I reckon in 09 there should be a part on Xbox Live where everyone can play as their Manager Mode teams online. It’s bad at the moment because you can’t play as your Manager Mode team online.

Gameplay, Gameplay, Gameplay…
u can hardly dribble in 08. When a player cuts, it takes them so long to go that way. Players also never use their body or arms to hold off a defender. I love the new trick stick thing, but make these moves more useable in the game, the defenders never fall for these moves. the defenders need to fall for the fake shot more too. look at how the defence in the EPL slides/dives in to try and block the shot leaving the fake shooter with space.

unlimited exp points for create a player, no cut scenes, refs and linesmen, way better celebrations, quicker reactions by the players and by the push of a button you get complete goalkeeper control

Manager Mode : Have the U21 World Cup tournaments, To give young players more experienced and join bigger clubs, eg Mark Noble to Chelsea, Show the top scorers in the world u21 cup and World cup tournaments and give the top scorer a boost in Overall just like World Player of the year, Ballon d’Or etc, Players must evolve, I looked at AC Milan after 3 years and only Kaka and Pato had improved? Also some players are very underrated, How is Mark Van Bomell 83 and Gattusso is 81?

- different kickoff times and more weather conditions ( night, snow, hot, cold…etc)
- reffere on the field
- MVP
- show warming up players and coaches on the sideline
- I noticed that, when creating a player and after saving his face, his physique is changed when I play him. Fix it!
- Season Tickets on top of regular ones
- more sponsor and their logos on the uniform and it’s placement ( shirt, shorts, socks etc )
- Job offers for the manager
- banners, flags, confetti
- more interaction with a crowd, jumping over the bans
- soccer camps during off season
- more defined injuries like broken leg or bleeding eyebrow

I believe that the fifa 2001 and fifa 2002, were the best fifa versions untill now…
Fifa 2001 have the best representation wtith these superb and rich popups :
1) First of all THE PLAYERS NAMES SHOW UP WITH THE PLAYER ON THE BALL , FOR BOTH TEAMS (USER AND CPU) , something very important for the overal game feeling, that the player derive,especially when the player have create his own rosters.
2) Rich in game popups : Cards statistics, goalkeeper saves, ball possesion, injury reports, fouls commited, etc….
3) Very very clean 3d image with low requirements, in few words delightfull, plus the one and only powerfull in game editor….
Fifa 2002 was the revolution :
1) Magnificent AI , take the game many steps ahead in quality, and in combination with a glorius gameplay (ballspin left and right, player runs/keeper charge), brings into the game the much desired REALITY, and transform the game in to a real footbal strategy game, while the player finally has the only stable parameter for the every match result : UNKNOWN!
2) Stunning representation of the pitch size, with combination of perfect representation of the gras, take the player into a REAL football match….
Another perfect ingame editor, with extra feautures in personally player charecterisics…
If the Fifa 2002 version had the fifa 2001 popup system, it would be the perfect version of fifa of all time…
I believe that the manager mode belong in the “manager series” of EA SPORTS.
These are perfect games too, but in another category.
The real ACTION football game is the FIFA series, and mainly the fifa 2002 version, which is for my eyes the best fifa ever….
PS : The best editor for fifa was the creation master 07, with the fantastic “database function” …

for the new fifa 09 they should use the “BE A PRO” mode and expand on it. for example you should be able to select one player and go through seasons upon seasons as just playing as that selected player, but u should only be responsible for yourself and nothing else like formations, finance and new signings. You should be able to progress and if u put good performances in each match it should open doors to u and other clubs want to purchase you for the next transfer window or whatever. Basically u start from the bottom and work your way to the top. Personally i would find this fun and more real. Last but not least i would like it if they improved the be a pro camera view cause it can be hard to focus when the camera constantly moves and drags across the pitch.

Santiago Bernabeu must be in the game. There should be more players in the squad to the world eleven. Also to the classic eleven. And The shirts to these teams must look like real footballshirts, so they should be made by Adidas or Nike or Puma, well you get the point. New classic players Platini, Zidane, Maradona (he must be inte game because that would be so much fun), Pelé (him too), Gunnar Nordahl, Gunnar Gren, Nils Liedholm, Van Basten, Cruyff, Bernd Schuster (just for fun), Alfredo Di Stefano (him Maradon and Pelé, very important)
The grass is not good at all. It has to look more green and when you see the grass from short distance then it has to look totally natural and even.

i think on the new fifa when you create a player there should be a scan option for us xbox 360 gamers with live vision that is all. also i think the fans should be wearing their teams football strip and they need to jump up n downn when you score. and stand up when your near goal. thats all but fifa 08 is cracking

- I think that you should be able to create a new stadium if the team you pick in a manager mode stadium sucks.
- Also let us do a season or manger mode on Be A Pro.
- When a big transfer happens, make be in newspaers and have interviews with the players.

