Learn how to launch EA Sports FC 27 and begin your football journey. This beginner guide explains the basic steps you need to follow before playing FC 27 for the first time.
Preparation
Before starting the game, we recommend checking the FC 27 controls guide. This will help you understand the basic buttons, movements, passing, shooting, defending, and other gameplay controls, especially if you are new to the EA Sports FC series.
Once you are familiar with the controls, you can continue with installing, launching, and setting up FC 27.
Internet Connection
After downloading or installing FC 27 on your console or PC, make sure your device is connected to the internet. An internet connection is required to sign in to EA servers, sync your profile, save online progress, and access online features.
You can still play some offline modes without an internet connection, but you will not be able to connect to EA servers, access online modes, or update your in-game progress online.
Launching the Game
Start FC 27 from your console dashboard, game library, or PC installation folder. On PlayStation and Xbox, the game will appear on your home screen or in your game library. On PC, you can launch it through the EA App, Steam, Epic Games Store, or the installation directory you selected.
If you are playing on PC, make sure your system meets the required specifications before launching the game. You can check the FC 27 PC specs to see whether your computer can run the game properly.
Opening Training and First Match
When you launch FC 27 for the first time, the game may introduce you to training drills, opening tutorials, and a starter match. These sections are designed to help you learn the controls, movement, passing, defending, shooting, and skill moves.
You may be able to skip some intro scenes or training sections, but completing them is recommended if you want to get comfortable with the gameplay before entering the main menu.
Login / Sign in to EA
Next, you will need to sign in to your EA account. If you already have an EA account, enter your login details and continue. If you are new to EA Sports FC, you may need to create an account first.
EA may send a verification email to confirm your account. Follow the instructions in the email to complete the verification process.
User Agreement
Before accessing the full game, you will be asked to review and accept the EA User Agreement. You must accept the terms to continue. We recommend reading the agreement carefully before proceeding.
Difficulty Level & Controller Settings
FC 27 may ask you to choose a difficulty level and controller setup during the initial setup process. These options may be suggested based on your previous EA Sports FC experience.
You can change your difficulty, controller layout, camera settings, and other gameplay preferences later from the Settings menu.
Choosing Your Favourite Club or Team
Before entering the main game menus, you may be asked to choose your favourite club or national team. This team can appear on your profile, menus, and EA Sports FC-related screens.
You may also be asked whether you want to receive emails from EA or share selected account information with EA, leagues, clubs, and partner organisations. You can choose whether or not to allow this. If you do not want your account information shared, select the “No” option when prompted.
Welcome Rewards
After completing the initial setup, you may receive welcome rewards depending on your EA account, loyalty status, pre-order bonuses, EA Play membership, or Ultimate Edition content. These rewards can include Ultimate Team packs, FC Points (where applicable), cosmetic items, Evolution rewards, or other promotional bonuses.
Some rewards may appear immediately, while others will become available after entering the relevant game mode.
Main Menu
Once everything is set up, you'll arrive at the FC 27 main menu. From here, you can access all available game modes, settings, online features, and your profile.
Home
The Home tab gives you quick access to your most important content, including:
- Your last played game mode
- Featured promotions and live events
- Latest EA Sports FC news
- Season progress and objectives
- Recommended content and shortcuts
Play
The Play section contains the main offline and online football experiences available in FC 27. Depending on your edition and current updates, it may include:

The Online section gives you access to multiplayer experiences and competitive online gameplay, including:
