Each team being controlled by 11 players each, A bit hectic fo the server and probably for the users but if you can get the user of the game to be actually or if not that make them feel like a player themselves to come home from school or work to train or play to represent their club,
This would be like creating a new game platform. And you can also make the players be transfererable like the players now, And you could make a special entry for the real players who would feel leftout of the online fun, just like how a user would feel leftout in real life, And give the created players some official boots or something close to it. Fifa 08 on next-gen consoles has got alot of basic problems that could of easily have been fixed before the release:
1) Hardly any stadiums, not even the bernabeu.
2) Every team that hasnt got their own stadium has the same shitty one.
3) No rain and no change of seasons.
4) No wembley for FA cup/League cup.
5) No european tournaments in first season.
6) No World cup.

FIFA is cheating us on some of the basics. There needs to be more clubs from around the world. How else are we supposed to do a world club championship? They never put in african club teams and I cannot believe they never put in argentine teams or other asian clubs that regularly go to the world finals. You should be able to do the world club championships. At least a person should be able to create enough teams on their own to play some of these tournaments. The software should have enough memory when creating players/clubs so that when I create more than 16 clubs, simple functions like team management, formations and saves do not get screwed up.

The national teams are a joke. There are no carribean teams? The list of African teams is pathetic. There should be at least 16 african teams so one can play an african cup of nations tournament. Africa is no longer a continent in which 5 teams dominate. FIFA needs to bring their African team selection into the 21st century. Tell me this, when creating your own tournament, does FIFA still have group winners and runners up in the same group play each other in the next round? That made me so mad. They deliberately have this screwed up so you have to buy their world cup game and the regular fifa game.

Put everything together and charge a bit more. I don’t want to buy two separate softwares! These are fundamental problems that need to be fixed. I will not buy another FIFA game until they fix these problems.

also i agree with many others, the fans ‘need’ to be more realistic, both appearance-wise and vocal wise. perhaps programme a range of the clubs songs for the fans to sing, and when a player scores they should run up to the fans and hug them.

definately consider having better youth academys in manager mode, afterall its all about home grown talent!

lastly, ‘create a player’ should be more detailed enabling you to create a player almost identical to yourself.

must do celebration ceremony after winning a cup !! in manager mode other clubs must offer to buy your player without you having to put them for sale , to makr it more realistic. and it mustnt be your decision to just say yes or no for him yo stay or go , it must also depend on the player, like his morale and how much game time he is getting and if the other club is willing to pay alot for him, then he can just say he wants to go even when you said no..

u should be able to actually have the referee in the game coz u never see him in the match same with the lines men and they should put their flag up for offside etc like in pes 2008

also u should be able to fully customize ur kit like in pro evo 5. fifa customisation of kits isnt all that.

also there should be a training session for your player in be a pro and manager mode so u can work on ur players stats. for example a headering exercise where u move the anolg stik to get into position and move the right anolog stick for where the ball goes and circle for power. also when u have taken enough free kicks wich go on the goal in training, ur free kick skill should get better.

also u should be able to play for 45 minutes each way max. not 10 mins.

also customizing formations is way too difficult. and u cant customize before a match.

also in be a pro. u should start with a rubbish club and have to work ur way up. a bit like captain ur country.

More Leagues like the scottish lower divisions and England’s Blue Square Premier division. also, at the start it shows the referee and who he is, but he isn’t in the actual gameplay, then he appears for freekicks etc. why?

I think a way to increase game play for EA Sports is, instead of choosing difficulty level, the player has to start of playing a countries lower league at first and then as either they a) get better because of their Experience Points (earnt in Be a Pro etc) or another option b) as the progressively get better at the game, they can choose better leagues (or stay with the same team because there stats have all got better to be able to compete in that new league). - Just a thought!?

That and the Pass speed plus becpoke button configuration will pull fooball fans from your rivals, because that and the visible ref is the difference.

Oh yeah …….add the managers on the touch line in the managers and subs bench (not all stadiums) shouting and movin up and down the touch line. Would look great!!!

Why dont you make a “solo career” option. You control 1 player and the mission is to go from youth club to a famous ig club…. getting better for each season you have to make a new contract with our old club or play as well as other clubs will buy you.. that could be fun!

i think you should be able to have a laptop in manager mode like LMA managers, there players can send you email about if they are happy with the club or any injury problems picked up in training, etc. also in the half time you should be able to be the manager in the changing room and be able to pick from an assorted selection of options like ” try to tire them out” and “one touch passing” this way you teams morale should go up or if it doesnt work go down, after the match you should have like match highlights with the presenters, and they should bring in special guests like tony adams etc. during that they talk about the league, how players are forming, and the good and the bads with a bit from a replay showing you them setting up a goal or brilliant tackles etc. in manager mode you should be able to pick what players do what type of training, i also have alot more ideas like atmosphere of crowd and that but most have been said in some threads below,

I think there should be a be a pro manager mode it would make the game more realistic and the player that you pick gets offered bid to sign the player

1) On a breakaway, a keeper brings a player down. That should be a penalty. But in the game, it’s nothing. Please change this

2). On a Penalty kick, the rulebook says the kicker can not touch the ball a second time until the ball is touched by a second player. So When a penalty kick bounces off the goalpost, the kicker can not touch it again. However, in FIFA 08, this is not a violation. Please change this also.

In Manager Mode if you start with say Manchester United or Lyon e.t.c. you should start off in the champions league aswell because it never puts you in on the first season you have to play one then qualify,

also make headers and corners and free kicks more scoreable, sometimes they are impossible.

Shots and ball trajectory and bend hdipping and float through the air more realistic

one more thing - everyone feels excited when a new player is bought, how about having an instance as soon as the new player is bought like having a shirt giving procession like in real life. the manager handing a new striker his number nine shirt. that would make new buys so much more exciting.

in manager mode something nice would be if you become successful as a manager, other clubs should make offers for your services. that would be more like the real world. another thing is there is no trade transfers which would also make manager mode more fun. How about a manger for international teams also - helping the team reach the world cup, euro etc. Enhancing the manager mode would make 09 alot of fun.

when you get promoted, win a cup or the leage you should get the real life amount of money. also if you finish in top half you should get money
i find it so hard to make money, have weekly salary, the board gives you a big sum of money during the summer transfer window and if the club is not doing amazing in january you should be able to e-mail the board to ask for money.

I also had an idea of making manager mode interactive where you could choose a team to manage and you actually have to play against other online players to win the title, also when the transfer market comes around on this interactive version of manager mode, you are put up to the test of bidding for players against other actual online players and even having to accept/decline offers for your players that have been made from the other online players.

plus after a season at a team you can unlock this item which lets you change all the kit cause to be real after 5 seasons as madrid i can hardly see them having the same shirts

In the next fifa game, i think you should be able to re-design kits and shirt sponsers because after 6 years of manager mode with one team you still have to play in the same old kit.

- How about the possibility to cancel a succesful transfer? This allows one to bid on 2 players without the risk of accidentally signing them both.

And/or:
- Immediately know if your bid was accepted (but still transfer after the next match).
This way you know if it makes sence to continue bidding on a player without wasting 1 or more weeks.

As I see it the ‘ (succesful) buy’ and ’sell’ players are listed after the match and you can select which transfers proceed. (Like it is done in 06 and 07 for players in your squad only).
- It ‘d be nice to have more data available when there is a bid on one of your players. I’d like to check his contract and growth expectation and maybe my entire squad before deciding to accept or decline an offer.

I think for the next FIFA game you should be able to edit the players with unlimited points because in the current version you have limited points. Also it would be great if you could do a superstar mode like Madden were you create a player and then you go through the life of a player.

Firstly the referee should be on the pitch the whole game. Its jst annoyin that he somehow appears to give a yellow card for a foul or something. Secondly there should be alot more stadiums. Why not have them all instead of everyone but the top four teams playing at the stadio del artes or woteva it is. Like the City of manchester stadium, the bernabeu, goodison park. i think that in manager mode the money given should be more realistic like real madrid dnt only have £50 million to spend on tranfers. u should be able to do trade a player for another plus money or resist selling the player at all things like, dat would happen in a real transfer. they should do a proper transfer window cause you dnt get enough time to buy the players you wont cause you only ever have 4 weeks as in a real transfer you would have couple of months and if you are done you could simulate so u dnt have to go through every day of the transfer, so you can take time to sort everything else out. and you should be able to go bunkrupt!!

National Team management with full squad selections, like back on the old FIFA 1998: RTWC, starting from the qualifiers, working your way through the European Champs and the World Cups, as well as Home Nation and Summer Friendly Tournaments, like the old Le Tournoi from 10 or so years ago. Get reports back from the domestic league from the National team you are managing, saying who is good and who isn’t, then take the strongest squad through the international campaigns.

Option of having full control of training. Control your players during training methods, and successful completion should be rewarded with Player Growth Points.

Stop making Internation games clash with important club games. It’s not how it works. England games never clash with Premier League games. I had 3 of my best players missing for the FA CUP final because of an England Friendly.

The Japanese J League! One of the best leagues in the world is missing! The J League needs to be on the game, as well as the Japanese stadiums as some of them are amazing.

A choice of different commentators and pundits, as hearing the same voice over and over is grating. I play the game with mute on these days, as I’m sick of Clive Tilsley and Andy Gray waffling on.

Better crowd reactions. I’ve hit the post and had shots go inches wide or had one-on-ones saved, and the crowd was silent. Also, away fans are alot louder in real life than they appear on Fifa. Away goals still require a crowd response. Also there needs to be a neatral crowd response in cup finals. It seems to be the first team on the fixture is treated as the home team, even if the game is being played at Wembley.

you should make goalkeepers more real, the reazon is that the goolkeepers dont jump towards the ball wen it is at mid air resulting in to goal. please correct this mistake that should not happen

i would like to see more stadiums and I would like to see it that when you pay your stadium manager to improve a stadium you can choose what you want doing and have a massive range of choices to how the stadium looks, the facilities and the pitch and the seat colours. I would also like to see commentators say the name of the teams that are playing not things like “and its going to be a win for THIS team” I would like to see the ref on the pitch aswell and i would love to have the option of diving when being tackled. I think it would be good to actually see the stretcher come on the pitch too and have interviews with the manager with more options on things to say. I would also like to see friendly matches in the season mode aswell this will give a good chance for out better players to recover.

I think there should be something like motd like somebody has spoken or even a news flash or something like that.

Put in more english stadiums please. Stop with all the matches being played at Estadio de las artes in Manager Mode and put in Villa Park, White Hart Lane, city of manchester stadium, riverside stadium, fratton park and others to. Also change the conditions during a match so it affects the way the match is being played. Change the days and times of the matches being played in Manager Mode so you don’t play all your league matches on a Saturday. Have practice matches before a new season on manager mode.

He should have his unique style of kicking free-kicks and penalty shots, as well as his unique style of celebrating a goal. (He impersonates the Azteca Emperor Cuauhtemoc). His overall should be at least 84 or higher. (He might be old, but he hasn’t lost any gameplay at all, on the contrary he is only improving.)

Argentinean League:
- This is one of the most competitive leagues today, so it should be on the future games to come.

