awesome game,,, but must ask, why have peoples overall numbers been changed so drastically??
eg. Jose Reina (liverpool) is now 84 when in fifa 07 he was around 89 of 90 after 3 or 4 seasons of growth....it says in 'player growth' that his OVR will be 84 for the next 6 seasons ...so whats with that???
eg. Harry Kewell (liverpool) is now 76 but in fifa 07 he was 83 and going down one every season..
eg. Xabi Alonso (liverpool) is now 84 and won't grow anymore...but in 07 he started off around 80 and got up to 88 after 3 seasons...why the big change...
and transfer fees are suddenly ALOT less...why aren't they worth as much as the fifa 07??

and the menu is shocking, don't like it at all

keep working, need more national teams and my trick stick won't work...??

all fifa 09 needs is the superstar mode from madden. create your own player and build his attributes throughout a 15 year manager mode or however long it would be or become. thanks

It is an injustice that the Argentine league is not in fifa, would already have to put to the best league of the world. And in rest of the world they could add some American equipment that is not nor brazileros, Argentine nor Mexican so that the Americans we pruned to make the glass toyota liberating of America(COPA LIBERTADORES DE AMÉRICA)

I think fifa needs is any player in the world could be the best... With training and matches the player should improves skills. Because always in the game, players have a roof and they can't exceed that limit, so i think if you're a great trainer, your players would be the best! Thanks

Also Greek , Argentinian, and Russian leagues need to be added. Any other leagues are not even worth adding, since all the quality leagues would have been covered.

One cheap thing my friends do is the the through lob, holding the buttons down for a while. It goes straight to the forward from the goalie with astounding accuracy. This almost never happens in real football. At least limit the length this pass can go. The other long passes can stay though.

fifa 09 should include more realistic football, like fak diving, fights, and better career mode, also they should include some great teams that never get talked about like fk sarajevo, or nk zeljeznicar

It's very important begin from fifa 09 to be Russian Premier League and 1st division, also all stadiums of all premier league commands and 2-3 stadiums of 1st division. It's very much players of fifa in East Europe, who like this idea too.

why have they decided to take Pananthanikos off Fifa 08? Just because they had a bad season, they would never in a million years take off Liverpool or Man U if they had a bad season. And Shatkar Donetsk aren't on Fifa 07 or 08.

They sould have Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka on the cover for fifa 09. They sould have the argentinian league and more international teams. They sould have the AFC and South american Champions league. Manager mode sould be longer.

I have fifa 08 and have had many before 08 the main thing that i would like to see in the next version like liam said is to do with realism. I know fifa is a fairplay game but a diving/faking system needs to be implimented. you should be allowed to take a dive and win free kicks or get booked and fined for diving. :P
this has been implimented in other games before such as This is Football and would love to see it in 09.

you should also have more national teams like jaimaica and bahamas, well anyways you should be able to be manager of a national squad whn you have enough experience. also include greek league, ukranian league and even the chile league and national team.

Fifa should have Argentina's League, with reals players and reals faces ;) .
Change team shirt in manager mode and Change the stadium yourself.

Like on fifa world cup 206 we should be able to buy Boots and costomize them,and also on create a team get shirts by addidas and puma and nike ect. and let the sirts have sponsers lick A.I.G and many more! and show the manger talking to the assistant oh and to create an assistant and linesman and Reff and cosomize Goal keepers gloves!

my idea is that ea improve the manager feature and make it just like the game fifa manager 08 and eliminate that game or just make that game available to next-gen consoles. Also, and this is a request, please add the chilean league to FIFA 09, the league is very competetive and last months has improve very much because of the contract of Marcelo Bielsa to the national team, it has very good teams such as U. Catolica, U. de Chile, Colo Colo.

Hi, sorry my english is not well, but.....
I think the online-tournament mode is very unfair.
When you have a match and your opponent is offline, the game will be siumated. But that is not fair. you can take the best team and go offline. Then you win the tournament because all gameswould be simulated and the best teamofcourse win.

I think it would be better when the player who is not online loose the match.
i hope you think so,too.

my idea is to bring more stadiums, make sure each one is different from the others.Plus iam from scotland and i was really looking foward to maybe having the lower scottish leauges but when i got it, it was upsetting to figure out that the scottish talinet and leuges were low rated!Scottish football is improveing by the minute! We are better than englad, how you ask simply look at the euro 2008 tables, compare to england and you will see that scotland have the harder group and we just need 6 pionts out of 3 games left and we make are march!!!!

Im ranked top 100 on 08 and all is well until people work out the cheats, glitch quit has already been discovered on 08 just like 07.... sort it out if it gets out of hand again like the last 1 il be seking a refund and getting a ps3......

oh yeah and get rid of the home depot center... it doesnt even look good... it looks like a league 2 stadium...... its not a classic stadium either!!!

When an away side score they dont shout for joy... the home fans start booing..... that doesnt happen in real life.... you can actually hear the AWAY FANS!!!

im a big fan of fifa, 08 is a gd improvement, but the gameplay should be more realistic like pro evo then it will sell more, also the game should look fluid eg creating teams and kits. Diving and s*** pull should be included. Edit player postions and more attack/defend tactis also must be included.

when creating a team and doing their kit it would be nice if there were a few nike or adidas templates

i think that they should make the game more realistis like seeing the referee actually on the pitch as you play and less generic faces

Allow multiple users to play manager mode together throughout the seasons. Move teams to different places like in madden. Be able to change people's outfits (boots, socks etc.). More variation in weather (ability to see breath when its cold, snow accumulates throughout the game). More alternate jerseys such as throwbacks and champions league kits. You should be able to call different free kick plays and formations, especially from corners and close kicks. More customized celebrations for star players. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

i think you should be able to play "be a pro" in season mode, start out as a 16 year old in a sunday league side and try to be scouted to a pro side, at the end the aim is to be the captain for your country and lifting the world cup. also you should be able to control your player in training sessions and stick to a health diet. and if the player becomes injured, control them in physiotheropy.
