Your Ideas for FIFA 09

First of all I would like to congratulate EA on re-converting me from Pro Evolution Soccer. I played FiFa games from FiFa 99 to FiFa 04 before switching to Pro Evo, but FiFa 09 was a much improved effort over previous games and outshone Pro Evolution.
I have compiled a list of 100 improvements that I feel would improve FiFA and cement my position as a FiFA fan with the next version of the game.


ESSENTIALS

1) Have a TV company sponsor the game to make it feel more like you’re watching a match on TV (Sky Sports , Setanta , maybe ESPN) although don't overuse the TV companies name or make it too commercial (e.g. "Setanta Sports' FiFA 2009") But please don't have a made up TV company like EA Sports TV , the EA Sports Boots are bad enough).

3) Better Commentary
- This is hard to explain but say if there is a shot that is narrowly wide have the commentator stop what he is saying and go "Oooooooh" or something. In FiFa 20008 he says all the build up and by the time he comments on the shot the GK has already taken the kick out.
- Add a third commentator and switch between him and Andy Gray throughout the season, this would give the game more variety

77) Be able to mix + match kits (Manchester United wear either black, white or red shorts when they are wearing their red jersey)

83) Have different size pitch dimension (Emirates Stadium is very wide but Div 2 England is short and narrow)
84) If your team is losing late in the game you are showed cut-scenes of fans leaving the stadium
85) Don’t have the defenders congratulating the forward after a goal, this is unrealistic
86) Louder SFX (Ball hitting post/hoardings, net rippling)
87) More personalized menus, In FiFA 2004 the background was of your favourite teams jersey
88] Lots more multiple choice questions in Manager Mode, after 1 season you seem to be getting the same ones again and again
89) In Manager Mode you should be able to find out info about teams in other leagues
90) Be able to pick a vice-captain
91) Be able to pick what players go into the box for corners (Like PES)
92) If a player is injured for 5 weeks you should be able to play him after 4 weeks but he risks further injury
93) Goalkeeper occasionally wears a baseball cap if it is a sunny day
94) Be able to call a player short when taking a free kick
95) When crossing a free kick have one of your players run over the ball thus disorganising the other teams defence
96) When defending a free kick choose what action your wall carries out
97) Players dive in front of the ball if a close range shot is taken in a crowded penalty area
98] Goal Updates go across the bottom of the screen and fans cheer if a rival team concede a goal
99) Fans boo loudly at the end of a game that you have performed badly in
100) Be able to just play a penalty shootout without going through a whole match

There needs to be;
1. The ability to change shirt numbers in manager mode (I'm sick of buying strikers and them having the number 2)

4. More realistic transfers.

Add of the Ukrainian Premieres, because it has borrowed in ratings 10 place

Yh I totally agree im sick of the stupid transfers, Boez Myhill the Hull City goalkeeper would never leave them, when he was up he went from a good premiership side to a rubbish Scottish Premier league side

Not realistic so get it right whoever creates fifa.

Anyway if they do i totally agree with pre season friendlies, they were on fifa 08 on PS2 for first time but then i got playstation 3 and it wasn avalible

But whenever they do put pre season friendlies back in to manager mode every time u start a season then to improve from is predessor we should be allowed to make as many substitutes as u want so u can play two different starting 11 teams each half if u have a big squad to test out

1.want realistic transfers in manger mode .fabregas in chicago fire is tooo nonsence
2.want pre-season friendlys in manger mode. Why isn't there any off season in Xbox360 or PS3?
3.show the trophy actually being held
4.more celbration when you win a tournament
5,BRING in J-league

I'am a swansea city supporter just to say and now my views on what needs to change and what features need to come back.

I could take forever here.

