no more of the Ea boots and gloves…they look pathetic
get proper brands like adidas , puma, nike etc
also able to edit players looks
players personal styles
able to design team kits after a season
scottish lower divisions
hampden
visible linesman and referees
at least 1 player from every team to look realistic
and an internatonal mode
otherwise keep up the good work

Every single team should have their own netting for their own stadium. Every player should have their own style of dribbling, shooting, crossing, set peices.Every team should have their own style of play, and different passes. No pass should ever be exactly the same. No shot should ever be exactly the same, everything shoud be different every time you play,it should be exactly how it is on tv.Flicks and tricks should be more eay to do,and you should be able to get out of tight angles e.g nut meg them.flick it past them.Players and keepers should have better reactions when you dribble past them.
Different commentators every game. And alot more variety in what the commentators say.
To be able to see the manager in the duggout and they should look exactly the same as they do on tv.There should be blunders and fights and riots.

I Think That Referees Should Get Some Decisions Wrong Because It Would Make It More Intresting.
New Music And Better Chants At Matches, Not Just From The Home Team.
Players Actually Get Injury More And Harder To Buy Players Because It Is Too Easy.
Visible Linesman And Referees.
Thank You, I Hope These Suggestions From Thousands Of Us Fifa Fans Get Taken Into Account

next-gen for pc
July 7th, 2008 at 6:53 pm
Fifa 08 was good, but i think one or two things need adding. I think you should be able to see the managers on the touchline from time to time. This was added in the uefa euro 2008 game on xbox 360 and i think it is a good feature. I also think one or two leagues should be replaced with other leagues. The Russian league, for example should be on instead of the norwegian league or the australian league. The Russian league actually has quality teams and players, Spartak Moscow, Roman Pavlyuchenko to name just one.
July 7th, 2008 at 6:40 pm
the game should feature either fernando torres david villa or adebayor, or maybe even a keeper like cassillas for a change. it would be good if there was a game mode for five aside where you could pick your best players and have a 5-aside tournament. more classics would be good aswell, for instance the classic england team of 66 or classic man u with bobby charlton and george best in the team. the online play would be better if there were more achievements online and if you could use your career team to play online cause you could use it in kick off on 07 or 06 cant rememba which 1 for ps2, so why not online. i am currently sydney fc so would like to use them online however i cant due to the fact that they are well basically rubbish and would get beat by some noob hu always uses barcelona or man u so would stand a chance and would be better if i could use my evenly matched career team as i have tevez and that and trained up the team to a 5 star. please consider these options, thanks.

My favorite FIFA was 07 and I think you should have more range of skills that are easier to access also with the free kicks I think you should have the small round circle like on FIFA 2004 which shows you even more where you will fire
July 7th, 2008 at 5:35 pm
I just read somthing about fifa 09, About be a pro mode.
Why make it only a four year carear, What football player has ever became the best in the world starting from scratch, In four years. Why not make it a 15 year carear just like manager mode. Like most fifa’s they leave out important things like realisticness!!!!
July 7th, 2008 at 5:27 pm
i think russia should be on fifa 09
July 7th, 2008 at 5:19 pm
if there was players life it would be good.like choose a player than do watever u like with him like talk to the manager play his role for the team transfer to other teams if he wants that will just be good if u could have a players life.
Or make a designers life like design stadiums for a team kits training grounds go around the world and design places and even play with teams that would be goood.
well its up to ea to decide but i hope i get mine in. A player life would be good
July 7th, 2008 at 3:58 pm
can you put fifa 09 in ps2
July 7th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
don’t forget to put worl cup and more international competitions, put 5or6mins motion when you win a competition or giving the for manager and player of the year. thanks
July 7th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
-Official stadiums
-build your own stadiums
-players are MUCH MORE UNIQUE in terms of skill
-different stadiums for different countries (british style, spanish/portuguese/italian style)
-custom team kits
-supporter chants for different clubs e.g. Celtic and liverpool from fifa 08
-Make goal keepers more realistic. (every keeper in fifa 08 was insanely amazing).
July 7th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
I Thing you should make the news paper more realistic, make manager creation central,I real want you to put some laegues from african and argentinian league and more league from south america snd don’t forget to put copa libertadors, put youth team in manager mode, put champions league at the firs season in manager notto wait untill the next season put normal champions league teams quilifyed in real world, make the next fifa 09 more like lma manager for your manager mode and like pro evoution soccer for creating and editing stuff. if you follow my ideas the fifa 09 will be the best this season in the planet. can’t wait to see this ideas on the game
July 7th, 2008 at 3:19 pm
- Visible referees and lines
- Get Licensing for Managers. It would add a bit more if you could see the managers barking orders from the dugout.
