FUT Headliners

FIFA 20 Headliners event and players is available on FUT from Friday, 17 January 2020.

FUT Headliners are player cards what dynamically updates in a unique way, a special FUT card for the players who are on an exceptional run of form during the season so far.

At the launch of FUT Headliners event, each Headliners player item type is released at one in-form upgrade higher than their latest qualifying performance based in-form (TOTW, MOTM, Hero, Record Breaker or Team of the Group Stage item). Each time the FUT Headliners player earns a subsequent qualifying performance based in-form, their Headliners player item type will dynamically increase to always be one in-form upgrade higher. A such, The FUT Headliner upgrade will always stay one in-form ahead of the most recent qualifying performance based in-form throughout the remainder of the season.

FUT Headliners players is available in FIFA 20 packs from 17 Jan for a limited time. There are 3 additional FUT Headliners to be released through SBCs and objectives during the FUT Headliners event.

Who qualifies to be a FUT Headliner?

Headliners are a curated selection of players who are on an exceptional run of form through the season so far. In addition, to qualify for selection as a FUT 20 Headliner, the player must have had at least one performance based in-form this season and must not have an existing dynamic item, TOTY item or a base item rated 90 or above in FUT 20.

Are FUT Headliners dynamic items?

FUT Headliners are dynamic items that get automatically upgraded if the player earns a qualified in-form during the remainder of the current season.

How are FUT Headliners dynamic items upgraded?

The FUT Headliner upgrade will always stay one in-form ahead of the most recent qualifying performance based in-form. For example, Marco Reus has a latest TOTW In-Form rated 87, therefore his FUT 20 Headliner item is rated 88. If he gets another TOTW in-form, that second TOTW item will be rated 88 and his FUT 20 Headliner item will accordingly move to 89.

When do FUT 20 Headliner Items get updated?

A FIFA 20 Ultimate Team Headliner item will be upgraded when they earn a qualifying performance based in-form: TOTW (until the end of the 2019-20 season), MOTM, Hero, Record Breaker and Team Of The Tournament selection.

How long will a FUT 20 Headliner player take to get updated in-game?

Dynamic Player Items can take a few hours to update in-game after the applicable in-form is live in packs.

What happens if a player’s in-form item is in a different position to their FUT Headliner item?

A: The player’s position on his FUT 20 Headliner item type will not change.

Will the FUT 20 Headliner’s Action Shot change if they get an upgrade

FIFA 20 Headliner items will retain the Action Shot they are initially released with even if they get subsequent upgrades.
