Alright, let’s see, where to begin. FIFA 08 has been great. Even if the AI is hard, it is very challenging so kudos on the AI, keep it the same.
First things first. PC should have the capability of Next Gen. You should market both for PC. Like if someone has a lower end systems, they’d get current gen and PC’s with like GeForce 8 series or something can get Next Gen. More money that way guys! Trust me!
Let’s go the first matter and that is players. The first business with that is celebrations. It’s so dull. When a player scores a goal. They stop for a second, turn to the side like a robot, raise their arm and run. Make it more natural; When they score, make them run immediately and do all that jazz. And please, add more celebration animations for
players.
Speaking of scoring goals, can you please make the commentator more exciting? Like he’s all: “and it’s a goal.” where’s the excitement? where is the enthusiasm? how bout: “AND GOAL!!!!!” Like loudly and with more excitement.
Commentators, there’s another thing. Clive is awesome, no doubt about that. But can you make it so he has MUCH more to say? and honestly, add more commentators. Like how bout Clive, Martin or Derek Rae? and maybe some foreign commentators? So at the beginning of the match it should have an option that says: Choose Commentator and you get to choose whoever you like. That would be MUCH better.
Let’s move on to Stadiums. First things first and that’s fix Old Trafford! Add the new sections in the corners! ffs! you missed it in FIFA 07 and FIFA 08 and that’s annoying. Make the stadium crowd more dynamic. Like Man U crowd wears red, Chelsea crowd wears blue, etc etc.
There’s another issue, the crowd. Hello? where are some of the good chants? You are my Solskjaer, That boy Ronaldo and for other teams as well. I understand that some chants have profanity in it, but honestly speaking, you can just mask that out or put another word in for it. That’d be better.
More stadiums! yes, back to stadiums. Hello? Philips Stadion for PSV? De Kuip for Feyenoord? Villa Park? You guys squeezed White Hart Lane in with fuss. C’mon, more stadiums! think of the money you’d make.
I really like the idea that you guys had the commentators say the players’ names more often now. Like: “that shot was blocked by Rio Ferdinand” or “that shot won’t get past van der Sar”; those were real good, but expand it to more players.
Also, have the commenators comment on more things as well. Honestly, you can script ANYTHING these days so why not script that? such as: “Manchester United have to win today if they have any chance of winning the league.” stuff like that would be real awesome.
Add flares! I know that might be a bad influence, but add flares to the game! Like maybe halfway through the game people like up flares. Not like throwing them, but just lightning them up and then shutting them off.
Give the idea of behind closed doors. Say you get like 5 yellow cards in a game or like 3 red cards in a game then you will be forced to play behind closed doors for the next game and thus, NO TICKET PRICES and you’d lose money. I think that would prompt people to not foul so much and make proper tackles instead of thinking: “OMG! IMA BE VIOLENT AND TACKLE EVERYONE USING AGGRESSIVE TACKLE AND GET AWAY WITH IT!”
Back to the crowd chants, add some provoking chants. Nothing harsh, but something sensible. Like in English football, when a team that’s been leading 1-0 for so long suddenly conceeds, the crowd of the team that just equalized starts chanting: “Who are ya? who are ya?” That’d be awesome to have.
Make injuries more realistic! players BARELY get injured. Look at United. They have like 3 players injured on long term! make injuries more realistic so that players get injured. Nothing harsh, but at least make the players a little more human like so they get injured and not like robotic super machines were a tackle that should’ve broken their leg barely even scratches them.
Make the AI more dynamic. Like if they’re losing 1-0 and it’s the 85th minute, make them switch formations to like 4-3-3 to add more attacking options and make their subtitutions real! I mean, say Arsenal. I was beating them 1-0 the other day and they brought on Rosicky for Eboue and Rosicky ended up playing in defense rather than attack so not much help there.

- Please, improve the stadiums on the XBOX 360 version. Add all the generic stadiums from PS2 and more real stadiums ( like City of Manchester Stadium!).
