make more stadiums

when u do dribbles and when u juke players, the players should actually act like they got juked and go the opposite direction of where ur going

more tournaments like world cup and champions league
more leagues and more countries
when u create a team, the sponsor that u sign with should go on the front of the jersey
you shud have more control of the wall in free kicks and the goalie
more stadiums to choose from, and create ur own stadium
referees and linesmen are actually on the field
sometimes they should make bad calls
shooting from long range should be cooler
commentary should be better, sometimes there are different commentators and they should say a bunch of new things about players

Okay, I have a few suggestions.
Be a pro. - Give the option to be a keeper. Some of us really wanna try being between the sticks.
Gameplay. - I play Euro2008 and I have to say the gameplay has improved a lot. The weather inclusion from Fifa to Euro was uncanny. There is nothing like sliding that extra few feet and seeing the water come up. I love that. Keep the power bar above the players like in Euro. They help for shooting, and passing, especially when you play with everything manual as I do. Improve first touches. Dont knock on the ball so far if you're sprinting to the ball, be able to control it a little more. Pullbacks and shielding the ball should be easier from the first touch standpoint as well. I've noticed the ability to flick the ball in the air when you're controlling it in Euro, but you should be able to do that to get around someone as well. Make jostling more real. There should be the ability to hold a player who is faster than you and pull them down or back. A few pushes a few shoves and yellows for dives if the ability to dive is included. During a pk situation, keeper shouldn't have such a hard time getting to the upper corners.. they should be able to reach them. In Fifa, you had to stand still and move you're guy to the side in order to hit something away from the top corners. Stop calling it the ECC. Its not been that European Champions Cup for a long time.. its called the Champions League now. We dont need a game dedicated to that tournament either... The inclusion of the club world cup and european super cups. more incentive and money for transfers. more realistic fees in transfer modes and the inclusion of player for player swaps. I read about someone saying players should speak up about wanting to leave or come to the club as well.
National squads and leagues - There is a large latin fanbase of Fifa players in the world... include more teams than mexico and argentina. We know the clasura is one the most appealing tournaments in the world, so why not include the Argentinian leagues and all the teams instead of just boca and river. The Netherlands is an amazing squad... I'm tired of trying to find out which character represents who. There should be no C. Zeeberg for Clarence Seedorf... There are too many big name players throughout the world who are dutch to not really have the licensing agreement for the Oranje national squad... Hop on it.
Formations and runs - Formations should be more variable without having to go into the formation editor screen. It takes way too long. Players need to be more active off the ball in making runs forward. Unless the aggression is turned up, most midfielders wont move forward unless you physically pass the ball around and move each player up. Fifa 07 for xbox (not360) had the player runs coming along better. I gave in to the idea that the engine was still rusty for next gen consoles, but seeing the improvements from Fifa to Euro.. I've completely stopped playing Fifa. The 4-1-2-1-2 is not the most common formation; and not every team uses it. My favorite team is AC Milan, and I know they can't play with that formation because they have no wide players. In the database, the squad formations could maybe be updated upon the formations they used in the previous week? We all know the servers go down once a week for maintenance, so at that time, you could plug those in quickly? Also the cdm shouldn't play so deep and get involved more in the attacks.
Ratings - Personally, I feel some players are over-rated in the game. I dont think anyone except kaka, messi, and cr7 should be over a 90. Players slip through form and injury. Online play should emulate that. I know in Madden they've given squad updates to teams throughout the season based on their play on the field. I think that if one player is doing amazing in real life, they should play with such class in the game or at least online. I like how in Euro they have the star ratings. Bronze is anything from 83 to 85, silver is 85 to 87 and gold is up. It helps determine who should start. Ratings should be affected when a player is playing out of position...eg cr7 shouldn't still be a 90 as a partnered striker. Show me a time Man U ever used him there.. or Portugal?
Set Pieces - What happened to lay-offs and second kickers? Why can't you take a quick free kick in order to catch the defense out of position and not have to boot it all the way up the field for a header in hopes that you'll still have the ball. As a striker on the ball in dead ball spots, you should be able to pick the place you want to hit the ball and apply the spin with the thumbsticks, almost like in a tiger woods golf game. I think this would add to the gameplay and degree of difficulty to make a set piece. Players should be more involved in running and crosses should be able to be tweaked with spin if its a dead ball from a place where you can't go for goal.
Cover - Ronaldinho should no longer be on the cover, nor should rooney. They're both over-rated. The cover should be filled with the players who are the definition of the future in the game; my options would be Cesc Fabregas, Alexandre Pato, and Lionel Messi. They're all attractive looking players for the cover; and they're the youth talent of the world. If 09 is to be the future for Fifa.. at least show the best players who are the future of soccer.

