A game mode is a distinct setting/configuration that varies gameplay and affects how other game mechanics behave. FIFA franchises have different game modes since the beginning. For example, Kick Off mode in FIFA is a game mode which allows you to play a quick unranked single player match while Online Season mode is another game mode which is designated for online divisional matches.