World Cup for Clubs Championship:
- This is the second most important tournament in all of soccer. (First, of course is the FIFA World Cup.) This tournament allows only the best teams from each continent to participate and battle for the Trophy that pretty much says for itself, “Your the best in the World”

the inclusion of paul gascoigne on fifa 08 was a very nice touch as in my opinion he was the most naturally gifted dribbler ever. however in fifa 09 upon achieving certain things on career mode legends from the user team should become available. e.g if playing as birmingham city after say winning the first division martin grainger would be unlocked

why cant a player get a straight red on fifa 08! nd why do the softest tackles recive more yellow cards then the rough tackles, the same with freekicks and penalties.

what i dnt understand about fifa 08 is why is harder to score headers with someone with high head accuracy’s, than it is with someone with a weak head accuracy.
why is it easier to score freekicks with someone who has low freekick accrucy than with someone with higher freekcick accruacy.
e.g. beckham has freekick accuracy of about 94 or something, but u take freekicks with him, even if you use little power and the right techniques, it always goes over, but were as u take a freekick with a player like ashley cole or someone like that it usually goes in. i find this very annoying nd would like to see this change in fifa 09. also why can a player with running speed of 70 catch a player easy with a player with 85 and above. nd why do the stupidiest headers and shots always go in. like i was to miss header a the ball the keeper would always dive away, or underneath the ball when the ball goes into the top corner or somewhere else.

I believe it was mentioned already, but I would definitely like it if there were more stadiums,, especially MLS stadiums,, particularly Dick’s Sporting Good’s Park . It is a sweet stadium and deserves to be a part of the game. I wish that there would be more shots of the stadium too and the crowd. Another thing that wouldn’t be bad is to hopefully see that new Seattle MLS team on the next one (the team that drew carey is going to own),, that is if they are up and running by then.

Most importantly, I know EA Sports have a tendency to make the game favor the AI…examples being -

You’ll probably get 2 free kicks out of 10 sliding tackles/fouls by your opponent, yet you’ll most likely give away 6 free kicks out of 10 slight nudges and “nothing tackles”. Sorry, but that’s just not right or realistic. (F1 Championship Edition is another example of EA’s love of bias towards the AI)

Player looks - I’m not asking for every player to look exactly like they do IRL, but c’mon…at least get the hair right… It’s a pet peeve, we’re onto the PS3/360 now…there are NO excuses for laziness.

A full World Cup/European Championships Tournament instead of having to go through Tourny Creator. Champions League and UEFA Cup from the start in Tournament Mode too please. They don’t appear to be there.

Bring back Cup Winner celebrations, the teams holding the cup and getting their photos taken etc.

Linesmen and Referees on the pitch during matches, I’m sure it can be done. Subs passing each other when they change too.

One thing I noticed (on Ipswich Town at least) is during video sequences before, during and after the game, there appear to be the players number on the front of the shirts.

The free kick system needs to be overhauled massively, not returned to the simplicity of 05/06, but just made better.

The ability to change your captain during the match if you take him off, instead of just making his replacement captain. That’s not how it works.

Contract negotiations need to be sorted, they need to be sorted so you don’t lose the ability to negotiate an extension until the end of the season if you fail. Again, that’s just not how it works.

It would be cool to be able to pick teams like in school. Like there are 30 players and you take turns to choose then play.

The fact the goalkeeper only comes to collect a lose ball when he going to get it.so if ur in a 50-50 with one ull always lose out.Penos-Aim corner do near full power keeper will never say it..unrealistic..Same as others have said bout the final at netural stadiums…….see subs runnin by each other when coming off/on..subs warming up…see manager/ref/linesmen maybe randomly ref gets injured 4th offical has to come on{bit to much i suppose],..oh the CL matchs need to be at night to!!!!

Fifa 07 on the PS2 had so much depth. The youth players coming through was fantastic, as was international selections robbing you of you’re players and risking them getting injured. More emphasis needs to be on AI transfers to keep the game varied, i find myself playing against virtually the same sides in the premiership 6 or 7 years down the line. Pre-season friendlies are always good, also the injuries need to last longer, i can’t remember having a player out for more than a couple of games. We need to have people out for 3 or 4 months now and then so you have to adapt your squad like a real manager. Also the ease at which you can tackle somebody is appalling. Its set up so if you use a skill, you may get past but if you’re just trying to outrun somebody, you will never succeed. Another nice touch would be a simpler way of selecting between vollies and headers so you can choose to either go for a safe nod or a spectacular over the head kick. Many thanks

another thing i find frusrating is when a player recives a cross to his foot and you press shoot the player always controls it then shoot. this is frustrating cause i’ve missed so many chances because of this and it gives the goalkeeper time to recive the ball but in real live when a player recives the ball on his foot he would take a shoot straight away only if his infrony of goal. i would like to see better hairstyles cause to many player look the same and it is irritating!

Please consider the following points for fifa 09:

1. When you get to a cup final in the english leagues it should be played at Wembley not your home ground.
2. More weather conditions - rain, snow, wind
3. Better use of the crowds - i.e make them jump and wave when someone scores not just sit as static pictures
4. When you scored a goal in Fifa 07, especially at home, the sound was fantastic - almost deafening - Fifa 08 not as good in that department
5. ALL Champions league games and some league games to be played at night - not always during the day. Again the final of the champions league should be played at a neutral ground not whoever is at home.
6. Easier ability to drive low shots into the corners - typically most shots all go off the ground from medium to long range.
7. Referee and linesman to be on the pitch
8. Sort out the penalty taking glitch - once you power up you can’t change your direction meaning the goalie moves to that direction before youve even taken it - not realistic.
9. More stadiums - should at least have every premiership stadium

Im really enjoying this game - for me one fo the best Fifa’s ever which is rich coming from a pro fan. Pro is terrible this year and i feel if you made the changes above you’ll beat them again.

i jsut want too ask when you make the classic 11 squad maybe in fifa 09 you can put brazils pele and argentinas maradonna and a few more english like gary lineker because players like that are amazing and deserve to be in the game

when the goalkeeper comes out to collect the ball allow for quick kick out to set up counter attack, the keeper always tend to go to ground with the ball and waste time alowing the opposition to track back and defend in numbers. also make strikers more aware when inside the penalty area cause if a wing player makes a run down the flank the central attackers will run along and the just stop running when they get to the penalty area, by the time that the cross is delivered into the area there’s just one attacker in the box who has to challenge about 4 or 5 defenders… not very realistic either. allow players also to make off the ball runs when releasing the ball in order to create link up play with another player, like playing the ball 1 2. another thing, why does the opposition get freekicks so easily but sometimes when they foul you it’s nothing, not even a sign of advantage play? that’s all for now

also… in the edit player section, in addition to ankle tape, have the option of shin-high tape or white socks over dark socks similar to what cristiano ronaldo, Torres, and Quaresma do with their socks

things for fifa 09…if any of you guys could copy and paste this in the fifa 09 ideas and suggestions, that would be great because i cant seem to be able to make and account….

1) I’d like to see the game more like a tv broadcast, with occasional zooms on the player dribbling the ball, etc.

2) More of an authentic game, for instance, in english stadiums, create a weather option typical to the overcast, cloduy weather that is seen at most british venues

3) create a rolled up sleeve option in the sleeve length selection in the creation zone (i.e Cristiano ronaldo)

4) More small fouls, (i.e. light shirt tugging, subtle pushes/trips, and incidental handballs)

5) The curling early long balls played into the box that you see in the english game

6) smoother dribbling system- make it easier to cut left and right, and to do step overs etc. i find the new system to be very choppy and hard to execute

7) more realistic shot movement, more predictable curve

8) low shots and ground shots in order to beat the keeper in tough angle situations

9) less defensive pressure in the defensive third by the cpu, especially after the keeper makes a save, give him enough time to set the ball down and step back to make a long kick

10) more realistic penalty kicks-make the run-up more realistic with sudden slowdowns (i.e. ronaldo, berbatov, etc.)
and be able to put it to the extreme corners of the net;in 08 you can only beat the keeper by putting it a couple feet to either side

11) LESS CROSSBAR-BOUND SHOTS!!! ITS UNREALISTIC!!!!!

12) In the sleeves section of the creation zone, create a long-sleeve undershirt option under the jersey (i.e. Mikel, Essien, Wright-Phillips, Rooney )

13) Have The broadcast by a licensed network (i.e. Setanta or sky sports for english matches, and different channels for different country’s leagues

14) when selecting kits for the match, have the ability to customize which change shorts and socks the squad wears (i.e. Chelsea’s black change socks for their yellow kit, Man U’s white shorts and socks that they often wear with their red kits)

also wen there is an advantage played after a foul and it looks like a player is about to lose the ball nd have it intercepted, let the game go on even he looks like losin the ball dnt let the ref blow the whistle unless u’ve totally lost the ball!

improve the crowd reactions and atmosphere in the stadium, like when someone score a goal you see the crowd jump and cheering and then sing club or natnoinal anthems like in real life. also when there is a penaltyu shoot out and you win the crowd and the whole squad come and celebrate with yiu and things like that and make the keepers more smater and responive cause when player on 08 hits the lightes header which in real live a keeper would safe, why doe the keeper just dive over the header and let it go in and they put no effort in. also dont make akeeper always be able to save freekick make it more exciniting to take a freekick!

Im from scotland and its really frustrating when ur in manager mode in FIFA 08 and no one gets relegated from the spl, fifa needs to introduce the scottish divisions 1,2 and 3 and also make the stadiums for most of the premier divisions in easch country or at least the biggest ones like in the spl
they should have at least celtic park, ibrox, rugby park and the new versions of easter road stadium and tyncastle.

A few points:
1) More weather should be introduced, or maybe you could unlock things like rain and snow in the fan shop. My friend who has the game on PS2 says he gets all the weather, whereas on Xbox 360 there is only day and dusk. As if your going to have a bright sunny day in the middle of november.
2) Fans should have more songs, and be more realistic. Maybe they can introduce a feature so if an ex player goes back to his old club, eg Thierry Henry plays for Barca at Arsenal, the fans can cheer or boo him.
3) This is more personal, but I would prefer it if ‘made up’ players, who have maybe come through a scout, had an actual face, not just some shadow of a head.

the players on my fifa 08 just started moving faster one day. does anyone know how to restore this setting or is the problem on my telly. its just annoying me. the players move too fast. can someone post a reply comment with a solution please??

iv had fifa 08 on ps3 now sicce christmas and when i got it the players moved around on the pitch well and the game looked great but then one day the players just started moving faster on the pitch. not like ultra speed but a good deal faster and then the game didnt really look that good anymore. funny thing is though when i took it to my nextdoor neighbour he put it in and the players moved ok again. is there a setting i can change or is it on my telly??? if anyone knows can they post a reply message please

hi guys congratulations on making a football game that really spits on pro evo! anyway, before the game came out i had heard that in be a pro mode you could live yor players season, nothing over the top like going out to town and going through fianaces, just stuff like training, and press confrences.Also for be a pro mode there should ba an “create a player” and u should have to train him up, u could use the same kind of system as madden 08 does, (u know the sprinting and stuff). also for manager mode i recently got a email saying something about the international team! i dont know if u can actually manage the international squad in the present game, but if you cant you should make it available, but only after you have a high prestige after about 5 managing seasons, thankyou for your time,

I have a few ideas which i hope can help improve the game Fifa. First of all i think that the fans should be more realistsic e.g graphics, singing chants, and wearing supporting kits. Secondly i think that we should have the option for the players to warm-up on the sidelines before they come on. I also think that we should be able to make a stadium choosing colours, shapes, sizes etc. My main last point is that we should have an addition to the game called the “Fifa footballers life”. Which includes you controling a player taking in account; money, fixtures, family, training, cars, personal life etc. I hope you take intrest and feel free to contact me

