I think 09 should have Ronaldinho, in a chelsea shirt soon and rooney still on the front cover. And i also think you should manage internationals in career mode. also more skills, you can never get enough of the skills.

they should mix the sims with fifa in a kind of real life as you get older to the end of your Career and do a 12 - 15 version and just a normal version for little kids.
you can drive to training go to the bar and do all of that stuff.

i think that you should be able to have a headset and send out speciific instructions. They should also try to make every thing even more realistic.

i think the international career should also be included. plus where is the ref in the actual game?
alsoi think a reaction close up from the managers would be very cool, e.g when a missed chnace or a foul happens.
plus i also think when a trophy is one they should make more of a realistic celebration, like lap of honour with the trophy or larking about with champagne.
plus i like the stadium idea. plus more interaction with your youth set up.

firstly I’d like to congratualte you on finally making a better all round game than Konami. It’s fluent, the shooting is brilliant and overall the whole atmosphere is great.
There are a few flaws, sluggish passing and reactions, goalkeeper errors (the keepers are improved though this year, they look alot more spectacular during saves) etc. but these are cancelled out by all the new additions. Apart from one.
The right stick player switching is just too confusing to use whilst making your player run in a certain dierction. I don’t use this feature. The skills are good but you can’t operate the quickly enough during a match. I think you should save them for fifa street 3.
Ideas.
Let us download club anthems or songs from the marketplace, to be played after a goal is scored or when the teams come out on the pitch. in addition to this you could make a chant creator - i’m not sure if this would work but you could make something where you put it some words and the game generates something roughly like what you typed in. Then you can elect this chant to a certain team.
Take Rooney and ronaldinho off the covers - theyre great players but this is the third year in a row and it’s becoming rather tiring.
and please make more effort on the championship stadiums - how many teams actually play in a stadium with ‘1823′ on the roof, and terraces? Not many. It would be sort of easy to create a generic stadium for most championship clubs.

Tm really angry because you didn’t include the Argentinian League in FIFA 08. Here in Argentina there are lots of forums saying that FIFA in general is rubbish because of that. I think that is time you to include the Argentinian 1rst and 2nds divitions, IF NOT YOU WOULD LOOSE LOST OF FOLLOOWERS THAT WOULD FINALLY CHOOSE WINNING ELEVE OF KONAMI, THAT HAS THE ARGENTINIAN LEAGUE.

I cant believe fifa did this crap again, every year we get our hopes up hoiping to get a good game, I downloaded the ps3 demo and let me tell NOT IMPRESSED, the game physics are horrible, the graphics are good, the players look like monsters nothing like real, the change player buttin sucks it does whatever is eants to, the autochange player thing is worse it changes to closest ball cariirer, you no know what I AM SO OVER EA FIFA , I hope next time they develop the game in a country where they actually play the damn game, I hope next years madden09 is produced in Chile or Zimbabwe, thanks again ea for another let down.

I think next generation graphics on the pc should be included in FIFA 09. On the PS2 i don’t think it would be possible as the power of the PS2 isn’t great enough (Well i don’t think it is).

The creation mode should be revamped and made more like the PES creation zone where you can edit players, teams, boots etc.

More modes would be appreciated like as others have mentioned a Champions League Mode & International Management. The idea of the players life would be really cool but i highly doubt it wil ever happen although leading Rooneys life and going to brothels would be fun.

Stadiums should be improved, like championships stadiums. The KC Stadium is one of the best stadiums in the Championship and even hosts the England 21’s so it must be good!

On the XBOX 360 extra downloadable content should be available. Kits, boots, teams, stadiums, songs and creation mode items would be cool to download and enchace the game further.

And finally, the squad updates on the 360 should not require a gold account! and they should be downloadable through the marketplace and not through the game

Could you do FIFA 5s? I think it would be cool to play 5 a-side on FIFA 09.
Also Manager Mode for Champions League and World Cup. More in-depth control over transfers and contracts. Free-kicks should be like FIFA O5 and I want to be able to train my players using different drills. You should make more Classic and World Teams. Videos, short clips, e.g. ranting managers, cheering fans, fights, celebrations. I hated the Youth team thing in FIFA 07, you should be able to watch them play and control the reserves. Also more realistic gameplay, e.g. fouls, keepers, headers from corners. Put the ref on the pitch. And take Ronnie and Rooney off the cover, their great players an’ all but they’re getting boring. Changing transfer budgets for teams and better players on offer in the market. In-depth manager mode including, newspaper rumours, backroom staff, chairmen, and takeovers. CPU controlled clubs in manager mode more adventourous in the transfer market, experiecing problems (bankruptcy and stuff)
I know its a lot to ask but I love all the FIFA series and want to make 09 the best ever!!!

You should be able to access lower league teams in the interactive leagues eg. Doncaster Rovers

evaluation from your coach each season, that is your level.Age can’t be over 18 in Be a Pro Youth Player.You can also put your favorite player (optional).When become a pro things like your pay check and sponsorship come in.Sport Comanies like Nike and Adidas will be after you, they will increase your pay check.As you become the next superstar the media will hunt you down and you’ll have to deal with them. You might have a falling out with manager and he leaves or you do.The fans could invent chants about you!You can go from Youth Academy player to Reserve player to the starting 11 of the Senior Squad! fifa over the years has went in second place to pro ev, what fifa needs to do is look at pro evs ideas such as the style of play the tactics and some ideas of the graphics etc, this in my o[pinion is the only way fifa will be the top football game, when i play on fifa the play is either to easy are to hard, example when i play on ameuter i can litterly walk through the defense and score but when i place it on proffesional the players become machines and the keepers ending up saving some impossible shots etc whilst pro ev evens the play out a bit. so i would say fifa needs to take there ideas example creating own boots, creating own strips with logos and badges on etc and take there tactical ways and game of play this is the only thing fifa needs to do to change into the worlds best football game once more

-I think that you should be able to change the appearance of player, well mainly their hair. For example, Wes Brown has still got hair like rio ferdinand used to. But he is now bald. And for some reason Chris Eagles has a mullet…?

I think that in Fifa 09, when you are on the ‘Fifa Pro Mode’, you should be able to view your player as if you were him. You shouldn’t see the player you are, there should be an eye-view where you can see what is going on around you and who you past to, as if you are actually playing in the match. If that do this, you should be the keeper and controll where he dives and jumps for the ball etc. Also, you should be able to design and create your own football stadium like a few other football games such as Pro Evolution. Also, the kit designs of your own football team should be better, with you being able to have kits like Nike, Adidas, Umbro etc, and with these kits you ashould be able to have any sponser you want, copied from any other team on the game. Also being able to design your own boots for your player will be good as well. And since this is an english game sold in this country, you should be able to get every single Premier League stadium, including small stadiums such as Craven Cottage, Goddisan Park and Upton Park. Add Argentinian League and Romanian League, as well as teams featured in UEFA Champions League 2006/07’s Rest of Europe. Add Champions League, UEFA Cup, and Intertoto Cup to tournaments. Ok, I know it’s not as easy as just ‘putting them in the game’ but if you can do any of these for the next fifa (09), it would be brilliant I think; Be allowed to manage an international team during manager mode, more different types of shots and passes, be able to re-create your own image (perhaps through an eye-toy rather than trying to create an image which takes ages currently, have champions league and world cups competitions on ‘tournament’ in game modes, make the commentators have a wider variety of comments, at the end of a season have awards like world player of the year/golden boot etc, well these are just thoughts but in the coming years these features might be able to be added on? anyway, thanks

hi i have just bought fifa 08 on ps3 and i think its great but the champion ship stadiums are poor on fifa 07 they were mostley different but now most of the teams are the same on fifa 09 make it so you can build a stadium like you can on LMA
and forget the fan shop your team should have there theird kit without unlocking it same with theire boots and you really need to pay more attention to the kits on ipswich you put kit numbers on front and back and their away kit has the old away kits shorts and socks but other than that its a great game i look forward to 09!!!!

forget all the cosmetic and team changes, all the gimmicks and get the gameplay right, the game feels much too slow based on the 360 version, it’s nigh on impossible to play good football, every player feels the same to control (bar Henry, Ronaldinho and Rooney) and shots are so hit and miss.

This is not a critiscism of what i thought was a ver good game so far it is just a few suggestions of some things that could improve the quality of the game im my view:

* add ibrox stadium please
* add rangers third kit as they are usually good kits but seem to be forgotten
* add the league cup in scotland and possibly a scottish second division
*add the northern irish football league- it is at least as good as the eircom and better than some of the leagues in the game
*include real brilliant players such as george best to the classic 11 as he was the best player in the world
*dont have players in international teams and not available in club ode. i.e jonny evans

…FIFA 09 would be excellent if more non-European leagues were focussed. I remember everyone begging for the following national leagues:

- argentina
- chile
- iranian
- russian (I know, they’re UEFA)
- J-League
- China Superleague

…i notice a few people asking here for places like Malaysia, Thai league etc. also.

It would be fantastic if Asia got more focus, also South America and Africa - it would bring more of a challenge to take your club to the Club World Cup and win.

…might be fun to include an O-League team or two, as well, such as Waitakare Utd or Auckland Utd (both NZ), or maybe Ba (Fiji) see how they do in the CWC ;)

Also, thank you for including Holland national team - an excellent and long overdue inclusion. Also, New Zealand there as well - great idea, looking forward to thrashing them with Australia! :)

However, there are some really wonderful national teams missing, in my humble - Japan, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq in particular. These would be wonderful inclusions to the game, and make it a real reflection of international football as it stands right now. Perhaps even the inclusion of some of the Asian Cup’s surprise packets, like Thailand or Vietnam, would be great to see them in the game also.

