Denmark has produced some exceptionally talent footballers over the years. Most recently, world-class players include Christian Eriksen, Kasper Schmeichel and of course, Nicklas Bendtner.
The battle to be the best team in Scandinavia largely comes down between Denmark and Sweden, with the Danes currently higher in the FIFA rankings.
Will there be someone in the not so distant future that can propel Denmark to glory? FIFA games are normally a good indication of how players could progress. A lot of us just use our controllers to play with our heroes and compete against friends.
If you’re looking for an advantage in friendly competition you should look into a customized controller you can find some of the best ones listed on Cardmunch. Whether it is a desired football teams colour or extra support on your hand they review the best, to ensure that your management career FIFA 19 doesn’t fail like David Moyes at Manchester United.
So, who are the up and coming stars that you should be looking for when playing in career mode?
Jacob Bruun Larsen – LW (Overall- 72 Potential- 83)
This young Dane is plying his trade at Borussia Dortmund at present, alongside fellow wizkids Jadon Sancho and Christian Pulisic. If you purchase Larsen during career mode, you will be buying a player that is a speed merchant and has undeniable potential. He can play on either wing and has a £8.4 million release clause so will be available on the cheap.
However, his starting overall is only 72 so you will be buying him as an investment for their future. Once he gains first-team football his rating will continue to grow and his attribute of 75 dribbling will rise with that.
So far this season, he has three goals and two assists in eleven Bundesliga performances. He could be a dark-horse for a much higher rating in FIFA 20 should Dortmund win the league this season.
Victor Nelsson – CB (Overall 69 Potential 81)
Those that follow the Danish league will be very familiar with 20-year old Nelsson. He currently plays for FC Nordsjaelland and was named as their full-time captain at the beginning of the season. Despite starting at a modest rating of 69, he offers great potential, especially considering his strength attribute of 79.
He is an affordable investment as he has a release clause of £2.1 million and a weekly wage of £3,000- pennies should you be managing a Premier League outfit.
Nelsson isn’t small either, he stands at 6’1” and will likely be an aerial threat from attacking corners, as well as complying with defensive duties. Managers on career mode should snap him up quickly before he moves to another side.
Mikkel Damsgaard – CF (Overall 65 Potential 80)
Damsgaard is an 18-year old versatile right footed option for those looking for a skilful attacking player. He is a speed demon that can cut inside from the left or arrive deep from a central midfield position. Despite starting from a lower ranking, he again quickly rises to a solid 80 should he be used in the best formation and avoids injury.
Damsgaard is one of the brightest prospects in Denmark- both in-game and real life. The creative teenager has recorded six assists this season in 19 appearances, including three in Europa League qualifying.
For under £2 million, Damsgaard is one for the future and he could be a star. A name to remember.
Andreas Christensen – CB (Overall 82 Potential 89)
The Chelsea man is considered one of the best young defenders in world football and will be an option for those managers of already established big clubs with bigger budgets. He has a release clause of £47.8 million which is a hefty sum but should you wait to long, it’s likely that the figure will double.
Among his best stats are an 88 for his standing tackle and an 85 for standing tackle, an assured defender. Unfortunately for the Dane, he is yet to make a Premier League start this season under new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri despite being a regular last season for Antonio Conte.
Christensen is already a top-level defender and is worth the fee once you consider his potential rating, which would put him alongside the best defenders in the world on FIFA 19. Furthermore, within a few seasons, he is among the top rated Danish players in the whole game.
