hey guys was pretty impressed with fifa 08 but much more can be improved.
officials on the pitch
easier for lower league teams to loan young players from ie man u
russian league
international cups ie world cup, african nations cup, euro cup
free kicks made a bit easier
blue sqaure league
more fights in games more emotion ie managers argueing with fourth officials over descions and offsides
more international teams ie ivory coast
cant wait for fifa 09 whoop!!

I would like to see more lower leagues e.g: Blue Square Premier,Isthmian(Ryman),Championnat de France Amateurs 1and 2. Also, I would like to seea womens legue or championship.

well….what i think should be in fifa 08 is the game not just concentrating on always saying good things about premiership teams and other teams in the top leagues but never saying anything about them teams in league one or league two not to mention the championship like as soon as you start a match with for example port vale and manchester united its always saying well theres a clear winner on paper here and that was a magnificent save by van der sar so here are a few things i would like to see in fifa 09
1) A referee on the pitch.
2) More aggressive football from the ai so there is some bookings for the other team.
3) better reactions to things happening to team mates for example a foul being commited and the manager shouting and the players crouding around the referee.
4) Having a manager on screen sometimes either motivating the team or giving the team instructions even if they dont make any difference it would be nice to see both teams managers on the side of the pitch.
5) More realistic graphics on everything especially the fans.
6) Definatly more football grounds beause why would a team not in the premiership play at old trafford at home it doesnt make sense an idea for the future not just for fifa 09 would be to have every football stadium for all the teams if not most of the teams.
7) Different teams playing their styles of football for example millwall fc fouling more than normal and tottenham with their passing football.
8) To be able to have not just the contracted players but the loanees at each football club so that all the players in the squad for each team are all there.
9) More weather conditions.
10) Pitch damage for example the grass being pulled out by the studs and people doing sliding tackles.
11) More cups like the champions league and having the proper names for each cup would be a lot better.
12) More sound tracks
i hope to see some of these things in the new fifa game as i know i will buy it and plus it will be a lot of reasons for people to buy the new fifa games instead of the petty alternatives like pro evo soccer and this is football lol

Heeyy.. I’m Tom and like most of you on this site, I have been playing Fifa for years and there has always been room for improvement in one way or another. I have compiled a list of ideas, some of my own, and some of my friends, on ways in which we believe if included in Fifa 09, can make it the ultimate football experience.
Please try and find time to read this post, if you that take time to read this… I’m sure you will agree
Longer cut scene - for example: loads of different celebrations for players (e.g. Run into crowd, celebrate with manager/substitutes, all different types of real celebrations and long ones with lots of players involved and not just the right back)
fourth official showing numbers on electronic boards, managers arguing with fourth officials over decisions, players arguing with referee, confrontations with other players after fouls, captains shouting, players congratulate keeper after good saves, crowd reacting to decisions, show score on score boards.. Or at the bottom of the screen with goal scorers or times of goals scored.
Referees and linesman visible when actually playing a game and not just cut scenes, also show fourth official
Referees make wrong discions, such as penalties, free kicks, throw ins and offsides
Players able to dive or hand ball, pull shirts
Weather conditions.. Such as rain and snow, pitch gets waterlogged/muddy
Weather conditions actually effect game play.. Such as playing slipping over, ball skidding, players slide more often and further.
Skid marks left on pitch where players slide/fall over
Players and their kits get dirty
Balls get dirty
Kits get untucked
Sleeves rolled up
Players wear under armour, warmer clothing such as gloves in winter.. ‘hard’ players keep short sleeves
In rival matches fouls and confrontations happen more often. They should be either tight or free flowing matches.
In manager mode, matches are realistic such as in winter months the weather and player clothing changes.. and champions league matches are played at night
Crowd dressed in team colours.. So you can distinguish home and away fans.. Also they should react to what is happening on the pitch.. Example player gets fouled.. Goal scored/conceded.
Ability to choose who comes up for corners and free kicks.. For example goal keepers and centre backs
Goal keepers make mistake.. For example fumble the ball, they can be challenged at corners by strikers and miss ball/ drop ball.
Bigger pitch with more space.. Players make more runs into space, full backs overlap wingers, and shots are harder.. Can hear players kicking the ball.
Attributes make more of a difference.. Faster players out run slow ones with ease, strong players muscle off small weaker ones.
More free flowing.. Players run faster.. Turn sharper.. So could for example take on goalkeeper or cut inside to cross and fool defender
Players controlled by computer do tricks too
Formations make more of a difference.. For example.. Using five players in midfield will mean more possession.
Player development more realistic.. Done automatically and for example, young players develop quicker than older ones, and older ones get worse rather than better.
Young players improve more when played more often and against bigger teams.
Player that are loaned out actually play for their team.. And also the ability to trade players.
More stadiums instead of just one for nearly all the teams in the premiership.. For example.. Several variations of the stadium used (div 1)

for many times the keeper save without touching the ball ………it’s a big bug and lots of problems by activating my player like if i run with a player it changed to another one closer to the ball and this make me crazy when i defend .
please tell me if it will be on ps2.