Anyway, congratulations EA, again a great improvement on last year, look forward to the next edition (by playing ‘08 to death of course ;)

Make it possible to play a career on ‘Be a Pro’, this feature is so great but it would be even greater if you could play a career on ‘Be a Pro’. Being able to make your own stadium would be pretty sweet too. Be able to manage international teams would also be nice and maybe put in a little bit more effort in customising the faces of players, especially those in the smaller leagues who seem to be a completly different person.

i think u should be able to make ur own player with real boots (like Top Spin 2 being able to choose ur own brands). please consider this as this will make the game better

When you score, you should be able to show the fans more clearer. Like have them jumping and waving scarfs and stuff. The boots on Fifa 08 to whilst creating a player should be made more realistic and as Mo said (No.83) … to be able to upload or take a picture of yourself to make your own created player that more lifelike. Player interviews after transfers etc … end of season awards (player of the season, golden boot, fair play award etc.) Show managers reactions during in game like a previous Champion’s League game i remember. Whilst taking a penalty, showing the ref moving players back ensuring they are out of the area. Overall just more fine detail is needed to make the already best football game in the world even better.

After 8 years im starting to get impatient…..Where is russian premier league? Can you please add it to the game? Or at least some of its top clubs…..

fifa o8 is great but on be a pro mode i think insted of it bein just one match you should make a Career mode on it also i think it should be more intractive/realstic for eg. earn money as a player and buy houses and cars and be able to walk around from the training field to the actual buliding that would be awsome!!!!! thanks and gooood work

After playing for a while (even in World Class difficulty) it’s getting very easy to score. And you control the ball all the time - it’s boring.

I think you should be able to play a season as be-a-pro so they can have interviews after a match on how they perform, being linked with moves away from the club their or being picked for their national squad. This can also lead to playing in international matches with that player. I think the morale will go up or down depending on the news story. I also think that the russian and argentinian leagues on the game. I think their should be more stadiums as well. Proper chants and refs on the pitch. also feeder clubs so the manager can loan its youth players to other clubs which they have links with and they can improve with the more experience they get.
I know this is a bit much but if some of this can be implemented it would be great.

make more teams and let us choose the captains for each match. Also add the third and fourth kit if the team has one. also let us chhose the league or cup badge for each match. Let us choose to make the match a final, semi final etc… If it is a final put the trophy in front of the players tunnel and let us choose which person to commentater the match and let us choose how many commentaters. Also let us choose which balls to use and which refferie in the match, also when we make a subtistusion make the 4th official to lift up the number plate.!!!!!

If EA does decide to make another game on the PS2 please put more effort into it. Why does EA sports give Madden NFL and NBA preferrential treatment over all of the other sports games such as Fifa and Rugby.
The be a pro mode on Fifa 07 is not even as good as Pro Evo from several years ago, and then why not make it similar to the NBA and NFL versions were you can get agents, haircuts and training just to name a few of the better features available. As far as I’m concerned they have produced a fairly adequate piece of gameplay with very little difference from Fifa 07.
My advice for the future would be a better, more advanced pro mode like on NFL along with more tricks and maybe even skil drills ( like NFL ).
If you are going to make a new Fifa for the PS2 add some more life to it and make it enjoyable with amazing tricks and skills/ better shooting and add some retired legends just to make it fun again.

i think that be a pro should be a main feature. u should have the player training during the week improving on his skill and techinique. i also think u should have more stadiums and better tournaments. as well as having a the academy team and creating a player to join an academy for a chosen squad

IN manager mode you should be able to work ur way up to coach a national team and play national games for the country u are from.. when there is a country game

im really satisfied with the way FIFA08 turned out but when i played my first game with real madrid i almost choked! I think that to make fifa that little bit more special then the commentary has to stop being repeated. also on career mode i think that the World Cup and the European Championships and the African Cup of Nations and the Copa America should all be included to give that little bit more realistic quality. Also for the stadiums the Irsh stadiums like Lansdown Road and Croke Park should be included so too with the stadiums of the Eircom League of Ireland teams. The referee should be seen in the matches and in seson mode the kits should be changed every year or two years. The chance to manage international teams should also be apart of the career mode and the chance to invest in the club should be looked at with possible investors bidding for the club through the year. Giving players trials before buying them would also be great to see as it would give the manager a chance to see their qualities. Traing schedules and traing facilities should also be improved. In the game itself when winning the league the Champions league (as it should be called and not the E.F.A. Cup) or any of the domestic trophies you should be able to see the players and management staff going up to receive their medals and then celebrating in the middle of the pitch afterwards. another cool thing to do would be to play reserve matches aswell in the career mode and bring up the players from the youth teams and reserves on to the 1st team. Also scouting should be improved to include more countries. The chance to develop a player plaing amateur football to getting a contract with a professional team would also be a welcome addition so too would be the turf on the pitch getting cut up on dry days and muddy on wet days. I would love to see some of these ideas come through on fifa 09 and it would be great if they did so please do it for fifa09.

1.I Think you should always add linesman and The Ref Visible at all times and they should have a bunch of animations and react realistic in situations.
2.The Teams we verse should be updated E.G the defence shouldn’t open up to easily it should be really challenging.

In Manager mode, the manager should be given the option to manage national teams as well during his career i.e. 15 yrs.
If the manager is still doing good job at the end of 15th year then there should be an option to extend his contract.

I would like to see the following improvements or new innovations in the upcoming series if FIFA games:-

1) As already suggested by someone, players or managers should be interviewed at the start or end of an important match. For example, in a tournament or manager mode, before the final or a derby match

2)The substituitions should be made more clearer with the 4th official showing the substitution board and the players shaking hands while going on or off the pitch

3)more serious injuries should be shown, like blood, broken leges, players being carried off on stretchers

4)More game modes should be introduced like futsal, etc.

5)The manager mode should be made more interesting with new ideas with more and important decisions to be made are to be decided by the user.

6) New types of goal celebration videos should be introduced and not the boring ones where the same player or other players keep doing the same type of celebration.

7)Players Faces should be made more realistic and they shouldn’t be so shiny or sparkling as if they have put oil on their faces.

8)REAL Referee, linesmen and the fourth official should be shown during a match. This was missing in the 07 edition of XBOX 360

9)The AI(computer user) should be made more intelligent so that it is hard to play against them

10) One last and important thing I would like to suggest, THERE SHOULD BE PROPER TROPHY PRESENTATION CEREMONY with Fifa, Fa or UEFA presidents or any other chief persons handling out the medals to the players and officials and coaches. Then the trophy should be presented properly to the captain. They should celebrate with the crowd as well throwing beer, champaigne, etc. taking off their jerseys and throwing in the crowd, etc.

I feel if these improvements are made in the upcoming EA FIFA games, users will definitely enjoy the game much much more and they might even stop watching real football and keep playing these games which will look as real as actual LIVE football games

Being able to create your own teams and/or modify the current strips during manager mode would be nice, there hasn’t been anything like that for a while. Also, having to juggle international fixtures, with either a teams players not being available or managing the international team as well as the club in the manager mode, moving between clubs and international jobs would be interesting too.
With creating a player, there isn’t a lot of scope to create another young superstar… the attributes are a bit limited, even if you use the fan shop to buy the extra experience. Why only be able to create someone who can’t compete as well as the players already there… If your going to keep the created players starting off being, well, Joe Blow from Crapville United, what’s the point? Maybe try skill-based mini games like in Madden 07 to get the attributes of created players, combined with their heigh, weight and body type as factors, created players could be as realistic and individual as the real players represented in thegame. The technology is there, why not use it?

I got a bit disappointed when first starting the FIFA 08. First of all, my team is always Liverpool. Therefore I was pretty glad to see Finnan had a “normal” face. I was also glad to see the players actually were good. On the last year FIFA the Liverpool-players was pretty bad in opposition to e.g. the Man United-players. Though I’m still a bit sad when looking at Sissoko’s bad 78 rating and Crouch’s 75 rating. Even Adebayor only got 78. Are these players that bad? I wonder, especially when looking at Sinama Pongolle in Recreativo wich got a whooping 83.

Done with that, there’s still things wich needs to be done. I’m still missing colorful audience. If your team has green shirts, and the other team got yellow, I’m sure 95% of the audience will use white and grey shirts. I’m happy with the crowd singing, even on the away field, but I’m still not confident with the atmosphere when scoring a goal. I want to be happy when scoring a goal, but when the crowd just claps their hands for me, I don’t think it is really motivating.

It is something that really bothers me. That’s what the players look like. Some of the players doesn’t look like anything I know. I may understand the players in other divisions (e.g. the norwegian or the swiss) don’t look really realistic, but the players in the top teams SHOULD look like they do in real life. I’m happy with a lot of them, but players like Sissoko, Babel, Leto (the ugliest face I have ever seen in FIFA), Arbeloa, Bianchi, Richards, Kaboul and Sunny. These are mostly Liverpool-players though, but I’m sure there is more out there. I’m also a bit unhappy with the use of previously faces. Players like Luis Garcia and Harry Kewell got the same face as they had in 2006 (maybe even 2005). They need to get changed too. Garcia doesn’t even have long hair anymore.
And WHY do you not update the game after the transfer window is closed? A lot of players get transfered after the 25th. A bit half-hearted work.
And Puerta isn’t a football player anymore.