I think you need to improve on the goal celebrations and having custom goal celebrations. Also you need to get exact personality of ronaldo because he now has an afro and in the game he doesnt have hair. Need different camera angles in the game. play national athems for the international teams and have more international teams. the replay in fifa 08 is poor because you try to zoom in and it changes the player. You need to have the players do more tricks because ronaldinho does more than he does in the game. and need improving in the practice sessions.

one thing that realy aggrevates me about fifa is that… i have had the game a few months and ALLREADY the commentary becomes extremley repetitive, and boring! ALSO the commentary is starting to mess up for E.G… the opposition takes a shot and it goes very wide…. commentry would say…”ooh that was an awesome save” WTFFF it happens quite regulary now, and always does on my fifa games!
i think this should be improved in fifa 09!!
but alltogether i think that fifa 08 is a big improvment, and still a great game!!

i reckon transfers should be improved! it is so easy to sign any player you want! i think the cpu should get more involved in the transfers! i think you should be able to battle it out with the computer and that you can do a trade transfer and make it more negotable!

i think on of the major issues on fifa is the fans, compared to pro they are poor . fifa fans are all the same colour the away fans are the same colour are the away fans this is not life like. there should be police lines and no mans land where home&away fans sit. the fans on fifa just wave there arms they dont stand up. aso flags are poor they are dead sraight and boring . there is no huge flags like in the crowd being waved. also there is no ref in the game . the stadiums are poor for every league there are about 3 or 4 real stadiums which when u play the crap teams like derby you play in really boring stadiums called ‘open square style’ which bores me to deat i end up quick siming it and playing in the big games. also old tafford needs updating on fifa it since bin remodeled in 2007 it seems u culdnt be bothered to change it. more club songs need to be introduced . i think every club should be unique have it own stadium colour fans flags playin style etc. also when u play in prem every time u play the stadium is full tis is not real enough not all the stadiums are full you no. id like to see a few classic teams like england classic bobby charlton imagine winning the world cup lol. also players need to look diffrent from eachother lke the same hair cut .more 3rd kits and ‘ecc’ should be called champions league . boots need to be improved there all the same them boring all black ones with a messy white pattern on them . also bplayers need to make mistakes more . i no none of these things will happen but i wish they would .fifa may argue we havent gt time an money but say take 2 years to make the next fifa miss a year and concentrate on fifa 10 the ultimate game with everyones ideas . if they done that i thnk it couldchallnge pro coz lets face it pros betta end of game play ………..etc graphics. Fans should be seen celebrating when a teams score. In a football match you would see a banner or line of police separating the two sets of fans. This should be brought into FIFA 09.

Stadiums

On FIFA 08 PS3. Nearly every team has the same stadium. If teams cannot have there own stadiums on the game then at least there should be a bigger range of fake ones.

all the ideas people are putting forward are brilliant, but in reality every year i hear brilliant ideas, but the game makers never listen to any of them, and the games contiune to let us down.

For Fifa 09 I think with less known players like moss, Leslie etc. players like that should still be unique instead of all being the same blonde guy with the same hair cut. There should be more international club tournements and more international tournements with nations like the world cup or Euro. In manager mode if you win the top leagues like twice in a row or something, you should get asked to manage a nation, but not necassarily your own, any country, but each country depends on your managering skills. For Be a Pro you should actually have to go through an entire career, start off with trials for a small team, get signed, build up your skills, be spotted by bigger clubs, have training and work hard in it so you are picked for the next game and in the end get asked to play for your country, choose when you retire and when you do you can go straight into manager mode with that player as a manager.

I would like to see more teams in general from a variety of continents. Especially more African teams in the International section. Teams like Cote’Divoire, Ghana, Egypt, Morroco, Senegal and others all have very good teams aswell as many players that professionally play in Europes top clubs. African superstars like Essien and Drogba definetly should be able to have their own national team within the game. More african leagues within certain countries would be nice too. Also more South American leagues since many superstars are emerging from these leagues.

One other thing that should be improved is when the commentators call the players name. In some teams, especially lower divisions and leagues, the players name dont get called. Please spend more time to make it possible to hear everyones name within Fifa 09.

Put more stadiums once again from all over the world. Like have the specific stadiums for atleast every major team in the world.

Should have some sort of training ground system in Manager Mode. Take the team to practice and practice individual skill for players, create custom plays that can be used in game, and work on specific areas of the team.

Make weather a factor in the game (wind speed/direction, rain/visibility, cold or hot weather/sllows, speeds up the players in general)

More injuries occuring in the game. Soccer in real life is full of injuries. To make Fifa real add more injuries to the game that are more frequent, although is not severe.

More special effects in game. Put like the teams bench on sidelines with full motion in it. Make an option to warm up a sub. Cut scenes to the reactions and emotions of people and players on the team bench.

Substitutions: If a player on the field is a caption and he’s coming off the field,
That caption should give away his band to the new capton before he leaves the field,
And also the officials should stand on the sideline with that board. And is two players are coming off two players should be seen getting off and two coming in.

The Crowd: The should get more aloud when u plays home. And there should be
A favorites player, which whenever he has the ball they should makes some kind of happy sound. And they should be whistling if they are losing home match and it’s almost time.

Bench: This something we’ve been wishing for since fifa 06.Well fifa 06 on XBOX360.
I will say it was the best football game ever. Less features but really it was a great game.
Coaches being seen how stressful they look. And the substitutes on that bench.
This is what we are all hoping to see on the next fifa 09.

Weather and Field: Weather is something which we all know it wasn’t featured in fifa 08.
Which is very bad.Becauce that’s one reason which makes people says pro evolution is better football game. And I think they are right in some reason. Because they do add almost every little detail in football in their game, they even let the menace’s come and pick up the injure player of the field. And I think EA can do better than that. There have to be rains, Snows and the players jersey are suppose to get dirty even if there were no rain or bad weather. I mean this all those things which make people say Pro Evolution is better football game. And yes the weather should be change be it selfs.which will also depend on the period of the season.

Players: The players this is were the whole game counts. The players were very big. They looked like they are in Gear of War and Halo. This is crazy. Footballs are not that big.
You guys said they have AI and all kinds of stuff and they react to every thing which is going on around them. And I will like to tell u guys if they player gets hit by hard shoot they don’t even react. This is crazy because they do react in the current version.
But I think the players were all great, just they were too big they need to be little slim.
And if u creates a player why the player gets to be over 80 before they can do some tricks.
That’s not cool. You are supposed to be able to make some moves when you’re over 70+.

Tricks: Well the tricks were nothing. You guys better make a game with stuff were they fun ask for. We are not looking for a game with all that expensive features we just want a simple game with a lot of details. We’ve been asking for it since 1998.Then u guys made a great game 2006 on PS2. And for the first time on Xbox360: Road to The fifa world cup
My God that was a great game. Just simple game with tricks, there were less team but really I loved that game. I got fifa 08 but still enjoy that game more. Really we don’t need that entire expensive trick moves which u can’t even pass a single player with. Just give us the same moves on road to the fifa world cup. And make a great game. That all we need.

Stadiums: Did you guys know that we play 80% of an every season in the game. For example if you’re a Amsterdam’s FC Ajax manager, then you’re going to play all the matches in one stadium which is very annoying sometimes. You guys don’t need to make the same stadium as the one in Amsterdam. But just create more stadiums, at lease just design something of your own which will make us play on different fields.

See we love Fifa games, but you just don’t care about what we want. You guys I am very sure that fifa has lost 1000s of funs since Pro evolution started making games the funs want. We thought maybe PS2 is old so u guys will make something great on the Next Gen version. But even that where the whole game gets really messed up.

The ability to pick teams from the past. I would love to play with Napoli during the Maradona days. Also, nothing bothers me more when I pass to a player and he stands there like a deer in head lights. It would be nice to be able to control him.

Just remembered, it doesnt rain or snow in the game, its always nice and sunny, which obviously should not be the case, and there should be night matches, not just day or dusk. wind effect would certainly be an exciting addition.

I duno if any1 has said this before but i think it would be great if goalkeepers made some more mistakes
1. in wet weather they could slip
2.miss a easy ball
3.run far out of area
4.run out of area and miss kick ball
5.bump into defender

firstly i gonna thank EA for making such an amazing game, i have always played pro evo, as i have always thought it was more of a “football game” rather than pass, pass, pass, shoot goal as fifa used to be. But fair play to fifa08, amazing game.
couple of things i would like to see improve are:
The significance of stats shouldnt be underestimated , eg. my player speed 92, comp players speed 54, but yet he catches up to him, or keeps up with him, i dont care what level its at, that should not be happening. Granted that on legendary, comp should be tactically very good, but come on!! (i also did a test to check if players stats make a difference and to be honest…they didnt!! but thats a different story).
Should have more options for free-kicks, ie. under the wall, through the wall, tee-up for power shooter freekick, better curl on freekicks. also, wall should not always be perfect, it should have a randomness that if you blast at wall, it should occasionally go through as is case irl.
Be a pro-mode, absolutely fantastic, amazing, my favourite!!! but you should have a career be a pro mode, ie, create player, (have trial etc) get signed up, play, stats improve, move up ranks, That would just be AWESOME.
Computer cannot always tackle perfect, one thing that pees me off is that the comp defenders are always perfect in their tackling, and they muscle the players off the ball, yet if i do the same, they get free-kicks for it!! needs improving, and also, the comp always dilly dallies on the ball goes round in circles, then passes down the win, again dillies around and then eventually puts a cross in. It should vary its play rather than be sooo predictable.
I like the 5v5 idea as suggested earlier but i suppose fifa street covers that. although a 5v5 training ground session for be a pro career mode would be cool (see how well he does in training and if he does well he gets picked :-)

yes it is me yet again, but i feel you need to make the dutch leagues and players better. give them proper stadiums such as the amsterdam arena, de kuip, philips stadion, geldredome, the ab lenstra stadium…..

and the players are not rated very well. for instance, Klass Jan Huntelaar is only 79 rated, he should be closer to 84, because he is an amazing striker. boost thier stats generally, cos most do not exceed 70, and i think you may have forgot that eindhoven BEAT arsenal in the quarter finals of the champions league!!!

yes, its me again, but i just came up with a brilliant idea. How cool would it be to have 5 v 5 tournaments, linking it to nike’s joga bonito, with advanced tricks. It would be like the nike scorpion adverts…. how cool would that be??? the goals should be small like the real 5 a side ones.

and another thing….with all the other teams and leagues being put in, surely you should focus on the internationals a little more….I thought the national anthems were cool though….add in more teams such as serbia, trinidad and tobego, african teams (for the african cup of nations,) especially good teams like ivory coast, how could u miss them out????