please can you have an individual stadium for just the premier league clubs. therefore the normal clubs have a stadium which is just like the real thing. also transfers need to be appropriate so bentley would be worth £15million this year and as his rating increases so should his transfer value. we also all want to see amazing goals 25yards out not boring little tap ins. also a decent striker one on one will generally score so could his be the case on the game as well please. if kits are like the real things then that would be great and if we can redesign them and the colour of the away kits then it would add to the realism.

they should make all players face look more realistic not just ronaldinho and stars make every players face look like the real players. we pay like 60 dollars for the games so we expect more from each games this game fifa 09 should be better than all games

The introduction of a training mode on the next gen versions of the game would be great. Or, if not a full training mode perhaps an introduction of either like multiplayer Arena. Perhaps the ability to choose the goalkeeper in the Arena or be able to put walls in for the set plays in the Arena for practice.

WE THE PLAYERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO COSTUMIZE ANY TEAM UNIFORM. WE SHOULD ALSO BE ABLE TO SEE THE COACHES. IMPROVE THE SHOTS AND MAKE GOAL KEAPERS HAVE BETTER REACTIONS. I HOPE YOU USE SOME OF MY IDEAS FOR THE PS2.

i agree with the many ideas that have been given but one i have noticed is not mentioned is after playing in a manager mode of fifa or a tournemant i find it disapointing that you dont get to see ur team lift up the trophey and more should be done when you do win the prize u have been spending hours to win!

my ideas for fifa 09 are
1. They should have as many international teams as possible like in World Cup Germany 06
2. Refree should be visible at all times
3. more control over players
4.When a substition is about to occur the should have the guy with the Board showing the number that needs to come off
5. Less fouls being called
6. Better camera views

First of all people ea will never do a world cup or euro cup or any of international cups. Fifa is only for club teams!

Total football!! I want 7-8 players attack not 1-2 players.

Hi, I have come up with a few ideas that will improve FIFA 09
These are my ideas:

Cups - Please don't put all the "ECC" Rubbish - Put real cup names in Manager Mode.

Editing System - Be able to make your own leagues, when you create a team choose from different sponsors you can put on the Kit, Make your own stadiums.

Leagues - Please create Youth & Reserve leagues - View the players in Manager Mode.

Release Time - Wait until the January Transfer Window closes - So you have updated transfers.

See A Celebraton when you win a cup
Create a manager in manager mode
Have press conferences when something inmportant happens in season mode
Tranfers made better
Diving alowed
More leagues, russian, greek etc
Argue with the referee
Celebration creator

Put more South American leagues other than Brazil. There's the argentinian, chilean, peruvian, bolivian, etc. Also, it would be great if you added on the search for a player under team management a player by country of birth search option.

i think you should be linked with jobs and leave your club to be international side coach and choose plaers for games. also players should be able to request a transfer and players like modric should be in game. thanks i hope you like the suggestions.

a couple more thing such as being able to copy a player to make ur own dream team a world cup and other international tournaments and also so the abillity to manage an international team

I think on Fifa 09 you should be able to create your own team for the Playstation 3 I also think you should add the referee and linesmen to the pitch in game play and add more international teams

1. in manager mode, have the actual schedule the team will have for that season
2. also make free kicks a bit easier because it is nearly impossible to get the ball over the wall so i have to curve the ball around it and thats when i can actually get it to curve
3. on the player growth system put a maximum overall limit because its ridiculous having a bunch of 99 overall players
4. make it possible to change players positions to another position they can play, like Hleb plays right mid but can also play as center attacking mid, i would like to be able to choose which one he is labled as so it helps with formations and player growth

a soccer legend type thing like make up player do mini games to improve stats and etc everything it would take to become a soccer legend that would be the best thing for any true soccer fan and also an online clan naming system like winning eleven 09 had on the ps2 in order to do ranked team match like 5 on 5 etc