- More Stadiums.
- Better Commentary. Id like to see comments made more televison-like
- Easier Free-kick and Corner system than 08
- Release it a few weeks later so the full transfers will be up to date.
- Better youth system.
- In manager mode the players get tired far too quickly and it takes them weeks to recover. Also in real life teams do train about three times a week and they are fine for match day so how come their fatigue is in yellow if you do this?
July 7th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
1)dont put bulgarian league in
2) more premier league stadiums
3) foreign commentators when playing abroad
4) get rid off john motson!
5)delibarate fouling
6) deliberate diving
7) get players skin colours right
8) realistic transfers
9) more crowd songs
10)linesmans…referees and managers in game
11) players warming up on sidelines
12)players getting booed for bad performances
13) booed for bad perfomances
14) fights in the corwd
15) transfer specualtion un settles players
16) commentators do my head in
17) referees says ‘nothing doing’
18)
July 7th, 2008 at 2:40 pm
Goalkeepers should be able to be fouled like in old games, and a foul shouldn’t be an automatic red card….players are entitle to go for the ball.
a new stat called situaltional temperment should be included….basically an extension to aggression, a player commits a foul and depending on his temperment, when it cuts to the video he over-reacts or lashes out at the other player or ref, in turn earning him a yellow if he wasn’t going to be carded or a second yellow/straight red. Perfect example of this would be a striker fouling jens lehman….lehman’s known to over-react.
July 7th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Players who play internationally but feature for clubs who are not in the game, should still be put in the game data base. This is due to the fact that a lot of these players get transferred soon after the game comes out or during the january transfer window. They are of high pedigree and you’ve put them in the game, however we are currently unable to transfer them to their new teams because they don’t have clubs in the game.
Substitutions, once upon a time fifa showed a double sub, with both players coming off and both players coming on, fifa should get back to that…its really unrealistic to make a triple sub and you only see one player. Also player interactions on the sub. Furthermore if both teams are making a sub both sets of players should be shown, not just one team.
The idea of including boots in the fanshop so when you are editing or creating a player you can give them brand name boots, i also like the idea of making different colours of the same boot available. A lot of the time throughout a season players will change their boots a few times, if you have one colour for home and one colour for away it makes it seem more realistic.
Player Faces….i still find it unacceptable that there are numerous players in the game with proper faces but these players are lesser known players who play for not so major clubs. Yet players like eboue & sagna (arsenal), richards (man city), alex (chelsea) who play at big clubs still don’t have actual player faces.
Also, depending on the individual to buy the game, we may feel you have over-rated or underated a lot of players….and the maximum allowed edited players is currently 50 or something…..with a game that has thousands of players i think this number is too low. A lot of players get transferred but are previously unknown to developers and thus under rated, as such the realism of the leagues is lost cause only the good teams have good players. The number of players one can edit should at least be 5% of the players in the game database. If theirs 5000 players, we should be able to edit 250 players. Or at least increase the 50 to 150 if you don’t want to work on percentages.
International Teams, African teams like Ghana and Ivory Coast who are at present the best teams from Africa and had really good showings at the world cup are still not in the game…this is unacceptable. Also please get the license for Holland.
I like the idea of including old kits in the fan shop….this is much more appealing then the 100 different coloured balls we get offered…we like to see old kits.
A kit editor would also be nice but i don’t see that happening as you need licensing to get the kits and you’re not gonna let us change them at a whim.
visible ref a must.
fans in their own colours….more fans in home colour at home games…
in regards to youth players…a lot of the major clubs like man utd chelsea arsenal liverpool have 3 or 4 young players who will soon be playing first team football…players like sahar and sinclair who are being loaned to other premiership clubs for the upcoming season…at least 3 promising youth team players should be included in the game for each top side…that way when you playing manager mode, a few seasons on you’ll have the players who will actually make the step up to first team football in real life.
the odd offside goal should be allowe to stand….thats the nature of the game…so perhaps linesman should be included in the game, and based on their positioning when the offside occurs they make the correct or incorrect decision.
more lee-way with the editing of players….developers don’t always get it right….some players who are white should be black and vice versa….this is easy enough to correct on players who don’t have the real faces, and players with the real faces obviously won’t be the wrong race. Also, players who were bulky like ashley young (aston villa) in 08 who are skinng in real life….we should be able to change a player from skinny to normal or bulky and vice versa.