1. every international football team should be on fifa and I'am insulted that Wales were snubbed.
2. more football boots to choose from.
3. more footballs to play with in matches including the uefa champions league ball
4. what happened to being a able to choose ur team shirt numbers anytime u wanted in 15 season manager mode
5.when u go online and during a game ur going to penalty shootout, i can't bloody choose my penalty takers which i find has cost me beating my opponents
6. Every league in the world should be on fifa and get rid of this rest of the world rubbish
7. They should even think about putting in the conference as sentanta sports cover it now.
8. if non league football was brought in on fifa then it would make the FA cup more exciting.
9. Better weather options.
10. why not bring in the welsh premier league and welsh competitions, but I know thats a bit insane.
11. If you don't like the music on the game then why not have the option to have your own jukebox and design a connection from ur IPOD or something.
12. As I just below stop this rubbish with players disapearing.
13. Bring in fire work celebrations and actually show the trophy being held
14. If players have been released in real life, even big players that didn sign for a club in time before fifa came out they should just be put in that free agents section
15. On manager mode if u actually want to the current manager of whatever club you support to be the manager in his name then there should appear with there likeness and any traits of their attitude in football game.
16. Have more commentators, even put Ian Gywn Hughes and some guy named Walsh in for any welsh related game.
17. On manager mode make the fixtures particularly in coca cola championship completely more realsitic because starting and ending the season on a wednesday is never realistic and if u get to the FA cup final with a lower league side it is quite frustrating playing ur last league game of the season just two days before the final what with fitness and all that.
18. there should be FA cup replays.
19. to make it realistic, if u have fixtures clash you should have option to postpone matches.
20. What happened to being penalised for handball, it was a pain but that happens in real life.
21. Bring back moving your goalkeeper on the line while defending a free kick.
22. What happened to getting players through a youth academy even if they were fictional
23. Is the FIFA world club championship on the game anymore?
24. If you choose a team to manage on career mode that in real life qualified for europeon competition the season before then why can't u get the right to carry on from where the club left off on fifa
25. I don't think the transfers are realistic, gael clichy would never leave arsenal.

I am on a challenge to win the prem with 8 teams and I am half way through the season and I cant make transfers. Why can't I make transfers on a season? I play as Manchester City and we are going to make loads of exciting transfers and I will be stuck after January playing Richard Dunne and Gelson Fernandes. How bad is that?!?!

Add some more celebrations and after the final game, show the players lifting the cup and wearing metals. Again when adding the international teams, add with their leagues and divisions.

one of the main things that they should have in the game is when you win a tournament you see the team lifting the trophy and also i should show the subs bench, the manager and assist manager and also show the managers comming out onto the sideline.

1st of all they need to sort out the online matches !!! everytime when your winning online, the other person always disconects the internet, so they dont lose and we dont get the win, they should make it that even if they do lose their connection it should count as a forfeit... im sure a lot of ppl will agree with this, as we cant get a win because of these people disconnecting ther internet !!

I think adding a mode where you can be the ref would make the game much better,
also I think online could be improved, Please add a online mode where you can play a penalty shootout with people around the world.

I hope you suggest these to EA as I have many friends that agree with my ideas.

2. Have option to rebuild stadium (or select better stadium) - if you take a side like Blackpool all the way to the top leagues many seasons it seems silly that they still use the small stadium)
3. Bring back the unlockable content with the competitions (i.e. Start 4 goals down and win the match with only 10 players in Profesional mode) - these were fun
4. Be A Pro season - make this longer and more in depth i.e. it was too easy to become captain of both club and country (only took 1 season) - add questions like in manager mode to your player
5. Make winning a title more extravagant e.t.c. like accepting the trophy, fireworks, lap of honour e.t.c.

FIFA 09 NEEDS LEGENDS LIKE DIEGO MARADONNA AND PELE JUST TO NAME A FEW JUST LIKE THEY HAVE IN NBA LIVE. THAT WOULD BE A LOT OF FUN TO PLAY WITH LEGENDS. AND PUT PERU IN THE INTERNATIONAL LINE UP . in be a pro mode, make it like madden superstar where u could buy a house car shoes, party...negotiate contracts, talk to agents and endorsments.

Thats how madden 09 is and i don't know why fifa 09 doesn't have that when they get more sales worldwide than madden which only releases in U.S.

Champinship League License, Real sponsors on the sides like Ford, Gatorade, Sony..Etc..

Ok i just bought it and found some issues:
1.The faces of players are so rough graphically they look all alike personalize players.
2.In Latin american stadiums there are no chants those are the wildest ones add some flares n more excitement into crowd, they dont chant that much and are boring to hear.
3.Like I formally said INCLUDE COPA LIBERTADORES.
4.Include Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito.. They won libertadores 2008 and have better ranking than half the teams in game
5.Last make game a little harder to score on, defence is weak in all teams..and make the player's defence more fast.
If you fix this issues i will really enjoy this game a lot

Simple FIFA 09 dissapointed me big time because the same failure happens argentina only has River and Boca...second if you are going to include MLS which internationally its the worst national tournament might as well include best south american teams especially what bothers me is there is no copa libertadores...in FIFA 09 they also have the runner up from libertadores 08 yet the winner liga de quito is not there and they have better rank than River plate argentina so seriusly
INCLUDE A SOUTH AMERICAN TOURNAMENT I PREFER COPA LIBERTADORES because FIFA has always slacked on south america!

yesterday i bought fifa09 for my ps2 but there is no online connection i dont understand why its like that because i dont enjoy playing only with the machine.i need a fifa09 for ps2 that is on line.

i think you should have proper managers faces and all the players should go up to 99 after having good seasons

I think you should add international teams to the league mode and be able to play like your own world cup and for online on the wii be able to do away with DNF's(because sometimes i get disconnected and im winning the game and it counts as a lose.)and also for online be able to communicate more freely by typeing your responces to your friends or oppenents with the virtually keyboard.

