please "long range shot" should be implemented in a better way, not as unrealistic as pro evolution, but something more fun, however in "FIFA 08" this problem pushes the player to attack and score from the sides, also better free-kicks with some trainig mode as well.

more detail in create a player and dat u should start at a conferonce team and work ur way up same with a player

in the next fifa 09 u should be able to scout for young players in the "cantera" of a big team and bring him up from the second team to the first for e.g.barcelonas B squad might have young players that areworthy to put on the first team (watch a star in the making)
another thing that would be great is if u can make a life of a soccer superstar (thats every soccer kids dream)from the time ur small and start to kick the bal and u join a soccer team and u must play well to be scouted to college and from there scouted to an alright pro team and from there to a big team and from there to one of the biggest squads in europe!!!!

i have played on uefa euro 2008 and it was a brilliant game.[i played the ps2 version]
for fifa09 you should adapt uefa euro 2008 by:
making the shooting egine a lot better,it was unrealistic and to easy to score even on world class difficutly
make something like euro campain again but instead of a country, a club and they have to conquer the world
keep the sticker book idea it was brilliant
make more players like there real self

instead of chosing already made up people for manager mode be able to make your own manager
adapt and change the create a player mode because it is to unrealistic
all players over the rating 80 should look like themselves
ditch the create a club mode if you can't make it better
keep the do your own celebration but make it so which ever way you move the right analog stick it does a different celebration

I was just playing with the allstars 11 featuring all the legends from the game but there are a few missing so please can you add SHEARER, ZIDANE, VAN BASTEN, PLATINI, PELE AND NOT TO FORGET BOBBY MOORE!!!

More stadiums would be fantastic. set pieces could do with some improvement especially corners and indirect free kicks. you should be able to have your centre backs move forward as they tend to be the best headers of the ball. also the manual crossing can be a bit bemusing at times. other than that just a bigger database, maybe the rest of world teams could include russian, bulgarian, romanian, ukraine etc. also when u get to a final in a knockout competition, there should be no home or away team just neutral so the crowd noise is the same level for both sides. also if the FA cup is official then if the match should have to go to a replay if its a draw not straight to extra time.

When creating a player you should be able to choose form a wider range of boots for e.g. you should be able to wear Rooneys boots or Ronaldo's boots. Also with the player's celabrations they should be able to choose from already existing ones like Thierry Henry or Ronaldo's

Asian champions league should be included for a league sides to play in and better sponsors with more money for a league clubs.

RUSSIAN LEAGE

During the week you should be able to have a training seasion with the players before the next game , and if the player gets injured during practice he gets ruled out of a mach ( improve your player stats during training) BUT you should also be alowed to have a staff to talk about transfers and scouting and building a new Stadium( have the stadium ready by the next season in manager mode.

Have a Be a Pro career mode where you create your own player and sign with a team depending on how good you do in a tryout of some sort. Then you can work your way up to better teams and eventually national team call up. Along with the suggestions james made down below.

If everything that Hashim Sharif (post no. 9687) was integrated into fifa 09, it would be the best game in the world, seriously.

The main thing that really really annoys me on fifa 08 is when the non existent referee plays the advantage and andy gray says "we dont see enough of that nowadays" and its about the 14th time the ref has given the advantage. So in essence, a lot more variety in the commentary would be brilliant.

Also, its sooo silly how F.A. cup finals, for example, between Arsenal and United are played at the Emirates or Old Trafford! The new Wembley cost £798 million to build ... you would have thought EA would have used it more in FIFA 08. Other than that, its a very good game, and after spending a few hours on GTA IV, then reverting back to FIFA, you realise how good FIFA 08 really is.

Include the USL 1 and 2 teams from the USA. That way the US Open Cup is more interesting.

And work on transfers, too often am i denied a player because there isn't enough on the squads (even when they are selling the player) & should be some transfers allowed between rivals. Also, schedules need to be better, i.e eliminating the fact that sometimes, cup games & league games are either played a day after one another, or played two games on the same day! As if!
DO NOT include diving for free kicks. Its diving that has begun to ruin the game of football.

During a Season we should be able to:
Pick Teams to play against as Friendlies
Enter into Pre-season Competitions: E.g Emirates Cup
OR Tour different continents playing the Best Teams in that country.

Before Each Match we should get a Weekly Training Review of who is performing the Best in Training and who isn't.
So it is easier to pick the Starting Team

At Half/Full time in a match we shud be able to pick Feedback to give each Player, like if they performed terrible or Fantastic, we can tell them

i think the biggest thing that needs to change in FIFA games is actually have central defenders come fwd for corners.. (actualy areal threats like Vidic, Terry, Carvalho, Lescott). Could do this by having your 4 strongest headers of the ball in the box, and a good/striker/volleyer of the ball outside the box to pick up the scraps (i.e., Scholes, Rooney etc) and leave players who actually stay back stay back (i.e., Evra)

