how about different cutsences, like when a throwing is taken you see the player shouting and players pushing, and when you get a player down injured you see the medics run on the pitch with there equipment or the other manager shouting, you see players get treated, keepers geting there wallready, players swap shirts after games etc etc.. you can tackle the keeper again, keepers handballing out of area, more cards shown to keepers, also when you take a free kick there should be different varities off hiting them ball, where you hit it, more handball appeals and when the ball hits a player you should here them make a noise and go down or something, and players and keepers can hurt them selves on the post, or during training, and you should be able to make a half time team talk in the changing room.
more press and television specualtion other managers taunting you just like in real life, and players who like to party turn up tired, i think there should also be M.O.T.D highlights, goal of the month- season, player of the season-month-year, man of the match and more high lights and replays, see the commentators before the game in the box and during half time after the team talk giving there views. i also think that you should put more players on the frount cover or just use team crest's because there are too many good players out there to fit on the cover!

How about giving the players there own intelligence, as in you get players chasing back if they lose the ball, or you get players who get really moody if things aren't going there own way and just end up being lazy, or some players who can't play any more making a signal to be sub'd, when your winning you get the players who keep the ball by the corner flag to waist time.
When you play a rival team e.g. chelsea v leeds etc you get the bitter rivalries between the two teams, players lunging in etc so you can see and hear the rivalries.
make the commentary crisper, maybe giving information about players as well as commentating make the fans more realistic, if your team is losing you get booed at half time they leave the stadium near the end, half empty stadiums if your not doing well, more songs, maybe the odd pitch invasion!! and when you score you can run in the crowd, you control how you celebrate either telling the opposing fans to shh, or sliding across the pitch.
when you win a cup you see the match officials bring the little platform out where you stand and watch them get there medals, while the other team are crying and kicking the turf. more bust ups with the referee and players, like if they continue to agree they get a card etc, how about being yellow carded for diving and the referee making mistakes and linesmen helping make the decision.
realistic effects sweat, blood and breath players having to go off to be treated for cuts etc.

Please put in fifa 08 the romanian championship we have a great team: Fc Steaua who this year was participing in the champions league grupes and last year they played in the semi-finals ...also Dinamo is a good team and we have good teams in the Liga I ...we deserved this ...also think to HAGI who was a great player ,and now i want to tell you about STEAUA who win the champion league final in 1986 that was a great win and Nicolae Dica who is plaing at Steaua is nominalized in the 10 player of champions league this year.I know my english is not so good but i want very much to FiFA 08 have the Romanian championship!!!!

After reading through a few of the comments I saw someone suggested including diving... I hadn't thought of it but it's a great idea. A dive button in which the quality of your dive determined it's success/failure? Now that's a good suggestion.

ALSO FIFA SHOULD HAVE A GOALKEEPING MODE OR SOMETHING.

PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!! I love the games you've created as much as the game itself, so please forgive me if I ramble or sound over-critical. Fifa 07 for the xbox was quicker and more intuitive than that of the 360.
That being said, I'd like most to see career statistics tracked for the length of a players career in manager/franchise modes. This really seems like it would be simple to include, and I've missed it greatly.
There are not a great variety of moves (step-over, etc.) that you can perform in the 360 version either, which stales the gameplay over time, though I'm sure that you've already heard about it by now.
Injuries seem to play a larger role in team management in real life, however playing with a constantly injured team over a franchise would get old quickly so a balance must be found.
Manager mode should last for more potential years, and the inclusion of an optional xbox live roster update in franchise mode would be fantastic, though I'm not sure how if it could be done.
3rd, 4th or even "throwback" kits for top teams seem a must, as well as greater variety of accessories. Perhaps stadium upgrades could even include a variety of nets, sideline activities during gameplay/etc.
Shooting from a position other than straight on is very difficult in the 360 version as well because strong shots along the ground are impossible to execute (as opposed to airborne shots), and breakaways are too difficult to finish. A great number of goals in the real matches skip along the ground, which is impossible to do in the game, and breakaways tend to end up as goals in real life in greater percentages than in the game.
I personally would much rather have more leagues or divisions of currently included leagues as opposed to more national teams, but that's just me.
The unlocking method in the 360 (challenge mode) is horrible, and should be replaced with the xbox unlocking method. No one wants to play the game for 10 hours trying to get 6 goals with a forward to unlock something. Unlockable pictures are also worthless.
And think about this possibility.... CELEBRATIONS THAT ARE CONTROLLED BY THE PLAYER! For example, a button could correspond to an action such as leap, punch fist in air, slide along the ground, point at fans, jump onto teammate, perform team specific celebrations (manchester united salute), etc... the player could control the direction the scorer ran and what they did when they got there ala Madden football touchdowns. The possibilities of this are truly endless.
I'm sure that fan violence, fighting, streakers, etc. are not big on EA's list of things to include, but they are a part of the game and it would definitely be interesting to see them included somehow.
Weather effects must be improved upon in the 360 version.
Fan animations also could be improved upon greatly... comparing this game to MLB 2k7 is like night and day. they don't have to be animated individually, but if their actions are going to be mapped together, the fans should at least begin their movements at different time intervals to increase the realism, or perhaps have various stances held longer in different characters to increase the illusion of independent movement.
The stadium club mode in MLB 2k7 would be nice to have a version of for FIFA as well, with hall of fame, statistics, etc.
Curve on freekicks/shots seems like it must be improved.
The faces of the players could definitely be improved upon... I know they can't all be realistic, but the realistic ones should be more so and the accuracy of the generic ones should be closer. For example... Michael Carrick doesn't look like Boromir from lord of the rings last time I checked.
There are quite a few more ways the game could be improved, but I'll leave you to it. I'll probably daydream about talking to the development team of fifa 08 all day tomorrow while I'm at work. Better than thinking about work, though.

Make the fans and the soccer players more real. Also, make the goal keapers get yellow or red cards and more penaties or free shots.

The FIFA 08 it would be great if the referee appear in the match. Because it´s only appear when you do a faul or things like that.

I think that Fifa 2008 must have these things:
- All the FIFAS are interactive but this one must be more interactive than the others
- When you play a CUP or CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, there must be the date and day
- More moves, habilities, and secret players
- I like what AGUSTIN said about the fan coming in the middle of the game xD (because it happens in real life)
- That more players increase there level, because most of the players dont pass from level 95, only a few are 96, 97, 98 and 99
- The Argentinian league must be in FIFA 2008
- When playing there should be more options and acts, like if the referee says something and you dont do it you get yellow card. Or if playing and you have to do a FAIR PLAY after this move you should get the ball back. Or when playing (This one if very difficult that the creators make it beacuse it induces to violence :P) if get punched and there is a fight the game should be suspended, and the players that fighted should be suspended or penalized, etc...
- All countries teams (For Example. Egypt, Venezuela, Canada, Colombia, etc...)
- Interact with the players/coachs/ of your team, other teams...
- The amount of the budget has to be like real life (For Example. If Manchester United is the richest team of all clubs, the amount of the budget should be the biggest)
- Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Robinho must be the players to be at the cover on FIFA 2008.
- The most important thing of all, If I manage a team and for any reason I dont want to continue in this club. I go and manage another team, and when the season is over and I want to manage the first team I managed, I cant so you should fix this problem. So if anybody wants to manage the first team, be welcome to do it.
(For those who didnt understand. If I manage the Real Madrid, after 3 seasons I quit, and I go and manage Chelsea, when the season is over (with Chelsea) and I want to manage again the Real Madrid I cant, so this should be fix. got it?)

Bring back the tricks, have a referee runnig up and down the pitch. intentional fouls ( elbows, pulling shirts, that kind of stuff) bring back the ability to tackel the keeper; its not needed but just fun from times to times, quick freekicks, hands, if someone takes to much time to take a freekick or goalkick give him a yellow card. The ability to make your own team with fully custimizable outfits ( color, logo, sponsors) , and last but not least; the live update of rosters with xbox live cause now ronaldo is still playing for ral madrid i had to transfer him myself

In Manager Mode, you should be able to coach national teams once your manager rating has reached a certain level. You would be in charge of friendlies throughout the year, international competitions, and of course, the World Cup.

