Your Ideas for FIFA 09

Please add Teofilo "Nene" Cubillas in the Classic XI. Also, add the Peruvian League or the following teams Universitario, Universidad San Martin, Cienciano, Sporting Cristal and Alianza Lima. It would be great to have a preset tournament of Copa Libertadores.

There are no international cups for teams from the americas in past versions of FIFA. It would be great if at least you could include SuperLiga which is the tournament that 4 MLS teams play against for Mexican teams.
Copa Libertadores could also be a great improvement but since FIFA only has the Mexican and Brazilian leagues I know this could be hard to achieve.
There are 4 major International cups in the americas (Concacaf Champions League, SuperLiga, Copa Sudamericana and Copa Libertadores) and you should really consider on adding at least one (as I said, SuperLiga).
Also the argentinian league and mexican primera "a" would be great league additions for the next FIFA.
It is really boring to play season with mexican, brazilian or teams since there are no international competitions programmed and there is no promotion division. You really should consider this.
Also, if you add any international competitions, or in ECC, the winner should be able to play the Clubs World Cup... that would add even more to the game.

1. In manager mode leagues with a salary cap eg. the australian a-league should have it.
2. During a game you can press start and go to the menu and tell your subs to warm up behind the goals and you can see them running over and doing stretches etc. and then it can say if there warmed up enough to go on or something like that.
3. In Manager Mode, the sponsor you signed with goes on your shirts and depending on what country your clubs in you should be able to sign a local sponsor eg.
England - British Airways
Australia - Qantas
4. More Premier League stadiums and other big European leagues.
5. J-League (Japan)
6. Asian Champions League somehow? and having to qualify for it in manager mode
7. World Cup every four years so your players who are playing for their country are unavailable for your club in manager mode
8. National Team Manager ?
9. Naming the English League Cup the Carling Cup or whoever the sponsor is that year and that goes for every countries league cup and calling the UEFA Champions League instead of EFA because i sometimes get confused between EFA and ECC or something like that. ECC's Uefa Cup?
10. If you qualify for a tournament or join a new league before you start theres a brief description of the tournament.

12. Referees making occasional wrong calls, you can adjust it in the options menu and how often you want it to occur because all referees make mistakes during a game.
13. Being able to see the referee and assistant referees and also seeing the 4th official holding up the board for added time or if the games still being played whilst he does this just get him near the side line so if you go close to the line you can see him
14. Stretchers and trainers running out to help a player
15. Coaches getting angry on the sidelines when a call doesnt go there way or the referee makes a wrong decision
16. The crowd gets louder and starts chanting at the referee when there are bad calls or if they dont agree
17. Warm up drills before the game, so you can go through a menu and tell them what to do and maybe even warm downs after a game.

i think they should have more national teams.also the comentarist should be able to say the created player's name.like in fifa 2005 you should be able where to hit the ball for a more accurate kick.you should be able to kick low and hard kick.there should be more music like in fifa street 2 music that pump you up.in maneger mode when you tranfer a player they should have a video with the new player holding the team's jersey up and there should be more news paper articles.also you should be able to schudle the practices for extra expirience points. when you created a player you should be able to start off around a 70 avarege.you should be able to where head bands

Okay the first off, i think the graphics and the cosmetics of the game are good, really good (they dont need to be made better) the thing that annoys me heaps is the game play! I have the game on xbox 360 and it just sucks in terms of game play. There are soooooooo many glitches in the game.
GAMEPLAY----------------------
Firstly players dont run to the ball when passed. It always happens when a player passes to another player, they just stand there, and even after trying to move that player towards the ball nothing happens and an opposition player can easily steal the ball! Like seriously in real life that doesnt happen, everyone is aware where the ball is.
Another thing, players dont react to other players or the ball realisitically. they just stand there looking like drones
Next, there have been several times when im trying to defend and there is, no s*** about 5 defenders on this one person with the ball, and none of them are even able to touch the ball, and some how the person with the ball pulls off a shot and it goes it! WTF? that doesnt happen in real life!!!
The weather really needs to play apart in the game, because it does in real life!
The crowd needs to get more involved, with sideline crowds drumming against the signs, and going in your face to the players!
The players need better celebrations...randomised...they should go to the crowd for it!
The crowd should be wearing the jerseys of the home team and some of the away team!
the ability to rearrange formations customly DURING the match

Ability to see manager in the technical zone!
ability to make calls as a manager to shift players positions and certain things for that players, without going into the menu system, should be able to quickly select the manager and select some commands

Transfer market is 'real time' as in if there are 4 weeks in the transfer market, you should be able to do stuff every day of that transfer market
Bring back custom teams, but if you do, you should be able to make the jerseys look more real, have the main sponsor displayed on the jersey somewhere, have the choice or earn the ability to have a jersey manufacturuer such as adidas etc, have the team logo on the jersey
the Stadiums are good so far, but if you do custom teams, should be able to have custom stadiums (ie build and design your own)
have banners and flags in the crowd
ability to have training sessions with players, where they might get injured
better detail in injury time and affect on player
pre-season games and trials like in pc version
newspaper reports with more interaction with the media

PDA style manager mode (not crappy old menu system)

i think if you do a good job on manager mode you should get offers from other clubs to coach them.also every four years you should be able to play a world cup.