Some players is free agents, and many they are often not included in the game. This is a bit sad. It should also be possibly to set players from club to free agent.

I like the Be-A-Pro concept. It is something I have been waiting for in many years, and it kind of satisfied me. I haven’t completed a season yet, but as far as I understand, there only is one season. That’s a bit sad. Still I would like the game to do substitutes for me, and maybe even switch my player out. It would be more realistic. And I shouldn’t have the rights to pick out the starting elleven either. It would be a lot of fun if it was possible to do transfers too.

The manager mode is still something I don’t play. It looks just like the same as last year. The pre-season is bad. There should not be possible to arrange friendlies with rival teams. It looks easier to sign players, but the contracts is unrealistic. The contract lenghts should be like real; if Robbie Keane has signed a five year deal, his contract should not expire in two years. And this should also be possible to set at the player edit screen. I’m not sure if it’s possible to edit players hair and such, but it should be, many players does swap hair styles.
There should be international matches more often, and the players should be more exhausted. I also think the players should be more often injured. In a real match, players always gets a injury, and needs to be transported out of the pitch, often they come back in the game in about five minutes. It should be like that. The referees and substitutes should also be visible during the match.
I would have been quite happy if the manager mode could be played with more than one manager.

In create tournament mode, there should be possible to set qualifying, and seeding. In the real Champions League, there is a couple of qualifying stages depending on your seeding. And in the group stages there should be possible to not get same nation teams in the same group. It takes quite a lot of time to randomize the groups until it looks allright.

Offside traps should be in the game. The game would be even more realistic if I could tell my defenders to do an offside trap. Of course it is a risk, while some of the players may be forgetting about it, and my team may be conceding a goal because of him.

Except from this, I think the game is good. But I hope you will put a bit more effort in this next year, this year it didn’t look like you had done too much.

I think create team could have more function like the design of the uniform. Now, it is so limited. The shirt does not even have the logo of the team. The team uniform making in fifa 07 is so boring. I wish the fans would move out of their seats and walk around or cheer. In fifa07 & 08, they all just seat down there like stones. When a player scores a goal, usual reaction of the fans are getting out of their seats. Make the career mode able to expand stadium. They should have J - League and Russian League. Above all, I wish fifa could have better fans and better customising of own club uniform(and face of made players).

-In manager mode,you shouldn’t be able to manage big teams in the first. It’s impossible to see a 30 years old manager in a team like AC Milan.
- Also brilliant managers should have the opportunity to manage national teams by offers made to him.
-the World cup of clubs in Japan should be introduced in manager mode.
-have the option to make friendly tournaments with some other clubs in the beginning of the season and to set training programs for the team.
-realistic overall of players.
-when you win ten leagues trophies you can add a golden star to your team’s crest and on the kits in a team like AC Milan.
-ECC and EFA should have their real names.
-have the ability to warn any player who isn’t doing well.

-more leagues specially African leagues (ex: Egyptian league ) and African championships .

I wish we could be more capable of designing a nicer, better Own Team uniform. In fifa07, it is so limited and boring. The fans should also move around and get out of their seats. real fans get up when a player scores.There should be a stadium expansion in career modes.I want to make created player more like what i look like. It is so ugly. Fifa should have Russian League & J League.I want more availiblility when making own team uniform and creating players(at least created player born in 1993). I think when you create a player you should be able to put like the total 90s on them and you should be able to mange your country.

in carer mode you should be able to loan players for a month and that not a whole year

More cut scenes: when there is a bad tackle for instance more and diffrent cut scenes they all seem to be the same, but this year i think fifa have done very well, a really big improvement from 07.

i am fed up with the stupid disagreement between the commentators and them always being the same ones
for an instance if you have a long shot they say , ive never seen him score from there before, yet in a previous match i scored from a similar area, also when shooting and it just going past the post on a wide angle they say it was miles away, the keeper several times just stands there and gets hit in the face, what id love to see is being able to referee a whole season as a way of teaching the rules.
also that when you create a player you can never see him on the mini bar its always a silouete.
id love to have players be offered sponsorship or when they get moved up be alowed access to better boots.
the hair that you can get on players are not realistic enough and you cannot have the styles of hair that many players have for instance beckham style cuts or cisse
My main idea would be for be a pro mode, that you have to start off as a youngster and play through the younger ranks and have to push your way up to a higher level, decide/ perform training sessions, what they eat and how they react to certain aspects of growing up in the world of football and in the eye of the press, to how they cope with injurys and when they decide to retire.
my foot note would be that still you can still not make your players born younger than 1990 which it has been for the past few years from what i can remember while you can have players play younger than that, and also that it is not illegal to have female players in football leauges that men are more acustomed to playing in and i know alot of females who play fifa and would love to be able to add themselves into the game

oh and to round it all off why i have dislikes of fifa 08 is that theyv not fully completed it as ive had shots on goal that have gone miles wide yet they say what a save by the keeper but still give a goal kick, and that on pro mode ive attempted to complete score from a cross but none of the players will head it when i cross it in and on busy corners i get as many corners as needed and it still says ive got none :S

i think they should create a referee/ linesmen mode in fifa where you take on the role as a ref or linesmen. or a referee career mode where you earn money for refereeing and get asked to ref more important games the better your performance is with a 15 year objective say to ref the world cup final. i think being such a popular game having it as a game mode within fifa and not a seperate game would benefit it and also it may encourage young fifa players to consider becoming referees or giving it a go.

FIFA 09 should have more south american club teams and have copa libertadores and copa sudamericana and concacaf teams and add the SuperLiga tournament and remove england’s 3rd and 4th division teams add the ukraine league or more asian or african teams and more national teams and national manager mode
and better create-a-player and teams and a stadium creater and more real life stadiums and make the game harder

fifa 09 needs a world cup mode, and call the ecc, efa and english league cup competitions by their proper names

At me such impression that founders of game FIFA at all do not know about existence of league Niderlandy.1) create league and combined team Holland.2) add some the Russian, Israeli, Croatian football clubs in Rest on World. 3) and make so that the manager could beat as Luiz Felipe Scolari =)))

i think you should be able to play “be a pro” in season mode, start out as a 16 year old in a sunday league side and try to be scouted to a pro side, at the end the aim is to be the captain for your country and lifting the world cup. also you should be able to control your player in training sessions and stick to a health diet. and if the player becomes injured, control them in physiotheropy.

Allow multiple users to play manager mode together throughout the seasons. Move teams to different places like in madden. Be able to change people’s outfits (boots, socks etc.). More variation in weather (ability to see breath when its cold, snow accumulates throughout the game). More alternate jerseys such as throwbacks and champions league kits. You should be able to call different free kick plays and formations, especially from corners and close kicks. More customized celebrations for star players. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

i think that they should make the game more realistis like seeing the referee actually on the pitch as you play and less generic faces

when creating a team and doing their kit it would be nice if there were a few nike or adidas templates

im a big fan of fifa, 08 is a gd improvement, but the gameplay should be more realistic like pro evo then it will sell more, also the game should look fluid eg creating teams and kits. Diving and shit pull should be included. Edit player postions and more attack/defend tactis also must be included.

I think the online-tournament mode is very unfair.
When you have a match and your opponent is offline, the game will be siumated. But that is not fair. you can take the best team and go offline. Then you win the tournament because all gameswould be simulated and the best teamofcourse win.

I think it would be better when the player who is not online loose the match.

my idea is that ea improve the manager feature and make it just like the game fifa manager 08 and eliminate that game or just make that game available to next-gen consoles. Also, and this is a request, please add the chilean league to FIFA 09, the league is very competetive and last months has improve very much because of the contract of Marcelo Bielsa to the national team, it has very good teams such as U. Catolica, U. de Chile, Colo Colo.

I have fifa 08 and have had many before 08 the main thing that i would like to see in the next version like liam said is to do with realism. I know fifa is a fairplay game but a diving/faking system needs to be implimented. you should be allowed to take a dive and win free kicks or get booked and fined for diving. :P

why have they decided to take Pananthanikos off Fifa 08? Just because they had a bad season, they would never in a million years take off Liverpool or Man U if they had a bad season. And Shatkar Donetsk aren’t on Fifa 07 or 08.

One cheap thing my friends do is the the through lob, holding the buttons down for a while. It goes straight to the forward from the goalie with astounding accuracy. This almost never happens in real football. At least limit the length this pass can go. The other long passes can stay though.

Also Greek , Argentinian, and Russian leagues need to be added. Any other leagues are not even worth adding, since all the quality leagues would have been covered.

awesome game,,, but must ask, why have peoples overall numbers been changed so drastically??
eg. Jose Reina (liverpool) is now 84 when in fifa 07 he was around 89 of 90 after 3 or 4 seasons of growth….it says in ‘player growth’ that his OVR will be 84 for the next 6 seasons …so whats with that???
eg. Harry Kewell (liverpool) is now 76 but in fifa 07 he was 83 and going down one every season..
eg. Xabi Alonso (liverpool) is now 84 and won’t grow anymore…but in 07 he started off around 80 and got up to 88 after 3 seasons…why the big change…
and transfer fees are suddenly ALOT less…why aren’t they worth as much as the fifa 07??

I think you should at least place the Last Year’s Champion Team of the countries that don’t have leagues, fall into the rest of the world category, and have their National Team on the National Team list.