Starts of all games should be like the international games minus the anthems. In real life the players line-up and then shake hands with the opposition….this should be shown.
Also, the sun should become a factor, so instead of having the home playing left to right in the first half as a standard, their should be a coin toss like in real life. So players can pick to put their goalkeeper in the less sunny side for a half, and the keeper who faces the sun should have his attributes decreased by a value of say 3 due to the interfering sun.
July 7th, 2008 at 2:07 pm
1) Visible Referees and linesmen
2) Different commentators for each type of game e.g martin tyler for the league and clive tyldsley for champs league
3) Kit editor
4) More Injuries
5) Visible managers
6) TV style highlights of each game at the end of the matchday (Saturday night MOTD style)
July 7th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
got to be easier to do more elaborate tricks.
also when scouting you should be able to look through under21 teams and reserves and also more stats should be available to see such as amount of goals scored, or assists for the previous few seasons, if not that, just an easily understandable rating scale from 1-20 on each part of play i.e. passing, tackling etc.
July 7th, 2008 at 2:02 pm
Considering Russia, Greece, and Ukraine all have teams in the champions league, i think you should add their leagues.
July 7th, 2008 at 1:38 pm
hi you should be able to be the ref
July 7th, 2008 at 1:38 pm
If you include a legends team in the game you have to include Alan Shearer!!!!! He is the best English player of the last decade and a half and an absolute goal scoring machine!!!!!
Also manager mode is way to easy. It shouldn’t be possible to buy a free agent and then sell him for an astronomical sum a short time later!
Also why do other teams not make any transfers they just seam to loose all their players and fade away.
Finnally, in online play, if the other team quits (while their behind only) I think the game should be treated as if it had gone the whole 90.
July 7th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
in the manager mode i think you should be able to take a training session and set your own plan out on a seperate screen, then the players fufill this plan without u having to watch and after it loads it shows te end results of whos improved and whos dropped in form, there for you can pick players you never would have on form basis and this then plays a part in your season, better training and better man managment and your team will be a greater one.
another of my ideas was a indoor ground for the arena part of the game :) changing it to indoor will be much more fun.
July 7th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
International matches need much more consideration in manager mode, for example not having your players taken away for a friendly right before a cup final, and equally, durng manager mode it should be possible to become manager of an international side once you reach a certain level.
The need for kits to be updated during a manager mode would also brighten things up, even if you were to have to do it manually, also why not do transfers right up until the end of the transfer period until waiting until just before the end of the transfer period, often meaning some key signings are not made on the actual game when you get it.
Better commentary, faster gameplay and in game referees would all make for improved game play, also the (re?)introduction of diving in the game just to add a slightly different element into the game. The inclusion of random but relevant events in the game could als make it more interesting, for example, takeovers, players handing in transfer requests, even tapping up maybe?
The improvement of the trick stick would make for more interesting gameplay allowing for better looking attacking moves, also the chance for one off wonder/lucky goals could also be an exciting element, possibly with an unknown player scoring a last minute lucky strike to knock out a major team adding an extra element of excitement?
More relevance to clubs such as fan chants, stadiums, player bias, etc.
More leagues included would also be the usual change, ie with the emergance of Russia as a future footballing super power, as well as the inclusion of alot more international teams, as the vast majority of the international choice is limited to European clubs, with continents like Africa almost completely over looked.
Also in manager mode get given a transfer budget each season relevant to how well the team has performed instead of just having to survive off player saves and the miniscule amount of money made throughout the season.
July 7th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
Youth teams, more realistic managerial experience.
July 7th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
definitely better way of doing transfers. need to be able to talk to the players or agent as well as the club and the process should not be as simple as yes/no.
GET HOLLAND!
More stadiums are needed, how can you have a game without the bernabau!?
It would also be a nice touch to play little 1 on 1 matches in the loading screen, or have an option where you can play 5-a-side or futsal.
Something which is a definite MUST for improvement is the amount and quality of the updates that are available online. I would like to see updates every month, which also include injured players for the online mode to make it more realistic when playing a match.
GET RID OF giving a free kick away when you tackle a player well but the referee gives a foul, it is so unbelievably irritating when you make a good hard tackle in the box but they get given a penalty because the player is injured!