Hi, I would like to congratulate the FIFA 08 team for creating such a good game, but there are lots of things they could do to make it into an AMAZING game:
1. Get the stadiums sorted on the x box 360. the annoying thing, is every manager mode match, i always end up playing in “estadio des les artes” or whatever it is called. you should either get all the proper stadiums for the proper teams OR at least give, say the top 12 from each league. The others then should have proper-sized stadiums, rather than the average div 1 is oinly around 180000 ppl i reckon
2. Bring in more tournaments to keep you occupied; thing like the intertoto cup, african cup of nations, emirates cup, and international ones such as World Cup, UEFA cup, rather than releasing them on a separate game!
3. More unlockables should be incorporated as an incentive during the game. You should be able to unlock recently retired players (zidane, etc), more classic teams, classic footballs (like in fifa 07) and most importantly, older stadiums such as the old wembley, the maracana, estadio da luz, neckarstadion, highbur, how amazing would it be to play in old wembley again????
4. sort out the commentry, it is appallingly bad on the 360. Go back to either motson or tyldsley, people with voices we recognise. And with all the money you lot have, you should get all the proper sponsors, score displays,and music for different tournaments and leagues, so it all feels like a real match
5. when players miss, actually have the crowd groaning (or jeering) at the right times, adding drama to the games. then you could actually show the players reactions, of surprise, anguish, humour, frustration etc.

all of these would make an amazing game

u cant choose the price on fifa08 u should be able to that was another thin that was better on 07.

I think Fifa Manager 08 is superb, would like to see more things editable via the game editor. Think included in the editor should be the following.

Would like to be able to change points for a win to from 3 points to 2 points via the editor.

Would like to be able to totally get rid of substitutes like the good old days, if players got injured you either played on or finished with ten men.

Finally would like to be able to introduce a maximum wage, again like the good old days - competitions would become more competitive from top to bottom.

I think the lack of stadiums is a disgrace (i.e) Celtic Park , Home of one of the biggest derby teams in the world, it’s not there!?!?! Alos Ibrox should be there Croke Park in Ireland, maybe Lansdowne road aswell… there should be more offical competetions also! like champions league , world cup, euro championships + qualifiers..

it would be also great if you could (for example in the german “bundesliga”) make friendly matches in winter (maybe even indoor!), because in germany there is a pause in winter.
you can also advance creating a player/team: when you take a player who already exists in some team, you could kind of “copy” him, for example if you want to let Ronaldinho from Barca play in your own-created team, he should also stay in barcelona AND play for my team.
in my opinion, the idea of creating own stadiums, is very good.
and it would be great, if there was diving in fifa 09. or even assaults, like an ellbow check!^^

TEAM PRACTICE MODE! I need it to practice my free kicks! This one on one v. keeper doesn’t help me because there is no wall. And bring back the indicator on trade telling you how close you came to buying a player!

Also, players like Taylor Twellman in the U.S., or Landon Donoan, or Matt Reis are much better than 75 overall. Make their stats realistic like 85 like they should be.

And please add all the nations.

And please make replays viewable from the hard drive. I don’t want to have to view them from that website.

Please make the referees call cheap slide tackles made by the computer (when your dribbling and the cpu takes out your legs with a slide tackle and nothing is called but when you slightly nudge a cpu player you get called)

Please put Zinedine Zidane at least on a legendary team or unlockable but please just put him in the game. My friend didn’t buy Fifa this year because he wasn’t in the game so he’s going to buy PES now.

Please fix this. When ever you take a far shot with Steven Gerrard, it always always curves out of the way especialy in the arena and it’s usually a pretty weak shot, and everyone knows he has the greatest, most clutch shots in the world.

Please, when you create a player, you should be able to see his face on the menu’s, not just black with ayellow outline.

Please make be-a-pro better by taking the player from starting off, through gettinging better in the system, making it to the pros, and eventually getting a contract to a good team (Man U)

Please, In be-a-pro, when the ball goes to defensive areas, don’t zoom ou the camera so much, it makes it hard to see.

Please don’t make the achievements so impossible. Some of them are like score 8 goals with your goalie in one game with out going offsides while juggling burning bananas.

Please, please, please add a regular practice mode. One like Fifa 07 on the PS2 had. You can take free kicks around walls, have full field scrimages, your whole team is with you, and your whole team on the goalie which I found to be fun. And if you do add this practice mode, put music in the background.

Please when you change a player’s stats or appearance, please make the changes happen to he player in manager mode as well.

Please under manager mode, make there be a lot of stadium upgrades, like 12 of them, so that there will be a purpose to keep making money, (I sold Christiano Ronaldo off Man U and had enough to get all the stadium upgrades) and when all of the uprages have been purchased, add the option of building a new, revamped statium, maybe in a different place.

Please don’t change the announcers, they are great and they are announcers that I loe in real life.

When you create a player, have preset names to pick from that the announcers can say while on the pitch (i.e. If i pick names for a guy that are preset into he game, like Mike Jones, the announcer will be able to say something like “And Mike Jones taking it down the line”, you know, to make i feel more realistic.)

Fifa 09>PES 2009

I hope fifa09 can add all the nations, cups and leagues that registered in fifa because I think it’s boring to play the same, same team again and again and again. Let’s make a drastic change.

Add the 3 lower scottish divisions: 1, 2, 3 and the welsh premier league. Put polls out to fans of clubs in the game and ask them to put the 25 players they would like in the game in order of rating. GET THE POSITIONS OF PLAYERS RIGHT!! Create a game for non-league competitions in england, scotland and wales with teams like the FA Trophy, FA Vase, FA Qualifying Round and into the FA ‘proper rounds’. The Highland league in Scotland and Scottish Cup qualifying rounds. Everyone elses suggestions sound ace. Going to work for EA Sports soon so may be able to put a word in ;)

also celebrations need to change.. Its the same run up and take a photo since 2005!!!! have a 5 min video or something having a ceremony or parade

i have a suggestion…DONT LEAVE THE PC BEHIND!!!!! all of the new features like the dribbling building blocks, this ‘advanced gameplay’ only exist on Xbox360 andPS3. Is it really that difficult for a keyboard to do the same?

also more faces! there were some new ones - but to me it down plays the game when your playing a team that all has the same type of face. Add teams like Colo Colo, Steaua Bucuresti, Dynamo Zagreb, Dynamo Kiev, CSKA Moscow, Dynamo Moscow, and Red Star Belgrade.

and yes have the seasons change! there is Euro08, WC etc. Players and coaches should get better and gain more experience by coaching a national team or being called up for a big tournament. And more than just a message in your inbox, but playable.
You should allow teams to get new kits after a year or too if they perhaps change sponsors. (ex. Real Madrid signs with Audi and decides to bring the pinstripes back, the jerseys would be slightly different and there would be Audi on the front instead of bwin.com) but what ever thats not the BIGGEST deal. the first and second things i said are the big ones

gameplay needs to be smoother. Its still choppy and not as fluid. Also you should be able to battle for the ball more instead of the same reaction to a takle (example: if Ronaldinho is getting attacked from behind and the side by 2 defenders, he should be able vie for posession and do a quick ole or something to get around.) my point is the tackles aren’t realistic at all - same reaction, same choppy attack. There should also be more fouls and arguing/pleading on the pitch. I can go a full 20min game with 2 fouls!!! not realistic - and I receive big harsh slides too, but for some reason the ref only calls them sometimes.

Fifa could also use a little atmosphere. The fans are fake, the sidelines are empty. more fans wearing colors, more flags, more whistling at the ref and cheering. More flares in big games. more than 20 comentary phrases - analyze table, possible transfers etc.

you should have to warm up subs on the sideline before you can put them in (example: on team management screen in game, have ‘warm up’ tab instead of automatically ’substitution’)

transfer season should be more rumorfull and some players should want to come to your team, and vise versa some should make known they want to leave. More club-club negotiating than just bidding.

I have a real issue atm with FIFA 08. For some reason it always tells me that both the Rangers and Celtic squad don’t have enough players to sell me one of theirs. However, each team easily has about 22, 23 players on the squad.

Basically Fifa needs to pay more attention to detail, things like stadiums, crowds, lower leagues and even more control over manager mode.
The stadium issue is getting pretty serious, I’m a Celtic supporter and Celtic Park (2nd biggest stadium in the UK and the 2nd biggest club in the world) is still no on there. Neither is Ibrox for Rangers, Hampden Park for Scotland, Croke Park for Rep. Ireland, etc, etc. Its a massive shame every year when this happens, also the kits on 08 are pretty un-accurate, Celtic’s keeper Arthur Boruc in the game plays in blue? I’m sorry but is silly! Thats their arch rivals colours, I’m sure this happens with other teams but come on it cant be that hard to sort out can it?
The crowds are getting worse in my opinion, their still paper thin, blocky, glitchy animations. Also the amount of flags in the crowd has gone down? In 07 their was tons of flags and it adds more feel to the game. The colours of the crowd need to be sorted out too, like corresponding fan shirt colours to the team, some scarves in there, etc.
Lower leagues need to be added such as the Scottish Division 1, 2 and 3, Bluw Square Premier (Conference) in England and leagues from other countries all around the world.
Manager mode should be even more hands on because after 2 or 3 seasons it gets kinda boring. Things like training sessions, travelling for matchs, more things like sponsership and indepth stadium management.
Other little things Fifa could do with is footballs, like different ones through the year (i.e. Winter, Summer), goal celebrations should be abit more varied and trophey celebrations should be really big and special.

Hopefully in the next few years this is what Fifa start putting in their games!

you should have an opition to drive to a game or get there coach with the players and simulate it to games if you do not want to drive

in fifa 09 have all the stadiums and when you win a cup make the celebrations a lot better

in fifa 09 they should have a winter season ball and a summer season ball e.g white and blue ball in the summer and yellow and purple in the winter and the ball colour should change every season. also you should be able to edit kits every season and make up tour own sponsor and that on them and on fifa 09 they should have all the stadiums for the leagues like the pemier league, the german league, the portuguese league and all the rest of the other big leagues (and you should be able to edit them as well in manager mode). you should also be able to be an international manager in manager mode. and the nets should be an own personal net for each stadium like for newcastle united the nets in real life are black and white and manchester uniteds are quite big and the ball doesnt bounce out of them when someone scores. and the f.a cup and the carling cup final should be played at wembley and all the scottish cup finals played at hampden park and so on… there shouls also be more leagues like the confrence! but still i think the graphics on the xbox 360 for fifa 08 are much better then fifa 08 on the the ps3 i should no ive gt both lol!!!

how do you get winter season on fifa 08 for ps3 because when it is december there is no winter. they should have more stadiums for not always some teams have the same stadium but main thing is that please can u tell me hoe to get winter season on playstation 3

at the start where you can play around with one player in the arena.. make it so that when another controller is connected you can add a player and play a bit of 1v1..
i honestly played 1on1 with that keeper for probably more hours than i actually played the rest of the game haha.. loved it

World Club Championship in season mode and international management integrated into season mode would be wicked! World Cup should be added and for more realism, how about adding referees, linesmen, fourth officials for subs, subs warming up and manager graphics on the sidelines into matchday play!

i get annoyed when my home town’s team i get up from legue 2 to the premiership then have to go to a different team to win other cups. You should be able to move your team around the world. Not realistic but helps alot

WHY DONT YOU PLAY AT WEMBLEY FOR THE F.A CUP?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have forgot all the good things you put on 07 like the creating a team and playing at wembley.
That soooooooooo not realistic plus you should have:
1.ALL premiership stadiums
2. Conference and legues in Russia
3. MORE international teams like sebia and montenergro or however u spell it
4. Be able to be picked as manager for the country (make it so you are picked not that you can decide them when you are 1st manager).
5. The logo should change on the kit after each season however you go with
6. Be able to change the kit for EVERY team, not just your created team (there wasn’t one)
7. I like this idea. We should be able to create our OWN stadium. That would be ace however make it so the better the stadium, the more it costs
8. I like the idea of Kasper with the training stuff. U should definately add that.
9. Save the replays the way u did in 07 it was alot easier.