And also PUT A CREATE TEAM OPTION FOR ALL VERSIONS (PS3, XBOX360, PC, etc). Then everyone can create their favorite team and stop complaining about “Why is “some team” not in the game????”

All you have to add is a Superstar mode like in Madden. You should be able to create a player, then have him do drills and based on the results of the drills, a team will want to sign you. You can then go about playing as the created player. Have the view like be-a-pro mode in 08. That is the only thing that FIFA is missing.

i think u should add the argentinian, russian,greek and japanese leaugues, i see people asking for iranian , but i’m personally not familiar with that league, i would prefer saudi league, which has had more success internationally. add more african teams in the rest or the world league and south american ones. Pick the most popular ones from each country in south america just research it. For example 2 or 3 in each like in colombia: America Cali, millionarios, Atletico Nacional; Ecuador: Barcelona, El Nacional, Liga de Quito; Peru: Alianza Lima, Universitario,Cienciano,; Chile: Colo Colo, U de Chile, Universidad Catolica; Uruguay: Penarol, Nacional; Paraguay: Cerro Porteno, Olimpia. I know sometimes there is not enough space for everything but I hope this helps, at least with those teams the game players can recreate some kind of americas cup or something using the other leagues that are in the game already plus the argentinia one. Great job with the european leagues but concentrate a little more in south america, remember that after europe south american leagues are very competitive. Adding a little more asian and african will be great so at the end of the each season if i take my team for example, to win the uefa champions league I can then go on and dispute the title for best club in the world, like the do in real life in japan every year. thats all thanks. chris

this new game should have all of the south american selections, and the most important teams of each country(at least for “sale”)(argentina: boca juniors, river plate; chile: colo-colo, universidad de chile, universidad catolica; peru: alianza lima, sporting crystal, universitario de lima; etc.) that way south americans will be most likely to buy your game.(if you dont at least put the crests so i can make them myself)
you might as well improve the crowd. like booing at the “betrayers”(players who got transferred to their arch-rivals) leaving the stadium when the team is losing. players crying when losing a final.manager complaining to his players.

more commentary: add variety. maybe many relators.

and please make a better club creator. and you should create a way to find your teams crests on the internet and use it on the team creator.

improve the goalkeeper. in fifa 07 he is stupid

at corner kicks you can shoot the ball and make it go over the line without leaving the field off the line. this never happens, corner kicks should always have curve(except star players, which would have less curve)

The Be a Pro mode should definitely go deeper. Such as starting out as a no body and trying out for different clubs. You should be able to sign with teams that want your services and pick up sponsors and endorsements. It should get really involved with off the field action and training.

Be a Pro is great, I’d like to see it implemented further, being able to play tournaments and such. Also, add Celtic Park!

I think for fifa 09 you can have a mode called ref mode. Ref mode is were you can be the referee and give players yellow cards, red cards, give teams penalties and free kicks ect.
Just like real referees do!

In FIFA 07 and 06 in the Fan shop you could unlock video highlights from various leagues (Premier League, Serie A etc.) I was disappointed not to see this return in FIFA08 (especially as i was wanting to see a clip or two of West Ham’s great escape). But the video’s were also great to get a glimpse of some of the leagues that I can’t get access to in real life (German Bundesliga, French Ligue 1).

The videos were the major thing I wanted to unlock in the fan shop, and I was very disappointed not to see them as unlockable on the PC version of FIFA 08.

I’d like to see the offside rule implemented slightly differently, similarly to how it is done in Football Manager.

The referee actually has to see the linesman’s flag (or if they are turned off, then a small time delay) where the player thinks that they are onside. This way there is more emotion in the game. This could also be added by a few new commentary lines that are all too common nowadays such as “he’s through on goal, but it won’t count because he’s offside” and even have the players start celebrating before realising that the goal has been disallowed. This is one thing that I would dearly love to see in FIFA, as it occurs a fair amount during real-life football matches, but never in the FIFA games

I’ve been looking at some interesting leagues and one that I have noticed is the Serbian League. Lots of talented young players!
Or atleast Red Star Belgrade (Crvena Zvezda) and Partizan Belgrade in Rest of the World…

I think in be a pro mode you shouldnt be able to be the manager and u have to go to training and play well and if u dont you wont be picked for the next match and if u dont peform in matches u can get sold and move to other clubs

Have on manager mode a thing where you can do training everyweek and the players who play well shoud be picked. Also it should get big sponsers for manager mode like samsung and aig.

the gameplay is not good enough unlike pro evo thats the type of gamplay you need, the gameplay has never been good, so this would be very good for the future of fifa games.

I have never been a fan of fifa… even though it has license for this and that. A waste of money. Its not about graphics. Its gameplay. The most “perfect” and currently best soccer game has got to be winning eleven series. Fifa series gameplay is like playing rugby where u can just dribble the ball to the opponent post without having to pass… It feels sooo rugged and a bore. Only good things bout Fifa is music and intro scene. Tackling seems more like wrestling. It is more fun watching paint dry and metal rust then play fifa series. The more it goes. The worse it gets. Its more fun to play maths blaster than fifa. Christiano Ronaldo would be like ” Damn?! My face is gonna be on the cover of this shitty game. No shit. Plastic surgury time.. !”

I bet even Mr T wouldnt know how to master the controller with soo much buttons combo involved. If Stephen Hawking could move, he would say ” Damn.. Id rather be crippled than play this crap.”

also can your transfers be up to the deadline because they are only up to 25th of august and there were quite a bit of transfers left to do and add a create international team please then you can add something like serbia and get the serbian players from their league teams and put them in the international team

I think on the next game there should be a mode like there was on FIFA 05 where you actually had to prove yourself as a manager before getting to big clubs. However the current manager mode should be left on the game for those who want to start big.
Another addition should be a career Be-A-Pro mode where you pick one player and play as him for his career. You play when you perform and sit when you don’t. Teams can transfer you and you can negotiate for bigger contracts and more years, etc.
This is just the beginning of my ideas. Ill post more later.

each countrys crowds sound different and i think it is about time that EA acknowledged this its starting to get on my nerves. For evreyone that watches euopean football e.g. champions league, you will all realise that the spanish/ portugese crowds sound alot different to the english/scottish crowds when celebrating. I think this is something which neesd some urgent attention by EA and not all teams should have the same damn english crowd sounds!

2.
I agree with one of the ideas someone else posted, that in manager mode things such as stadiums can be customly expanded E.g. new signs , colours , capacity etc. Also i trhink it would be good if the kits could be edited, i know that because of copyright reasons etc that different sponsors and brands etc cannot be changed but maybe the shirt layout could be changed within manager mode e.g. the coloyur of the kit , the style and the positioning of the badge , sponsor etc.

3.
Should have referee’s and linesman on the game. Don’t why EA havent bothered with this? Konami have managed it , surely isnt that hard to add a ref to the pitch?

referee’s should get interrogated for bad decisions! and i think they should bring the diving system back like on fifa 99, i think this would appeal to a large variety of people and simply because thisd sort of thing is widely used in todays game.

we should actually see the substitutes interchange, by giving each other a high 5 etc. insted of seeing a player run on and off ( dosen’t look realistic) also occasional glimpses at the managers facial expressions , e.g. when a player misses a penalty in the cup final or when someone scores in teh final minute.

My ideas for FIFA 09 are that you guys should add more South American Legues and add some Asian Legues. Add more national teams and do not take the ones away from the FIFA 08. I think FIFA fans hate it when you guys do that. These are some of the first ideas I have, but in the future I will be happy to add more.Last please add Mexico second division

i think that the ability to build own stadiums outside the mangagermode, and use your budget money to build the stadiums visible bigger in manganger mode should be an alternative. I also think that your should be able to search for players age, when you are on the transfermarket in manager mode.

it’s an absolute insult to the game that there are so few stadiums on the ps3 version! although game play is better and there are more teams…this is possibly the worst detailed fifa of all!

I think that more players have real faces and the ea-shoes must go away. it isn’t that hard 2 search wich shoes a player has and the ea-shoes are ugly. The be a pro mode is super its sad its not a season or something like that.

Have a superstar mode like in Madden. You create a player and do training drills and based on how well you do in them, a team or teams of different quality will want to sign you. The playing view should be like in be-a-pro mode in 08.

Also you should add more stadiums like the soccer stadiums in Australia and add the South African league. Add those two things and FIFA will be the greatest game ever.

I play both FIFA series and PES series.
i prefer play FIFA than PES coz it more realistic graphic , great manager mode, and the important thing is fully licenced from FIFA.

I hope FIFA more improve for the gameplay.the several suggestion for FIFA next series:
the injured players should go out pitch than walking around, the subtitution scene should more realistic, the international rules for cards booking.and the CUP seremony? where are the trophies? please create it.

I think you should be able to get new kits and new sponsors in manager mode.

FIFA 09 should have diving! Its a sad part of the beautiful, but its an aspect that everyone does…C. Ronaldo should have the best diving stats.

I think the whole game is great but why is Ronaldinho still on the front cover he is nowhere near the best player in the world it should C Ronaldo and Kaka.
Also some of the players seem taller than in real life like Nani is real tall in the game but quite short in real life.

Well i don’t have many ideas but… Diving when someone tries to tackle you would be a good one. And also a ‘Create-a-trick-mode’, where you put your cursor on the foot and hit the ball: like this you make your own moves because in real life i do stuff during games that i can’t do on fifa :).

