BRING BACK ASSISTED GOALKEEPERS JUST NOT 6FT 10!!!!!!
1) commentary > way off a lot of times
2) commentary > ad new persons
3) international games > press articles keep writing about debute game.
4) let player talk to press
5) when transfer offer comes, give information on 'new' team (players, ranking etc) as input for decission
6) shorten close up clips of players during game
7) make available that player during the game can ask to be substituted.
8) when player provoke a panalty, it shoot count as an assist
1. If you could choose to turn off the between game commentary that would be awesome. I've been told the scores by the announcer and the drop down info banner during the game.. Do I really need to hear it a 3rd time? Plus, I hate it when he interrupts my favorite song to announce the next fixtures and the only way to get rid of his voice is to skip my song :(
2. I think it would be cool to integrate the media into the game more. For instance, I just lost a game to a weaker side and during the post-game interview, I can choose to say:
A) It was a fair result. The opposing team played very well and deserved the 3 points.
B) "Blame the ref"
C) My team played very poorly today. We could not take the chances that were given to us. We need to work on our offense/defense if we are going to win matches
Or anything similar to that like the guy above who suggested that the manager could choose to or not to discuss transfer news.
3. Fix the problems from 13.. I apologize, but there is a bunch.
I. Handballs are pretty ridiculous. When the ball is bouncing and about chest high and I attempt to dribble forward, my player will hit the ball into the air with his hands/arms because of his running motion and on top of that, there is no call from the ref. This is the case many times as there have been blatant handballs in the box both from my own players as well as the opposing teams players, but nothing gets called. I've been told that to just turn it off, but I prefer my games to be played properly without any distortion of the rules. The older FIFA's before 12 I think did a good job calling ALL handballs, but this is not the case anymore.
II. First Touches. My players usually have 80+ ball control skills yet they play like a team of middle schoolers at times. All this happens while the computer seems to have flawless passing and near perfect first touches. This gets really annoying when a team like Wigan plays identically to Barcelona. Another similar issue is that cpu defenders seem to easily catch up to my wingers who have 90+ running stats and steal the ball like it's nothing.
III. Auto-switching (AS). You addressed in your commercials and statements that the AS will switch to the player with the highest chance to get to the ball. Not the case in my opinion. I normally have to switch through 2-3 players at times to get the right player, but by then it is too late and the chance is lost. This is also the case with interceptions. I find it difficult to intercept a pass that is like a yard or two away from me because of the reasons I stated above. Please integrate a system that takes the ball height, direction, and speed into account when AS players. I feel that the current one only analyzes location.
IV. Realistic situations. I know this is just a video game so I do not expect much realness, but during a scramble in my own box, I cannot tell you how many times my defender has tripped over my own keeper or another player that is on the ground while going for the ball. They don't even jump or go around like a real player would. Also, I don't like when a ball is going out of bounds and my player is forced to play it. What ends up happening is my player will sprint towards the ball and will be moving to fast just before the ball goes over and will take a touch to control it and tap the ball out of bounds therefore giving a free throw in to the opposing team. This is also the case with balls in the air too. Another instance is when the ball is bouncing and my defender (uncontested) attempts to clear (when I press O for PlayStation) the ball by heading it 5 yards to the opposing team when he could have easily waited a quarter of a second to clear the ball with his foot. This also happens when I attack and cross a ball into the 18 yard box and my wide open player prefers to shank a volley over the crossbar rather than head it in like a normal player. I barely even tapped the shoot button too. Speaking of which, one thing that I think could be fixed is that players do not use their dominant foot in ideal situations. When my right footed attacker is dribbling toward the goal and takes a touch that puts the ball in a position to shoot with his right foot, he instead attempts a banana kick with his weaker foot which results in an awful shot and a goal kick for the other team.
Sorry, I'm not trying bash FIFA 13 or anything.. I just wanted to bring the problems to light so they can hopefully be fixed in the next FIFA.
4. Stadiums. Could you guys pre-name the stadiums of the less relevant clubs? I'm not asking to replicate or create the exact stadium.. I just hate going on the internet to look up the name of all the less popular teams stadiums and put them into the game myself. If your going to give teams like Man Utd, Barca, etc. their own stadium, at least give the other teams the name of their stadium also. I'm tired of playing at a place called Ivy Lane 3-5 games in a row. As I said, I'm not asking for you guys to create a whole new stadium, just incorporate the actual names of the stadiums into the game. And if we the players do not think your stadium selection is accurate, then we can make changes to what we think is better. I feel that this will make the game feel more authentic because players can now play at a stadium that they are familiar with and have a general idea of what the stadium may look like in real life.