- More national teams like all ’06 World Cup teams, like Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Togo, Angola, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Costa Rica, Cote d’Ivoire, Estonia, Iceland, Colombia, Egypt, Chile, Peru etc.
- World Cup.
- More leagues; Argentine Primera Division, Romanian Liga 1, South African PSL etc.
- Bring back Create a Team for XBOX 360.
- Improved Be-A-Pro mode.

1)i play online a lot and one thing i’d really like would be to have a rematch option right after the match ends
it kinda sucks to have to go to the arena and then start all over.
2)i see that a lot of people are complaining about fifa not having all the leagues in the world.
i guess it’d be kinda nice but you also have to consider that most of the people who play online always pick a handful of teams and i’d say that 50% or more of the people out there playing
right now picked barcelona.
3)i do agree with all the people that want changes to the manager mode. i used to love to play manger mode
but after playing online i don’t want to do anything but online play, the reason? manager mode
is BORING. don’t get me wrong it is challenging (depending on the difficulty settings) but
its the same thing game after game after game. and beating the computer is not half as rewarding
as beating an opponent on line :D so my idea? add one more option to the “play or simulate match” how about
play match online?. now that’d be kinda cool. and if you lose why not give you the option to rematch?
oh ye and also you need to put in more stadiums because whenever you play one of the smaller teams its always at the same stadium, fifa 07 for example had at least 2-3 different stadiums for each smaller team in every league
fifa 08 is brilliant this year apart from the overalls for example Ronaldinho should never be a 90 and arsenal are so under rated it unreal so i think if you were to change anything in fifa 09 it would be the overalls
How about:
- Putting in the world famous & popular *FIFA 98 INDOOR MODE*….Really, why has this been an omission for so long?
- Bringing back the individual stadium introductions….Which can be then incorporated with the location, city/country…and even with the team history (if its a big game)
- Keeping the same interface, brilliant….But allow the user to import/delete songs from the soundtrack from the console’s (well, ps3 & xbox anyway) hard drive.
- Fixing the situation where keepers stay on their line & collect the ball at the last second even when the button for them to come out is held.
- Putting in a free-kcik system with more control
- Fixing throw-ins, they were a bit crap this year.
- Making more variety in the off-the-ball runs players (especially forwards) make when the button is pressed

Well it would be nice to have a bigger variety of boots and more players n the croatian league
first things first, i have fifa on the ps3 and for the first time ever i think it is better than its rival pro evo. well done ea, however i still think there is alot of room for improvement. firstly, when you’ve worked hard to get into a final you expect something different, something special yet its just like any other match. you need to make it special with fireworks, mascots, flags music etc like the world cup final. also you need a good trophy celebration at the end, like players being handed medals and lifting the trophy. this needs to be about 2 minutes long and although this may seem insignificant to people i believe that it will add to the authenticity of the fifa experience that EA prides itself on. please include this in 09. also, you need to make sure that all the final cup games are played at wembley not just the home teams ground. cum on ea this was lazy in 08. weather conditions need to be revamped as well. wats a game football without mud and rain. we need to choose from summer and winter, rain or no rain, snow or no snow and you need the pitches to wear and tear aswell. moreover, i think a big improvement this year is the diffulculty of the game which means a much more realistic game – got to keep this the same otherwise its like previous years. ps get villa park in the game. hope you take my ideas on board.
I would like to see Nery Castillo Landon Donavan and Alain Nkong in the front cover of the game for the americas
Make the people in the crowd more realistic, so some of the people do different things and not every1 doing the same. Make the refere part of the game more so that players can argue with him. When a player is hurt make people run on the pitch to treat them like in a real match, and stretcher them off if they are badly injured. Add realistic injuries such as broken legs and bangs to the head and there’s blood. Improve player graphics, ball graphics, crowd, and stadium graphics.
Winning eleven is more requeride for 1 think. IS MORE REAL…. fifa 09 —>more real…..
i would like to have more weather types on the arenas ond more arenas. It would be great if at least one official arena from each country that have a fotball league would be in the game
Maybe have some more Scottish stadiums aswell as lower Scottish leagues aswell.