i love manager mode. but i also liked the be the player mode. now, the reason i love manager mode is because i can create a player (somehow, the players i create have an uncanny resemblence of me) and follow him threwout his carrer. it would be great to be able to do more with the created player. i want a mode where i can create a player and depending on his performance, be called up to national team service. i understand that a fifa version won't contain a EURO cup or a World Cup because EA already sells versions of the afor mentioned. but you could substitute a generic cup or qualifiers for the national side. also give the american continent the credit it deserves. some of the best players in the world come from the western hemisphere. there should be a Libertadores for the the clubs in the americas (A final between Boca Jr.'s and Sao Paulo offers more ecxitenent than a europrean cup between hannover 96 and Atletico Bilbao, but CPU selection is another story). the brazilian, argentine, and mexican leagues are more competitive than let's say holland. all i'm saying is that you should not forget about this side of the atlantic. you have many costumers on this side.

the most frustrating thing about fifa 08 was the gameplay its self. i understand that the game needs to be challenging and that an easy game would be boring. in a decicive game, its only natural that the opposing team's abilities increase. however, not only did the opposing team (let's say, Murcia) play like Real Madrid, but my teams attributes seemed affected. how can i play my best when the CPU is holding me back. exp. i'm running down the pitichwith the ball and only the keeper to beat, with a player with sprint and acceleration over 90. when all of a sudden my player slows down enough for the defender, who was trailing from far behind, to stop me. this will happen despite my players moral being high and fatigue low. again, i'm not asking for ya'll to make the game easier, i want you to make it fair.

When you play in the FA cup semis and final you should play in wembley. And for the champ league final it shouldnt be 1 of the teams stadiums that they play in. Their certainly is not enough stadiums in the 08 version. Also when you win the cup, your team should be shown celebrating with the trophy.

Two words: "dirty clothes"... after 90 min. of play, player jerseys shouldn't still look newly washed. I know it's just a graphical detail, but I still think it should be there.

I loved the last FIFA and still play it and Euro 2008 on a daily, semi religious basis. Some things I'd like to see for FIFA 09:
Obviously the lack of weather was a big disappointment with 08 and remedied in Euro 2008, but perhaps more extreme weather conditions could be included, or at least the weather could be a little more diverse. Another annoyance was the lack of variety in stadium's, I realise there's a lot of leagues and stadiums matching divisions etc but when playing multiple seasons in the Premiership the sight of Stadium Del Artes becomes incredibly annoying and takes away slightly from the 'real' aspect of the game, I understand you can't make every home ground, but at least if different teams were assigned different grounds it would give a bit of diversity. Saying that, the likes of the Emirates, Old Trafford, Anfield etc look great. Another point would be in regards to the crowd. I only played the version on the 360, but the crowd animations were at times rather flat, the signing/chanting/general crowd noise is great, although one may consider added crowd hostility depending on where your playing ie Rivals/Derby's/Away Games in Europe. Also the crowds sound different depending on the country your in,for example the general noise and crowd sounds/reactions are far different in England & Spain.

smoother and less scripted gameplay.

more international teams and more domestic leagues including the blue square division.

Better and easier free kicks, but not too easy.

a after game highlights show.

Better editing options, like having players wear gloves, long or short sleeves etc.
Be able to change kit in manager mode each season.
Be able to trade players in manager mode.
less game slowdown and less random crashing!

2)I f a player gets subsituted they should interact with each other like in a real game. where they clap each others hands...

Im sure when everyone makes a manager mode they put their name as the manager. Even if you dont you should be able to create your manager just like you cretae a player just instead of the kit you should be able to use suits and tracksuits.

I think Fifa has been and always will be the best footballing game to play on consoles. My favourite addition was probably Fifa 96 as there was the option to play indoor football. That would be great if that could come back as an option, especially with the graphic updates you guys have now! Keep up the good work.

15. in career mode have the international tournaments eg - world cup , euro.
16.cancel the player ratings beacuse after summer they dont go up by 5 or .....
they get better in matches and training
17. f a player has just cum bak from an injury then they wuldnt run around perfectly
18. have all the yearly / end of season awards
19. vary around the commentators
20 . take out some of the things they say eg - the scrooge thing , the bank thing & in real life you dont hear them say its rooneys goal so get rid of it
