I would like to see EA make one great playing football game which gets one full downloadable update every year including kits faces names stadiums balls etc. If you guys make a good enough playing game of football you will be able to charge at least £35 annually for the download. FIFA 08 FIFA09 FIFA10 FIFA11 FIFA 12 FIFA13 FIFA14 oh my goodness I’m getting bored here. Stop churning out crap once a year and focus on making someting special! Just the one football game could last 3 years if it were good enough before you had to make another and by that time the progress you will have made technically would be 3 times the difference than we see with your annual releases.

Focusing on ‘Be a Pro’ Mode here…

-You should be able to start of in an U-14/U-13 league for a Saturday morning match team and work your way up to the 1st XI. Then you would have to play there an a League 1/2/3 Prem etc scout would start watching you play then you get signed. Then you train and play in the reserves (And you should be able to do training eg. tapping L1 and R1 in succesion to do cross-overs and pressing X and O to do passing drills.) Then you would work your way up too the 1st XI there then the International team calls. Also, you should be able to focus on your players’ private life, too, so you could make him a public enemy or a national hero.

    - You should be able to create your own stadium and decide on every detail inside it.

    - The kit should change fater every season in the game, or even you would be able to customize it after every season. You should also be able to change kit numbers.

    - Using the Eye-Toy or the PS3 camera you should be able to take a photo of yourself and the use it as the face of a created player in the game.

Hope you look at these EA as the game is spot on =]

in the fan shop u should be able to buy boots (nike, adidas etc) and then put them on players like in fifa germany world cup 2006. that would be awesome thx cya!

  21. Richard says:

    - On Manager Mode, there is not enough variety in night games/day games. e.g. all european cup games are always played under floodlights!
    - There should be more signs of pitch wear and tear leading up to the xmas period on manager mode – more emphasis on the games being played in the dark as normal games at that time of year end up in darkness.
    - in manager mode you should be able to alter player numbers. they must have just forgotten this because they always had it in the previous fifa’s.
    - kit selection, be able to chose colour of shorts and socks.
    - it should be easier to score from range as every weekend in the premiership, we see at least 2 screamers from outside the box. Those balls move so much that keepers dont have a chance.

When playing at your home stadium have the teams “famous song” being chanted by the crowd, eg/ “never walk alone” for celtic and liverpool. Also have adidas live season for the SPL. Park Head (celtic fc) stadium. Ibrox, glasgow rangers stadium. online daily tournaments.

  24. Marty says:

    - Having the ability to change the kick taker for penalty, corner, or a free kick (Basically, when you’re awarded one of these you just pause the game and have an option where it says “Select Kick Taker”.

    - Being able to score with anyone more often. I would have to say that 90% of my goals only come from my forwards in open play. In soccer, everyone scores. Midfielders score many goals, sometimes more often than strikers. Defenders score plenty of goals as well, whether it be from a set piece or just making a run and being at the right place at the right time. Look for videos of goals scored by defenders or midfielders and you’ll see that they score screamers from 30 yards out, scoring from a counter attack, set pieces, etc.

    - Intelligent runs. I hardly get my full backs making those runs to the wings for the crosses. Sometimes full backs or midfielders make runs into the box and end up scoring goals. All my goals, or at least attempts on goal, from a cross in the box is always a forward.

    - This one is not that big of a deal, but it can make the gaming experience more enjoyable. Realistic goal celebrations. The manual goal celebrations is pretty cool, but when I score the winning goal in the 90th minute, I’m sure the player won’t just be jogging around with one arm up. No, because his whole team will be jumping all over him. Like I said, it’s not that big of a deal, but it will excite people more.

    - Having the option to send which players you want in the box for a set piece. I’d like to have one or even both of my center backs in the box for a corner kick sometimes, as they can be good with headers. This is something that should be done in like the formation options.

    - More International Teams. There is not enough African teams and South/Central American teams.

    - Being able to select the kit as well as the shorts and socks. Example, Italy’s home kit is usually blue, white, blue and they away one is white, blue, white. So just having those two kits, people should be able to select if they want to wear all white or all blue, as they sometimes do.

    - Being able to FULLY edit players. Maybe a player has long hair in the game, but then cuts it short half way into the season. It would be cool to be able to change that.

By the way guys great work on Fifa 09 ;) loving it !

    - New Competitions, in my opinion it should be the J-League and perhaps Argentian League ?
    - Adidas Live Season Updates for more leagues such as the A-League, Brazilian League etc.
    - Asian Champions League somehow ? If possible
    - To be able to modify the game such as design your own team kits using computer software and then adding them on and to be able to create competitions using computer software such as this game allows you to do: http://forums.rugbyleague2.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27 perhaps making people pay extra to add them on ? I definantly would add on the Conference League and other lower leagues around the world
    - Special World Cup Edition
    - More International Teams
    - Bring back the kit number selection in Manager Mode, it’s not very realistic seeing a striker you’ve just bought running around in a number 2 jersey
    - To be able to put realistic sponsors on team jerseys at the beginning of a season in Manager Mode and to be able to change the kit
    - To know the crowd figure after the game
    - Love it when the music starts playing inside the ground when its half time, very realistic
    - Players warming up on the sidelines, behind the goals etc. and in Manager Mode to tell them when to go and warm up
    - To be able to choose each part of your kit when your about to play eg. Manchester United, you choose the Red Shirt, White Pants and Socks instead of Red Shirt, White Pants and Black Socks. Just to make it more realistic.

I’l come back if I think of anything else

    Cheers

You’ve made me fall in love with FIFA after the Be A Pro mode was created..
I’m all for making it ever more detailed and intricate in its unique design.
Advances in the series could include:
. Multiplayer offline, for Be A Pro: Seasons, using the be a pro camera etc… This would be really effective for the non online friends to play as their created characters, all in the one location… This gives competitiveness between fellow players, as is in real life, and they would be to stay in the same group (i.e for transfers) to all be involved in the same matches.
. Extended responsibilities, like training committments and such. I can’t suggest an interesting way to include the players’ contract payments, however the chase for a higher paying contract is certainly an issue for footballers worldwide.
. Increased options for Be A Pro camera details, like positioning the camera to the way you face only, as it feels much like in real Div 1 soccer, and perhaps a pressure camera (shaking and close up of the camera) whenever you’re under pressure. I’m pretty sure even defenders feel the strain when forwards are trying to steal the ball from them.
. Maybe give us the chance to play as the keeper? Perhaps, give buttons for dives, slides and techniques for rushing and such. They could also position the wall for free kicks.
Also.. I noticed in 09 that once one was given captaincy of the team, he suddenly gained the power of a manager. No captain I have ever known has been allowed to change the line-up before the match started, or set up the tactics. That is the manager’s job. You should be following their lead as the captain, inspiring your team and making the calls on the field, should anything happen, and be there for the coin toss, official business etc.
The Be A Pro: Seasons also allowed you to transfer to a team and become the captain straight away. That’s simply not how it works. Once in a new club, you have to work your way up, as in any new job or location.
Another possible update could be stadiums for any league or nation you play in, like perhaps a stadium for Australia, or two, and at least some representation of the stadiums throughout the continents.
Team member attachments are another interesting detail that is not seen in the FIFA series. Over time, a team has a certain chemistry, and some players may be more suited together than others. For instance, a pair of forwards always playing together may find a match difficult if a new, third forward is suddenly introduced, and they are expected to fit in. This may bring about biased passing (e.g. the two forwards pass to eachother a lot more) and possibly even a skew in player positioning.
The other aspect I’ve found a little frustrating is player speed. I’ve found that over the years from FIFA 03 and even up to now, players run much more sluggishly and slower than the athletes of today. It is very noticable when controlling players such as Nikita Rukavytsya and Archie Thompson (A-League), and in comparison to the rest, they are much slower than they would be in real life, as are the others anyway. Also, a player in real life doesn’t jog everywhere. One looks absolutely out of place jogging everywhere, when all your teammates and opponents walk around, off ball. Maybe this could be altered? Perhaps, have cases of flat footed players? More or less, leave players at a walk, unless they use the sprint button, and/or maybe a trigger to run, and a trigger to sprint…
The Be A Pro: Seasons could also be made longer, to give offline players some more playability, giving more long term goals… And perhaps slow down the growth rate of a player, or give them a lower starting point to begin with. Maybe age can be a factor too.
Lastly, and very generally seen in every FIFA of the series, is reality problems, due to the difficulty levels. Most games I have played in the series have lost playability because I’ve found the scores at the end to be displeasing. I don’t know if anyone else is similar, but I like the matches to be long, and have real scorelines at the end. Most matches are lucky to have 4 goals scored, in fact most only have 0-1 goals. If something in the engine could be modified to make the gameplay fit this, regardless of how long the game goes for, it would be more effectively realistic.
Thanks guys, keep up the great work! I look forward to the ever growing franchise of these games.

Regariding the Be a Pro mode….. I wish EA is going to make a carriermode for the acutal be a pro mode. What that means, you create your own Player and give him limited skills at the beginning. YOu play for a team and if you do good, you become more skillpoints to increase the strengh of your player. And if you play constantly good and an other team gets interested in you, you might be transfered to this, probrably stronger tream, play in the CL and maybe get a call from the coach of the nationalteam. And there should be a similar system at the online play. there should be playing at least 5 to 11 players in one team. i dont know if it would be cool if you have players sitting on the bench but i would have nothing against that. Beeing a joker and scoring an imporant goal to become a hero isnt that bad either ;) The manager of the online team would be the captain, who is getting voted before the start of every season, or beeing diselected because of his bad performace as a coach. It sounds like a hard thing to make, but i think the guys from EA are geniuses and they would make something like this possible. Cant wait ;)

Regarding BAP mode, i think that there should be more to do in between matches, perhaps interaction with the fans and the media, this also applies to manager mode. Being able to move during the january transfer window would be more realistic too. Also the commentators could have some phrases relating to you whether in manager or BAP mode. Perhaps the introduction of richard keys or jeff stelling would make it ultra realistic.

I have an idea I am trying to get out, that could cause a sufficient forward positive change player ‘total control’…animation and gameplay. Especially, in the ‘Be A Pro’ portion of the game. Not just Fifa but other sports games like NBA Live, Fight Night and where ever else applicable. This idea would improve flow and realness, just on the benefits it could have for ‘total control’. I’m not going to express in detail, what I’m purposing. As I would like to be recognized, to some degree, my contributions if this get incorporated and gets big, as it very possibily can. I want to find someone who will listen and communicate and be willing to take a chance. A person in position to take this to the next level. A number….fax number…..email…….something from someone in development.

please please pleas, make saved games from previous versions compatibale with the new one. Surely EA must realise that people who play manager games tend to be long-term players. Yet every year a new version comes out and the old game i’ve been playing has to be turfed.
And make it possible to delay games. even if there are only select dates that a match can be moved to. i’m sick of having to play 4 games in 4 days, or (in lower leagues) 2 matches in one day.
