Your Ideas for FIFA 09

- Needs a better control system(not so much passing and shooting, but the style of kicks and passes e.g lobbed throguh ball, hard shot, soft shot, curved shot etc.)
- More fluid movements when dribbling e.g. when turning, the player should automatically do something quick instead of turning their whole body around the ball.
- Refs and linesman on the field. However don't let them get in the way of the play.
- There should also be an option of how strict on the rules the referees are.

You guys should make more teams like guatemala honduras, over all more internacional teams and in manager mode more cups and internacional cups and more life like players also the best idea that i would buy the game for sure more leagues like the guatemalan legue the primera a in mexico, argentinan and greece and alot more would make the game better also traing in manager mode train to get xp and friendlys. also walk around your own house you buy and workout. that would be perfect also in the arena play add a defender

I believe that if you create a team then you will be able to make a league larger
for example, In the MLS, there are only 14 teams and it isnt that fun, Although Seattle is going to make a team and will be turned into 15 teams, it'll be nice if you can make other cities as well like Atlanta, Carolina, Detroit, and also moving teams, also be able to relocate,
and add in the cities, not trade them like in fifa 07 for the xbox or ps2 we should be able to just add them into an empty slot
i also believe that the MLS is really underated, and the U.S national team
also include more central american teams at least in the North/ South American version so that the latinos over here can have there favorite nations.

Here are some more ideas even though FIFA 08 is a wonderful game:

- In create a team mode you should be able to personalize your team like create a supporters club name and a song or chant, year founded etc.

- I agree with different camera angles specially for be-a-pro for example, a first person camera would e great or a more distant camera that roams around and captures your player and ball could be seen being played from far away.

- Every boot that you wear should give a different feel or performance. That way more thought could go into buying or creating a boot.

- In creating and editing a player make it possible to change your hairstyle, make your hair grow or get a shaven head.

- Put more enfasis on International teams and competitions like World Cups, Euros etc..

- Make a International Manager mode where you manage your team through friendlies, qualifiers, world cups, euros and all types of matches. You should also have an assistant manager. When selecting a squad there should exist players issues like injuries while playing with their clubs or a player not wanting to play for the team etc..

2. the cpu on manager mode should change their lineup from starting 11 to reserves.
3. or instead of Manager mode you got Franchise mode
4. player individual awards after season. ex (top scorer, clean sheets, assist, solid defender, a midfield maestro, attacking wingers, etc.)
5. More work on staff upgrades

Fifa 09 should allow me to create a player of any rating. in fifa 08 I tried to remake Zidane but I only got him up to a 67. If i want to make a player a 99, I should be able to do so.

One final comment, the career mode is too easy, after 5 or 6 seasons you can buy anyone, and buy all the young players that are, for some unknown reason, at the age of 19 rated at 88/100 etc, and you just end up with a monopoly on all the youth talent and a team with no one rated under 90.

Also one thing that got me on career mode was finishing 3rd with Millwall and i didnt make the playoffs because there werent any.
Get playoffs into the game. Final of which is played at Wembly.
Plus some of the comentary is just trying too hard to seem as if they are actually holding down a conversation. Just have Basic commentarty, i dont want to hear about when Gray scored against Liverpool for Everton.

I think that the player ratings need far more research personally, perhaps to use a database similar to that of Football Manager.

My reasoning for this is that players such as Hossein Kaebi, argued to be one of the quickest players in the world, has top speed rating of around 75, purely becuase he plays for Leicester City and not Manchester United. Players in lower leagues on FIFA 08 arent allowed to be quick for some reason.
Cristiano Ronaldo is unbelievably overated on the game, in relation to pace, its ridiculous. Watching Premier League games in past years and ive seen players like Ashley Cole, Clichy, Essien etc keep pace with him, yet because he has an outstanding season scoring goals he is the quickest player on the game.

More research needs to go into youth players, or a new way of rating them, Fransico Merida Perez has a rating of about 52 yet he is one of the most promising players in the world but on fifa doesnt reach that level, unlike on a game like Football Manger where he becomes as good as someone like Fabregas.

Goalkeepers also have no ability to sprint, they only seem to sidestep and alot of the time let the ball go out for a corner when they could keep it in if they were to run, like they would in real life. They also seem to have delayed reactions.

Along with that, more animations, such as a referee on the pitch, like in Pro Evo, more cutscenes, like celebrations, manager reactions and more stadiums, like the Bernebau, the Stadio Del Artes or whatever its called is horrible and its annoying having to play in it in career modes with teams that dont have a stadium.