5. This ones pretty small, but if you could put back the previous results stat when playing a team you've played before. I know it shows the previous few teams that the other team have played recently, but I would like to see the stat that shows the result of the last time you played that same opposing team.
6. HUD Display. It would be really cool to take out most if not all of the HUD displays so it shows just the score and the triangle that indicates what player you are controlling. This is a soccer simulation after all, wouldn't it be impressive to make it harder to distinguish the game from the real thing?
7. Substitutions and Refs. Could you make the substitutions quicker? or let the player have the ability to skip the animation? And for the refs, could you have an option to make the ref transparent? This way he still appears in the game, but will not influence play in the unfortunate event where the ball might hit him.
This pretty much covers most of it for me.. Sorry for the length
For my scouts in career mode I would like the option to send them to many more countries than only the major nations, for ex. being able to send them to Honduras, Jamaica, Haiti, Uganda etc.
Having your youth squad players, or generated players being able to play more than one role, their extra roles being determined by what other positions you play them in and how often. This gives the youth players more personality and makes youth developement consequentially more interesting.
Being able to play more than 10 seasons, it was quite the dissapointment for me in FIFA 13 when my career mode save file for Wolverhampton Wanderers will freeze after I progress to a certain day. I have a team full of 90+ rated players that i have come to know over 10 in-game seasons, it is annoying i cannot progress and continue to experience life with my team after a decade of fun.
I also think it would be extremely interesting to be able to assemble and manage a youth team that plays in a reserve league against other youth squads, it would be great to hire a manager for your youth side ( similar to hiring a scout,ex. 3/5 star judgement, experience)and while not necessarily being able to play as your youth side, your youth manager gives monthly reports showing stats of youth players, such as goal total, assists, tackles, saves, passes; much like a squad report for your youth side. This would help weed out any "high potential" players that may not actually make a difference, and would be a revolutionary feauture as it would contribute to the complexity and realism of team management.
as club ones.
Be a pro offlibe as well as online as offline in fifa 12 was good to set giald for yout player to acheive.
More realistic player stats Adam Johnson of Sunderland is never that fast.
Fair team matching on Ultimate Team i dont want to play a barcelona team when i am sheffield utd. I am always going to lose.
1. A way to play Xbox players.
2. Tiki-taka formation and scheme.
3. Passing during penalty kick (ala Johan Cruyff).
4. Goal-line technology.
5. A way to argue with referees and other players, esp. when offsides call is really bad and other bad calls, or complaining about unfair play.
6. Full match - 45 actual minutes per half - both offline and online (Ranked) matches.
7. Award for excellent online play (include 90 minute matches).
8. Integration with YouTube for uploading video and social networking, and this should include advertisement money.
9. Authenticated Accounts linked with Twitter to play other Top Level FIFA gamers and real life stars.
10. Portuguese/Mourinho style of counter-attacking.
11. Ray Hudson & Phil Schoen for commentaries.
12. Duncan McMath as another option for play-by-play and interviews of La Liga.
13. FIFA GamePlayer Ballon d'Or awarded by your game play during annual FIFA awards.
14. Better setpiece options.
15. Easier to send up keeper.
16. Park the bus option.
17. Quicker passing speed.
18. Marking for online matches.
I hope this helps. Write me if you will.
Hala Madrid!
IS WE COULD TRAIN AGAINST OTHER PERSON AND WE COULD MAKE 2 OUR OWN TEAM
AND CHOOSE ANY PLAYER WE WONT
1. real referees, howard webb etc
2. In Career Mode, when you are in talks with a player, they could show little clips of him arriving at the training ground for a medical or him holding up the shirt! Would be realistic!
3. Also, in Career Mode, when talking to the press, be able to actually write what you say to them. E.G Be able to discuss or refuse to discuss transfer news.
4. Be able to choose your player’s playing style and behavior off the pitch to suit the player.
5. concentrate as much on lower league clubs as they do with the big clubs from around the world, for example, kits, players (style of playing, looks and overall personality).
6. concentrating on more stadiums and making them look like they do in real life
7. team up with sponsorship deals so they show companies around stadiums.
8. bring back virtual pro into exhibition and career modes.