Please when you guys make FIFA 2010, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE put ARMENIA in the INTERNATIONAL section

Another thing that annoys me is that I try and bid for a player in manager mode when I am Mamchester United and I try and bid for a player from Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and other teams it says the team does not have enough players on the squad, even when they are on the transfer market

You should be able to have all the hairstyles in the game as the players do-in 08 I wanted Fabregas' hairstyle and I cant get it! You should also put in all the boots that the players wear because I also wanted the Nike Air Legend Tiempo boots and I cant get them either. You should also make the release date later with the transfers and everything. You bring out a game with the correct lineups and squads, and then they all change in the new year.

Allow creating players from scratch to enable us to add the
players you haven't had the foresight to include, those that come up from the ranks, and
those transfered from leagues not appearing in the game...
We want the squads of our favourite teams to represent those appearing for the clubs.
As a Spurs fan Roman Pavlyuchenko, Frazier Campbell...
If there is a way of getting them it's not easy to find and squad updates aren't frequent enough

I have recently bought Fifa09 on Xbox360 version, and the thing that I am really angry about, is that their is no White Hart Lane on an Xbox360 and they have made it Ivy Lane, I have been robbed, I was expecting White Hart Lane to be on Fifa09, I mean such as Playstation 3 and Xbox360, there is loads of memory on that kind of thing, and there are no stadiums being made? White Hart Lane is not going to be their soon, they are making a new one, before they do make a new stadium, cant you just make White Hart Lane on Xbox360 and Playstation 3....

Because strangely, there is only White Hart Lane on Playstation 2? and I recently sold my PS2?

A complete and utter disgrace, I hope better for the FIFA 2010 Version, and I hope you bring us up to date as time goes by!!!

it would be a good idea if fifa used the same format as sensible world of soccer all leagues were available. u could make a bid for a specific player you wanted not just having players put in transfer central and thats your only option.also you should get offered managerial positions from other clubs when your doing well or even if you get sacked. and the final thing was at or near the end of your career you get offers to manage a national side were you have to play your qualifying games to make it into the world cup and european championships the best manager mode i have ever played you got totally engrossed in the game

In the arena, One goalkeeper, one player, If there are 2 person playing why one of them can be the golakeeper? or a secund player?

please take some more teams like iraq,india,indonesia, pakistan manager should be able to manage international teams .i dont know how to substitute a player.tell it in new column called rules.when the team wins the cup we cant see them celebrating . we cant see created players face properly. refree should be two one onfield & one on outfield

I think you should be able to go to the training ground and do a training session on be a pro season, it would make it more realistic

first of all i think you should of put Ronaldo- Brazilian becuase he is not retired yet and is one of the best how could you forget!!!!? you should have a call up to your national team on the maneger mode for the player that get called up to make it more realistc and see who wins a the world cup and have pracitce mode as a team on maneger mode. also the game difficulty should be alot more harder. champions league for europe and the americas.

I haven't played fifa 08 much but there something that EA must improve.
1)Commentary should be updated becoz it's same from 06 and not much interesting.
2)Yeah EA says they have included number of tricks, but problem is how to perform it in game, specially with keyboard, include help in game.
3)I don't know what 09 stores but in previous version, when year passes by and new player come in, commenter wouldn't speak those players name. It's ridiculous, specially when ur team is all full of new, young players. It happens when u finish 7-8 yrs of manager mode.
4)why stadium pays few money? Shouldn't big stadium, when full, should give high amount.
5)As in EA football manager, can't stadium be designed by us. I get sick when I have to simply update and get same stadium every time.
6)yep, creating own club doesn't have many options. I want club jersey to be more good, attractive not dull.
7)Just make option in team management in manager mode so that I don't have to switch players from reserve to first team. I mean if I want, reserver squad or under 21 etc squad then I have to switch every player to and fro.

it would be good to have teams of the past in e.g
Liverpool 70's and 80's
ajax 70's
many ex real madrid's,
barcelona's, ac and inter milan's
all great teams of the past

there should be inderect kicks

+You should be able to change squad numbers in manager mode-there is nothing more frustrating than signing a striker and he is automatically given the number 2 shirt.

+Also a good idea would be to have a stadium expansion pack that you can download the stadiums of your choice i.e. i am a rangers fan and would like ibrox in the game.

+Also being able to recall players from loans to cover fatigue and injury would be useful

+Also to include reserve/under21 teams as during a season many players progress from these teams to top team