Teams like Manchester United are just too overated, Hargreaves is

there should be more trick moves like nutmegs and sombreros. the crowd needs to react more realistically. the commentators should be more lively and accurate. the indirect free kicks should come back, and set plays need to be more sophisticated. there needs to be more international teams. clubs should have youth teams in managers mode. training in manager mode should be more diverse. young players should develop more realistically. The goalkeepers should make less dumb mistakes. the injury staff should show up to spray players or carry them out. there should be more injuries in the matches. there should be more shot options not just the usual headers and volleys but more creative shots like backheels etc....

You should have better Goalie Kits, Referee on pitch, You should be able to be the chairman. Also i like the idea that was mentioned of a 18 version of fifa 09 and a 3 plus. Also there should be the conference league and the russian league with teams like CSKA Moscow. Also sponsers should turn you down and the scouts need to be improved and so does the academy because you only get at top clubs players that will never be as good as say Ronaldo or Gerrard.

i think on manger mode you should be able to change the teams kits and see the mangers face like euro 08 and i think there should be all the footie leages EG:blue square sprem
and if you singh a player you should be able to see a mini clip of the player sighning the contract

i think FIFA 09 should have:-

hi, i think these features should be included in fifa09:
1) show line-ups during the entrance scene
2) show substitution scene, see the player coming off and giving handshake etc to the player coming on, and ref showing the number board would be cool too
3) in statistics, show assists as well as goals
4) make making transfers between teams a little easier
5) make the price for the player more realistic, like in a real game
6) make switching between teams in team management easier
7) include a creation center
8) change the scale of player skills back to 1 - 7 instead of percentages
9) include european cup and uefa cup mode
10) change the corner kick taking system

11 vs 11 online PLZZ :P or 10vs10 ´will be Awesome :D

i agree with Luke's comments number 10259. but i would like to see if a team avoids relegation from a league or gets promoted from a league that the fans would come onto the pitch.

-lol...this one is a little too overboard.....in story mode..u start off from a poor lets say 10 year old and u are playing in the streets(not just a clip of a kid playing..lets atleast get to play acouple games in the street as a little kid,lol) and u are seen by a club who agrees to pay all expenses for ur gear ,everything and thats how it starts

I think their could be an extra bit added to 09 such as you start as a normall person and player and have to work your way up to be a footballer. you should get scouted for better teams as you go training sessions and try to become the best.

- I think that in fifa 09,there should be a story line mode,like be a pro but this time u start from a teen in a recreation league or something(lets just say u start small)..and how u play,determines how quickly u get scouted..so its like u have ratings and the better i play in my matches the better my rate,so depending on how fast my rate gets to a pro standard i get scouted for a pro club(small pro club)...the better my ratings the more popular i become,which would now make bigger clubs interested in me...now u get the piont,and this would keep going until i choose to retire but if i dont retire before 45 u are forced to quit the career and start a next one and see which club would be interested in u this time
-u should see refs and linesmen
-u should be able to dive,shirt pull and stuff like that(it sorta adds to the fun of the game)...also,if u fouled someone or was fouled,u can choose if u want to react good or bad...so supposed u fouled someone but it wasnt bad so the ref lets it go,but u decide to react in a bad way,u can get a card,even though the ref wasnt going to give u one...bad reactions can include spitting,slapping in face,pushing the player down,etc,but nothing too much.
-when in be a pro/story mode,u should be able to choose a set of celebrations(which would either be there from the game or custom made) and set them to different buttons on the controller....so say i set a certain celebration to (speaking of ps3) x another to the L1 and another to R2....if i score i would then press which ever celebration i want
-when a sub is made,an official should hold up the board with the numbers and the players should be seen showing some team spirit...like touching hands,hugging etc.
-when a player is injured or "semi injured"....the medics should come out with some spray and a stretcher..instead of seeing the player going of limping and CLAPPING,then u hear they have a dislocated elbow.
-when a player gets a straight red,u should see him going down the tunnel with an angry face.
-the crowd should be 3d and lively..not just sitting there or jumping up like idiots...and for cry out loud spend some time with the game...u see 10 dawn people in the same row wearing the same clothes...like change the type of clothes or atleast use a full selection of colours...u should be seeing 3d fans in jerseys or something...not just plain shirts that 95% look retarded because they have the same exact thing.unless they are wearing a jersey,they should not be wearing the same exact thing.....and also they look like idiots when u see them doing the same thing over and over...for crying out loud show some people walking through the aisles with food and beverages or something...spend time on the crowd,jeez,the crowd graphics just make me sick