I wish to have croatian league (HNL).
Strangely, Panathinaikos were left off the Rest of World section for FIFA 08 – whereas in 06 and 07 they’ve been there. Please include them again as they will probably win the Greek League this season anyway.
also, as ‘Kyle’ said, chill out the the cut scenes, if there is a foul, thow in, or ur team scores a goal, let if feel more natural to watch the celebration, even give the player a choice of what celebration to do, ie, celebrate with team mates, run up and into the crowd, take the glory solo style!! these would be cool, on be a pro and any other game style!
they should add the league from colombia and argentina and it would make alot of ppl happier
Fifa 09 should fully expand on ‘be a pro’ mode. create your player, go through some drills so scouts can judge you as a player and see what offers you get from clubs, Who knows you may be the next rooney, or torres playing premier league, and international football as a youngster, or you may have to build ur way up, or even, be happy being local legend!!
As far as your skill level, it should gorw according to the actual gamers skills. durin training u can improve on specific setions, the better u do time and time again on a skill makes it increase more so than only doing in once now and then..
Also controling the players life style, as in going out to clubs, golf course, charity fund etc etc.. basically having a social and family/partner element to keep ur player happy, because if ur partner is happy then u will be as well. even have it effect ur players mental skills. Virtua pro football is pretty cool with this, although the game play is AWFUL!!!
Also, have it as intervactive as possible, be able to interact with players and ur manager.. Have it showing ur the ‘respect of: Your club, The fans, The worls scene (ie, as in how the world or football sees you)
You should also be able to specify your favourite club, giving u a better chance to sign with them..
On the whole game play wise, would be cool to see refs and linesman.. Make the crowd even a bit more realistic.. Also, if you get picked in the squad.. as the players enter the pitch have it so you are looking from 1st person mode, so you can have a look around and get a feel for the atmosphere!! and if ur on the bench this would be a cool feature as well, really make u feel like u are there..
These are some basic ideas, be a pro mode has so much potencial, i hope they use it well in 09!

Make the tournaments of South America eg Copa America, Copa Libertadores
AND WE SHOULD HAVE SOME SORT OF SCOUTING SYSTEM DIFFERENT TO THE ONE WE HAVE. SO LIKE BEFORE YOU BUY YOU CAN GET PEOPLE TO GIVE REPORTS ON THEM.
Make the genetic people look a bit more realistic. It gets boring after a while when everyone looks fake.
Well I was a little bit disappointed with FIFA 08. I think these are some things they should do to make FIFA 09 good:
1. Make an Owner Mode.
2. Make a Superstar mode, where you make yourself as a player and make your way up from a crappy team to a world class team. If anyone has Madden 08 you can see how good it is.
3. Get rid of all that Be a Pro stuff, that is just crap!
4. In Manager Mode, they should let you create your own stadium for your team, or maybe upgrade it. It is annoying having the same home ground as lots of other teams.
5. Have custom Champions League jerseys, and you should be able to change your jersey and it’s sponsors every year.
6. Make an Argentinian League, a Greek league, the J-League and other popular leagues, not leagues some people never knew existed! eg Irish league.
7. In Manager Mode they should have events happening in the off season eg World Cup, Africa Nations Cup, Euro, Asian Cup, Americas Cup.
8. They should let you become the manager of a national team.
I know they probably won’t do any of those things, but there are some good ideas to improve it.
Yes, we need the Copa Mustang, since its been ranked 9th best league by IFFHS. Also add the refeeres, and Copa Libertadores, and Sudamericana!! More latin american leagues.. and thats all!
Yes, there is more. i know pretty pathetic. the dribbling sucks, you need to make it so that when you press a button he makes a move, not the stupid R3 or L3 sticks, there is not control to what he does, so many times you want to make one move and he does something completely wrong. Like I said, Make a SOCCER game. And also , make the crosses better, they suck , the ball either goes way out of bounds and over the goal, or it goes back to freakin midfield, make the crosses more accurate. and also, to go with the crosses, make it so that you can push a button, and the player does a scissors kick, or a diving header, the gamer should be able to control that, not the game.