I think that there should be mode that allows you to take a player from a young age and then through their whole career. Also some players here in the US should be higher ranked. People really underestimate American players and are prejudice to them. They all just believe them to be poor skilled.

in the arena wen its loading u should be able to change to a stadium like wembley or nou camp

on an a match were u are going to win the leage or summit if u win the fans runs on the pitch

i think you should introduce liga I from Romania....or Steaua Bucharest ,Zannit st petersburg, shaktar donetk,dinamo kyev, cska moskva, Partizan Belgrade,Red Star Belgrade, Rapid Bucharest , Dinamo Bucharest !!

You have to include the Portuguese Liga de Honra (2nd Division)

There should be a camera view to see the back of the player you control,
and when you pass it should follow the ball.

They Should Also Introduce 1080p HD to Fifa Rather than running it on 720p.

They should also let us create players and add them to teams on quick game,
rather than just manager mode and it should be easier to play online against one certain player.

The home side doesn't always get the ball to start with... maybe a flip of the coin?

- Add russian clubs such as Zenit, CSKA, Spartak
- Add Dynamo Zagreb, Dynamo Kiev, Shaktar
- Add coutnries Ghana, Ivory Coast, Slovakia n Netherlands
- Linesman, referees, manager n subs warmin up - make them visible
- Make players movements more fluid e.g. make it like arsenal n man u in real life with the way they interchange positions n pass n move quickly
- More fan chants, specific individual celebrations e,g, oba martins, nani, k jones backflips, slide along knees n be able 2 run round the back off the goal
- Specific shooting style e.g. ronaldo's free kicks n pens when he checks durin the run up
- EFA n ECC changed to UEFA Cup n Champs League
- More range of boots e.g. red, orange n black/blue vapours (ronaldo who wore both n babel n drogba wear black/blue ones) black n white versions of predators (gerrard black n ballack white ones), white nike laser (ones tht torres wears), black n white adidas ones (alonso wears black ones dunno who wears white ones cant think), black pumas tht crouch wears, white pumas tht eto'o n anelka wear available 2 unlock
- When u edit a player to add ankle tape give the option of havin tape from boot 2 the ankle e.g. ronaldo, torres and a small amount of tape half way up the leg like gallas n alonso
- Aggressive player reactions 2 bad decisions, crowdin the ref coz it does happen n the idea is 2 make it realistic
- Shirt pull, push in the back n dive features, put arms around players like they do when ur markin somebody at corners
- When you knock the ball past the keeper n he dives 4 the ball but smashes in2 u, u shud actually get a pen n dependin on situation the keeper shud get sent off
- Make tricks more fluid n specific tricks for players such as ronaldo, ronaldinho
- Definately more stadiums (villa park, city of man, white hart lane, bernabeou, ramon sanchez pizjuan n many more shud b added)
- Commentators say every name n shud say created players name
- Make created players able to perform tricks - they cant even fake 2 pass
- More phrases n expressions from commentators e.g. when u jus skinned a player wit a trick or sumin, they shud react like they do in real life
- When u do skin a player, the fans shud react as well like they do
- Animated managers when bad decisions made
- Player confrontations n manager confrontations
- Defenders go up 4 corners n freekicks e.g. carragher n skrtel go in2 box instead of standin on the edge where players like alonso shud b waitin 4 the volley
- Fans react to close shots like hittin the bar n players shud put hands 2 head or sumin
- Loud noise when it hits bar like in real life
- Louder n improved atmosphere 4 big/important matches such as semi finals/finals or derby matches
- Players suffer from pressure such as takin a pen in cup final
- Now n again players make mistakes e.g. controllin the ball - ball slips under foot
- Goalies make mistakes such as droppin the ball when catchin, bad parries, bad kicks, bad bounce tht takes them by surprise
- Players make lung burstin runs like they do in real life e.g. gerrard, fabregas
- When players score screamers or curl the ball in top corner, the goalie doesnt even attempt to save it, they just stand motionless watchin the ball sail into the net
- 1 major things is tht players such as ronaldo, torres, messi r so much faster then ne1 else but in FIFA 08 players like darren moore can catch up wit torres i mean come on darren moore!
- Real nets (man city n newcastle)
- Give players in the championship the boots they wear instead of them all havin black boots
- When ur playin a really improtant game like cup final/semi final, local derby or games between 'big 4' n u score a last minute winner/equalizer u shud b able 2 c the coaches run round like mad like they do in real life e.g. chelsea coaches in mid-week (lucky gits)
- Be able to run wit the ball n score goals like messi did against getafe when he beat 6 players rounded the goalie n scored