I must say the commentry is a huge improvement and here are the things you should KEEP:
1. The penalties
2. The pressure from defenders, it makes it alot more realistic and harder to score
3. Keep all the tricks you have so far but maybe add a few more
4. The goalies are ace keep them that way.
5. Keep the controls similar but make X button to pass, or if you dont like this idea, have different settings to have it in like 07.

I forgot to say something else, I was very happy with the Classic XI team in 06 and 07. But I wanted to put the classic players in a different team in the club transfers and couldn’t. I just thought it would be very nice to put Cantona back in Manchester United, Rivera in Milan, Beckenbauer in Bayern Munich etc.
I haven’t played 08 yet, but now I don’t know if I should buy it, or until I buy a PS3.
I’ve been to FIFA 08 discussions on the internet, and heard that the FIFA 08 is no different than the FIFA 07 on the PS2. Why would I want to buy it now, if that’s true?

I would like EA to include more classic players. Pro Evolution always includes Maradona, Pele, Platini, Cruyff, many players, but they always include them with fake names and edited faces, and that doesn’t make them original. If EA included atleast Maradona, it would make the game much better.
In the FIFA 07 game, Zidane wasn’t included and that disappointed me. FIFA works on players’ styles which is very cool and important. But the exclusion of Zidane made me very sad, and it did feel like Zidane was retired.
And one more thing, who in the world is Bernardo Valerio?!

Hey EA, I have been playing fifa games since ‘98, though some of the titles have dissapointed me in the past. In 09 I would like to see:

*Customizable stadiums in career mode
*Online matches between Playstation 2, Playstion 3, Pc and Xbox (I know its almost impossible to make that, but anyway…)
*The opportunity to create your own team and your own league alongside the already included features in Creation Centre
*Advanced gameplay and referee taking account for handball, “acting”, players being booked for yelling at the ref, onside/offside situations etc.
*Forget Be A Pro. Instead add a indoor soccer mode. If its done right, it will kick P.E.S.’s ass so hard :)
*Different types of goals in each stadium with individually designed nets with colors matching the home teams colors. This will make the feeling of being at a new stadium so much stronger, because when you’re playing you look at the pitch and whats on it, you dont look at the tribunes
*In Tournament mode add the Champions league and the Uefa cup
*Make finals(Cup finals etc) and champs. league matches in career mode something special by adding some effects and video sequences here and there
*The gameplay in Fifa08 is really down on the ground, and that really suits lower leagues like the Danish SAS league and others like it. But it doesn’t feels right in the Premier league. Perhaps you could boost the gameplay in the greater leagues somehow?

It is unacceptable the fact that you haven’t included PANATHINAIKOS FC in the Fifa08. Is there an explanation for this? If there’s any Greek team with European Football history that is PANATHINAIKOS. Neglecting the Greek Super League was not a great idea either. If your intentions are to increase market share against other popular football games try adding popular Leagues and teams. Is there going to be a patch or something to include PANATHINAIKOS FC in the future???

I just saw pes 08 trailers and it it okay. there are some cool things. I saw kick ass moves. also I saw that it shows a player at a press conference. ea you should study pes 08. u should study the gameplay features and player faces. add better celebrations. and please for gods sakes add the refs linesmans and the guy holding the thingy with the numbers for subs. one thing I saw in pes was that u can dive. for example in the penalty area you can just fall. if u speak spanish I’m talkin about a clavado. change the way it looks when your playing. look at an actual game and look at the cameras. also add the cutscenes. please have the next gen systems have the same features as current gen. like gor ps2 fifa 08 u can control goalkeepet. that is sick. but what I like is the co-op be a pro. what u can do is mix it with carear mode. u start out in the academy with a player u create. u start out with a 60 player and u have to do acomplishment and u use exp points also. then u can get sighned itno the 1st team and you can shoe contracts and all that stuff. but the manager can sub u out or not call u up for the game.also you do practice like wieghts and running and the more you do it the more the atrivutes go up for that skill. oh one more thing for manager mode. your staff for big clubs for example real madrid start as 8 out of 10. and when your done with a game and it tells you your funds it should tell you the atendece. good luck ea.

You should be able to get interviewed at the end on a match and talk through mic. You should also be able to watch a match and press the buttons for chants and cheers

There should be online commentary in the online leagues and you should be able to watch other peoples matches in your league

You may need to check your funds my man. Make sure that your not having good, high paid players on your team. That just sucks up your money. Plus, you can’t be able to increase your stadium to build more fan support, thus, more money. Also you can try increasing your sponsorship as well. I usually fiind the highest per game amount of money I can find. It helps alot.

I agree with El Guero, I like the idea of managing international teams. Picking your players and actually being able to go through the “Road to World Cup”. I would also like to see some better leagues. I like that they have new leagues like the Irish and Czech Leagues but I’d rather have the good one or two teams from each on the Rest of World section and include the Russian and Greek Leagues. You never see any Irish teams go through to any major rounds of Champions League or UEFA Cup and to be honest, the Czech league only has two good teams. Also, why can’t we change player names. Im tired of seeing “Murgu” playing for Fiorentina instead of “Mutu”. I understand licensing but let us be able to change names in th comfort of our homes.

Fifa 08 great game! Although i still believe you should add in manager mode the posibilities to manage an international team. It should be able to add players to list of the national team. Also have the road to the world cup, all the elimination round of the eurocup, goldcup, cup america, asian cup. That would really push this already incredible game to one of the best.

Including the Greek league would definitely be in the best interests of all gamers. Adding the Olympic Stadium and Karaiskaki stadium would be unique for playing atmosphere. Greek teams are doing well in Europe this year, and to see the Turkish league make the game and not the Greek league is an outrage. THe Irish league? what the heck is that? No offense to any fans of Irish teams, but that league is TERRIBLE!!!! There is some good talent on Olympiakos, AEK and Panathinaikos teams–not including the entire Greek league–where some of that talent eventually comes from–is an outright shame.

hey guys i just started manager mode in fifa 08 and i am losing money in home matches which is. My manager prestige is 1/10 if i get it to 10/10 will i stop losing money and start getting money at home matches

I love this year’s version more then any other one before it because the passing is more realistic and the chants from the supporters are wonderful plus the players are more realistic then ever. However i would like to see a UEFA Champions League mode for both Play Now and in Manager Mode. This would enable the player to play the highest level of European Cup football with all the drama and intensity that comes with knockout tournaments. In Manager Mode for those teams that manage to win their league or come in the necessary spots to qualify it is a reward for a long hard season of League ties, Domestic Cup matches and the like. Also perhaps a UEFA Cup mode in the same capacity as the Champions League to reward those teams that come in 3rd 4th etc. As well since you put the game out in October, perhaps adding teams such as Shakhtar Donetsk, CSKA Moscow, Dynamo Kiev and Steaua Bucuresti would be a rather popular move. Put them in Rest Of The World. Finally the most important aspect of the game is as we all know the stadiums. Nothing matches the passion, the intensity, and most notably the home field advantage then having the best, most popular and most wonderfully designed stadiums in the world. The inclusion of White Hart Lane and Home Depot Center was especially pleasing, but let’s see if we can expand further in this area. Keep the 39 stadiums you have now and add the following:

Celtic Park(Celtic F.C.)
Toyota Park(Chicago Fire)
Dick’s Sporting Goods Park(Colorado Rapids)

Hi. Ive had the game a month now and being a fifa fan i was quite impressed. But there are a few problems which i think need sorting out. First…. No Wembley for the final…. the stadium is there, so why not use if for a cup final. And for european cup games, a neutral football ground stadium should be set every season for that cup final feel…. this is quite important especially as the game play is a lot harder…. it makes that slog worthwhile (and because thats what happens in real life). I prefer Fifa because it is a more realistic simulation…. ie with all of he players, the football grounds (which a few more should be replicated Ibrox and Celtic Park (as Sean) and the transfer system… but what i think would benefit my experience is to add player history…. which for example say Michael Owen…. it has his full stats ie games played, goals scored etc already there…. so when you start your season any goals and games played are added to his history and stats. This means you can brake goal scoring records etc!! AND what would set this game apart from pes would be the inclusion of international manager…. why hasn’t this been done before???? It would put you in the ultimate driving seat of all national sides. Add the european championships and world cup. I know you get these games later in the year (which i would still buy) or whatever but it would make Fifa the ultimate football simulation. I could talk all day but thats all i’ll say for now. Ps Ive played football games for twent years or so from Match Day, kick off, sensible soccer etc and always look forward to fifa coming out. Lets go for broke.

I agree with TuRnA_ov_SpUrS. PRO VIEW IS AWESOME! It would be great to see PRO VIEW on the PSP. I’m wondering if you can also play two player in this mode, changing sides like in hockey. Once you play in PRO VIEW you can’t go back to the old left and right action–it really is revolutionary. I was planning on getting Pro Evo and will pass just based on this new realistic way of playing the beautiful game. I am surprised I haven’t heard more about this on the net. EA has to really promote this–it’s like Gears of War meets soccer and makes all of the great graphics worth while. Now the screenshots we see on IGN come home because of the face to face action. Way to innovate guys! I look forward to new enhancements in the PRO VIEW for FIFA 09. Also Greek league would be a welcome addition and USL, if possible.

I think that getting rid of the fifa 06 free kick system has made free kick taking less fun. as now all you choose is the strength of your shot and which part of ht goal you are aiming at, i liked it on fifa 06 when you could determine where you hit the ball to give it height, curl and dip. i think without it there is less variety in kicking the ball. thank you fifa.

- Be A Pro mode is cool but i would like to be able to work my way up to bigger clubs, earn international caps and play in the World Cup and other compititions.
- add the leagues of South Africa, Argentina, Russia and Japan.
- I would like to see stadiums like Ullevaal stadion in Oslo, Parken stadion in Copenhagen, BMO Stadium in Toronto and some 2010 World Cup stadiums.
- I am happy to see New Zealand, South Africa and the Netherlands in FIFA 08 so I can’t complain about the national teams, but I would like to see Canada join them in FIFA 09!

Maybe you guys can work with players faces a bit more I think that 07 had better details on players faces than 08 what is that all about. Probably the only player that looks like himself is Ronaldinho and sure why not he is only the greatest player in the world but there is others that deserve as much attention For example Lionel Messi, Kaka, Giovanni dos santos, David Beckham, Rooney, Christiano, Figo………….You guys get the picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also got to admit that when Im playing the game I don’t feel any adreneline or rush the fans need some serious work please! You can add some singing or flares maybe even some fan running on the field evey two hundred games or so I know you guys can do it. theres not much difference between o7 and 08 but the controls for it which sucks.

There should be better ratings on the players. Rooney can never be as good a striker as Henry or Eto. Also there should be more international teams and the players should have real like faces and their unique body movements and styles.

Tricks are good though and gd quality but MORE STADIUMS and make free kicks easier

The main dissapointment is that the ps2 vertion for some reason always has more interesting features why canst the 360 have the same as it is the superior console and the future of the franchise. Also manager mode needs to be a ton more realistic its the small things that need to be looked at such as when you become the manager of your first team when the paper comes up it sais things like ” he comes with a great deal of experiance ” etc when it should say for example ” chelsea shock world by appointing unknown as there new manager. then once you have worked your way throught he ranks you have the papers saying ” (club) sign champions league winning manager etc. There needs to be a real story to the manager mode so you feel more involved it is silly for you to be able to manage Barca as your first team especially when the amount payed by the top sponser on your first season would not cover the player wages at the a super club like that. Refs and linesman need to be included and you should also be able to create the look of yopur manager so when your tema scores not only do you see them celebrating you see yourself celebrating on the side lines. To round it up there needs to be as much focus on you as a manager in the game as there is is on the rest of it.