Need to sort the freekick system out, should be able to control swerve/curling of the ball and more fancy set pieces, to out- wit the opponent.
Different premier league stadiums, was very happy with the addition of white hart lane in fifa 08 as im a spurs fan and never thoght it would happen but its only been put on the PS2 version.
You got to have a couple of the big stadiums, but why not have, upton park, fratton, villa park etc…boring having the same stadiums year after year!
When running with the ball, should be able to flick the ball up in your stride like in fifa 04 or 05.
Dont know why this action was made non existent or just very difficult to perform in the recent fifa games.

You should be able to do all the the things i recomend.
1.In manager mode there should be champions league.
2.the players should pull on each other more realistic fits.
3.C.ronaldo should have realy long ankle tape along with all the other players that do.
4.For free kicks you should be able to dipit and curve it alot with outside and inside of foot.
5.In manager mode there should be world cup player should have to mis a game because of intrnational duties.
6.players shoul get hurt badly so they have to have a stretcher.
7. Each player should be were real soccer cleats not the dumb ea ones and all the cleats should be unlocked.
8.When player is injured in manager mode they should show them on the side lines with cruches or someting.
9.there should be a reserve league in manager mode so you can bring players up and play those games.
10. They should have high low and madium socks .
ALL THESE THINGS SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE XBOX 360 FIFA 09.

1) TRAINING MODE
- it would be good to see some training sessions where it utilizes the Special Moves stick. As the player goes through the training sessions (or “small games”), it will tell show you on the screen in which situations you should use which special moves, at exactly what time. kind of like what that game Skate does for its tricks but not as complicated of course
2) GRAPHICS
- better Stadium animation and interactions. need more variety of people with different outfits, different movements. it would be nice to see some banners and signs that shows the Team names, etc.
- It would be nice to see tiny bits of grass/dirt splashing when the player starts to sprint, tackles, falls, etc.
- if the stadium is in a city, it would be nice to see some animations from the city itself. such as helicopters, lights from tall buildings, moving clouds, birds, etc.
- it would be nice to have more interactive cameraman on the side, so that if the ball goes towards him, or if any of the players run towards him, he moves out of the way… or players can run into them and both fall… etc.
- when selecting Ball, Stadium, it would be nice to actually preview them, instead of trying to remember what the ball looked like or what the stadium looked like.
3) SOUND
- depending on where the ball is on the field, it would be nice to hear the coach yelling. also, more player calls would be nice… especially right before any corner kicks, etc. just players yelling at each other about “take your positions” ,etc.
4) PLAYABILITY
- ability to “take control” of the player quickly, when you do a through pass to him. right now, if the pass is going the wrong way, you cannot move the player to go after the ball… he is stuck in his original path.

also, when you pick the pitcure of your manger at the beginning of manager mode, you should be able to see him celebrating when you win a trophy. this is simlar to stokies point

i think that in fifa 2009 when u create a player u should have game face and also when your playing get the commentators to say your name should be able to get the world cup the european cup the uefa cup the champions leauge the african nations cup ,offline player but able to play as a season or a cup hope some of my ideas are in the new fifa 2009 thnks

i thorght fifa 08 on ps3 was a let down there was no handball the offside rule was shocking.
My Ideas
1: Put handball in fifa 09 ( it is a football game after all)
2: more weather conditions like snow,fog,rain
3: Make it easy to take a freekick like put a target on like in fifa 2003
4: put the ref on the pitch so we can see him and that sometimes he gets in the way like they do in real life
5: in manager mode make it so you can see the managers on the side of the pitch so like when one of the teams score the other manager starts shouting.
6: make the players more realistic and make there overall a lot better like rooney was only 90 he should be like 94-96.
7: make it so you can create your own kits
8: add more realistic boots and balls
9: make the players fight more like if there teams does a bad tackle on you your team like starts crowding round and they all start pushing.
10: have awards like if a player of your team gets best player in the world award he ranks up like if hes 92 and then he wins best player in the world or the golden boot award he goes up to like 93 or 94.
11: make it so your can see the cups you win its like you win the fa cup but you just see your team cheering and then it goes off make it so you can see them lift it.
12: my last idea anyone remember fifa 97? well i do lol and its best feature was the INDOOR STADIUM add the indoor stadium to fifa 09 and then that would be a killer game which i would buy!