I have been playing FIIFA for 10 years now and think that it is time to improve the goalkeeping movement and make goalkeepers more controlable. I allso think that the goalkeepers should play like their abbility rating suggests they should e.g. Buffon(Italy) has an ability rating of 90 but is not much better than Ricardo(Portugal) who only has an ability rating of 77.
In conclusion, i think that in order to fulfill the FIFA experience Goalkeepers should be controlable like the goalkeepers on EAs NHL have been for the past few years.

copy what Konami does with pro evolution and make a separate program to assign controls. If the controller issue isn’t fixed in 09, I’ll never buy an EA product again. this is easy stuff.

when creating and editiing players you should be able to choose from all the boots, dont make them have to be unlocked through those game mode situations and, manager modes etc

- Let players move towards ball when its coming to them.
- Registered clans with be a pro leagues, (5 on 5 matches but with table cup etc)
- in manager mode when you upgrade stadium it gets bigger.

Fifa is a fantastic game, it would be great to see some of my suggestions used.
Iv been buying fifa every year now since fifa 99 (with dennis bergkamp on the front), iv been hooked ever since, and bought most of the champions league or euro or world cup games to.

everything in football should be included in fifa 2009, EA SPORTS ‘IF ITS IN THE GAME! ITS IN THE GAME!
-also make injuries more effective, this could be brought about as i said before by professional fouls and aggresive computer A.I in certain games, - ADD THIS !! - stretchers, commentators talking about the injury after the players has left the field, longer lay offs from play ie months not just weeks, slower recovary ie when they do come back from injury they dont get back to full fitness or full overall rating until they have played a few games.
-it would be great to have a reserve team and league, not controlled by you but you could higher an assitant to do that, that would add extra depth.

-games such as carling cup, and champions league games should be played at night, or at least dusk settings,
-there has to be neutral venues for cup finals, other wise its ruins the whole games realisim
-bring in things like on the game fifa world cup 2006, were you got glimpses of the managers on the side lines. On most fifa games you sometimes get a camera shot of an empty bench, why not add players to that and some staff etc.
-transfers, this needs to become more detailed, you should be able to negotiate differently and with greater depth, ie not just offering money before playing a game and then seeing whether your bid was accepted, transfers should be able to be done between games, and also different types of transfer, eg. payment over time or specific loan spells(youth players often go away on loan for 3months), also you should be able to trade, eg i could offer 10million plus bridge to sign samuel eto
-you should be able to select the apperance of your clubs current manager or create your own, meaning.. you could select to have the apperance of avram grant etc, and you could perform interviews and what not after games or before big games as your clubs manager from the angle of press reporters,(not just a paragraph as it is now, and you have to select a reponse, this becomes tedious after a while, as what ever answer your give does not affect the game)
-alot of games these days boast about A.I, it would be good for fifa to follow suit and dramatically increase this side of the game. imagine in a crunch game eg. Man Utd vs Liverpool the computer could play more aggressivly this would really raise the realisim of fifa 09
-the crowd are fairly good at the moment, but it would be good to have extra volume and a clear difference between the two sets of fans, banners, replica kit worn etc
-i would guess it would be hard to do, but commentators really should have more of a
clue, they should be disscussing how your seasons gone,recent form, not just coming out with the same one liners over and over
-bring back the button options such as professional foul, and diving and other dirty tactics such as shirt pulling, i know its not welcome in the real life game, but it is amusing to have in a computer game and the proffessional foul button is fun when messing about with mates in multiplayer modes
-more stadiums, i know you cannot give us every premiership ground, but their are a
few absenties that i would love to see, stade de’ france, white hart lane or goodison park or city of manchester stadium(get rid of st james’s park, they’re not a big club anymore), the bernabau(were was that this in 08?), one of the turkish clubs grounds, a ground from russia, basically just put in some stadiums from the smaller football countries.
-they’re used to be a youth academy on fifa, bring that back.
-you should be able to higher back room staff, physio etc.
-there is not any cross over between international and clubs on fifa, make it so in manager/career mode their is also international games at the same time, you could choose to rest players if an international coach asks you to for example, and players should go away for in season tournaments eg the african nations cup, players such as didier drogba would be a loss to your side and it would make career/manager mode that much more realistic and challenging if you players.
-also concerning managerial stuff, you should get job offers and get offered the top jobs or the international jobs, you shouldnt be able to just select which clubs you take over(however you should be able to select who you want to be in your first season,ie you can be a top club, but from their onwards you must take offers)
-if you make the emphasis of fifa 09 on the career mode make it as detailed as possible then i believe it will reguvintate the football game genre, i feel EA splits its football games up to much, what with seperate games for each tournament obviously for money purposes, but why not put all of them (except for the world cup game), into fifa 09 and onwards, and i think people will like that as it gives them the complete football package

i think the commentators should change theyre commentating in every single game because when you do the career mode it gets a bit boring and more relistic camera shoots. what annoys me when ure doing career mode you are not aloud to buy of arsenal liverpool or cheelsea players but they are aloud to buy of you which isnt faire. they should let you do champions league for the first season and instead of having 2 wait intill the 2nd season and also what annoys me aswell is that in ure first season you can be a really gd team like man u chelsea etc and 2nd season yo have to be a champpionship club or lower and i would like to see the referee running about on the pitch and not just pop upwhen u or opposition team commit a faul they should also do better cup tournaments like like euro 2008 and world cup 2007 or even world cup 20010 qualifiers what i would love to see is a womens league that would be so cool and a under 21 where you can manage england under 21 and get young talented players to the senior england squad and also would be good to see the manager get up from the stands and start shouting out orders to the players and when a player gets injured it would be a seriose one and bit liek pro evowhere qhere you can see the player getting strecthered off and more real life graphical subsitutes aswell. and this better be on a ps2 version!!!

if ronaldiniho goes to chelsea in the summer he should be on the front of the case with a chelsea top on. also the tranfers should be better so they should do medicals and you see them sign a contact for the club

-it would be cool if the non-european rules applied to all the european teams like in real life how only a certain number of non-european players can be in a team for example, if u can only have 5 non-EU players and you try to buy six, you cant buy the sixth one
-with the graphics When a player scores a goal i hate to see how a goalkeeper doesnt jump. he just stretches his hand and doesnt even jump, you should make it jump so it adds more excitement to the game
-in manager mode When you try to buy a player from another team you can only offer money but u should add that we could also do trades example: I want to buy Cristiano Ronaldo so i would offer Alexandre Pato plus 5 million dollars
-in manager mode we should also be able to get players on loan even though theyre not on loan because everytime i try to get a player on loan it always tells me that they are looking to sell him not to buy him
-The injuries should be more realistic like a player gets injured so they show when hes taken off in a stretcher and hes out for the longest and it actually affects the team like in morale
-I dont get it how some youth players in manager mode dont grow to be good, for example the Mexican 2005 U-17 World Cup Winners arent even that good in the game and they dont even grow to be good like Cesar Villaluz, Patricio Araujo and all those players but not just from that tornament but also from 2007 also the U-19, U-21 etc..
-There should be more Leagues on the game, instead of having four English leagues have the Argentinian league, Greek, Ukranian, Mexican 2nd division…etc.
-In manager mode when scouting, we should be able to choose in which country we want to look in not just in the continent…like me i always put the Americas to get a Mexican or US player but always get a Brazilian or Argentinian player.
-another thing is where we get to create our own player and start off in scratch as a youth and as time goes by we get better deals like a raise or a offer from teams like Barcelona, Man U..etc
-The thing that i think is most anoying in Manager mode is that the only teams that try to buy your players are Arsenal and Liverpool which souldnt be like that , it should be more realistic like how Madrid and Barca are trying to get all the good players and how Man U always gets the talented young players
-There sould also be a FIFA World Club Cup tournament, and I know that theres not a champions league from America, Asia Africa in the game but ramdomly selest a team from these continents that are in the game and put them in the tounament
-In manager mode it should also be realistic in the table positions like how when I play in the premier league, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, or Chelsea always finish at the bottom of the table even though they are the best teams in europe and should be finishing in the top teams. And when it comes to scoring in theleaderboard there is never any good player in the top of the scoring chart becaus there are always weak players atop the chart
-In manager mode we should also be able to pick our Team kits at the end of the season because it is kind of dumb how we have to have the same kit for 15 years
-It would be even better in manager mode for when it comes to time for international competition that more that 3 players should be able to go to the game and there should be more than just 2 international games per season and the players miss weeks or even months of playing for the club because they are with the International teamwhen it comes to: EURO 2008, World Cup, and Qualifyers..etc
-It would also be cool that after every international game there would be like a report of who scored because it would be cool to see that your player scored a goal in a free kick or penaltyor or if he commited a foul and the other team got a penalty for it and for when it comes to the world cup, EURO 2008 you get to see which team won it, who scored how many goals and the Overall goes up for the players who were in the tournament winning team or the ones who got far on the tournament like the semis, quarter finals
-In manager mode a player should be able to request a transfer when he doesnt get played that much like it is in Arsenal. and it would be cool if you would get messages from players who are interested in joining your club like Sergio Ramos sends you a message saying that he likes the way you train and would like to be coached by you
-More national teams
-The crowd has to be more realistic and they should scream even louder when you score a goal in stoppage time or you beat your rivals and you should see the manager and players sitting on the bench next to the field. Also there should be banners, they should sing songs, jump, chant a players name
-When we are creating a player we can choose its celebration like a famous player like we can put a created player to dance like Ronaldinho
-We can create our own goal celebration
A player looks older as the manager mode season progresses
-We should be able to create our own stadiums
-In manager mode at the end of the season, there should be a report where it shows the top scorers in every leagus, best goalkeepers and there should also be the trophys like the Golden Boot, World Player of the Year, Ballon d’Or, EU team of the year where it is kind of like in UEFA .com where you get to see the best manager, best LB, best STRIKER etc.. like team of the season and if a player wins these awards he gets a boost in his Overall and price

