FUT Birthday returns in EA Sports FC 26 to celebrate the anniversary of Ultimate Team with one of the most creative promos of the year. Instead of focusing purely on performance boosts, FUT Birthday introduces gameplay customization and major skill upgrades that transform how players perform on the pitch.
This year’s FUT Birthday campaign celebrates 17 years of Ultimate Team and introduces a brand-new customization system through Evolutions, allowing players to build unique FUT Birthday items with their preferred PlayStyles.
Duration
FC 26 FUT Birthday will run from March 6 to 20, giving players just over two weeks to pack FUT Birthday players, complete SBCs, participate in events, and evolve cards through the Birthday Bakery Evolution system.

Birthday Bakery Evolutions
One of the biggest changes in FC 26 FUT Birthday is the new Birthday Bakery Evolution system.
Unlike standard promo cards, FUT Birthday player items launch with 0 PlayStyles+ and 0 PlayStyles. Players can then customize their cards through Evolution tabs called Birthday Bakery.
- Add any PlayStyle you want to your FUT Birthday card
- Choose from all 30 outfielder PlayStyles
- Mix and match PlayStyles to create unique builds
- Upgrade cards with PlayStyle+ bonuses
By the end of the Evolution process, a FUT Birthday card can have:
- Up to 8 base PlayStyles
- Up to 2 PlayStyles+
This system allows players to tailor FUT Birthday cards to their own playstyle, creating completely customized Ultimate Team items.
New Icons and Heroes
FC 26 FUT Birthday also introduces several new Icons and Heroes to Ultimate Team:
- Gabriel Batistuta – FUT Birthday Icon
- Andrea Barzagli – FUT Birthday Icon
- Mario Mandžukić – FUT Birthday Hero
- Cristian Cambiasso – FUT Birthday Hero
Batistuta and Barzagli appear in Team 1, while Mandžukić arrives through SBC content. Cambiasso is expected to join the promo later during the FUT Birthday celebration.
After the first week of the campaign, their base Icon and Hero versions also enter the pack pool.

Why FUT Birthday Is Unique
FUT Birthday has always been a fan-favorite promo, but FC 26 pushes it further by combining skill upgrades with player customization. Instead of receiving fixed PlayStyles, players can now design their own FUT Birthday cards using Evolutions.
This creates one of the most flexible promo systems in Ultimate Team history and allows FUT Birthday items to remain competitive long after the promo ends.