In manager mode if other games are playing it could show the table how it stands and at the bottom of the screen it could show the updates and the commontaters could talk about it. Real comontaters

i know its not easy making a videogame like fifa especially on ps3 but the only thing the current game suffers is variable weather such as rain, snow/frost, sun, cloudy ect that would a be a drastic improvement. i think the audience in the stand look better than previous fifa games but realism is still important. it would be amazing if it was 1080p for ps3 and a improvement on graphics and realism. apart from those minor tyings the game is still way way better thanthan pes08 and i always love a good game on fifa 08. another thing would be for adjustable camera heights and angles like fifa 07

you should put the team mascotts on 09 and on manager mode you should put the world cup or african cup of nations or the european championship.
if a really hard challenge is made there should be a huge fight and 2 people sent off

Fifa 09 MUST HAVES
1. All 4 Officials
2. As many original stadiums as possible
3. Put your face on create a player
4. Skills that CAN actually be performed properly
5. Medics and stretchers for injuries
6. Create a team, Kit (better and more up to date styles of kits - chose from different styles of name on back according to different leagues) Manager - for manager mode, and create a Home Stadium for your team to play in
7. Celebrations!!! Need to be more updated… Nani’s accrobats for example… Would be class if they were included
8. Be A Pro - When you do training, you ACTUALLY have do do training. Practice shooting, set peices, assist your keeper with his training etc
9. Show 4th Official for added time and subs (Show coach giving subs instructions when coming on)
10. Manager Mode - Play as your favourite teams manager not just yourself. Play as Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, Fabio Cappello or even Paul Jewell
11. More realistic cash figures for transfers and wages
12. Visit your teams “museum” and see all the trophies accross the years your team has won and the cups YOU have won
13. Proper trophies!!! Especially Champions League and FA CUP!!!
14. Just watch a couple of games on the TV and get more realistic idea of how the game should look… Just can’t wait for it to come out!!! BIG UP FIFA!!! DOWN WITH PRO EVO!!!

I think you should get more leagues like Croatian League, Serbian League, Greek League, Ukranian League, Russian League,
There should also be more younger and experienced players. the teams in manager mode should have more money like maybe villareal cuz they have on 18 million i think and arsenal should have more. There should be more cheats and you should be able to start fights by pressing R2 like takin a quick free kick

1- Better music from more reknown artists. Put some rock, reggaeton, and pop. (Saliva- Ladies and Gentleman, that ricky martin world cup song, black eyed peas- pump it, maroon 5, Juanes, Shakira- Bamboo- Hips Dont Lie Remix, Kat Deluna, Cascada, Drowning Pool- Bodies, Flo Rida- Low)You know upbeat songs
2- Of course, MASCOTS!
3- Different Climates. Snowing, Raining, Muddy, lets say a game starts at 6 the sky color should change from daylight to dark(nightime)
4- Cut Scenes is a must
5- Create own manager.
6- If a team has a low attendancy rate the stadium shouldn’t look full
7- Colombian league and Argentine League. A Must Have!
8- FUTSAL. At least a small international tournament.
9- Beach Soccer would be awesome.
10- Smoke and fire crackers in Italian stadiums.
11- Show other teams managers.
12- Remember FIFA07…
13- more commentators and spanish commentators.