Better reaction from the keeper when pressing keeper charge. the GKs seem to lack realistic common sense.
July 7th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
If my idea gets some importance, I would say that we want to have option for playing both manual through ball and classical through ball at the same time.
July 7th, 2008 at 12:50 pm
Pleaseee put BE A PRO MODE on WII VERSION!!! its nooo freaking fair that that modee doensnt appear in FIFA09 THANKS for the MANAGER MODE but I think the BE A PRO should be in EVERY PLATFORM!!! im just sick of making differences and dont come with bull shit like “ooh XBOX 360 and PS3 aremore powerful” CUZ PSP VERSION WILL HAVEE THAT MODEE AND I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT PSP ISMORA CAPABLE THAN NINTENDO WII!!!!
July 7th, 2008 at 12:45 pm
please make iran League in FIFA 09
July 7th, 2008 at 12:44 pm
Be a Pro & Captain your country combined.
Captain your club 4 players play to captain the club through multiple seasons where you can also buy and sell players while your captain.
July 7th, 2008 at 12:36 pm
Anyone else think it would be better if the ball boys were to get the ball and there was no black loading sreen for throw ins. And the players acc got the ball for free kicks, same with goal keepers for goal kicks and so on. There should also be VISBLE referees and linesmen, with no loading screens giving red and yellow cards.
July 7th, 2008 at 12:24 pm
Hi EA,
In FIFA09 could we have a ‘uniform editor’ in manager mode please, that is a similar option to the one on the franchise mode in madden 05. This option allows you to change not only your teams kit, but other kits in the league. It would be less boring if there was an option to change the style, make and sponsor of yor kit.
Also one thing I like on the madden games in franchise mode is the option to listen to talk radio programmes to see what the fans think of your team and to see local and national newspaper headlines after each game. This would be a great addition to FIFA09. Maybe even including a post-match highlights show that enables you to see all the day’s action.
And one more thing that is more of a gripe; On FIFA 08 on the ps3, there are very few camera angles to choose from! Would it be possible to incude more camera angles for FIFA 09, including a broadcast cam that is the same as a broadcast view on TV. Could you also bring the broadcast view back that is on the ps2 version of FIFA 08 please. It would also be good if you could inroduce a custom camera angle that enables you to change the height, zoom and pan of the camera.
Many thanks!
July 7th, 2008 at 12:21 pm
if u do a mager mode with a league 2 team u should start with 30 million and if u start 1 with manchester united u sahold start with less money exemple herefored 30 million. and machester united should start with 500k
July 7th, 2008 at 12:17 pm
if u win the eircom league of irelan u should be able to go to the chapions league and all of the cups and u should be able to go to the premier league if you win the chapions league 3 times
July 7th, 2008 at 12:14 pm
the keepers should be beteer and freekicks should be easier on playstaion 3 they are really hard to score for u and for the other team they are much easeir and the keepers can cume up for corners. and you can score from ur own half
July 7th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
I would like to see more realistic player transfer fees and smarter players ie. David Beckham dosent move to a 3rd division club just because they can afford him. More stadiums such as the ‘Home Depot Centre’ in L.A and all EPL stadiums. More pro leagues including the Ukrainian and Russian leagues. Most of all a more in depth manager mode with improved transfers, injuries (more realistic, freaquant, players can be injured in training) and squad training (players improve in ability as they do specific trainings). Rights to the Dutch team. The gameplay should be more like euro 2008 but with easier chance of long shot goals. Players should play as they would in real life ie. Ronaldo uses tricks more often, Beckham does long passes and Gerrard takes long shots. Players should be far more inteligant about how they play their game. Finaly, Be a Pro should be almost exacly like ‘Madden’ NFL’s superstar mode, that would be the best thing since sliced bread.
July 7th, 2008 at 12:00 pm
u should be able to bet on a match like example the chapuions league final real mnachester united and chelsea if you but on 13 million on manchester united to win and they do win you should triple it and if they dont win that 13 million is gone out of your buget in manger mode but just stick it on playstation 3
July 7th, 2008 at 11:59 am
I would like to see:
1. Visible referees and linesmen
2. Unlimited edit players
3. NEW Legends in the Classic XI. Why no English or British.?I was really hoping George Best would be on the game after he died. I would like to see the likes of Bobby Moore, Gordon Banks, Bobby Charlton, Gary Linekar, Johan Cruyff, Maradona and Pele.