9. i remember a few years ago you could upgrade your staff, for example, stadium managers(when upgraded, your stadium changes size and shape) upgrade the nets in the goal, eg colour and shape. scouts, managing directors and owners, this could be a chance to make the game so realistic.
10. finally, going back to kits etc, if a club has a home kit, away kit and third kit, put all three kits in the game, no matter how big the club is, no matter what league/country they are in, this will be possible with the technology we have now.
Every time I bump into him, giving my opponent the chance to steal the ball and run to my goal.
And it's good pace became less important but how does a defender with pace 64 manage to keep up with an attacker pace 90?
And the trough ball could be a bit better. When I give a trough ball most of the time it's ment for the guy that's running towards goal, not some guy standing behind me.
when a red card for a player occurs in a career mode the manager could actually appeal for it
I would like it when it comes to the actual year jan 2014 for ea to update boots but also update players potentials depending on how well they are playing in real life
I would also like maybe somebody like the two commentators actually talking and showing clips of the latest transfers
I would also like more players to look like themselves in real life maybe again when it comes to jan 14
also I really want ea to actually buy the champions league license and also the world cup, concaf, euro championship, african cup, copa america and asian cup
Coaches with appearances licensed.
Power to modify the appearance of unlicensed players.
Able to conduct training in career mode to improve fitness and technique of players.
Improve the atmosphere of the games.
Edit the appearance of the coach in career mode, as was creating a player, hair type, skin tone, clothes, and shoes among other features.
Players are warming up and be the same player that the bank's reserve team.
- Players who are over the age of 30 shouldn't retire any earlier than age 35. It messes the game up a bit with so many players retiring as early as 31. Not realistic. Also, it was better in FIFA 12 when only their Physical stats would decrease with age. Their stats just bomb downhill in FIFA 13 which makes signing older players a bit pointless.
- Corners and free kicks need to be better. Most teams send five or six players into the box for corners, but on 'balanced' option only four go forward. Aerially dominant full backs (such as Celtic's Mikael Lustig) won't go forward for corners in FIFA but in real life they always do. It's also far too easy for the CPU to break following your corner. If they get the ball it is impossible to tackle them inside their half. Free kicks that are crossed into the box need to be better too. It's virtually impossible to score from them (in playing FIFA 11, FIFA 12 and FIFA 13 I have only once scored a header, in FIFA 13, from a ball into the box from a free kick).
- Professional difficulty is still unbalanced in the qualities of CPU defense and attack, although much better than in previous installments as the CPU attackers are actually a threat in FIFA 13. But they still stall at times and often make it a bit too easy for your defenders to tackle them. Often this happens more to bigger teams, which sometimes results in unrealistic encounters. For example, my Dinamo Moskva team had a much tougher time beating Mordovia Saransk than Zenit!!! World Class CPU offence is great, but their defence and midfield are too good! I'd suggest the option of separating and merging difficulties, e.g. you can set the CPU defense to 'Professional', but their attack to 'World Class', so it's easier to place a difficulty that's perfect for you. CPU strength needs to be alterable in the sliders, too.
- When playing against people online who disconnect, you should be able to continue playing against a CPU version of their team (although you still automatically get a win and thus don't miss out on the benefits of your opponent's tantrum) so the match doesn't just end, because although you automatically get the win it can be a little irritating.
- I'd like to see official licenses for the Champions League and Europa League, if possible.
- Bring back Player-Manager Career, and make it possible to transfer between clubs as Player-Manager. As great as FIFA 13's Career mode is, I miss Player-Manager, as do many people I know.
- Rest of World should have its own league in Career mode, with all the teams under 'Rest of World' competing in this league (except for Classic XI and World XI, of course). It would be better if you could get the licenses for the entire leagues the teams in Rest of World are from, but obviously it isn't that easy for you to do that, which I understand, but it shouldn't stop you from including them in Career mode.
~ Volke
CONTRACTS - Your player should actually be able to sign a contract lasting a certain number of months/years etc. FIFA 13 had a big improvement in that clubs can try to buy you any time in the transfer window (much better than choosing from five clubs always from the same five leagues), so why not add real contracts to take it a step further? You could negotiate a contract length, and the club could offer extensions if you are playing well or cancel it if you are playing poorly or surplus to requirements. You can also run down your contract to decrease your value so that more clubs will be willing to buy you (a problem with Player Career in FIFA 13 is that after about two seasons you've increased to a rating of 80 or so and only Chelsea/Man City/Barca/RMadrid/Bayern Munich will buy you)
TRANSFERS - As a player you should have more control over your own transfers, rather than just Stall/Accept/Reject. You should be able to negotiate a contract with a potential new team. Also, you should be able to contact clubs yourself to say you are interested in playing for them and see if they are interested in purchasing you, something which could even coincide with contracts (i.e. they respond saying something like "With two and a half years left on your contract, we can't afford you, but if you run it down and decrease your value we could arrange something at a later date").
