FC 27 Kick Off mode allows you to create quick matches in EA Sports FC 27 and play against the CPU or your friends. You can choose from available clubs, national teams, stadiums, match types, and custom settings to set up a game exactly the way you want. Women's teams and men's teams are kept separate and cannot be played against each other.
You can create a single friendly or exhibition match in FC 27 Kick Off mode to play against CPU AI or local players on your console or PC. Each side can select their team before the match, adjust formations, tactics, lineups, match settings, difficulty, stadium options, and controller settings. Kick Off can be played offline, but features such as Live Form require an internet connection to EA servers.
In FC 27 Kick Off mode, players can enjoy several match types, including Classic Match, Rush, House Rules, UEFA competitions, Cup Final, Home & Away, and Best Of Series. Rush returns as the fast-paced 5v5 format, offering a quicker and more intense way to play football inside Kick Off.
How to Play Kick Off Mode in FC 27?
The Kick Off match mode is accessible from the Home menu in FC 27. From there, select Kick Off, choose your match type, pick your teams, adjust the settings, and start your match.
Match Types
Here is the list of Kick Off modes in EA Sports FC 27:
- Classic Match - A traditional football match using the regular rules of the game.
- Rush - A fast-paced 5v5 match type played on a smaller pitch with quicker action and Rush-specific rules.
- >House Rules - A custom match type that lets you play with different rules, including No Rules, Survival, Long Range, First To, and Headers & Volleys.
- UEFA Champions League - Play UEFA Champions League matches with authentic competition branding, visuals, rules, and presentation.
- UEFA Women's Champions League - Play matches inspired by one of the biggest competitions in women's club football, with authentic competition-style presentation where available.
- CONMEBOL Libertadores - Play matches from South America's biggest club competition, including group stage or knockout-style fixtures.
- Cup Final - Play a one-off final with official-style presentation, trophy celebrations, match branding, and cup atmosphere.
- Home & Away - A two-legged match type where teams play one home match and one away match. The winner is decided by the aggregate score across both games.
- Best Of Series - Play a three-match or five-match series to decide the overall winner.

Select Side
Once you enter Kick Off mode, you will be asked to select your side as Home or Away. If you are playing multiplayer, your friend or friends can also choose whether to play on your team or against you.
On this screen, you can switch the Kick Off name, adjust settings, customize controls, and change the group leader when playing locally with multiple controllers.
To invite friends where supported, use the invite option shown on screen.
Live Form
Live Form in FC Kick Off mode allows you to update team lineups, formations, and player form using real-world club data through an internet connection. This feature can also create match sessions based on your favorite club's upcoming real-world fixture. You can turn Live Form on or off at the team selection screen before starting a match.
Advantage Settings
Advantage Settings allow you to adjust the starting score and AI difficulty before a match. This is useful when playing with friends of different skill levels, as it can balance the match by giving one side a head start or changing how AI teammates behave with and without the ball.

- Team Management - Adjust formations, tactics, lineups, roles, and instructions.
- Game Settings - Change gameplay, match rules, difficulty, camera, audio, and visual settings.