All the stuff with kits (able to change shorts/socks etc is good and not having to earn 3rd kits/balls and that would be an improvement)

refereeing is good except i wouldn't mind seeing the ref / linesmen / real coaches and that. delayed offsides would be cool, and subs and that warming up would be good n all

few more real stadiums of course

if teams qualifed for europe this year they should be in the champions league. FA CUP final should be played at Wembley and trophy's should look like they do

well i think that fifa 09 should have a better manager mode. For example, it should have longer transfer seasons, should star with low level teams not really low but 3 star teams, more scouts, able to play copa libertadores, champions theme song, champions soccer ball, the nets of latin america should different from those of europe because in real life they are not same, players should ask for contract extensions, being able to sign to a different team in middle of the season if you get fire, more budgets to lower teams not alot but a slight increase, being able to train your team, more international teams. more stadiums . now gameplay the fans should be more realistic like when the team is playing well they should sing and chant the clubs songs but when the team is playing bad they should buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu or should stay really qiuet that you could actually hear fans saying bad things of the club or players. another thing is that if you dont play the fan favourite the fans should chant his name to make you play him . fans should scream loud when the team makes a goal in the final minute and even louder when the score against their arch rival. they should wear the teams colors and some of the fans favourite shirts. add some kids to the crowd not just men and also some girls. add some mascots. when the team wins a trophy or the league they should show a cut scene showing the palyers celebrating and confety and the fans cheering. the commentators should really be improved they repeat the same thing almost every match. they should be able to say the name of the player who score and the team. before the game they should say something about the home team and away team like statistics
whoe is their goalscorer their most important man for example kaka to milan messi to barca ronaldo to Manu and talk about their table postions. the comentators should also go wild when a player does an amazing goal for ex when ronaldo score the freekick against porstmouth the comentators went wild. add more commentators like at least 3 pairs for english and 3 pairs for spanish and be able to mix them according to their language. more styles of freekicks like ronaldo rockets the ronaldinho freekick ,etc being able to watch the subs warm up, a cut scene showing the fourth referee a machine showing the # the player going in and out. add 3rd kits to every team add mre boots add more formations add more leagues like Argentinian add more legends like maradona pele di stefano rijkarrd romario shearer best cruyff figo zindane

fifa is amazing so much better than pes but it could be made better if you made your home and away kit each season. Have the real stadium for each team not just for the top teams eg) elland road for leeds. have a match of the day type program after a game showing your game highlights aswell as everyone elses games in your league. do real training like laps around the pitch and passing drills etc. to build your stadium up like on lma manager. To have a proper pre season campaign to get players ready and look at the youth acadmey. To be able to have an option to warm your palyers up on the pitch before the game. Have real chants from the fans and if you are a small club that lets say gets to the semis of the fa cup the fans run on the pitch. finaly the players that say are ready to ome up from the youth acadmy have be a pro mode for that player to see what hes like and to see wether hes werth signing.

There are some crazy suggestions here, but here are ones that make sense:

Manager Mode: Hey, I play both FIFA and Pro Evo since they both have their good sides. I do think FIFA is a bit better but only because of manager mode. FIFA 08 was good for every system except Wii, b/c there WAS NO MANAGER MODE! This made me buy the PS2 version which I had plenty of fun on. I don't know why it wasn't in there but anyway, please make sure you it's there next time.
-Don't let a player sign with a high rated team as first job. Seriously, will Man U take a guy off the streets to manage? He'd probably still win with their roster, but SAF wasn't taken off the streets for sure.
-Also, how about an option to be national team coach? That would be a change of pace from the usual.

Leagues: some people here ask for some weird leagues (Qatari? How about one that has some sort of recognition?) Here are some that should be added:
-Argentina
-Greece
-Russia
-2nd Divisions in places where they are not region separated (Portugal, Netherlands, Scotland anywhere else that's already in the game). You sorta did this with the big European leagues already.
-Not Blue Square Premier or North/South! I don't need 1/4 star or amateur teams in a game that's missing 3-star leagues

Create Teams: 2 teams created is not enough.
-You know what? Instead of having to add leagues, why not make generic leagues that players can edit with their own league teams and players? Even create a league logo. That way everyone is happy.
-When creating a club, they start in the lowest league in the country they play in with a crap stadium that you create. Instead of having staff upgrades for your stadium, you have to buy sections of the stadium to be built.

Others:
-Instead of having the same old English and Spanish pair, how about having an option of having the announcers speak the language of the home teams country?
-Bring back the special scoreboards from World Cup 06.
-Fans need to be louder. And for some reason League Two teams' fans are louder than MLS when MLS gets triple the fans. Now does that make sense?

MATCH DAY MODE

In Be A Pro Mode:

From the minute the team arrives at the stadium you check the pitch and the conditions, which is when you choose your own boots to suit the conditions and put the training kit on with own style (sleeves rolled up, shirt untucked, socks over knees etc.)
Leave the dressing room and go through a thorough warm up. Choosing whether to report or ignore minor injuries.
Cut scenes that go back into the TV studios where TV pundits talk about the teams and key players etc. (martin tyler and andy grey etc.)
Return to dressing room where life-like managers go through the team talks and explain roles of individual players giving you a role that you ahve to stick by.
put the match kit on and walkin through the realistic tunnels of famous stadiums to play the match.

=make it so that the other team adapts to your style of play
=why does nearly every team that doesn't have a stadium on da game play at the same boring estadio de las artes stadium or wotever it is called

russian leagues coz Zenit won da UEFA Cup

get ref, linesmen and 4th official in the game, see the players n coaches staff in the bench so we can c them. get all teams stadium every single one not missing gaps stuff. you should invented dive play. get real actual faces every players. also get all round the world football balls.