Not alot then but if the majority of this was made possible it wud absolutely smash Pro-Evo but u really gotta add the teams n countries especially Holland as they got so many quality players but there never licensed - so annoyin

There should be more leagues e.g. 1st division 2nd division and 3rd division in scotland and many other countries.Some of the players in fifa 08 look nothing like what there supposed to look like some are in great detail while some just look like a player who's just been randomly picked so you should make some players look more realistic e.g. kris boyd,babel and others.More cups e.g.Cis cup for scotland.More european cups e.g.Champions league and uefa cup.You should be able to play as international teams and international cups e.g. euro cup and world cup.And like what olly said there should be junior league.And when your in a match you never see the referee he only suddenly appears when your getting fouled or getting booked.It's a great game but it just needs a few extra things and please put it on ps2 not just leave it all for xbox 360 and ps3 if you put all of this on the next fifa game I would pay £40 for the game on ps2.

most of you guys dont even know what your talking about because u dont have next gen consoles most of the things that people said with a playstation 2 are already in fifa 08 on the next gen consoles!

- Add lower league’s and team’s (League’s: Blue Square Premier, Blue Square South, Blue Square North. Teams in Leagues: Bath City, Havant & Waterlooville ect)

- Be able to create stadiums

- futsal

- maybe womens football

- Show the referee and officials

- Add more africian teams (The Gambia, Egypt ect)

- Be able to create a team (PS3)

- Youth and reserve teams (manager mode)

- Edit shirts (like sponsers, colour, designs eg hoops, vertical lines, ect) (Manager Mode Only) (Because in 20 years you dont expect to see the same Manchester united or Arsenal shirt like today)

- Be A Pro Season

- Put legends like Pele, Zidane, Cryff, Maradona, Gorden Banks to Classic XI

- Be able to swap shirts after match

- Have Mascotts (also make them)

- Design your own boots

- Bring Goalkeepers up late for corners (hold triangle before corner)

- Be able to do training

- Bring back visual Sim to manager mode

- Be an International manager (manager mode)

- Get real sponsers like AIG, Emerates, Carling, BWIN ect

- Make free-kicks easier

- When you start manager mode, you should choose a real manager (Jose Mourinho, Sir Alex Fergison ect) or make your own manager. And in games, when the ball goes off you can see the manager (like on Euro 2008 game)

- On the cover put like the top 10 players of the year

4. More responsive trick controls, if I am pressing the right controls for a move, I want my player to do that move, not some other move.
5. Schedules, Why do you have to play an FA Cup match the same day you have to play a league match? It's not realistic. Return legs should happen as well.

8. WEATHER: It's not sunny every day in Europe.
9. Weather per match: eg. I don't want to play a Champions League (ECC) match in daylight, that isn't realistic.
10. Be able to edit a player in Manager Mode, or when you make edits make it for the entire game, so when you make the changes, the changes then appear in Manager Mode. More realistic faces on everyone!

i like the shooting system euro 2008, that should be fifa 09. more stadiums. weather conditions. also in euro 08 you have to work up the ladder in teams like from B team to full quad, and along the way you unlock things like boots. this is a good idea and its saves us having to save up loads of points. the golies still are a bit dodgey. and teams who are not a so called big club should not have to all play at the same crap stadium. more boots, kits, balls. and the manual celerbration on euro 08 is class, but we need more options to celebrate. i think fifa 08 is better than pro evo 2008. but only this year on a 360

All countries involved in the upcoming Confederation Cup should be in Fifa 09. That means Egypt and Iraq as well.

