Biggest Player Upgrade Predictions in EA FC 25

EA FC 25

Less than a month awaits until we lay our hands on the highly anticipated EA FC 25. While the spotlight shines on Haaland, Mbappe, or Vinicius Jr. to claim the coveted 91+ ratings, another exciting contingent of players deserves massive upgrades. But, as students might turn to MasterPapers.com – write my paper for me to improve their work, we have the work cut out to make predictions of massive player upgrades.

The 2023-24 season saw players set the pitch ablaze with their performances, thus making it hard to predict these upgrades. We’ve predicted which players are getting the highest upgrades, plus a contender who’s a Euro winner.

Victor Gyokeres: 75 > 82

We start off our list with a remarkable rise from the Championship to the top of the European ladder and a $100 million price tag on his head. Gyokeres came from Coventry City to Sporting Club, which went under the radar of many clubs. In his debut season, Gyokeres appeared in the Portuguese league with 43 goals in 50 appearances. His playing style is quite a unique asset most clubs in Europe are searching for in a forward. Capable of running channels, linking up play, and an eye for goal.

Moreover, he has picked up form from last season, netting a brace during their weekend fixture against Nacional. It’s no wonder why European giants are knocking on the doors for a potential transfer this summer.

Lamine Yamal: 0 > 83

Our first Euros winner is 16-year-old Catalan sensation Lamine Yamal. Interestingly, Yamal isn’t featured on EA FC 24 due to his young age. It remains a mystery whether he will feature in this year’s edition. EA Sports hasn’t officially confirmed his inclusion yet. However, sources suggest he could be featured in Ultimate Team and Career Mode. The official launch of EA FC 24 happens after his 17th birthday, and there’s a strong chance the wonderkid will make his FIFA debut.

The youngster ascended as a right winger for FC Barcelona and Spain. He played an integral part in Spain’s Euro campaign, with an absolute thunderbolt against France to secure their final spot.

Victor Boniface: 74 > 81

Xabi Alonso ended his former club’s 11-year winning record last season with an invincible season that saw Bayer Leverkusen lift the Bundesliga title. One standout performer who captured the eyes of many was Nigerian forward Victor Boniface. His stellar performances drew comparisons to some of the league’s finest strikers, with one masterpapers review of the season highlighting his impact as crucial to Leverkusen’s success.

Netting 22 goals from 31 matches was a good return from the versatile forward, deployed with multiple roles. Given his all-around attacking style, he is good with both feet, physically powerful, aerially able, and has a good dribbling ability. His clever movements and constant pressing are a problem for most defenses.

Artem Dovbyk: 70 > 80

Girona was the dark horse in last year’s La Liga title run, staying on top of the table for six weeks. This was a remarkable achievement for a club their stature, showcasing their strong performance that ended with a top-four finish and Champions League qualification.

The main threat for the side was Artem Dovbyk, who showcased good holdup, linkup play, and lethal scoring record. His physical presence, aerial ability, and clinical finishing made him a focal point for Michel’s side.
The superb display performance saw the 27-year-old Ukrainian earn a move to Atletico Madrid during the summer transfer window.

Cole Palmer: 66 > 83

PFA Young Player of the Season award winner Cole Palmer was Chelsea’s shining light last season. After securing a move from Manchester City, few expected the young England international to hit the ground running amid an unsettled Chelsea side under Mauricio Pochettino.

However, ‘Cold Palmer’ became a beacon of hope for the Blues, ending the season as the second-highest goal scorer behind Erling Haaland, with 22 goals. He finds himself under a new manager, Enzo Maresca, and potentially a new role as a No. 10.

Kobbie Mainoo: 62 > 79

Scoring at an FA Cup final against Manchester City in your debut season is something most 19-year-olds can’t brag about except Mainoo. The young midfielder clutched onto the season during the pre-season against Arsenal, where he showed manager Erik ten Hag he deserves a spot in the midfield. Given injuries to Mason Mount and a dip in form for Casemiro, he earned his chance at the start of the season and has never failed to impress since.

His incredible performances for the Red Devils soon earned him his first international call-up for England at the Euros. He earned some minutes in a heavily contested midfield and now has a nailed-on start for the Red Devils.

Ollie Watkins: 80 > 84

Aston Villa enjoyed a largely successful season under Unai Emery, earning them a top-four finish and entry to the Champions League for the first time. One standout player was Ollie Watkins, who won the Playmaker of the Season award after 13 assists and 14 goals.

He’s set for another run this season, with no transfer imminent from other top clubs. His versatility, aerial presence, and good linkup play make him a definite starter for Villa this season.

Ricardo Calafiori: 71 > 79

It’s not the Arsenal transfer hype that made us pick the former Bologna defender for an upgrade. Rather, the excellent performances during the Euros made him a sure upgrade on our books. Calafiori struggled to find foot at Roma after a horrible leg injury he missed throughout the year. A permanent move to FC Basel was seen as a good move. But Thiago Motto brought him to Bologna due to his unique playing style as an aggressive, ball-winning defender capable of being employed in the left-back role.

His assist to Mattia Zaccagni after dribbling from defense to attack earned him a transfer to Arsenal under Mikel Arteta. His versatility, defensive awareness, and driving force bring an added asset for the Gunners in their bid for an EPL title this season.

Honorable Mention: Joshua Zirkzee

After a debut goal against Fulham, Joshua Zirkzee looks set for another upgrade. The former Bayern Munich forward is bound to find his footing at Manchester United. Given that he is not an out-and-out striker, he is pace, creative, and aerially advantageous to the Red Devils.
