Winger

A Winger is an attacking player who is positioned in a wide position near the touchlines either at the right or the left side of the field.

In the modern football, wingers are classified as forwards or even sometimes as attacking midfielders. A winger's job is to breakthrough the opposing full-backs, deliver cut-backs or crosses from wide positions and, to a lesser extent, to beat defenders and score from close range. Wingers have good dribbling skills and they are usually some of the quickest players in the team as well. Technical skills and ability to create chances are also in their traits list.