These are the things that would make FIFA 09 the best soccer game:
1- More leagues/tournaments/cups. For example: colombian league, argentine league, egyptian league, greek league, Euro, Copa America, Gold Cup, African Cup of Nations, World Cup, Confederations Cup, Copa Libertadores/Sudamericana, World Club Cup.
2- More international countries. For example: Colombia(they deserve it. they have been playing good the past two years), Ivory Coast(awesome team), Ghana, Egypt(African Cup Winners), Togo, Angola, Mali, Holland(the most obvious one).
3- More stadiums. FIFA 08 did not even have one of the most famous stadiums, the Santiago Bernabeu! Every team from the EPL, La Liga, and Serie A should have its own stadium. And for the rest of the leagues there should be at least 7 to 10 stadiums. For example: Estadio El Campin, Home Depot Center, City of Manchester Stadium, Villa Park, Reebok Stadium, Santiago Bernabeu.
4- Create Stadiums(like in FIFA Street 2), Teams, and Players.
5- More and Different commentators. Try having Spanish commentators. For each league have different commentators. If I am playing La Liga I should have the choice of having a Spanish commentator. For example: try getting those commentators from ESPN that commentate the Champions League or the spanish commentators that commentate the Copa Libertadores/Sudamericana on Fox Sports en Espanol.
6- Career mode should also be available for soccer players. It’ll be like be-a-pro mode. Every player has their own storyline.For example: start with cristiano ronaldo. then sporting lisbon sees him play and they buy. then depending on how well he plays manchester(if he plays good) or a worse team(if he plays bad) will buy him. then the story continues.
7- Show the ref and the linesmen while were playing. Show the 4th official showing how much time is left.
8- Show the manager and the players in a press conference or interview after the game.
9- In Manager Mode, training should be included. We, the managers, decide what the practice will be like and show how the training is going and who’s working hard and who’s not.
10- Interactive Crowds. For example: Booing a player who is playing bad. Applauding a player who is playing good or making good tackles. Fans holding banners.The characteristics of each team’s fans doing what they do. Liverpool fans singing you’ll never walk alone, Real Madrid fans banging the drums, Boca Juniors fans singing and chanting, Houston Dynamo fans throwing paper streamers to the field, Toronto FC fans throwing pillows to the field.
11- In Manager Mode, when you get to level 10 you get called to be the manager of your country. Then you get to play for your county’s regional tournament(for example if your managing argentina, you play in the Copa America). Then you have to qualify to the World Cup and then if you do, you play in the World Cup.
12- Show the commentators in the beginning.
13- Get better FA Cup, Carling Cup, and Champions League licensing.
14- Have a soccer show focusing on what happened over the weekend in the league.
15- A FIFA newsletter. Show highlights of other games in the league.
16- An Awards Show at the end of the year.
17- Real sponsors for Manager Mode and etc.
18- In Manager Mode, be able to change uniform.
19- FIFA 09 Extras- Videos, Pictures, Interviews, EPL Season Review 07-08 , La Liga Season Review 07-08
20- When we win a cup or league make it better. For example: When Manchester United won the league a platform was set up.
These things would make FIFA 09 better. Please accept our ideas. After all, its us that buy the games.

I think having more youth players and they could get players that are unattached and have them on the free agency on manager mode, also having the Russian,Argentinian and Ukranian leagues would be great! :)

Hey,
Fifa 09 (xbox 360):
1) On ‘BE A PRO’ online, make the players actually go to the ball!
2) Sort out the refereeing, its a joke atm!
3) Make be a pro up to 7v7m maybe even 10v10.
4) Try and sort the servers out, they’re pathetic atm!
5) Have a fantasy mode. You have a set amount of money, choose a stadium, choose a chant e.g. You’ll never walk alone, glory glory man united, feed the scousers. Be able to choose kits, then choose players, e.g. you have 80mil to spend, you buy Giles Barnes for 2million, Ronaldo for 40mil. ect ect.

Theres plenty 1 could add to any fifa game.
1- Auto face configuring in player creation mode n making it via the eyecam or a usb image of real life face like in PES
2-Faster gameplay option n variety of camera options.
3-Change of commentators or more different 1ns in different games.
4-Maybe Kit creation as a luxurey
5-More interactive Manager interaction n Fan attendance in budgeting etc.
6-The 1 two passes in Fifa 08 ps3 xbox not as effective includin High Thru ball. Needs some attending too
Either way Fifa has made good progress throughout the years and im sure fifa 09 will exceed their high standards of soccergaming. Thanx Ea Team

in fifa 09 i would like 2 see the lower leagues in scotland as i am a greenock morton fan would also like parkhead ibrox tynecastle hampden and goodison BUT its the same every year just the big 4 in england that gets concentrated on man utd arsenal chelsea liverpool you need 2 start improving the game?

Make it more realistic, i mean some of the lower league players can’t do a fake shot… which is stupid coz any1 could do a fake shot. Also …. i think goal celebrations need to be improved, say if you scored in the last minute of a game against Man United, The player should run over to his fans and maybe get booked for his celebrations. PLEASE READ, And also diving SHOULD be added because its realistic. Shootin from long range should be improved aswell.

EVERY LEAGUE.

i think it should have:
