Your Ideas for FIFA 09

On the wii you should be able to bring your keeper up for corners and when you bring on a sub they wear their own boots and not the boots of the player they came on for

I think that Fifa 08 was no doubt great, however some improvements would make Fifa 09 even greater.
Its the finer details that define a game and set it apart from its competitors.

Commentary:
Maybe you could have 3 or 4 commentators. You could automatically alternate 2 commentators per game. That way you wouldn't get bored with the commentary (I currently don't listen to the commentary - I just put on my own music instead). The commentary also needs to be more accurate (The commentator says that its a great save, but the shot was not even close to the goal).

Music:
Music from all over the world should be included, not just European countries. Maybe some classic tracks can be added (From previous Fifa versions).

Manager Mode:
We should not be able to select our own budget. Each club has unique financial positions (Who wants a budget of $1m when you can have a budget of $100m???).
Players hairstyles should change during the seasons (How many players keep the same hairstyle for 10 - 15 years???).
We should have clubs that are willing to sign a manager according to his prestoge level (I don't think Liverpool would want to sign a 1-star manager).
The contract length should change from just being a 1-year contract. (Give us a 2 - 5 year contract as a Manager - That's more realistic).

I hope that all/some of our ideas are taken into consideration when the new game is being developed. I can't wait for Fifa 09 to be released!!!

Hopefully it will be on the PS2? The PC version I had did not work with my PS2 gamepad. That was a bug, so I swapped it for the PS2 version. The PS2 version of Fifa 08 was fine, but has the following issues:
You need to sort the commentary out first. New commentators maybe?
The commentary on Fifa 08 is inaccurate.
There needs to be more stadiums mapped into the game.
Please do not lose the core of what Fifa games are about, like the classic mode in Vs. I know you are aiming the games at PS3, PCs, so online multiplayer is important, but I feel this option must be kept.
I think it would be good to have Champions League included too. I mean who wants to buy Fifa 08 and the Champions League game? It should all be one. I know you have licensing issues to deal with, but if you can resolve these that would be great for every Fifa fan.
Apart from that I think Fifa 08 was a well polished game. I have had a lot of enjoyment with it on the PS2.

Add new muscle flexing feature. Be able to download latest soccer boots for FIFA09 09 pcand consoles. When you make your own player make them earn skill points instead of just making them the best streight away. Add the dutch team (netherlands) on international. Make the players make mistakes (slipp up innacurate pass and to much or to less power. Create your own formations in reason. Add more ea tracks(Foo Fighters, Bryan Adams or greenday). Bigger instruction manual. Make FIFA 09 more online friendly and simple join and host classic online. Add realistic graphics features for espasially the face and body (EA did a very good graphics job on Need For Speed Prostreet). make two players on pc.when you are running you must be able to shield the ball and it should be easy to score a spectular goals like volly and you must be alble to score acrobetic goals

Fifa 08 is the best.Please show reserved players and the managers.The commantaters must show more passion when a beautiful goal has been scored and when the player is injured you must show the medical staff treating the player and when the player is beeing stretched off the pitch. The fans must be more active and show emotions and boo players when they have made blunders or missed a clear cut chances. try to improve facial appereance of the players from lower league like in South Africa and get more African leagues

10) Make injuries more realestic like put cuts or marks and the players and if the get taken off bring out doctores and stretchers

when you get to a final, play it in the relevant stadium...FA Cup..Wembley.
Do not provide option to manage every team from the beginning. This would make the game more interesting in the long term as you strive to be offered the job at your club of preference.
International matches should be played alongside league games. Players should be unavailable for certain games due to country commitments or not available due to injury so other squad members get a chance to play.
Long term injuries to key players would mean more strategy and the need to bring in players on loan to fill void.
Curve mapped to direction button after kick meter released.
Opportunity to have created player selected for National team.
Opportunity for team manager to manage national team as well as league team (stuart pierce)
Pre-season friendlies against clubs of your choosing
More hands on day to day club activities/training for players/hiring firing staff. (basic stuff)
Ability to change team kits to personal preference.
Ability to select multiple teams based on formations to stop having to constantly changing players out if you are siming games and need to swop out fatigued players or if you want to change formation.
Reserve team leagues, Youth development.
I know I already said this, but please have more stadiums. All away games should be played in different stadiums. I get bored playing on the same ones. Imagine having to play on a bumpy pitch at Wigan after a rugby game..different physics need different strategy. Even lighting (day, dusk, night) make for better games.
Ability to build new stadiums or expand current ones.
I would buy new stadiums on line if folks were able to mod them or if you got the license fo them. Xbox 360 micro transactions like this could be lucrative for EA and beneficial option for those of us that want them.

1. Manager mode- you progress, meaning you start out with a crappy team and end up in barcelona if your good enough or international
2. Be A Pro: Career like madden
3. International club matches- theres abunch of these and yet they only have the european ones what about copa libertadores thats the biggest one in the western hemishphere.
4. more polish and the refs wtf are the reffs

I think that you should put the premier league highlights & make the game available for 256 ram & 64mb graphic memory (like 07).

I WOULD LIKE IF YOU GUYS PUT A TRAINING PLAY IN THE MANAGER MODE SO THAT WE CAN PLAY THE TRAINING WITH THE PLAYERS ON THE TEAM AND CAN GET EXPERIENC FOR THE AMOUNT OF TIME PLAYED IN TRAINING AND LOSE THE FATIGE TO MAKE IT MORE REALISTIC.

1. Refferee on the field
2. MVP for every game
3. More sponsors like Adidas, Nike etc. and their logos on the uniform
4. Training mode in mgr mode
5. WEATHER CONDITIONS like snow or severe rain
6. Number of fans dependable on weather conditions, tickets sales etc. and their behaviour

Linesmen getting some decisions wrong instead of them always being perfect
You can see managers and subs in dugout whilst playing
include all stadiums rather than the same one for the teams outside the Top 4

1.Be able to dive and get away wirh it if your clever but get caught and get booked
2. Have the refs on the pitch
3.Scrap the upgrade your players yourself on manager mode as it takes to long and make them back to automatcallly upgrade

There are many things it could be improved on:
- 10 v 10 Online be a pro matches.
- All 4 officials
- Shows the dugout (Manager, subs, 4th official etc)
- 4th Official shows injury time
- Realistic Fans e.g. (Liverpool Fans wear Red, Away Chelsea fans wear Blue and because they are away, they only have about 3000-4000 fans at anfield
- More Commentators
- International managers come to see some of the club matches
- Offside rule, should rule offside when an offside player is running to the ball not when an offside player runs 10 meters away from the defence to the ball THEN called offside (hard to explain - late offside calls)
- Goal net and corner Flag colours e.g. if at Anfield, Corner flags should be red and the goal nets should be red and white.
- More goal celebrations
- More leagues e.g. Blue SQ Premier, Scottish divisions, greek league, Russion league etc...
- All teams have 3rd kits, that you dont need to buy/unlock
- Training mode for fun and on manager mode to upgrade players
- A lot more stadiums
- More weather, I like the idea if it is 6 o'clock, it starts at day and gradually goes to night.
- More footballs and boots (No crappy diadora ones or hummel, we want more adidas & Nike
- DIFFERENT/MORE MUSIC - The music is soooo annoying, i dont know any of the songs, after about 1 month all the songs get annoying
- Player details the players look fake as they are all pouring with sweat and look like plastic by half time.
- Mud on kits if tackled or tackling like on fifa 04 was it??
- Different boots & footballs effect performance e.g. The world cup footy had alot more curl and the new mercurial vapor 4's make you faster.
- You should be able to select you captain whilst in the game, cos when u sub ur captain off, no-one else has a captain armband and you cant choose
- More occurance of injuries, not enough injuries and when there is an injury its ALWAYS concussion. I have never had a player with a broken leg, ankle, metatarsal, no hamstring problems, calf problems or groin strains
- Players should get cramp late on in game/extra time if they run out of energy or their stamina is low
- At the start of matches, you should see fans with kits, scarfs, hats etc and drinks!!
- Fans run on pitch if they win league/cup etc..
- If players are playing good, and they get subbed, they look at the 4th official puzzled then go off in a strop (take off gloves if GK or go through tunnel etc.)
- When match has finished, managers shake hands
- All stadiums should be playable in Day and night
- Better grass graphics
- Mud patches where someone has been tackled, at the Goal keeper area where he has been diving etc.
- If raining, ball should travel longer and faster, players should slip and go further when they slide tackle. same with GK's when they dive and players who have been tackled
- players should argue with each other, sometimes the whole team if its a really bad tackle
- Introduce the handball rule
- If a manager disagrees with the ref, he should argue with 4th official
- Depending on the managers attitiude, and game events, managers should be removed form dugout to the stand or even tunnel
- Objects should be thrown at players, only rarely though
- Fans boo opposite players, their own players if playing bad, a bad tackle on one of their players etc.
- Fans start cheering if a player does a nice piece of skill, lots of passes (whey, whey). if an opposite player slips, if one of their players is doing well etc.
- See subs getting ready and managers giving them orders.
- Hear players shouting at each other
- Pre-Match analysis e.g. showing highlights of a certain player scoring etc.
- New Menu's - FIFA 07 and 08 for xbox 360 are horrible.
- Create a team - Create kits, stadium
- Minute silence and black armbands if a rememberance day like Nov 11
- Interactive leagues, you can only play with available players e.g. if a player like D.Agger is injured, you cant play him and same with suspensions and Africa cup of nations
- You should be able to do an interacvtive World Cup or Euro 2008
- For online games after the january transfer window, if a player moved teams e.g. anelka to chelsea then when you play as chelsea after the january transfer window, you get to play anelka
- International Manager mode
- Have to select players you want in your team
- Attend Club matches like Fabio Capello does (alot)
- You get to change the kit every 2 years or so
- Be a pro: Career
- As many seasons as you want with a single player
- Start off at a team like Rochdale or Morcambe
- Teams ask you to sign for them during transfer windows
- You can either go to training sessions or skip them
- If you skip then the manager might not pick you to play
-The manager chooses whether to play you or to rest you
- You can buy different levels of Houses and Cars 1-10 like a stadium manager or negotiater. the higher the level, the more relaxed you are and the better you will play
- Attend press conferences and charity events or special club days and testimonials
- Play good when your international manager is attending so that you might get picked for an international game
- If you choose to be a Left Mid, and you start drifting forward and scoring goals, the manager could start playing you up-front and vice-versa
- Better Manager mode
- Have to start off at a rubbish club and the higher clubs approach YOU if they need a manager not that because you just selected them
- If another team (not you) does bad, then they might make more transfers and even a new manager
- Pre-season friendlies and minor cups like Chinese cup or sumthin
- More time needed during transfer window
- Team Training
- Club could be bought by investors and you could ask for transfer money or ask for a new stadium if current stadium is too small or too old
- Staff should have salaries not a one off payment
- Generate income from TV rights, season tickets, fan/club shop, internet members etc.
- Other managers should be sacked if thier teams doing badly
- More transfers between all clubs not just yours.
- Better transfer system - If they ask for £10 mill and you giv them 10 mill, then they accept instead of constantly declining, its sooo annoying that you have to pay 2mill more for them but when you sell a player, they ask for 2mill less and thats their highest offer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Manager mode for wii, and better graphics

in fifa 09 i would like to see every real stadium in the english leagues, italian league serie a, spanish la liga.
i think that the real champions league should be introduced and all the rules that come wif it.
there should be refs and linesmen on the pitch, y that hasn't already happened i don't no.
there should be real managers on the side lines.
there should be create your own team and stadium mode.
there should be an world cup in manager mode whuich you can be manager of an international team.
there should be all the leagues from different countrys i.e russia bulgerian and the greek.
there should be songs played in the stadium before the match like at stamford bridge it should have the liquidator playing. at liverpool during a match the fans should sing you'll never walk alone stuff lik that instead of crappy sit down shut up.
it should have real faces of the players but keep the grapics of everything else as they are.