-oh yea,for the story mode thing...make the graphics something special...when u are a teen,u should look like a teen,but do something like when u are finished creating the player(the player that u create is specially for this mode and wont be available in any other mode..not even kick off) he looks young but after he turns like 18,years or so...lets see him with a little beard growing...now u can edit ur style..u can shave ur beard(which would keep growing back) and choose ur hair style(please dont make the cornrows look so stupid this time) and stuff like that
-and also in story mode...when/if u make the first team(yes,if...please,just to make it soo that u can just make the first team..make it realistic...u have to reach a certain rating by a certain age to reach first team)....now when/if u make the first team...the decision of if u get to start or if u are a sub would be made by the manager...and u get to set your morale....so say u are always on the bench...even if u are good...u can change your morale to what ever and when it comes to transfer season,u can even choose if u want to tell reporters that u are unhappy and wish to leave or if u want to stay(you know..transfer stuff) and u can even be put up for sale if your ratings are not good enough for your manager
-and make the goal keepers better..i mean..sometimes they dive and punches away the ball to the opposing attacker and then they stay on the ground for a long time and as soon as the goal is scored on u they get up and a little bid...just a little bit more difficulty in matches..sometimes its too easy and if u can i dont know if its the game or the system it self but try prevent lag in online play....and make sure there is still a be a pro online mode....if it doesnt have that the chances of me(and many other people) buying the game is slim

you need to fix the free kick system because sometimes the ball won't bend or curve at all. you also need to fix the goalkeeping system because the goalies sometime get to the easiest shots trickle into the net. You guys also really need to improve the defensive A.I alittle more because sometimes the computer just stands around and watches the dribblier run by. finally i say a co-op manager mode would be a great addition because sometimes showing who has the better playin skills esp if 2 people are in the same league things are more fun because we have a reason to keep playing our hardest. thx

I think fifa 07 was the best game ever. However, it was far too easy to score goals in Fifa 07 and far more difficult in Fifa 08. The most absurd part was that the goalie wouldnt let anything in, no matter wherever the shot was from. You can improve that to a far greater extent. Secondly, try paying some attention to Evra, he is a fantastic player and atleast deserves to be in the mid 80s. Moreover, whenever we feel a player has vastly improved and we want to edit him, please do not take his commentry name away. Add appearance edition options aswel, Ferdinand contniues to have a lot of hair. thanks!!

ok this is something my roommate and i have wanted to do for a while now...

we want to play manager mode together.

so i think fifa 09 should include the opportunity to have two or more managers in manager mode so that I for example could be manchester united and he for example could be ac milan.

-The players need to run more lifelike, when they switch directions, and start sprinting, it would look better if they had that lifelike battle for balance when they run, like Henry has and Torres.
-It would make the replays look a lot better if the players had changing facial expressions as the game progresses.
-Have the players lift the trophy and celebrate with the actual trophy they have won in tournaments.
-Have crowd show emotion more based on the progress of the game and the intensity and relief of the game

i think you should be able to
1) manage 2 teams meaning a international team and a premier league team i think tis would be great.
2)also some players should want to leave the club because they are unhappy or they just want to leave.
3)i think what david said is a good idea but when you retire playing football become a manager or a coach.
4)also when you just begin playing football you start with a old rubbish car and live in a old house/flat and should be able to buy new cars and houses.

Some good players arent good in the game like Karim Benzema and Evra make them good!

My proposals for Fifa 09:

- Make the radar customizable so that we can set the size of the players on the radar myself. (Personally I think the player circles on the radar are a little too small and the radar in general is a bit indefinite) It would be optimal if we could customize the size and background colour of the whole radar, the colours of the player-circles on the radar and as their sizes.

- Work on the "Pro" camera so that this experience becomes even more thrilling, which could also become the future of online-soccer. In Fifa 08 there are many situations where the camera angle is suboptimal for the current situation. I think it would also be good to include more player speaks in this mode and not only when the player is near the goal.

- Work on the responsiveness of the players, especially when turning directions. But I think that's been worked on, already.

- Better the player animations so that there's no "break" in animation when changing directions. The players should be animated completely fluid for an even more realistic soccer experience.