4. More money in Manager mode for premiership clubs. When Teams go up they get £40m+ so how come only a few million is available to be spent? This also applies to many teams,
5. In fifa 08 why was it so hard to beat the keeper? I think the keepers saved about 6/10 of one on ones I had even if the keeper difficulty was on easy.
6. Edit players appearences. I remember having a manager mode career with Hull City and one of the players was white on the game but Black in real life.
7. More money bonuses at the end of each year. For example I won the champions League and got very little, whereas in real life don’t you win about £40million?
8. Fans in the stadium wearing their teams colours.
9. Get Licensing for Managers. It would add a bit more if you could see the managers barking orders from the dugout.
10. More Stadiums.
11. Better Commentary. Id like to see comments made more televison-like
12. Easier Free-kick and Corner system than 08
13. Release it a few weeks later so the full transfers will be up to date.
14. Better youth system.
15. In manager mode the players get tired far too quickly and it takes them weeks to recover. Also in real life teams do train about three times a week and they are fine for match day so how come their fatigue is in yellow if you do this?
July 7th, 2008 at 11:55 am
the game was good but its just the small things that bugged me like:
1 when you get a yellow card the ref should run up to you and show it not just appear out of no where.
2 more stadiums, kit editor at then end of the season
3 transfers are way to easy and classic players should be avalible
July 7th, 2008 at 11:49 am
For The FIFA 09 Video Game I would like to see the Champion’s League Tournament and The Copa Libertadores c’mon man i get bord juss playin MLS teams or Brazilian teams and only having Boca and River does not cut it. Where Is the chilean shampion Colo Colo? Where is Estudiantes La Plata? Where is Dep. Cucuta? Where Is Caracas F.C.? Man i would rather have the Argentinian league any day than the MLS. Yall need to get off the MLS nuts on the reel…lol
July 7th, 2008 at 11:45 am
it shud hav reserve sides
easy trick control in pc
more sponsors instead of maty, etc we shud hav like fly emirates, aig, samsung, etc
we shud be able to manage international sides in manager mode and shud hav tournaments
like world cup nd euros
more interaction wid the players nd more questions frm the media
building ur own stadium
we can buy players frm rival club at least considering our offers
no limitation in biding system
training mode in manager mode
July 7th, 2008 at 11:43 am
You should be able to make the stadiums and make more players realistic… also when you get promoted from the coca cola championship you should get the real amount of money you should be able to make your own shirts for your team as there is never the same shirt every season. Also something i would like to see is real life chants such as West hams Blowing bubble and hull citys We are hull and sheff uniteds greasy chip butty
July 7th, 2008 at 11:35 am
Good game just needs some cosmetic enhancements: winning cups should have cut-scenes, open top bus, interviews with players and fans etc. The presentation of the game could be set up as a TV station with people in the studio predicting tactics for the match and identifying players etc. How about being able to play a league against friends over the internet, not random people but people that you contact and set up. I preferred the corners and free-kick system from 2004 with the picture of the ball and where you kick it. Otherwise keep up the good work!
July 7th, 2008 at 11:34 am
managers getting sent to the stands
July 7th, 2008 at 11:29 am
i would like to see the referres and the linesman get decisions wrong sometimes to make it more realistic
July 7th, 2008 at 11:27 am
I think a new career mode should be available much like fifa street where you create your own character - he then moves from sunday league/playground kick abouts - through the leagues and up to the international stage…Manager mode is good, but Player Career mode would be imense!
July 7th, 2008 at 11:12 am
Fifa 08′ was great but I would change a couple a couple of things…
1) Allow adjustment of the cameras (ie: zoom, angle and height) In 08′ and Euro 08′ only a couple of the cameras were useable. I think everyone has their favourite setup. This feature would be awsome!
2) Introduce some deliberate fouls like a push an elbow or a shirt pull.
July 7th, 2008 at 11:11 am
i would like to see a more realistic injury system. this may sound odd but i find that players rarely get injured. while this is good because you almost always get to play your best team it is not realistic. how about players getting injured in training and during matches more often. I would also like to see a larger scouting system. for example how about allowing you to send out multiple scouts. last of all the idea of being able to design your own kit would be really cool. oh yeah the transfer system in manager mode could be made a bit harder. it is too easy to buy players like ronaldo and messi from clubs like manchester united and barcalona.
July 7th, 2008 at 11:03 am
Add Bulgarian Premier League in so I can be my favourite team Levski Sofia.