Make a soccer game for once. FIFA 2008 is the worst one yet, it seems like every year you just make it worse and worse. You need to worry more about the soccer aspect of the game than all that other unimportant feature crap. Make a freakin soccer game for once. There is like a million times when youll go one on one with the goalie and miss the whole damn goal, and then theres instances where you can score from midfield, make it realistic. make the passing better, make the free-kicks better, the freekick system this year is ridiculous, the goalie can move around, there is no way to score a damn free-kick goal. I dont have time to play the damn game night and day to figure out how everything works. make it better. also, why are no players close to being 100. and why is wayne rooney the best player in 2008?? have you lost your minds. ribery is the same number as some really other crappy players. you need to get your facts straight, who is doing the research for you??? giving the best players like ronaldinho, ribery, messi, luca toni etc. the same numbers as some other crappy players. and shouldnt the best player be 100 overall. if the numbers go up to 100, then the best player should be 100, like ronaldo was in FIFA 98. FIFA 98, was way better than what youre putting out lately. like i said, its getting worse by the year. and who selects the songs that you put in??? theyre horrible, i go to options and turn them off so i dont have to listen to that crap, put in some songs that are related to soccer, i know its a crazy idea, but it just mite work. SOmehitng like “cup of their lives-ricky martin” and “samba de janeiro” those have something to do with soccer. something that would also be cool, is if you brought back the indoor soccer. put in one indoors stadium, and make sure the ball is an indoor ball.
PS: Hamit Altintop and Halil Altintop are identical twins, what about “identical twins” do you not understand. Make Hamit and Halil look the same. that is what identical twins are you know, they look alike, therefore the term “identical” twins. in the game they look completely different. hamit looks good, but halil looks nothing like himself, or hamit.. you guys need to make a better playing game, and stop worrying so much about all that other crap, when i buy a soccer game i but it for the playing, not some stupid speacial features you add. when FIFA 2009 comes out, im renting it, if it still sucks, im never buying a FIFA game again, ill just switch over to Winning Eleven, or Pro Evolution soccer, at least they still know how to make a soccer game.
PUT GHANA IN!!! WHAT MORE DO THEY HAVE TO DO…THEY HAVE SEVERAL PREMIERSHIP STARS…essien, muntari, etc…AND BEAT USA, CZECH REP in the world cup…and hosted the AFRICAN CUP…why not GHANA?
Make the league fixture lists more accurate. i.e. The festive period in England with fixtures on Boxing Day and New Years Day, the winter break in many countries, and stuff like that. Also maybe give the option to sim a day when there is not a game or use that day to put in bids for people and just go to the next day (like if you don’t have a game on a thursday or something, you should be able to use that day to make transfers.
Also you should get to watch or even play your training.
Sort the advantage rule out… its awful… rebounds off the goalie need to be more realisitc… barcalona need to be down graded…!! And have the Under 21 teams available..!! then this game would be unbetable..!!
There are three leagues you should add in fifa 09 and they are:
Angola Girabola
Croatia Premier League
Colombia Copa Mustang
Also add tournaments such as African Cup of Nations and the Copas Americas
i love the game its the best but you guys need to either have to games on both with the big teams but we need the south american leagues as well not just brasil and argentina. so maybe 2 different games ones with south american teams and other with european french poland leagues.