SPEAK TO THE MEDIA - As a player, you can speak to the media which impacts your relationships with your manager, interest from other clubs, and possibly even strike up a rivalry with a player from an opposing team, all based around what you say. It can also impact transfers/contracts etc, e.g. saying something like "The Russian Premier League interests me" will result in Russian teams trying to buy you.
UTILITY ROLE - As Player Career mode now solely revolves around you starting off as a youngster and building your way up the ranks, it should be more realistic. Most young players are played out of position to give them experience, and many remain utility players for years. As an utility player, you can select a player type (I'll list some suggestions below) with about four positions under it, and the manager will experiment with you in the different positions. Eventually, he could say "You're best suited as a _____", and give you the option to make it your primary position (the others will still exist as secondary positions). While you are an utility player, your stats will balance out based on your potential positions, but alter somewhat (but not completely!) when you choose a primary position. Here are some suggestions as to utility roles:
- Defensive Utility: CB/RB/LB/CDM
- Offensive Utility: ST/CAM/RW/LW
- Central Utility: CB/CDM/CAM/ST
- Wide Utility: RB/LB/RM/LM
- Winger Utility: RWB/RW/LWB/LW
- Midfield Utility: CDM/CM/CAM/LM/RM
- Custom Utility: (Choose four of your own positions. Unlockable at the EAS Store/Exp Exchange, or something. Shouldn't be available from the start)
If you don't want to be a utility player you should still be able to select a secondary and possibly even tertiary position, which could alter your stats slightly (see 'STATS AND MENTALITY' below).
SUBSTITUTE - It's great that you can be substituted, but there are two issues:
- If you're playing as anything other than a defender or goalkeeper, you get substituted every match (usually around 50 - 65 minutes unless you're a striker), which can get irritating. Maybe balance it out, so you're not substituted every match (I can't think of one player in real life who is substituted every match). Also, the AI managers always make the same substitutions, more often than not at the same times.
- You can't be on the bench, which is very annoying. There needs to be an option to BE a substitute. It would make things more realistic.
STATS AND MENTALITY - You should start off with lower stats like all young players (around 55 - 60 average), but with more accomplishments to increase your stats and balance the lower average starting stats, so it takes longer to become a top player. Starting stats for VPs are also too generic and you should be able to answer a questionaire when creating a VP to form your Pro's 'mentality' (e.g., a VP starting as a CAM could answer "What do you prefer to do: score goals or create them" with "Create them", resulting in higher passing stats but lower finishing stats, and on the pitch it would result in the VP making less runs into the box but getting into good positions to thread dangerous through balls etc.)
REST OF WORLD - The teams under 'Rest of World' should be in a 'Rest of World' league, so that they are available to play for in Career Mode (there's not a great deal of point in them being in the game at all, otherwise).
Thanks for reading
Shots should swerve, especially for players like Ronaldo
pace needs to be slowed down
players need to look bigger on screen
Everything needs to look a lot more realistic, player models, crowd, pitch and ball physics
Keepers are too good
Too hard to score long distance goals
Everything should be real time, no cut scenes at all, not for throw ins, goal kicks, free kicks, when the ball goes off, either a new ball is thrown on, player retrieves it or a ball boy
Better weather effects
wind should make players kit/hair move about like usual wind
corners need improving, angles etc
when the weather is sunny it's too bright, looks fake
better camera angles, more zoomed in, like you're watching a real match
When you play a football game you want it to look as close to real football as possible, hopefully the new engines of Fifa 14 for the new consoles will help do this
Forget about all online modes, extras, music etc. Fifa needs to be re-molded from scratch, we want to see a game that is like the difference between fifa 03 and fifa 13
We want a perfect football game, and then we will worry about silly extra features, the core game is the most important thing, which people seem to forget, I wouldn't be happy playing a game anything like Fifa 13 this September, it feels very outdated, we're in 2013, we need a football game to reflect that
