manager for internasional team
6 be a pro should be longer than one season and you can be transferd if a club want you or if the club don`t want you.
7 world cup, euro cup, uefa cup, champions league, africa nation cup, and other internasional cups
8 stadium creator
9 richer clubs
10 more really shoes, like nike mercurial vapor II sl and predator, and many others
11 better yout scouts

since i was 5 i have evry fifa so the things i would like 2 see and im sure other people would are

make the gameplay reaky realistic for example it slows down when the defence have got it and speeds up as it gets up dah pitch

include all national teams like in "fife world cup germany 2006" and include ladder mode like in the old games it was fun

I think the teams should be able to train befor matches and make the skills more realistic for example even john terry can do the flip flap.And call the cups the real names eg: uefa champions league insteed of ecc and carling cup insteed of enlish cup and make it so whateva sponser you change to at the end of the season it shows on the players shirts

Hey Can You please add the ability to play as one player the whole match and see through his eyes so its more realistic and the ability to upload your picture to the game

in 08, when the ball hits the back of the net, it just sags down in the net. the ball should be rebounding hard off the net, which would be more realistic.
also there are a few player name glitches in 08. eg. the commentator refers to obefemi martins as geremi. and the crowds should wear home team colours