I think that you should make referees on the field and off the field. You should also provide more music, more shirt designs for when creating teams, more hair designs...you should also givce more options for the pro-season stuff...like starting off junior and advancing to captain and to new teas....new countries for the world cup...THIS MEANS ALL INCLUDING ALL THE COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD......thanks

i think you should start off as a player for like say sunderland youth club and like play as in real life say like you be ya own player and name ya player and make ya own player up and start off as a young football star on a reserves for a big team and thn try work ya way up to the proper teams like sunderland arsenal chelsea and that and the free kicks should be more like fifa 04 they were much more better and easyer and you should be able to make freinds with the big players like ronaldo messi ronaldinhio and so on this would be amazin and you would get alot more people buying the game also you should bring it out on ps2 aswell

goalkeepers should be able to take freekicks as well like rogerio ceni on sao paulo fc.
and the weather should have some sort of effect on players, like hot weather tires players more, rainy weather makes tackles more intense and makes the ball move more quickly, snow and icey weather makes it harder to grip the grass. banners in the crowds, flares, chants between rivals. african asian and south american teams. choosing which boots to use for the games weather. sponsors for boots for players in manager mode, for example you create your player he gets contracts from sponsors across the world.

i think you should be able to create teams, jerseys, stadiums, like in the madden games. the tactics should actually help the team, create plays. more emotion during stopped action, more taunts and chants. deeking should be more realistic, goalkeepers should be more aggresive and harder to score on. have better game view, as if in a real game, different angles during game play. during manager mode there should be junior teams, that way if u cant sign players and u want a short list of players on your team u can bring up future stars from the junior squad. also being able to control your team like in the pc game ( football manager ). i also think that you should be able to control international teams in manager mode, and have proposals from teams to join their squad not easily choose a team to join like ac milan right from the start. also actually have practice mode that u have to do throughout the week, that way it makes manager mode alot more active, its not jus game after game, u also have practices. and international tournaments. free kicks should look more realistic curved shots. goalkeepers should have more realistic movements for example 1 on 1 , the player could deek out the goalkeeper or the goalkeeper can rush the player and cause a penalty or save it. you should also be able to save goals or anything you want so that you can watch it again.

first of all id like to say that fifa 08 was pretty good this year and i hope that it improves and continues for the next edition.
first thing that has to be improved is the goal keeper far to predictable and prone to errors very easily - faster game play more like the uefa euro game were the game play is faster. the final pass in the game could be better and this would be good for the whole game. for crowd reaction like going mental when scoring in a big game and for reaction from the touchline from the manager and players. maybe slightly better graphics aswell. manager mode could be improved as it very similar to other fifa editions , for example euro championships and world cups would be good edition and better transfer window. also staduims my team is Rangers and it would good if it can be put into to the next edition , i am probably the same as any other football fan wanting there teams staduim in the game and this would be an enjoyment to the player of the game, so please put ibrox staduim in and also put in a few Rangers songs like follow follow as when i was playing Rangers in a neutal game , the rivals songs would play and it could be a bit annoying even though i wasnt playing the rivals.
online play was quite good and enjoyable with many game modes. roll on fifa 09

Make it like UEFA Euro 2008 (gameplay wise) its like a mixture of pro evo and fifa 08 which is brill.
Try and get IBROX stadium in it as well please. When it is a old firm (celtic vs rangers) have the crowd
chant "BIG JOCK KNEW". P.s sort of the keepers of fifa o8 there a joke always to far out therefore
chips are easily scored ect

on manager mode u guys should let the manager handle a international team . For instance if the manager is good he should handle the international team from where hes from. instead of only calling the players from ur team, u could also manage the international team you guys should definetly do this because it would make the mode so much fun. Also you guys should let transfer period last all season so that we could make money so that we could buy a player instead of waiting along time until transfer period comes again. please think of at least doing something simiiar to this, u guys would make the game a 20 out of 10

17) When there is a player pass from the corner to a player that stay ´close to the goal and if he ready to shoot and miss so that should be black mudd on the pitch!
18) The Players Kit/Hair should be water on their hair and kit, and the pitch of course and the fans must wair raincostumes when its rain in fifa 09! :P

u should be able to attack the other players if they don't give you the all or attack the ref if the decision doesn't go your way

i think that referees and linesman should actually be seen when you are playing and you should be able to fight with your opponents

i know it would be difficult but they should bring back the indoor game like they had in FIFA 98 for ps2. that was so much fun. it was almost like having two games for one. also i would just say continue to work on the A.I. it keeps getting better every year but there are still times when you've got like a 2 on 1 and your teammate makes a horrible run.

I think that is good idea the game mode "Be a pro" to be more then just a 1 season - 10 season is good or until 40 age. And it has to have a transfer offers

I would realylike to see the game be more realistic with the surroundings. By that, I"m talking about having the center ref run around out there, have you're side judges carrying the flags and actual look as if they are judging for offsides. Make them like the real refs would do in a game. Also, it would be cool to see the reserves and the managers pacing the sideline and interaction on the bench. Maybe once you set for a sub to go in, show him warming up or waiting at the center line to go in. Just some thought on what I think the game needs to be more realsitic. But you guys are doing a great job. Keep it up!