As i have read many of the previous posts i have noticed that iran was one of the biggest topics of all. Adding more of the Iranian culture to the game would be tremondously great and recieve many endorsements as well. Many Middle Eastern countries would be excited to buy this game with more Iranian features and such. Probably getting people introduced to Iranian players that have affected iranian soccer history such as Ali Daei. NOt only Middle Eastern countries would buy this buy so would all Islamic countries as well. And think about this...America and the West are very curious about Iran and the Middle East, adding this would attract these consumers for intellectual pleasure as well. TRUST ME, IF LOTS IRANIAN FEATURES WERE ADDED TO THE GAME IT WOULD BE HUGE!!!

I Want to see in a FIFA 08 game is to treat all the teams for respect, MLS needs all of the stadiums in the game, also all the calls from the referee for offside are messed up, we would need to see the referee being real fair and bloody honest about his calls. I want to see another FIFA street game on all the next-gen games. I want to see more other teams step up to FIFA 08, the reason some of the teams are not popular because they are too scared to step up to be popular and a good hero for the game. It is not just MLS that needs the stadiums it is all of the soccer stadiums in the world.

Firstly i think the game needs 2 b detailed in every aspect.. the crowd the ref the managers, the noise on the pitch EVERYTHING
secondly the suggestion of the 11v11 that i read is good also.
however i as i am a fifa fan i hate how the competition between fifa and pro is becomin closer every year.. fifa needs 2 look at the game at a different angle.. improve the game 2 the next level, both 06 n 07 have been the same in my opinion

it is better to create a connection between fifa2008 and fifa manager 2008 like football fusion.also create all the national teams including holland.in addition let us have the full control over the youth in their teams like ajax ,and training them in order to improve their skills to choose the best possible national youth teams and to have the full control play their own international competitions such as world cup under 17and21.finally enable us to play the international games and the qualification matches to big competitions including holland national team please,along with national leagues ,

the front cover of FIFA 08 should be the best players from each continent standing next to eachother like so...
Cristiano Ronaldo in the middle from Europe(and also because hes the best player in the world) and on his sides should be Kaka representing the America's, Samuel Eto'o from Africa and Ali Karimi representing Asia.
I think on the XBOX 360 version u should add skills and tricks and maybe bring back the first touch system from FIFA 2004. FIFA 07 on 360 is amazing but it will be even better with those added to it.

I think they should have quick sim'd reserve leagues running in manager mode.
They should also include the proper youth teams of all premier (1st division) clubs.
Maybe in manager mode you could be able to influence your team more by selecting a style of play to practice i.e. (passing game- players passing receives a bonus in expected growth.
Fee kicks could be more customisable, such as long lay offs.
Finesse shots should be harder to pull off, but should be made better(e.g. more curl on the ball etc.)

i think you should make it so when a team wins a cup you see them be presented medals and the cup intead of on fifa 07 were you are just told and congratulated that your team has won the cup. you should not make a mode were you take control of 1 player and guide him through his career cos that would ruin it. more leagues and international teams too.

Well I'm thik FIFA should make an effort and try to do A MORE REALISTIC GAME, like in real life, a more fluent game, not more weird scenes, the referee should be like the players and have more participation in the match, the Argentinian League, not only The Superclasico, add real movements, make different kinds of plays, more freedom for the players, etc etc etc

the best thing fifa has are player's motion, they way they kick the ball. It's so real. That why i play fifa than pes. You should make them even more smooth! It would be great if you follow example of madden nfl 06, where players said EA SPORTS ITS IN THE GAME.

Choose your own formations by clicking and moving players in to different positions rather than the set 10 or whatever that is available in FIFA 07

As well as players getting injured after a bad tackle i think it would be more realistic if in addition to the players getting injured following a tackle that they can also pull up injured after pulling a muscle for example which does happen all the time in real life.

I would like to see the Hungarian League - MB1! Not so special or good, but i want it :D.
And why can players run faster with ball than other players on the field? LOL (not think on C. Ronaldo or Lennon - they are really good and fast), and all second class player can shot fantastic top corner goals :D. They can't (not every time)!!!!!!!

Players getting sent off or booked for off the ball incidents. Players pushing or fighting on the pitch after some bad tackles. Could even have them receive further punishment such as 3 game or 5 game bans