1st of all there should be a new font and layout for the manager mode
2nd be able to use your manager mode team online
3rd more build up and atmosphere before a big game
4th feel the advantage of being at home
5th players falling over ocassionally, bad ref decisions, cancled matches (due to fog or weather conditions) and official champions league kits
6th weather effects rain, slight fog and even snow in the winter
7th no exp points relistic player growth decided on the player, age and how he has performed
8th real ledgends included with the likes of george best, bobby charlton, maradona in the classic XI
last but not least gameplay is ok but could do with a little tweak for example imrpoved dribbling, skills easier to use with players like ronaldo, messi and ronaldinho, improved free kicks , more seasons of be a pro for example equal to the amount of seasons on manager mode, maybe even include things that happen in real football matches like shirt pulling and freak goalkeeper accidents (cech against aston villa)

1) Real-Time Halves: Please bring back the 45 minute half selection, 10 minutes is not long enough.
2) Real-Time Scheduling: A simple download so you can play actual up-to-the-minute league and cup schedules for you favorite team during manager mode.
3) Combine Be-a-Pro mode with Manager Mode: Bring cups, league tables, and season/career stats in to Be-a-Pro mode.
4) Cut-Scenes, Cut-Scenes, Cut-Scenes: An unbelieveable amount of cut scenes to make me feel like I am watching a game rather than playing.

I think that they should make players more easy the edit and add more football boots and also make more players faces real so players like in the spl and teams like sunderland and all that have proper faces and should be able to train in season’s before matches and should be able to pick one player including keepers in your season and should be able to buy cars and all that so its like you are a real pro so if you are not a godd footballer or havent mad a pro you would be able to live the dream
I can`t belive the argentinian ligue is not yet in the FIFA game!!!
Players like Maradona, Di Stefano, Redondo or Messi are better than the American ones.
South America have the same number of World`s Cup than Europe and in the FIFA 08 only apear the Brazilian one.
Teams like Boca Juniors (actually the 2º team in the world after Milan) won the Real Madrid of Zidane, and the Milan of Schevshencko.
Argentina is the country that have the biger quantity of internationals Cups: 169
And talking about the teams Argentina have: 58 internationals cups
Actually Argentina is in the top of the FIFA ranking, but you preffear the Australian league or the portuguese,the turkish, the irish, or the same ligue of Mexico and Unites States (Please excusme but is the truth)
I think you should add more customization for create mode like kit style and boots and different tape for the socks. Also more stadiums. A youth academy that actually produces good player this time. Make the transfers more exciting instead of jus putting a newspaper article up eg. picture of player holding up the shirt of the team he just signed for. Maybe a reserve team where you can add younger players so they can get better instead of sitting on the bench. Lastly get offers from other clubs to manage during the season.
Have videos of the best player like highlight of players like the world best Ronadinho,Kaka, C.Ronaldo, Robinho,Pato and Beckham.
think u shuld create ur stadium like if u dont like ur other stadium, u shuld build another 1, and choose da people 2 build it,
I’d like you guys to include a feature like in NBA Live games where you can bring up passing buttons for logical passing choices. Nothing is more frustrating than setting up a great series of passes to get in on goal only to have the last pass go to a completely illogical player. It also removes the terribly annoying aspect of having the ball carrier having to turn and face the guy who he wants to pass to, thus allowing the defense to tackle him easily. Heel passes and lay offs would work so much better and allow for a more realistic flow to the game. Please don’t make the passing directional again without somehow addressing this issue. Also, the through balls need to be addressed. Too often they go directly at a defender while the offensive player is blazing past him. Make the ball paths more logical, guys aren’t going to pass right at a defender, they would try to get around them. If that means making the pass longer or on a different angle, then do it. Make chasing down through balls and areal balls realistic, too often they just go right at defenders instead of into open spaces where an offensive guy could run them down. Passing was a huge reason I couldn’t play Fifa 08 longer than a few days before going back to Fifa 07 on regular XBox. At least in that game you could pass fluidly, even if the players couldn’t do all their little tricks.

i agree with most people add more leagues but also to add some more realism to the game like introducing all the stadiums not just the big teams so add stadiums like white hart lane or the riverside stadium etc a game called premier league stars (which was rubbish) was able to put all the stadiums on so im sure you can do it also no more trying to buy other kits because sometimes you need the 3rd strip especially when kits clash both home and away and add more weather effects such as rain thank you :) looking forward to it coming out
