EA Sports FC 27 brings one of the biggest updates to Ultimate Team since the mode was introduced. Rather than focusing only on new player items and seasonal promos, FC 27 adds several new systems designed to improve long-term progression, reduce repetitive menu grinding, and give players more freedom when building their club. The headline additions include Gallery, 1-Click SBC, Campaign Hub, Evolutions 2.0 and Event Tokens.
Most of these features have already appeared in official EA preview material, while others have been showcased in preview builds and early gameplay footage. Together, they represent a major overhaul of the Ultimate Team experience both on and off the pitch.
FUT Gallery
Gallery is an entirely new collection system for Ultimate Team. Instead of leaving duplicate or unused players sitting in your club, you can add them to permanent collections based on clubs, leagues, nations, rarities, seasons, and custom categories.
Each collection contains a number of player slots that can be filled manually or instantly using the new Auto Complete option. Once completed, a collection can be graded based on the quality and combination of players used. Higher grades unlock better rewards, including coins, exclusive player items, cosmetics, and other club rewards.
Unlike Squad Building Challenges, Gallery is designed as a long-term progression feature that rewards collecting players throughout the season. It gives duplicate cards and lower-rated items an additional purpose beyond simply submitting them into SBCs.
1-Click SBC
Squad Building Challenges receive one of their biggest quality-of-life improvements yet. FC 27 introduces 1-Click SBC, allowing eligible challenges to be completed automatically with a single button press.
Instead of manually selecting eleven players, the game can automatically build the required squad using players from your club while respecting the SBC requirements. Players can also exclude important cards such as Evolution players, favourites, or First Owner items, preventing valuable cards from being submitted accidentally.
The new system dramatically reduces the time spent completing upgrade SBCs, repeatable challenges, and daily content, making menu grinding much faster than in previous titles.
Campaign Hub
Campaign Hub is a brand-new Ultimate Team menu that brings all live content together in one place. Instead of navigating through multiple tabs, players can quickly access current promotions, objectives, SBCs, Evolutions, milestones, rewards, and seasonal events from a single screen.
The hub is designed to make it easier to follow ongoing campaigns throughout the year, helping players track available content, claim rewards, and discover new activities without constantly searching through different menus.
Evolutions 2.0
Evolutions receive their biggest redesign since they were introduced. FC 27 expands the system by giving players significantly more control over how their footballers develop.
Instead of every player following exactly the same upgrade path, many Evolutions now include multiple branches. As you progress through an Evolution, you can choose different upgrade paths depending on how you want your player to develop. For example, one branch may focus on pace and dribbling, while another prioritizes defending, passing, or physical attributes.
Preview builds also suggest greater flexibility when upgrading players, making Evolutions feel more like building your own unique footballer rather than simply applying a predefined stat boost.
Event Tokens
FC 27 introduces Event Tokens as a new progression currency across selected Ultimate Team events and live campaigns. Tokens can be earned by completing objectives, participating in themed events, tournaments, and other live activities.
Rather than rewarding every player through the same objective path, Event Tokens allow players to unlock rewards based on their own priorities. Depending on the event, tokens may be exchanged for packs, player items, cosmetics, Evolution upgrades, or other exclusive content, giving players more flexibility in how they spend their rewards.
A Better Ultimate Team Experience
While Ultimate Team's core gameplay remains familiar, FC 27 places a much stronger emphasis on improving the experience away from the pitch. Gallery gives collectors meaningful long-term progression, 1-Click SBC removes hours of repetitive menu work, Campaign Hub keeps live content organized, Evolutions 2.0 offers far greater customization, and Event Tokens introduce a more flexible reward system.
Together, these additions make Ultimate Team feel faster to navigate, more rewarding to play throughout the year, and significantly more customizable than previous versions. Combined with the gameplay improvements introduced in FC 27, these features represent one of the most substantial updates Ultimate Team has received in recent years.