I think they should add the J-League (Japanese League). They may not be the greatest but i think they should be included. I found the exclusion about them a bit suspicious also, is EA upset that Konami is making a game that is selling better and for that reason excluded the J-League? i wonder..

i reckon on the new fifas you sholud defo have a ref and two linesman on the pitch (like you do in the real game) maybe a few more international sides (AFC,CAF,CONACAF,)etc.. get rid of uk/euro 1 and 2 stadiums and create a stadium Builder where you can choose from a few preset stands (really small too really big..like what LMA Manager does) to make your own super stadium or create a small ground for lower league clubs. that then just saves onto the memory so you can overite it when you want too. And do away with preset camera angles and set it like the replay cam so you can pretty much choose any angle you want. (you can do it in replays so why not the whole game.

Lower leauge teams deserve third kits just like premier league teams on the game. Wen i play with nottingham forest there away kit is opposite of home ie. red/wite —- wite/red, but sometimes wen u play a team like cheltenham that play in red and wite stripes u need a third kit, like a black one..yah know??

i think you should have under 21 international sides or some women’s football teams, it would be quite good to see that happen. you should also have games paused for streakers and drop balls when a player is injured. you could have us, controlling what should be done to an injured player, as if we are the physios treating an injury. you should have manager confrontations as well and control a players annum. the transfer market should be as easy as it is on PES and teams should get offers from others and get more money the better the club. these suggestions might be unrealistic but ah well. i like fifa 08 though, the ‘be a pro’ idea is cool.

ive always played fifa no other foot game ever but this is junk it really is awful you cannot do half as much as 07 free kicks are awful the faces arnt that good some plyers look the same but most dont ea should make it again and start from scratch and put some things back to the way they were from 07 i was so excited about this one but very disapointed indeed im sorry fellow ea fifa fans but this is 2 out of ten for me.

I thought Fifa 07 game was good but in Fifa 08 game there should a function where you can commentate on the football match yourself and let the others hear you say how your football match is progressing. Then you get the feel of what its like to be in this sort of enviroment. You more than likely to want to play but it could be fun to let others let you commentate with the host choosing who wants to be a commentator. Just a thought. Greetings

Hey people .. i bought FIFA 08 on xbox 360 the other day, and i must say, Its absolutly brilliant. Its the best soccer game going around. I dont think Pro evo will match it this time. The gameplay is a whole new system, the graphics are incredible. The realism is fantastic it feels like you are in the actual game. Its just simply the best. Well done EA sports. Many of my friends who play Pro evo have converted back to FIFA because they even think its better. (Ive always known it has been)

i think that there should definatly be more stadiums across europe in, take some crap leagues out like polish, czech, aussie and belgian and then put some good leagues in like Argentinan, south african and maybe one of the balkan leagues and definatly the russian and put well more national teams in like serbia, bosnia, iraq, iran, montinegro, israel.

there should be more rest of the world teams as well, i mean who would ever choose lausanne sport there crap, put some real class teams in there like some eastern european teams that are also in the CL.
make the manager mode more realistic, i was in a CL group containing Valencia(ME), trabzonspor, zulte-waregam and solna, i mean these team wouldnt even make it to the real CL

And my last idea is => when you make a goal you have to hear the “goalsounds” i am not sure if the englisch teams have that but we have it in belgium and that would be pretty funny.

I hav fifa 08 & there seems to b a commentery problem in thisone. While playing the game, when I attack & hav a go @ the goal, when the ball goes out for a goal kick, the commentry says that the goalkeeper has saved it. It is wrong & i hav faced this a few times while playing match. This must b solved

I belive that having (british) lower league’s is the way to go that way it will please a wider range of the main people who buy yhis game. leagues such as - scotish 1st, 2nd and 3rd Division (i would love to be east stirling) - the welsh premier division as this is their premier league and is right they get that included especialy as they play in europe and lastly having the english conference would be alot of fun! :-)

3.conference meetings so the managers can tell the press how they feel

6.in fifa 09 they should do a game mode were you make a player or be a selected player e.g ronaldinho and be that player playing for a club and able to be transfered to different clubs

Ukrainian league is one of the strongest and richest leagues in the Europe. Shakhtar(Donetsk) and Dynamo(Kyiv) is well-known superclubs and also teams like Dnipro(Dniepropetrovsk) and Metallist(Kharkiv) is playing in UEFA Cup and they have a good ratings. Please, add Ukrainian league. I`m sure it strongest than Polish or Danish league.

i think it would be good if you could choose which of your players go up for corners. i always play with tottenham and while dawson and king or kaboul ect are sat at the back aaron lennon and y. p. lee are in the box trying to win headers against rio or terry, its silly.

manager mode: i think that each team should have there own manager, preferably realistic, you(the player) can only play for clubs without a manager so if you are plaing for leeds utd and you look to see what clubs havnt got a manger you can then choose to swap teams at any point in the season so if you get fired in december, you should be able to choose a new team, with no manager and start from that same month instead of simulating to the end of the season. Also i think it would be fun to see the likes of alex furgerson, or arsene wenger leaving there club and manaing a differnt team on that note, i think things like this should affect teams performaces/moral such as alex furgerson leaving utd to manage coventry, then i think coventry should improve for having a better manager so give each manager a manger rating similar to a player rating an you (the player) starts off on 60 and has to work is way up to the likes of jose morinho who could be on 90. so if you have a team with a manger with an high rating there overall performace should improve. i think this would had a little bit more depth to manager mode.

I would like them to put the icelandic league in too because the football is devoloping very quickly there or at least put 2 teams out of the icelandic league in to the rest of the world. I would also like them to put youth teams in for example Spain U21 or France U16 or Arsenal B team. And make the goalkeeper gloves look nice on the goalkeeprs for example let them wear uhlsport gloves or stanno gloves or adidas gloves and make the hairband on every player look nice. I would also like to see when you shoot the ball outside the box that you can curl the ball very beautefilly. I would also like o see some more goalkeeing bloopers it makes the game more fun because in FIFA 06 and FIFA 07 the goalkeepers never made mistaks. And make Managing mode more realistic like you can have a wife, or boys of your own that can play for the team. 1- realistic transfers messi valuation is 55000 in 07 he pretty much moves to any club even at manger level 1
2- when u loan a player to a club and he plays for 6 months his player growth points should also be increased and loaning the player for lesser periods like 3 months
3- player frustrated at the bench for a long time and ask for transfer request for a club he prefers and not any lesser clubs
4- players called by commentary by their names at least some epl and spanish teams
5- managers should be mentioned by the commentary and more interaction with the press and rivalries between mangers like arsene and mourinho(oh he is not here anymore i am not a chelsea fan but i hate to see him go like this)
6-better youth and reserve teams can be added
7-manager of the reserve team and u can do well to get yourself to be the first team manager
8- u get called up to be the coach of a international team or u 21 like stuart pearce

they should include english non league teams

I need a career mode, which is playable for more than one player.
There is no need for playing the opponents, but to play with 2 or 3 friends in the same team in the career mode.
Because Fifa 06 and 07 didn’t have such a feature, we are still playing Sonys “This is football 2005″.
And, if it would be possible, could the transfer and loan system work with “real” money
and not with “points”.

I think that you should put in the Argentina league, Russia league, Ukranian league, (chilie) Colo Colo,Greek league,New Zealand National team,Cuba,Israel League,The youth teams in manager mode so people can bring up the youth in the manager mobe. the Czech league, The Cuban League, pre season games so you can bulid up your tean, the iraq national team, iran, hondorus, senagal, ivroy coast, monatnigo and the sebian league please will you do this

i would like to say that fifa 2007 was just great and the only things fifa 2008 needs is just a bit of better graphics (always) to send away some 1 or 2 national teams like n. ireland wales or finland. to PLEASE add NETHERLANDS and some other national teams like japan iran , south africa , ghana, colombia, costa rica, and othre teams out of europe caue football is for all not just for europe.

I just wanted to see some south american stadiums in there. Such as the Maracana stadium in Rio (thats a have to have!), maybe the Bombonera and such. I just think that atleast the maracana should be in there!
Also I wanted to see more improvements for Manager Mode. Improvements like:
- Having clubs call you to play for that not just choose which ever club you please!
- Getting to play for ANY national team at the top of your career.
- Real sponsors. Big sponsors if your on the top of carrer and winning champonships and not so known sponsor if your just starting at a smaller club.
- For sponsors, have them in jerseys. If you cant put them in the body part of the jersey, have them on the sleaves of the jersey.
- (This one not my idea but I just wanted it to be heard)… Having the main manager mode page be like the clubs website. With club infos, league infos, match hype and rivalries, team news, and more!
- Making the clubs continental championships liscenced and using it on the Manger Mode! Champions League or UEFA Cup on Europe, Copa LIbertadores and Sulamericana on South America and Mexican clubs invited, CONCACAF Champions Cup for NA, and so on! It would be a great addition to the Manger Mode in the game!

Oh and please, Have the ref crew (referee, both linesman, and fourth ref holding the added time or subs thing whenever making changes) on the field!

Improve the shooting - the demo seems to think you are a lunatic when you shoot - you put the ball 50 yards over and 51 yards wide!
Okay, I agree, it’s good that schooting is harder. But now it’s too hard. There’s a fine line, but you’ve actually made it more unrealistic.

Another, let us choose the music from our hard drive which the teams come out to. Even better put some chants on the marketplace than we can download and choose which clubs’ fans will chant them.

Put the ref and linesmen on the pitch! and the fourth official and managers - the technical box comes closer to the sideline than portrayed in the game.

Import faces from the xbox live vision cam for create a player, or import images from our hard drive so we can make players that bit more realistic.

Add a couple of commonplace things the crowd do - for example the ‘wheeeeyyyy’ when someone missed by miles, and cheers after the announcer reads out the name.

Injuries are completely unrealistic - you are forced to make a sub because a player is lying on the floor clutching his broken leg or whatever, then when you sub him he just gets up and walks off!

If even one of these ideas gets into the game then I have reached my objective :)

ok this is proberly too late of 08 but a few things for 09:

1. if playing in a tordament and it ends in a draw then it should go to a replay
2. if a player is injured then he should go on to the sidelines either to wait to come back on or to be replaced by a sub
3. on manager mode the players retire too early, on 06 most players were retiring when they were 30 - 35 years lod it needs to be more like 35-40, not sure what it was like on 07 but its annoying when you have a team full of made up charaters and for some reason mostly have high skilled levels
4. better cut-scenes like see subs warming up, manager shouting from sidelines
5. in manager mode have season and overall stats, so you could see how many goals a player has scored over 5 seasons, or how ever long he plays for your club it would be cool to see aplayer reach 100 goals etc and also to look back at how your club has developed

**after reading a bit about be a pro mode i have come up with an idea for be a pro mode, which what i think wold be good: create yourself as a you could in prevous fifa games, you are giving a lower league side at random and play a 15/20 season career as your self. you start right at the bottom and work your way up. you start off by having training sessions with your club trying to earn a first team place, once you get called up to the squad you then have to try and keep, and keep improving maybe become the captain for your club. You should also throw in real life situations such as the better you do, the more press you get and bigger clubs start to notice you. If a club notices you then they could put in a transfer for you, with different tempting offers or not then its up to you if you would like to go play for them or not. Also you should be able to make descions based on player-manager relationships so if your unhappy, or lose your place to a new signing you can ask for a transfer request to leave the club. this should capture the ups and downs of a real footballers career. the ultimate goal is to play top level football on a path whichever you choose to take. once you are playing for a top flight club you could then try to earn yourself a place on the international team, with a chance of playing in a world cup etc.

i think if you do something like this for 09 then it will show and are able to play both aspects of football from a mangers view(like the current manager mode) of from a footballers view

well if u could just bring out all the leagues in the world or at least the FIFA ranking top 100 national leagues or something.

Do something about all the damn cheating in the online play! Long balls and cutting in on the side line are easy to defend. But there is nothing i can do when someone “loses connection”. Also, the top 15 players are all joined together and make it impossible for anyone to be the best because they are cheating.

systemrequirementslab.com says that my system is way over the recommended PC to run it. And yet the game runs poorly. It has a terrible frame rate which is very noticeable.
And can we please have the option of buying next gen version for the PC?

Details:
-the referee should be visible all the time, he should also be seen giving the fouls etc
-players should get more emotional (when they’re losing you should see desperation on their faces)
-linesmen should be visible at all times
-during breaks or pause, things like the manager, subs and the crowd should be shown
-stricter referees (too many bad challenges should lead to red cards)
-confrontations between players should be shown (to spice up the match and the crowd)
-there should be more controversial decisions (some offsides should be given and some challenges should be deemed fine when they are not)
-the team should be affected by the sway of the game, if you are totally dominating, then your players should pass the ball confidently
- coin toss at the beginning to decide who starts

Basically, more real world happenings, things that make the game that much more engrossing and tense when you play a mate, things that would get you up off your seat and start protesting but u can’t change anything……little details like that will just bring the whole game together brilliantly…..we all know that FIFA can play well, now it just needs that extra magic to make it that lil bit more realistic and make the atmosphere perfect………i mean you van stick me in a 3d simulation thingy and give me the most perfect soccer game ever, but if it lacks the atmosphere of an english cup game then it just won’t do…….by adding the above mentioned features and some more stated by other fifa lovers before me, FIFA will put the FIFA vs PES saga to bed once and for all….

and one more thing…..please do something about the commentary add more commentators to refresh the games a little, having the same commentators makes it feel like you’re playing the same game over and over again, and try nd figure out a way to make the commentating more fluid, have them talk about the players, the team current form, any transfers etc……..

well anyway, this is my little bit, I’m a fifa fan and i don’t like it when people say that PES is better, so if EA had to add these features, i’m sure the FIFA fanbase would grow even more……..thanks!!

The Fifa 08 and beyond can learn something from konami pro soccer series in game playabilty. but fifa did kinda fix the passing and goal keeper issues until a certain point where you can’t switch between different players to get the football. so hopefully in the future they can come up with better game play. be like a pro not bad when the screen goes behind the player when close to goal or doing tricks. Once again fifa series may need to learn from madden 08 and other easports titles to improve game playability.

The major flaw in FIFA game in recent years is not only the ‘weightlessness’ of the ball but also the feeling of underachievement in scoring. Ok so you volley one into the top corner from 30 yards, but unlike pro evo the nets are so rigid it doesn’t feel real. Again in pro evo you feel the vibration of not only hitting the ball but also when it hits the back of the net. This makes a such a difference, on a positive note back in the day Fifa 99 - 2003 was the game but pro evo has almost made recent efforts feel like they know they going to fall short. The basis on last gen has been firmly put in place place and although last season 360 game was terrible (beaten by a very ordinary 360 pro evo) I have high hopes for this season. Maybe with the PS3 on the scene as well more time will be spent on the next gen games

It would be brilliant if fifa could include white hart lane in the next game. Spurs are a side now that are always playing in some form of european competition. what i forgot to say, THE FANS! it would be fantastic to see big flags and tifosi in the crowd… dont make the fans 2 dimensional that would be great, and have it that they don’t all move at the same time…

improve the gameplay like PES, especially the keepers… sometimes if i dribble to the keeper on my own he just stays on the line and doesn’t come out of the goal. Besides it would be fantastic to improve the keepers skills.

I quit playing fifa games since Pro Evo came on the scene, but if fifa gameplay was good i’d play it without question. 1 thing i do miss from fifa games, remember back in fifa 98 road to world cup where u could play 5 aside football? I’d love to have that back in fifa. And no i dont want fifa street because that is all tricks and style. But just a 5man team of players of ur choosing to battle it out in a 5aside tournament indoors as an extra game would be fantastic.

The dugouts should be more realistic, you should see the managers and players, also see the players warming up on the sideline.
You should see the ref and linesmen throughout the game.

Interviews with palyer and managers after the game.

Holland to be added.

in fifa 2000 for the computer it allowed you to see the path the ball would take for free kicks and corner kicks, it also let you adjust the path of the ball, you could add a curve to it, keep it low or throw in a dip, i’d love to see that come back, because i haven’t felt the same control over the free kicks that was there in fifa 2000

A few people have mentioned it already but the inclusion of Celtic Park and Ibrox would be worthwhile. After Old Trafford (Man Utd), Celtic Park is the next biggest stadium in Britain (60,000). Both Celtic Park and Ibrox are full every week and are renound for creating fantastic atmospheres (Paolo Maldini stated that Celtic Park was the most intimidating venue he had played in). Plus the tradition of the Old Firm Derby would be played out more realistically! Can someone let me know if they know if these stadiums are included?? Thanks

I mean, the best one you can have has ‘1834′ written on it, with terraces not seats, who actually has that now?
It’s not hard to make a mix of stadiums - and why not make it so that each team’s home ground has their own colour seats?

I would like to see more south american leagues in the game. There are some very important teams that are missing. Some of them have won more things than most of the teams in the game.

The Irish (Northern Irish) league should be in Fifa. I have waited for it to be in it for years and it hasn’t been included. Now that the Eircom League is i it, I think the Irish League should be too (or at least the top teams in the “rest of world” section). Particularly since SKY Sports will be showing some live Irish Leafue matches this year.

FIFA has all the bells and whistles, but the gameplay is far inferior to PES. It is too easy to win at top level because it is too easy to dispossess the opposition-this might suit the casual punters ( of which many would be FIFA players) but I want a challenge, which PES provides and FIFA does not. So remember EA, its all about gameplay,remember that word- GAMEPLAY- everything else is peripheral to it.

i am a regular player of Fifa.Played since the game was released in 98.there are plenty of things i expect Ea should focus on.As in pro evolution,training between games in career option to boost player fatiuge would give it a real match experience.However playing as a player i.e the new mode intro. by fifa had always been my fantasy which fifa unexpectedly brought in this time.This is what i like about EA . every time they bring new feature in the game unlike Pro Evolution .However the gameplay in lagging compared to pro evolution.Pro evolution actually looks more realistic than EA to be fair.But then manager mode stimulating real transfers and champions leauge feature are a real plus point of EA.So i would suggest to improve in Gameplay and training mode in between manager mode.

How do you guys in EA select which leagues must be in FIFA 08, is it something of quality or merchandising? COLOMBIAN PRO-LEAGUE has to be in FIFA 08, It’s one of the world’s bests.

Make the game more real, improve the phisics engine. The graphics all look the same since 05 isnt time to improve instead of just uptading the leages and shipping out the same game.

The commentary is too repetitve we could use more.
Kicking the ball in 07 sucks you never know how hard to hit the ball if you just tap the button the ball goes nowhere and if you let the bar go the middle th ball goes into the crowd. it would be nice to not see body parts going into orther body parts when there is a sliding tackle.

Please,please,please,please have at least 3 Scottish stadiums in FIFA 08. Especially for next-gen. Ibrox has been in one fifa before, but that was about 99, why not have both old-firm and national stadiums in it. Even tynecastle would be great. I will be very dissapointed if there are no Scottish stadiums in it this year.

4. Create an odd number tournament setup where one would win on points or something
5. Add burst of speed to players on initial start, what i’m saying is that some players should be faster than others at getting to their top speeds
6. In created tournaments have players who get injured bad, stay injured
7. Give referees AI so they could be in the middle of a play, which sometimes happens, and either let the ball go through their legs or sometimes not get out of the way enough on time

2. More leagues: Romania, Israel, Russia, Ukraine and Greece will be a lot more appreciated than Australia and Ireland (no offense).

4. Goalkeepers can take free kicks and penalties.
5. Cards for intentional handballs.
6. Two or three lower league teams from leagues who don’t have lower divisions in the game, so that it could be possible to be relegated in any league.
7. Realistic Champions League, UEFA Cup and Intertoto Cup formats in Manager Mode.
8. Real referees and real managers. An option to play as a real manager (like Ferguson or Wenger…)
9. Better free kick mode, the one in FIFA 07 is really bad (haven’t seen the 08 version yet, though).
10. In Rest Of World teams- all the teams who qualified for Europe (so that you can create the CL, UEFA Cup and Intertoto Cup).

I think that the Scottish Division 1, 2 and 3 should be in it. The Scottish Premier League should be better including puting scottish stadiums in it and making SPL players look more realistic, e.g. Artur Boruc does not have a bald head. I love FIFA it is my favourite game but I feel that EA focuses too much on the FA Premier League and not enough on the SPL.

I havent played FIFA08, but the makers already hinted that it was basically FIFA07 with some minor improvements. Wich, of course means, that the game will have excellent graphics, but the game-play will be too easy and unrealistic, just like in FIFA07… I mean, I could score four goals with H.Larsson in each game of the season, in fact I could score a hat-trick with any player (defenders or att.mids)…

My main critics to FIFA 07;

*1) Too easy, it’s like it is meant for six year olds.. and Football demands a lot of thinking and focusing…,

*2) The oposition allows you too much space, or too much space on the field (there should be a lot more pressuring),

*3) Why don’t they have the Cool Classic players?, the ones people want to see on great graphics; Maradona, Cruijff, Platini, Pelé, R.Baggio, Valderrama, G.Best, F.Hierro, Garrincha, Batistuta, M. Le Tissier, Di Stéfano, Romário, Eusebio, etc…,

*4)Champions League, they’ve got to add. the Champions League to FIFA. It was very laim and $$$ of them to make a game about The Champions League. I understand the World Cup games, they come out every four years… But to do a Champions League game every year?, in my opinion they’re ripping off their customers.

*5)The skills of the players are too few, they are below the basics.. they need to add. a lot more skills for the players..

*6)Too generic, they also need to add. a lot more authenticity to the players in the game (C.Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Riquelme, etc…, they all run and dribble the same exact way in FIFA07), and to the game itself..

-What I mean by this, is; for ex. they should give each player of the game their unique way of playing, of moving, etc.. this can be done by, for ex. adding; a running style, a dribbling style, a crossing style, passing style, shielding the ball style, step-over style, etc… each one of those styles with like 10 styles to choose from, for ex. running styles; *long strides, *short strides, *average, etc.. This can also work with the dribbling styles; South American style, European style, Skillfull type, average type, etc..

-Oh, and The World Cup should definitely be added (along with the International Manager option..).. People will still buy it everytime it comes out (every four years.)… And it would motivate the player to keep going in manager mode; as every four seasons a new World Cup Tournament will be played.. I don’t know if it’s just me, but in FIFA07; I get tired of the manager mode after just four or three seasons.. why; because it doesn’t includes The UEFA Champions League, or The UEFA Cup, or The FIFA World Cup.. in short, the most exciting Tournaments.. I would really apreciatte it if EA could include ”those three Tournaments” in Manager Mode, as it would work as motivation to keep going..

I expect a huge improvement on the graphics for FIFA 08, as it is for the PS3.

It would be cool.. if EA included awards, like; “World Player of the Year”, “European Player of The Year”, “South American Player of The Year”, etc.. And Competitions; the Competitions people really care about, the big-important Cups, like; The ”FIFA World Cup”, and The ”UEFA Champions League”.. The World Cup would/should include a National Manager option..

And mainly I would like at least; twice as much skills as in FIFA07, as the skills of FIFA07 are too few… below the basics.. an example of this, is that FIFA as never had a first touch skill.. and as we know every player haves a different first touch, like; D.Bergkamp, the best first touch ever.. However in FIFA07 everybody haves the same exact first touch.. *This is only one example of many I can find.. FIFA needs to improve a lot more, as they are going too slowly.. almost the same exact game since FIFA 2005.. they (EA Sports) should repay the customers they still have, with a good game, and not a mediocre game with good graphics like FIFA07 (too easy.. all my games ended up with 6-0 or 8-0 victories, and this is in world class mode!!.. how is that?, and I would like it very much if Ronaldinho or Kaka or C.Ronaldo posed at least a little threat to my defence.. I mean Ronaldinho is a joke in this game, I don’t even notice when I’m playing against him..).. EA Sports should also stop ripping of their customers with games like; The Champions League, I mean why don’t they add. The Champions League to FIFA 08 , why? because they want to make more money$$$… Instead of adding so much Leagues, without meaning to offend anybody, all of those Leagues are ridiculously excessive; the only Leagues people really care about, and want to see, are; La Liga, The EPL, Serie A, Bundesliga, Portuguese, The Dutch League, and a couple of others world teams, like; Boca Juniors (they should add. the Argentine League, as this League is of good quality..), River Plate, etc… However they (EA Sports) should really stop wasting space and memory in the game, with all those excessive Leagues that in the end you don’t even whant to play in, or get to play in.. for ex. outside of the Spanish La Liga, the English EPL, and the Italian Serie A, I didn’t get to play in any other League.. for many different reasons.. mainly because I didn’t haved the time to play it that much.. So I think EA Sports should stop adding excessive Leagues, and instead use those spaces to add. more interesting things, like; Classic Teams; Classic Real Madrid (with Di Stéfano, Puskas, and co..), Classic Man. Utd. (with Classics George Best, Bobby Charlton, etc..), Classic Italy (with Roberto Baggio, Franco Baresi, Paolo Maldini, etc..), Classic Argentina (with legendary Diego Armando Maradona, who by the way isn’t included in FIFA07’s Classic Team?? Why?? I don’t really know..), Classic France (with Michel Platini and co..), Classic Germany (with Franz Beckenbauer, G.Müller, etc..), Classic Brazil (with world great Pelé, Nilton Santos, Garrincha, Carlos Alberto, etc..), Classic Colombia (Carlos Valderrama, F.Rincon, Higuita, etc …), Classic 2000’s Brazil (with Ronaldo, Rivaldo, R.Carlos, Cafu, etc..), and many other great great teams through-out football’s history.. I’m sure most of us “customers” would apreciate that more than the Chilean League, or the Korean League, or whatever.. Finally, EA Sport’s FIFA is the best soccer game when talking about great graphics.. However when “game-play’s” the matter, Winning Eleven (or Pro-Evolution Soccer) is far ahead of FIFA.. they just need FIFA’s graphics.. as if they (Konami) accomplish that; the competition between FIFA and Winning Eleven would be over.. And as for what I expect from FIFA 2008; I’ve been dissapointed by FIFA too many times already, so I’m not expecting much.. So I’m not looking forward to buying it.. FIFA haved lost another loyal customer, to Konami’s Winning Eleven.. In fact I’m eagerly waiting for that “other brand” that will take soccer simulation to another level, to the next level, the people that will take it up a notch.. The people that unlike EA Sports; will have “real” love for “real football”.. the ones that will put heart and authenticity before anything else to their work.. what company will do it?, I don’t know… I’ve no idea.. I just hope they make it soon, because current football/soccer games are very far from the reality of the sport, are mediocre, and are very very boring to play.. Very unlike real football…

when a player gets hurt and has to be subbed it should later tell you what injury he had like madden.why not show players warming up on the side line.have the coach shown throwing drink bottles or jumping around after a good goal.

Well you should add De Kuip. Or Feyenoord stadium however you like to call it. It has hosted 11 european Finals. Is home from Feyenoord. Hosts multiple matches (75) from the dutch national team. The dutch cup final is always being played there. And it is a 5 star stadium

Things to add in the FIFA 08 game:
* Real Boots not the EA Boots
*Real Referee and linesmen who actually lift their flags up when you offside
*When signing a transfer you should show a press conference like in PES8
*Showing the players shinpads
*Add the south african soccer league into it the PSL
*Show substitutons when you have to
*Put all the stadiums in of each teams
*They must also add the features that they have in fifa manager 08 like the most improved players.
*They must also put in the confedarations cup, fifa u-20 world cup, and other various club international tournaments.
*In pre season friendlies they must have competitions were teams compete for the pre season cup.
*They must also show when a person is tryimg to tackle another man they must show you that, that specific man will be holding onto that mans shirt.
*Using prpoper name brand soccer balls and not only ea.
*Allowing us to take free kicks with better curving.
*They must also include all inernational teams as well as the fifa world cup.
*In Manager mode they must actually give you the real names of the cups and not the wrong names eg the league cup is the carling cup and the english cup is the fa cup.
*Better graphics and Clear images of all players.
*When creating your own player they must allow you to actually take a photo of yourself and put that photo on the game to that photo.
*Also when Creating a club they must let you make mo of a realistic club sign.
*Interviews after the game with man of the match and managers.
*Add training sessions before all games in manager mode and if a particular player does not show that he is match fit he cant play.
*When you given a yellow card give some sayings that you can say to the ref eg Shut idiot.
*Also add things about the players outside lifes.

Video clips of some great plays n tricks would make the soccer fanatics play the game like crazy! You guys should add tricks to the gameplay to make it more exciting. A new Fifa Street incorporating all the tricks possible to embarrass the opponents badly would be nice.

I was just thinking that maybe you could include some video clip of badass plays done by the greatest - like Ronaldinho, or Cristiano Ronaldo just to name some. Having these kind of clips would make the soccer fanatics get more into buying the game. Freestyle clips wouldn’t be bad at all either, and would make a good addition to the game.

you guys should have fifa life like they can play out in the pitch but how about their lives outside of the pitch

here again, forgot about one thing, since you are making the tricks more intuitive, could you put a sombrero in there? like when you are running and pop the ball over someones head either off the ground or as a pass, kind of like when the a player chests the ball and kicks it over his head behind him and takes off, could you applt the same principle but more freely whilst running or doing tricks?

In the Online League they must make so that all the team in the created leagues have a some objetives for example the Spanish League FCBarcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia want to be 1st (Champion). Sevilla, Villareal, Atc.Madrid etc. want to be 4th. Real betis, Real Zaragoza 7th etc. etc. and so if you finish 1st with Barcelona you will get 150 points. if you finish 4th with sevilla 100 points. if you finish 1st with Sevilla 160 points. if you finish 4th with barcelona 80 points. and if you win a tournement you wil get for example 50 points[I hope you understand what I mean]. and these points count for the league ranking list.

I hope I will see this back in Fifa08.

make the goalie more solid. like when a player is running toward your goalie and is about to shoot, i expect that goalie to dive in there like he doesnt feel pain and smother that ball, i dont care if it causes a pk or red card, but when the goalie goes in for the ball, i want it to be his first priority to grab the ball first, safety of himself and the other player last.

i think over the last 2 years fifa has got better and better but their is no create a team mode, now in pes their is you can make 20 teams which is good and make badges and sponcers 4 the shirts,but fifa 07 in my book and alot of pepole i know think that its now took it place at the top of the leauge as fifa has better movement and it feels all round a better exspirence pro evo is always the same but thats not a bad thing coz u no what your gonna get but fifa is now better and if fifa add a mode were you can make teams like about 20 give the team a kit a badge a logo it will win every year u ask any footy fan thats what thay love 2 do and just think if you could take yer teams on line the matchs people wolud have in the past fifa have had create team modes and even in the new uefa thay had sort of a team thing never rilly worked but this in my eyes and alot of pepole i talk 2 say the same this is the only think stopin fifa takeing over pro evolution soccer because i am a pes fan but if am going 2 be honist fifa 07 on 360 was 10 times better than pes 6 and thats fact but pro evo always has that team edit thing and thats y pepole go back 2 it .

I understand why there wasn’t a comprehensive list of teams in 07, being the first devoted mix of club and national soccer on the 360 console after all. An error i’m sure will be remedied with the 08 version. The gameplay on 07 took some getting used to after playing world cup all year prior to the release. At times is seemed like the players were a bit sluggish, and it was definitely not as easy to juke or make cuts on 07 or even uefa. the trick stick was an interesting innovation that would be nice to see at least a form of return for the new release. I’d also like to see a few more options in the create a player section, as far as being able to create a player with higher stats rather than having to increase them over the span of a season, or maybe even an option to do either way. I wouldn’t mind seeing the option for tournaments like the world cup, or champions league as well. with more player specific celebrations, more commentary statements so that after you play 3 matches you haven’t heard every possible word andy grey and clyde townsley could have said. and i don’t know if it would be even possible to affect this at this point, but michael ballack and john terry don’t have the same body motion or running style or shot on goal for that matter. that was more of a generalization but i’m sure the point is understood. at any rate i’m sure it’ll be enjoyable, like i’m sure my friends and i are taking a week off work for the release to achieve mastery.

about my opinion I think that they must add the four leagues. Asi but much complete the serious game that now. The Argentinean league is but pretty of the world, with the its players, its fields, its fan. I hope that they add to the one of Argentinean, thanks.

In my opinion the U 18s should be visible as a team and you should be able to decide wether you want to have them in your team next season or not and you should also be able to praise U 18s away from other teams and there should be a U18s transfer window so that you could buy the next talent before it breaks into the 1st team and is doppel the original price.
And it would be cool if you would also integrate the other german leagues like the Regional Liga Nord and the regional liga sued!
The Newspapers should have more articles and there should be roumers that player so and so is moving to a specific club or that player so and so wants to get a transfer because he is not happy about his starting options at his current club!
I think with these few add on fifa 08 could become even cooler then the last onces!

Friends of EA Sports, I am a fanatic of FIFAS, the FIFA 2005 was nice, better the FIFA WORLD CUP GERMANY 2006. The FIFA 2007 was the worse FIFA, bad the handle, visual camara, and the yard (very very yellow, no green), i purchased and send to the crash. Please, make the new FIFA how FIFA 2005 or FIFA WORLD CUP GERMANY 2006. I dont want purchase the Pro evolution, please put attention our ideas. can you add a better graphic, cos I’ve got a fast computer and I mean the graphic in EA-football-Games is not the best, I would see more details in the games.