Fifa 09 will be the greatest game is these are included:

8 - more anthems
9- linesmen make offside mistakes (like when the yerllow and red lines made orange they met so close)
10- ref doesnt always play advantage cuz u timed a tackle a fraction late
11 - when on xbox lives be a pro mode u have to pass within 10 seconds cuz i never get the ball
12 - goalies are given lower ranks eg cech - 85, buffon 86, so all the players have a chance scoring and so the goalies will make mistakes

I would like to see more lower leagues e.g: Blue Square Premier,Isthmian(Ryman),Championnat de France Amateurs 1and 2. Also, I would like to seea womens legue or championship.

one more thing the reserves and youth league would also be a big bonus also

well....what i think should be in fifa 08 is the game not just concentrating on always saying good things about premiership teams and other teams in the top leagues but never saying anything about them teams in league one or league two not to mention the championship like as soon as you start a match with for example port vale and manchester united its always saying well theres a clear winner on paper here and that was a magnificent save by van der sar so here are a few things i would like to see in fifa 09
1) A referee on the pitch.
2) More aggressive football from the ai so there is some bookings for the other team.
3) better reactions to things happening to team mates for example a foul being commited and the manager shouting and the players crouding around the referee.
4) Having a manager on screen sometimes either motivating the team or giving the team instructions even if they dont make any difference it would be nice to see both teams managers on the side of the pitch.
5) More realistic graphics on everything especially the fans.
6) Definatly more football grounds beause why would a team not in the premiership play at old trafford at home it doesnt make sense an idea for the future not just for fifa 09 would be to have every football stadium for all the teams if not most of the teams.
7) Different teams playing their styles of football for example millwall fc fouling more than normal and tottenham with their passing football.
8) To be able to have not just the contracted players but the loanees at each football club so that all the players in the squad for each team are all there.
9) More weather conditions.
10) Pitch damage for example the grass being pulled out by the studs and people doing sliding tackles.
11) More cups like the champions league and having the proper names for each cup would be a lot better.
12) More sound tracks

i hope to see some of these things in the new fifa game as i know i will buy it and plus it will be a lot of reasons for people to buy the new fifa games instead of the petty alternatives like pro evo soccer and this is football lol

Heeyy.. I’m Tom and like most of you on this site, I have been playing Fifa for years and there has always been room for improvement in one way or another. I have compiled a list of ideas, some of my own, and some of my friends, on ways in which we believe if included in Fifa 09, can make it the ultimate football experience.



Please try and find time to read this post, if you that take time to read this… I’m sure you will agree





Longer cut scene - for example: loads of different celebrations for players (e.g. Run into crowd, celebrate with manager/substitutes, all different types of real celebrations and long ones with lots of players involved and not just the right back)

fourth official showing numbers on electronic boards, managers arguing with fourth officials over decisions, players arguing with referee, confrontations with other players after fouls, captains shouting, players congratulate keeper after good saves, crowd reacting to decisions, show score on score boards.. Or at the bottom of the screen with goal scorers or times of goals scored.



Referees and linesman visible when actually playing a game and not just cut scenes, also show fourth official

Referees make wrong discions, such as penalties, free kicks, throw ins and offsides



Players able to dive or hand ball, pull shirts



Weather conditions.. Such as rain and snow, pitch gets waterlogged/muddy

Weather conditions actually effect game play.. Such as playing slipping over, ball skidding, players slide more often and further.

Skid marks left on pitch where players slide/fall over

Players and their kits get dirty

Balls get dirty

Kits get untucked

Sleeves rolled up

Players wear under armour, warmer clothing such as gloves in winter.. ‘hard’ players keep short sleeves



In rival matches fouls and confrontations happen more often. They should be either tight or free flowing matches.



In manager mode, matches are realistic such as in winter months the weather and player clothing changes.. and champions league matches are played at night



Crowd dressed in team colours.. So you can distinguish home and away fans.. Also they should react to what is happening on the pitch.. Example player gets fouled.. Goal scored/conceded.



Ability to choose who comes up for corners and free kicks.. For example goal keepers and centre backs



Goal keepers make mistake.. For example fumble the ball, they can be challenged at corners by strikers and miss ball/ drop ball.



Bigger pitch with more space.. Players make more runs into space, full backs overlap wingers, and shots are harder.. Can hear players kicking the ball.



Attributes make more of a difference.. Faster players out run slow ones with ease, strong players muscle off small weaker ones.

More free flowing.. Players run faster.. Turn sharper.. So could for example take on goalkeeper or cut inside to cross and fool defender

Players controlled by computer do tricks too



Formations make more of a difference.. For example.. Using five players in midfield will mean more possession.



Player development more realistic.. Done automatically and for example, young players develop quicker than older ones, and older ones get worse rather than better.

Young players improve more when played more often and against bigger teams.



Player that are loaned out actually play for their team.. And also the ability to trade players.

More stadiums instead of just one for nearly all the teams in the premiership.. For example.. Several variations of the stadium used (div 1)

for many times the keeper save without touching the ball .........it's a big bug and lots of problems by activating my player like if i run with a player it changed to another one closer to the ball and this make me crazy when i defend .

Need to sort the freekick system out, should be able to control swerve/curling of the ball and more fancy set pieces, to out- wit the opponent.

Different premier league stadiums, was very happy with the addition of white hart lane in fifa 08 as im a spurs fan and never thoght it would happen but its only been put on the PS2 version.
You got to have a couple of the big stadiums, but why not have, upton park, fratton, villa park etc...boring having the same stadiums year after year!

When running with the ball, should be able to flick the ball up in your stride like in fifa 04 or 05.
Dont know why this action was made non existent or just very difficult to perform in the recent fifa games.

You should be able to do all the the things i recomend.
1.In manager mode there should be champions league.
2.the players should pull on each other more realistic fits.
3.C.ronaldo should have realy long ankle tape along with all the other players that do.
4.For free kicks you should be able to dipit and curve it alot with outside and inside of foot.
5.In manager mode there should be world cup player should have to mis a game because of intrnational duties.
6.players shoul get hurt badly so they have to have a stretcher.
7. Each player should be were real soccer cleats not the dumb ea ones and all the cleats should be unlocked.
8.When player is injured in manager mode they should show them on the side lines with cruches or someting.
9.there should be a reserve league in manager mode so you can bring players up and play those games.
10. They should have high low and madium socks .
ALL THESE THINGS SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE XBOX 360 FIFA 09.

1) TRAINING MODE
- it would be good to see some training sessions where it utilizes the Special Moves stick. As the player goes through the training sessions (or "small games"), it will tell show you on the screen in which situations you should use which special moves, at exactly what time. kind of like what that game Skate does for its tricks but not as complicated of course

2) GRAPHICS
- better Stadium animation and interactions. need more variety of people with different outfits, different movements. it would be nice to see some banners and signs that shows the Team names, etc.
- It would be nice to see tiny bits of grass/dirt splashing when the player starts to sprint, tackles, falls, etc.
- if the stadium is in a city, it would be nice to see some animations from the city itself. such as helicopters, lights from tall buildings, moving clouds, birds, etc.
- it would be nice to have more interactive cameraman on the side, so that if the ball goes towards him, or if any of the players run towards him, he moves out of the way... or players can run into them and both fall... etc.
- when selecting Ball, Stadium, it would be nice to actually preview them, instead of trying to remember what the ball looked like or what the stadium looked like.

3) SOUND
- depending on where the ball is on the field, it would be nice to hear the coach yelling. also, more player calls would be nice... especially right before any corner kicks, etc. just players yelling at each other about "take your positions" ,etc.

4) PLAYABILITY
- ability to "take control" of the player quickly, when you do a through pass to him. right now, if the pass is going the wrong way, you cannot move the player to go after the ball... he is stuck in his original path.

you should be able to simulate multiple dates at once in manager mode to get through a season quicker like in NBA Live