Here are my thoughts on FIFA 09 (in no order);-
1. Referee and linesmen.
2. World Cup.
3. More interaction with the fans i.e celebrations..even thowing ball back.
4. More bench action…i.e managers in there box, subs warming up…etc
5. More stadiums.
6. Goalkeepers in real kits and gloves.
7. Better celebrations including signiture ones i.e Nani’s flip, Cahill’s boxing the flag, and Rooneys rather angry punching and kicking…etc
8. When it comes to finals, make sure there in neutral stadiums i.e FA Cup = Wembly.
9. Better fouls, harsher injurys, diving, elbows, handballs and more general play that happens in football.
10. More leagues i.e Greek, Argentine..etc and the possibility of 6 a side or indoor football tournament, it hasnt been done in nearly 11years! FIFA 98!!!!

5. online manager mode: you play in a world league with others in real life, each managing your own team, making transfers, and even playing each other when the opportunity arises.

1. be a pro season mode, where you play as your player through seasons
2. manager mode improvements: more time for transfers, longer space between games,
youth academy, etc.
3. indoor soccer mode (5v5 or something along those lines)
4. gameplay fixes: goalies, change player response, tackle effectiveness (so one player isn’t tackled three times on one play, regaining the ball everytime to be 1v1 with the keeper)

I love the fifa series and with these ideas included in 09 it would make this game so much better
-Alot more stadiums im sick of playing at the estadio les artes
-(Manager Mode)- include the champions leage
-Create a career mode like in madded the superstar mode. It would be insane to create yourself become a legend and play in the world cup and also do interviews after games.
-Better cut scenes when someone socres,have better celebrations like jumping into the crowd. I’m sick of seeing only the defenders celebrating wiht the person that scores.
-Better fans, i wanna see team banners and the fans reactions when you score.
-in the fan shop, different variations of cleats i dont liek how they only have red lasers.
- the sidelines- show the coaches and players warming up on the sidelines.

FIFA 08 has some gameplay flaws, which I think should not be complicated to improve:
- Let the player who is receiving a pass, be able to move towards the ball before getting it. Sometimes with through passes, the player will even be running with the ball behind him (instead of going for the ball or at least waiting for it), and the defender just cuts in front easily. It’s ridiculous and frustrating.
- Through passes (especially overhead through passes) are very ineffective in this version. The ones sent above, are ALWAYS won by a defensive header.
- Put less skill moves, but make them easier to perform as well as more effective to shake off defenders (like in FIFA 06).
- Don’t allow injuries to be shaken off after a little while, as is always the case now.
- Let the passing to be quicker. Many times the player takes too long to release the pass, especially when making forward runs.
- The reaction of the player is TOO slow when making turns or changing directions. Most real life players are more explosive than that.
- I meant to mention only my gameplay suggestions, since I think these are the key to a succesful game, but one last comment would be to fin a way to force online players to use a wider variety of teams (find a way to incentivize the use of smalle teams or limit the times certain teams a player can use). All I see is people basically using about 5 or 6 teams (Barcelona, R. Madrid, M. United, Arsenal, Milan and Inter), and that just makes it a bit tedious.