Keeper charge up into opposition half (i.e. corners in 90th)

For the ps3 i think you should add so much more such as :
Have the ref and linesmen visible like on fifa 04
Also like on fifa 04 have the same settings for free kick and throwins especially the curve ball option.
Please could you also have unlockable boots for created players and if you wanted to create a team please to make a team for say like under 12’s only or something in a certain division for it.
Or when you choose a team such as Newcastle, make it go in to an extra sub-menu which allows you to choose a season for unders 12’s - the first team. Please add some of my ideas they will make Fifa a so much better game. thanks you

oh and also please can you add a new commentry quotes as most are the same as 07 and please get different commentries such as gary liniker or alan shearer

i think you should have a promote/relegate feature so if you buy fifa 09 and keep it till 2011 you ahould be able to promote/relegate

I think the new “Be A Pro” mode is great, but would be sooo much better if it were like the “Superstar” mode in the Madden Games. Make it so you can choose a current player, create one, or play as a legend. If they are just starting their career (rookies), define their attributes and start them off slow, but make them better as they play in more matches and make better plays. It should be as long as Manager mode, so 20 years from when they start. This would be a superior improvement to Fifa 09. So far, 08 is amazing though, thanks EA!

i really get annoyed because ive gt fifa 06, 07 and 08 on my psp and i had high expactations for o8 on the psp. for fifa 09 on psp, tell ea sports 2 remove the pointless mini games as it well leave more room. PLEASE add the create your own player function, add be a pro mode and for the create ur player make it that u can choose their boots from boot makers such as nilke or adidas. Make the default boots 4 the unpopular palyers something like reebok or puma instead of the crappy ones in 08. MAKE the boots and kits more relistic like un smudge the boots and let the shirts flow and make players like c ronaldo and rooney have untuked shirts like in real life. ALSO for the store add in nike, adidas, puma and reebok boots that u can unlock for use in the player custimisation(WHICH EA BETTER ADD). i guess thats it, EA sports make fifa 09 a memaroble one by adding in some of the functions listed above. Hi, For the next Fifa 09, I want Argentina League!! Please, its a very good league, very competitive. (Remember in this league plays Maradonna, Riquelme, tevez, Crespo and much many famous players around the world :P ).

In game, mmm… The pass still have a lot to improve. But in this version are better, much better than the others…

THIS IS FOR THE PC VERSION! First of all EA has dissapointed me time and time again with fifa 07 and 08. Well heres my tips:

- Do not only improve the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions graphics, but also for the PC, please i know you can do better, just look at PES 2008.
- More things to edit in create a player mode, for example more hairstyles, shirts untucked and so on.
- Improved gamplay when doing fients/tricks.
-Realistic AI. ( Improved running style)
-include this from ps3 version on the PC ( when player runs the shirt jumps up and down)
- REALISTIC HAIR, i dont wanna see pixels, i wanna see hairs.
- And for gods sake improve the crowd, they look like carbord paper. Make them jump up and down, have the team colors, clap when keeper saves a god save, when a player does something cool. Some flares and waving flags.
- More messages to managerlaptop.
- get whole new cinematics, (celebrations and subs cinematics)
- improve the pitchturf, more realistic, and goal net.
- improve the dirt on shirts, eg: when a player fals flat on his back, make the back part of his shirt more dirty if its rainy and little dirty if its not.
- design shirts from scratch(when creating a team) more options on shirt /shorts/ socks design)
- create a sadium mode.

These improvements are crucial on the PC version, if EA really wants to keep its PC customers they should improve this. Belive me i’m not the only one that is dissapointed.

also having more league, teams, players and do better some details of the game, i would like to include for fifa 2009 some modes of fifa street 1, 2, that would make it more fun. And include classic stuff from previus fifas.

I would say add reserve teams that way you can let your weaker players gain some game experience. Also, if there was a reason for keepers to sit out: cards, fatigue, injuries. Honestly, I only have to keep one keeper on my roster and just sell or loan out the rest. If there was a reason for me to leave a second keeper on roster I would, and this would make for more realistic game play. Also, if I were to add leagues that would actually provide transferable players and worthwhile playable leagues they would be as follows:
Romanian League (Liga I)
Chilean League (Liga Chilena de Fútbol: Primera División)
Ukranian League (Vyscha Liha)
Russian League (Russian Premier League)
Czech League (Gambrinus Liga)

Improvements FIFA for 09:

- Referee and linesman on the field

- Make the football seem heavier and not so floaty

- Make the players a bit more responsive to my inputs. Momentum is part of real life but in an interactive game the gamer wants tight, responsive controls

- Improve the shooting so that I feel a genuine and thrilling cathartic connection between my players foot, the ball and the net

- In 08 many awful tackles go unpunished–improve this

- The computer AI scores too many free kicks

- More stadiums

In all countries [except for the US] clubs are known for their fans. Can you please pay some attention to developing the fans. Have them moving around, waving their arms, jumping up and down like in Madden 07 [when it came out on 360]. Also, utilize that Blu-Ray disc man. It has all that space and I feel like its still half-ass. The Wii has all types of little mini games you can play besides just manager or quick game. Like the juggling and the foosball. All this is part of developing in soccer in real life so dont ignore it. Reintoduce the indoor soccer game too. That was in one of the OG FiFA releases which is why the game sold back then anyhow. So bring that back… Everyone loves “no out-of-bounds”. Referees on the pitch needs to happen now too. I come to these fan feedback sites every year and its been requested EVERY YEAR! The game really is missing that authentic feel. There needs to be a little more concern with detail. Lastly, get the reserve players on the sidelines along with the managers AT LEAST in the Kick-Off [quick game] mode. Football games arent played with empty sidelines.

yeah i rekon the shooting should be improved……. well not the shooting but defo the way the keepers save some shots which in reality the keeper wouldnt have a chance of saving. i also rekon that there should be a ref and the linesmen, it seems a bit stupid that the ref just randomly appears to give out a card.

the online play is quite annoying having to go through that whole downloading a squad file everytime you go into a match and also when ur p00ning a guy in a ranked match and they decide to quit on the last min and you dont get any points! such a waste of time.

the be a pro mode isnt what i expected, the gameplay is good enough but only able to play an offline training match? whats that all about, unles theres some way of being able to start a season on be a pro whcih i dont know about then that mode sucks, especially when they let you play a season on fifa 08 for ps2 (which my bro plays on) and they havent put any effort into that but on the ps3 version u get a crappy lil tranin match.

It’s quite good to have so much leagues, but if you look through your voting polls here, you can see that a lot of people choose Russian Premiere League as the addon to the FIFA08. But what I see….There is Australian league…and others. I understand that Russia is a far country relatively to you, so it could prevent you to look watch our football more carefully. Why you make Russia national team so bad,looking through the personalities? There are a lot of good players in Russia. One more point. Why in every part of the game team shedules dates august 26-28 or earlier. Is it impossible to wait 5 days while transfer window close. A lot of transfers could be make in august 31. I hope that requests of gamers will be implement.

Yer make it as realistic as possible. Make a reserve league and youth league, so you are able to pick young kids up who maybe in your accademy. Also add the world cup aswell as under 19 world cup ect. And atleast give every club a different stadium because its becoming boring!

a more technical idea that has occurred to me:

having got right into the asian cup and asian champions league, the weather played a really significant part in things. it levelled the playing field considerably between the teams who had domestic players (eg vietnam, thailand, qatar, etc.) and those who had most of their players in europe (eg australia, japan, south korea)

it would be great if fifa 09 could include things like weather concerns eg. extra humid day, bitingly cold night, etc. to add to the game, and have things like these factor into sapping a player’s stamina.

…and of course, include more asian nations, and teams ;) would love to recreate the asian champions league ;) it’s not the same when it’s just a-league and k-league entries :(

Ive been thinking, and i think you should have “LIVE Commentator Mode” in live play, that would make it really good! And maybe “LIVE Ref mode” Might get a bit unfair, but.. that’s football.

1º There´s no doubt that the southamertican football is one of the best in the world, so i find a big mistake not to include de Argentinian league and the Chilean league, in Chile Fifa is a very popular game and always the fanatics that bought yur game are looking on the web a ilegal patch´s for the Argentinian and Chilean league, you can not blaim them they dont have much choice,

2º Each year the players legs are more like a bodybuilder , that doesn´t look real at all, now a lot of people is starting to play “Pro evolution soccer” because the movements and body shape is more like a soccer palyer ( in the faces you win but thats not the point in this game right?)

Hi guys, the next version of FIFA must add the this feature: the possibility of watching the development of other leagues in the season. In my opinion, I wolud like to see how other teams are doing, the standings of other leagues, which teams are qualifyinf for the Champions League, which team becomes the champion at the end of the season, etc.

- shirt sponsorship for team
-spending limit when first putting players in team according to league
-choose what league to start in instead of choosing just for manger mode
-better badge designs, should be able to put writing on there

Where to begin?
Fifa 2004 and Total Club Manager could be used together, FIFA09 should bring this back as it makes the game far more interesting/in depth. The ball spin control should also be brought back. One major thing that should be worked on is the passing. When you pass a ball, the player just stands there waiting for the ball instead of running to it. Been buying Fifa and all manner of EA games for ages now and seeing as EA have the official Fifa licence, itw about time they actually made a game properly. Fifa2007 on the PC doesnt even have man of the match!!!! Come on guys, get it together!

8. You always underscore teams like Reading for example who came very high in the league tables last season and you only ranked them as a 3.5 star team when they should of been a 4 star team, do not base the ranking system on popularity/if they are a London club.

Oh yes, one more thing, could you add in some different commentators aswell os the current ones as I get rather bored by hearing the same commentators over and over and over again, the end.

You should be able to create your own stadium as this would make Fifa 08 unique from all of the other football games out there.

Something you might want to change is having a variety of announcers, such as spanish speaking announcers. those scottish guys r getting old. also, make it possible to scholl the goalkeeper.

I can’t believe that you added leagues like the australian or the irish and still don’t include ARGENTINIAN LEAGUE (ranked fourth in the IFFHS’s top leagues in the world).
It’s an insult to all football lovers around the world. Even in Europe we could find attractive to play with River Plate, Independiente, Boca Jrs. or San Lorenzo.

you should be able to create your own team to go into a league of your choice, so you get given a budget to spend on players at the start of the season and you automatically get those players if you have the money.

for fifa 09 you need to have leagues such as the ryman league, you you can get those teams up to the premier league. i think that top teams in the premiership and the other top leagues in europe should have their reserve teams and in manager mode you decide to promote the reserve team players to the first team. i also agree with others saying about imptoving the player pro mode so that you start with a small clun. but i also think that you can have the option to start with a top team, play reserve fixtures and then go out on loan to play first team matches, so you come back as a better player and then get into the first team

This is what I think the next FIFA should have:
1.Create Club - You can create your own club from its name, colours, uniform design, emblem design, sponsors and you can transfer all of your fave players to your own dream team. You also have the choice to put them in any league you want.
2. Create Stadium - Like in NFL 06, you can create a stadium for your newly created team. You can choose it’s capacity, type of field surface, choose the region etc.
3. Make it where you can actually see the managers, staff and subs on bench. Make them interact more e.g. managers yelling, subs warming up
4. Make the on-field incidents more realistic e.g. medics bring in stretchers, players can fight etc.

make be a pro your prime target. make it so you can only be the player letting your manager decide if u should be subbed off or kept on. having real practises in the week to improve on techniques. also with the money you get each week u should have the choice to buy shoes, head gear e.g. sweat bands and buy other stuff like cars etc to keep your players lift ur players morale.little details like managers pacing up and down subs warming up crowd fights, and when a player is injured players taking a drink. just put more DETAILS

the game should be able to change the player who throw in the ball, allow goalkeeper to take free kick and penalty. allow goalkeeper to be in other position. Make more room for created players.

theres nothing much to add to fifa 09 but i think that there should be more international teams and in manager mode i think you should be able to manage an international team just like football manager, also i think that the commentators could be a bit more lively and varied for e.g. you should put in spainish commentators and italian ect..

the offsides has got be fixed, just rebuild the entire offside program. also the the commentators are wrong about 80% of the time and I never want to hear Andy Gray again. Great game tho!

I think that you should take more time into making the players looking better from far distances, eg. when you play crespo for inter milan is bald and eboue for arsenal looks quite fat but when you pause and zoom in, they look better. So i think that when you are actually playing, you should make the players look like they do (well better than they do) from close distances. And i also suggest some sort of master league type format like call it the Champions Cup or World Super League.

Although it sounds ridiculous, EA needs to stop making the game so fun and start making it so real. Along with a few other “intangibles” kinda..

Follow the general philosophies of Football

1. Players need to approach the ball when its passed to them.
2. Through balls need to be WAAAAAAY MORE consistent in direction. Often times I want to send the ball through two defenders and instead it sends it outside the defenders which results in a turnover.
3. PLAYERS NEED TO TRACK BACK ALL THE TIME! After a failed attack you might as well let the computer counter for a goal. You get the ball back faster anyways. WHERE’S MY SUPPORT AT?
4. PLAYERS SHOULD NEVER BE OFFSIDE. The only time a player is offsides is when a pass is miss timed. Players don’t run offsides because they just feel like going for a jog.
5. ALL PLAYERS SHOULD BE CLOSING OFF SPACE! Being that EA took out the “Off the Ball Control” I can only control one person at a time [excluding the double team] so the AI should be closing down other passing lanes as well, especially since it seems that the CPU does it close to 70% of the time.
6. PLAYERS NEED TO BE MAKING RUNS! FIFA 07 did a pretty decent job at having the players AT LEAST go forward. In FIFA 08 they barely move. You have to press R1 [make a run] mulitple times for the AI to even respond. Thats pretty ridiculous for a Next-Gen console.

Other additions

7. Referees need to be included on the pitch during the game. This is just laziness. How much more money would it cost to Mo-Cap one referee running back and forth, and reaching into either his shirt pocket or his back pocket. I got a $20 dollar donation if you need it.
8. Chipped and lobbed balls, or any pass in the air, have really suffered a landslide since last season. Can we at least get back to last seasons accuracy? [which wasn't anything great either]
9. The audience needs to be alive now. Its next-gen now, but the audience isn’t even current-gen. Its more like PS One audience [flat and just twitches every now and then].
10. Can we get Clive [Tysley] and Ally [McCoist] back? OR BETTER YET! Why won’t EA SPORTS be the first game to allow you to select you crew? I know its a bit more work, but I think hearing the same guys game-in and game-out is startin to piss me off. Andy Gray doesn’t know what he’s talkin about anyway. hahaha jk.
11. I know the US sucks at soccer, but can we get an DOME Stadium while you’re at it? As far as The States goes, we’re leaning more and more towards “All-Season” stadiums which means a retractable roof. That’s all. Seattle comes to mind.
12. BRING BACK THE “OFF THE BALL” control. That was huge. If EA is going to make the AIs crap then at least give me the luxury to make up for the things they neglected to pay attention to.
13. There’s nothing “Classic” about the new controls either. R2 is turbo? Are you kidding me? I know Madden likes to keep things pretty exotic but R1 is turbo in every other sports game from every other developer. There’s no need to change that. Its not for individuality. Its for convenience.
13 1/2. L1 needs to be “call second defender” not circle. I already adressed how the AIs are crap. So I dont trust my own players by themselves. When “call second defender” was L1 it was easy to set a double team. Now, with that control being moved to circle its EXTREMELY awkward to double team. Actually, its virtually impossible when you just need a quick bluff.
14. Subs, Managers, Trainers, Medics, Security and whoever else that you would usually see on the sidelines needs to be ON THE SIDELINES.

I know doing the Elastico or The Rainbow are all fun to do, especially when you finally get it down and mastered. The problem is there is WAAAY too much focus on the “Fun” and not enough focus on the “Real”. Sure, improving the fans, stadiums, and refs isn’t going to do anything for the gameplay, but HOW OFTEN do you see a rainbow, elastico or any of the other exotic moves included this year’s FIFA actually executed in a game you’ve ever watched? I do know this, everytime I watch a game on television there’s ALWAYS Fans, ALWAYS subs, ALWAYS Managers, ALWAYS Refs, ALWAYS medics, trainers and security. So why worry about the “sometimes” and start worrying about the “always”? And these are things to ADD to the game. Everything in the game right now is fine and perfect. But dont remove anything to add something. You’re not progressing that way. Add more realism to the game [and believe me, there's not much of it] and then FIFA can be as enjoyable as it was in the past.

I think The EA Sports game FIFA (which by the way I buy every year) should stop having such a commercial face, for example it is obvious that the creators or the sponsors of this game are english since there are 4 different divisions of english leagues! In fact it shouldnt be a problem for anyone to have all these english leagues since you arent forced to use them, but really annoys to see so much english teams when they dont even have the best league of the world. What really annoys is to se so bad teams(like English second division teams) and not being able to use much greater teams which actually exist. Also I need to assure this game has a european perspective with exceptions of the Mexican and American (MLS) leagues which by the way arent the best leagues in America. I am costarican and of course I would love the see the “Primera Division de Costa Rica” in the game but I know and I must accept there are better leagues like the argentinian league which must be in the game first. Although I must assure there are worse leagues and worse teams which are actually in the game which are worse than the costarican league or its teams.
Then the Rest of World teams number must be expanded, if you consider for example the costarican league a bad league (which sure isnt and is greatly improving) at least try to put the best teams of its league like Liga Deportiva Alajuelense which was Concacaf club champion or Deportivo Saprissa which went third in the first Clubs World Cup or Puntarenas FC which is the former central america champion. But I dont say this just for the costarican teams I am also talking for the South American people which are also unable to see their teams in FIFA game and surely there are south american teams which desserve to be in the game and also other central american teams.
Then I share the opinion the referee should appear in the field although I think it is not the most important thing to improve.
The international teams are also very badly chosen or maybe again comercially chosen. With the FIFA 07 it was very sorry to see several teams which didnt qualify for the FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 in the game (eg. Austria, Belgium, Greece, North. Ireland) but couldnt be able to use several teams which DID qualify for it (eg. Costa Rica, Ivory Coast, Angola, Togo, etc.) this was impressive since it is a truly lak of respect for these nations since they truly earned the best places in the world.
To finish what I must complain of is the continous errors we experience as game players. It is very annoying when the game pauses making a strange noise in the middle of a game and your only way out is switching back on the console.This must be your biggest concern since I experience this problems since the first FIFA game I bought which was FIFA 2002 and I buy it all the years since then and in all its versions I experience similar errors which I dont experience with any other game.

Consider putting more American teams, like south american and central american teams in the rest of the world section and in theinternational teams.

In scandinavien should there bee more leagues in Denmark fx. is there only SAS Liga and there are not any other leagues so after every season is it still the same teams my idea is why don’t make 1. division and 2. division in Denmark and in Sweden..

on fifa 05 when you took free kicks you could aim the ball and decide where on the ball to hit it and you could see the icons on screen that should be brought back its too hard on fifa 06 to fifa 08 to score free kicks

though there are no matches in june or july you should be able to go through these months week by week so you have more time to sign players.

They should have all the official stadiums of each football club at least in the barclays premier league and all the other top leagues.
They should (in manager mode) have after match intervies like in real life, so you could get to select say your comment out of three chioces that the playstation gives you and if you say good ones your teams morale will go up and fan support and the boards support, but say negative things then your support and team morale will suffer.
It would also be good if you could have your teams club song or your national teams national anthem sung during the international games.

I think Fifa 09 should beat pro evo now… its about time Fifa should be brought back on top. So here are my thoughts… forget the teams, forget the stadiums… its about time the crowd got alive!! they look like cardboard!! Lets give them faces, lets make them wear some merchandise. Lets show these fans when the ball goes out for a throw.

This one relates to crowds…THE MANAGER!! The most important man in the game! lets make him visible. How about we start with subs, when we make a sub why dont we see the manager just talking to him and making hand motions and gestures. This would bring alive our game.

Now its time for Fifa to bring the referee back on the pitch. Isn’t it strange how theres no ref? you make one foul and hes back from out of nowhere!!

Injury’s worry me… no forget the players we want the medical team to arrive on the pitch. These players get injured they walk off the pitch when you sub them. when you arrive at your mobile messages. It says the player broke his leg and will return at (date) you cant walk if your leg breaks. BRING IN THE STRETCHER!!

What about penalties??? We see the team talking but we dont see them stretching, And we dont see the physio’s massaging the legs. What about the manager on the pitch with a little team talk. When penalties are taken we should be able to see a small celebration from the taker if they score but one mainly from the team.

We should get points for discovering new skills. I also think they should improve the co-op season. You guys should make it 10-15 seasons long depending on the players age. We should see them signing autographs, getting into arguments, talking to the manager in his office, and most importantly we get to choose out of 3 statements what your players going to get. The better answer the better morale they get. We dont want to start the game, play the game, end the game and go back to starting the next game. We want a story line!! Lets make a HUGE IMPROVEMENT For FIFA 09. LETS BEAT PRO EVO BUYERS!!

LOL at the idiots who want next gen graphics on the ps2, its a completely different game engine, get a brain. PC should take a step up as most people should have machines that can take it.

Fifa 09 needs:
-More stadiums (Macarena Stadium anybody? )
-Higher level of customization on players (e.g dribbling style and running action). I didn’t like how the “average” body shape looked stubby and fat. More freedom in terms of body shape and muscle mass. Get a fashion update too EA, some of the haircuts in there are just homo. PES have got an edge there.
-Definately the ability to design a traning schedule, i don’t like the leveling up in fifa 08 on ps3, its like playing an RPG except with 20 players to take care of, if you don’t use auto level. Takes too long, setting training programs for the squad, and then assigning certain drills for strikers, defenders, etc. The time spend training up different drills should then be used as a way of allocating exp. points for different skills.
-Expansion of Be-A-Pro mode. I think this already on the agenda. Good work on introducing the concept and working towards that ultimate goal of an online 11 v 11 mode.
-More licenses, teams, leagues, etc. The number seems to go up overall each year so keep at it.
-Making the sponsors appear on jumpers. Now this would be a expensive process for EA as asking nike to put their logo on some made up team could be a stretch. Good idea though.
-Outsource player modelling to indivudal teams based in each country. This wouldn’t cost that much to EA, but player faces and way off sometimes.
-Design a specific interface for PC, utilizing mouse precision. Stop porting PS2 menus with feel clumsy on the PC.
- Rendered videos of press conferences, team meetings, pre and post match dressing rooms.

Points on Fifa 08:
-Loved the new atmosphere and “Arena” home screen. Feels fantastic. Spent 2 hours once just mucking around with Ronaldinho. GOOD WORK.
-Menu system and interface is really beautiful on the ps3. Menu system itself is abit confusing at first but becomes relatively powerful with familiarization. Still room for improvement.
-Graphics are good, but can be better. Stadiums are always full on ps3, i think this was different on the PC demo i played.
-Auto save system was a bit clumsy and I found myself having to re-create players because they were used in a manager mode i deleted. A bug that should’ve been caught in testing.
Other than that, Fifa 08 is a great game to play, very entertaining, beautifully presented and real positive step.

Firstly, I think the PC version should be vastly improved - graphically and physically.

Secondly, a more varied list of stadiums would be very nice. My suggestions: Hampden Park (the home of Scottish football), Ibrox or Parkhead or both, the Maracana, and the MCG (a long shot). Proper stadiums for all the teams in the big leagues (Premier League, Spanish, Italian, maybe German or French) would be fantastic, if slightly unlikely. But if you can have White Hart Lane you can have Fratton Park, eh?

Finally, either increase the number of leagues dramatically or get rid of a few. The presence of the League of Ireland is currently quite absurd, however if the Northern Irish league were added, that would make it alright. The Argentine league is a must since the Brazillian is there. The Russian should be in, being far superior to the Polish for example. And so on.

heey.. been playin fifa since fifa 96, love it!!! but i have some ideas for improvments on 09, for the love of god bring the ref back on the pitch… he seem to be there only when a card is been shown.. refs have a more important job than just book players… and the classic world team.. where is Pele, schmeichel, maradona??? you have ignored a lot of great players…….. and with celebrations: how about signature celebrations? that would be cool… nani with his acrobatic flips, raul kissing his wedding band, etc.. the audience can be improved, they arent the main focus but could be nice if they were a little “alive” if i may call it. have experienced extremely low intelligence on the commentators on previous fifa games(06, 07) but happy with them in 08 on ps3. can get even better, probably give them AI… commentators on different languages would give a boost too the game, i would like Norwegian, in the ps2 version you have swedish but not norwegian?? thats an insult in my eyes..:P when you make a sub it would be nice to see a ref with the board with numbers, an maybe the commentators commenting on subs, etc. the career mode can be made even more interesting! you can do it if you but your back into it! love fifa! will never go over to the dark side… (PES) haha

On ‘be a pro’ mode - if there was an option to control the goalkeeper, so you would play the game through the eyes of a goalkeeper, you would probably need to add a whole new set of controls, but i think it would definately add a new dimension to the game, and something unique to the game.

Create player mode - you should be able customise the running, passing style etc.
Maybe utilise the eyetoy to take pictures of your face at various different angles/expressions to create a more life like face. (maybe not yet possible with the current technology? Don’t know?)

On arena mode (which is quality, by the way) when practicing free kicks, if you had those training walls (metal people figures, you know the ones!)

In game scenes - if you could see the dug out, with all of your subs on the bench, and maybe even a couple of your injured players in the crowd (in suits)

Make it possible for for the goalkeeper to get sent off/injured, all you need to do is make it compulsary to have a sub keeper on the bench, simple!

BRING BACK FIVE-ASIDE from fifa 98, that was great.

the motion of free kick is not very real, when ask a partner to kick it. and add the direct 10 support, because i am using vista, i find out it is not clearer than the xp, so i think it is better make it using direct 10 as the base then add the direct 9 support, then whatever in xp or vista , fifa can show its best images different system, because more and more people would use vista.

The shift from FIFA 07 to 08 gameplay wise was amazing. I think it finally overtook Winning Eleven in most elements of the game. However, not all is sunshine and rainbows. The lack of rendered referees has always been a slight annoyance, when they’re on the field it’s possible for them to interfere with play and if the AR has an actual spot then it may be possible for them to make wrong calls, and have the announcers call them on it after a replay. As a referee myself, I know this happens more than a little bit a thinks this would add a sublime level of realism without taking away from the entertainment.

Also, the referee’s use of advantage is pretty stupid at times, especially in the defensive third. There is almost never any advantage in your own defensive third when you’ve been fouled unless you are facing up field with no one around you.

Finally for the referees, why no straight reds (other than denying obvious goal)? If some guy comes running in from behind and slide tackles, missing the ball, and sending the player flying, its more likely than not to be a straight send-off. One of my friend’s favortie tactics is to foul me outside of his obox, knowing I’m terrible at free kicks. if you create a player den give him real boots like adidas f50 . in manager mode you should be able 2 hold training sessions and c the bench in a match with all your subs and some of your injured players in the stadium. create your own stadium. if you create your own team you can make your own sponsorship or pick one. c the ref in matches. and give the players some voices. when you create the a player u pick the way the guy runs and shoots etc. have a reserve league wer u can take control of them on match day but play them early or later so that they dont intervene with 1st team match play and also create a under 18 league but make it ealry or later so it doesnt intervene with the 1st team either. you should also be able 2 take control of a intrenational team including HOLLAND. include all leagues world cups euro cups and include all footballs lyk champions league ball and f.a. cup other thinks which i have 2 think of.

Talking by my all friends and people in here that play the game, we would like to ask Fifa and EA sports, to add the Argentinian League on the next version of the game. Here in Argentina lots of boys play fifa every day, and every year, we expect that it would be add, cause the game only have 2 teams, in “Rest of the World”: River and Boca. In Argentina, football is not a sport, it’s just a culture. here is the most competitive league, in America, and i think that it have to be part of the incoming game.

Fifa 08 is a great game,and I love manager mode.But I think the way the free kiks used to be in 05 and before was a better way of doing it.The moving bar made it a bit easier to kick the ball on target and not kick it over the bar,despite only kicking it very softly.Also I noticed a few gliches in the commentary,usually after someone had a shot on goal and the commentator said the goalkeeper blocked it when the actuall shot went over the crossbar for a goalkick.But other then that it’s 9.5 out of 10.Look forward to next years version.

hey umm MORE INJURIES ARE NEEDED for manager mode to be realistic… there aren’t enough - look at all the top teams right now…chelsea, liverpool etc. they all have at least 5 injuries with some of them long term. i am doing a manager mode with liverpool and the only injury i’ve had was Torres for about 1 month…that is good but just a few weeks ago, Pennant, Agger, Torres, Kewell and Alonso were missing for liverpool’s first team in real life. It would be a fun challenge if that happened in real life and you actually had to use more than 15 players for the season because they don’t get fatigued at all!!

You should be able to see the manager on the bench with his assistants and subs. there should also be a medical team that comes onto the pitch with a strecher when there is an injury, more red cards because every thime a player of another team has injuried one of my players or commited an offence that should be a straight red they get yellow ive only seen two reds in the 4 seasons ive played due to two yellows there should be more given out.

-Add in shots of the managers during a match or even bench players in the cut screens - would be great in manager mode
-Spruce up the highlight portion of half time and end game
-Thats all for now - I will say that the gameplay has improved from 07 and the way a match flows on the pitch is spot on!

I think when creating a player if your share the same surname as a player then you should be able to add this to your name so that when player the commentary call you by your second name.

We’re sorry, but we have to insist on this: after two World Cup won by the national team and fifteen years of the FIFA Soccer videogame, FIFA 09 should include the Argentinian League, and not only River Plate and Boca Juniors as ‘Rest of World’ teams. Million of FIFA Soccer fans are expecting for it. It has sense: the european leagues are full of argentine players (Don’t do Lionel Messi, Hernan Crespo, Carlos Tevez or Sergio Aguero sound as known names?) and was in Argentina where they started their careers.

Also FIFA 09 should include features that already exist in the Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer series, as perform goal celebration for your created players, add the name comments of the game for custom players that have identical or similar names, ‘fake’ goal celebrations when a goal is scored in off side position, it should be possible to edit any team and his players that the user wants.

Please let us compete all international teams in a World Cup Championship in Tournament Mode and also add Teams from Indian League like……….

Fifa 08 was good but i also brought pro evo 2008 for the first time ever this year and i all though fifa is best for the technices of football players this year on ps3 the facial graphics were crap ie, didier drogba+ fifa allways focuses on rooney & ronaldinho
were as pro focuses on all aspects of the modern day such as :
we don’t want to kids teach to dive but that’s what is happening in the modern day game,so that should be added. There should be officials on the pitch during set-pieces and during the match . Introduce a reserve team but have the choice too see them play if results are going there way for a team morale boost but have the option to see how players for your reserves + acedemy are getting on in a ticker at the bottom of the screen. plus more stadiums ie all of the prem team grounds not stupid generic modern . Some times Hear the manager barking orders to his team. and in be a pro have a season on playstation 3 and with your player sign sponsership deals ie, nike hugo boss stuff like that.
because some of my mates say that fifa is crap compared to pro evo .

i think you should bring the nets closer to the stands as especially in england they are. there not supposed to be in the middle of the feild. add a a referee onto the pitch for god sake. please add the city of manchester stadium.

and a lot more aswell. and stop bloody making headers easy to score from. the keeper should make last minute reaction saves. id also like to see fully comprehensive benchs with the managers and we should see the sub coming off the bench to replace the player.

I really believe the developers should try and improve the gameplay i play both fifa and winning eleven and for some reason winning eleven has better gameplay although fifa has great graphics and licensed to all there teams there gameply brings it down a few points for me. i know if the gameplay improves sell will sure get a boost . I also believe you should make the manager mode more like real live and integrated the champions league in manager mode it would be much better.One of my fav ideas i had for fifa to improve was that they should include international mode within manager mode for example when playing manager mode you get to also pick the international team you wish to control and throughout the season like for example the world cup dates like in june you can get to play the world cup and not only do you get to play but before it all starts you can pick the players you wish to take and it like gives you a list of all the players that can play with that international team and it includes how well there doing in there respective clubs that way you can get help in choosing the players. well thats a crazy idea that i have that i belive would be really fun for the gamers and hopefully you take my ideas into consideration, good luck developers and please improve the gameplay.

Just to expand on the managing of international teams furing manager mode-

I think thats a great idea. To expand on it - why not have international teams approach you before/during/after a season in manager mode asking you to manage their team. Then when that team has a match you have the option to sim it or play it. Your international success could add to your overall rating as a manager which may make you more attractive to other clubs to hire you after a season.

Also why not add an option for clubs to offer extended contracts for you services as manager.

With all that being said - instead of newspaper headings outlining the latest signing or contract extension there should be a cutscreen of say - sky sports reporting your recent contract extension or your latest transfer - that would be far superior.

Also - there should be some sort of way to recognize individual achievements like player of the year, junior player of the year, etc. and keep a running tab on which players are being considered.

1.The New Narrator. Its as is hes bored watching and talking about the game.(Keep Andy though.
2.Thier are little glitches when the goalie passes his line when he gets the ball. Thats a Goal but no one notices it.
3.Wheres the Reff?? He needs to show up in Gameplay.
4.More unlockables. (i.e) classic jerseys and more soccer balls. Authentic ones.
5.Wheres Zidane?? Isn’t he supposed to be in the classic team?
6.What happened to the spanish language. That was really a dissapointment because some of us like the long “gooooollllllllllll!!!” saying.
7.Thier should a training thing like when you go through the cones or flags. Also those free kick boards you stand up.That would be a good one.
8.The Fifa 05 version of free kicks but Only Harder.

Fifa: No matter what others think. What I would love to see again would be the abillity to choose my own country I go for gold. This was in “Fifa 98 Road to world Cup”. It was plain brilliant. An indoor league would be very cool as well.

You cannot have next generation on ps2 or PC (whatever that supposed to mean) as the engines aren’y the same. PS2 is sixth gen and PS3 is seventh generation, which is why htey call it next gen. ONe of the tupidest ideas are five aside and indoor?? Tats why they have fifa street.

The reason PS3 may have more fetures than PS2 is beacause Blu-ray has 40 GB space on them where as DVD’s only have 4.7 GB. this affects the graphics and other fautures. So buy PS3 if you want the best version of the game

Be a pro mode was awesome but i think you should make it more like madden 08. Where you can create yourself practice and see and get put on a team. I know it wouldn’t be original but it would be awesome.

I whant to transfer players from the classic XI, and unlockable club players that have reired in the past 5 years to play for their last club, and to edit players and the commentater still says their name, the FA championship league to have the correct number and lettering style on backs of shirt, you can replace any team in eache league but only a club in the same country as that league, maldini to have an 85 or higher overall, rooney to have an 80 overrall, c.ronaldo to have 83, kaka to have 92, ronaldo to have 75 stamina and a 88 overall, some players to have their shirts out. thank you.

Fifa 08 rocks,for except some problems,as there are less detailed players(Lampard,in PC version and many players) the goalkeepers have only one kit and goal celebrations are damn boring now,please try to introduce something new.

i would also like FIFA 09 to introduce asain leagues(the Indian league,and neighbouring countries,)and thus try to promote football in these countries.

costa rica shouls appear at the 09 they made a big mistake by taken costa rica off the international teams.. costa rica is a team that played the last 2 world cups and should not just appear in the international team, but the costa rican ligue should be there they always strike mexico leagues and MLS in the concacaf cup, Argentinas ligue should also be in the fifa 09.. Argentina s ligue is better than mexican, MLS, Australian, and all the other leagues that appear in england spain and italy second divisions.

For the ps3: I think you should have a christmas mode. So when its near christmas on the arena and training you could have xmas trees as cones etc. also on the soundtrack there would be xmas songs.

When you do a tournement at the end it should show you lifting the cup.That is the whole piont of playing the tournement

I think you must add the argentina league and chilean, and the chilean selection, american cup, libertadores cup.

Fifa 09 should aim to give as many players as possible detailed faces.
There should also be training in manager mode that you can actually participate in rather than you
just hear about how it went and schedule it.

There should be positions that shouldn’t be hard to switch such as left wing back to left wing, but switching from left wing back to forward will require a great amount of versatility.

COPY PLAYERS! I look like Gourcoff in the game, and I have it on PS2. I can’t make myself, coz create a player is so woful I won’t even try it! I have to change poor Gourcoffs name to mine, and make him an Aussie. PPL say that if you can copy, why not make a whole team of Ronaldinho’s. But you CAN do that by making a teem of 90+ players, just they won’t look like Ronaldinho… mind you I’d rather that (horse face ) lol!

Come up with new names for “fake” players. Marco Richards/Micah Bresciano or using the same name over and over and over again (Edghill) gets redundant. New names for players will sound more authentic.

Improve the “player experience”. What i would suggest, is offer different points for the different league, playing time, and importance of match.

for example, John Doe for Manchester United is a regular sub. Just for making the bench he would gain an automatic 5 points for making Man United’s bench. If he were to start he would gain an automatic 10 points for starting for Man United. If he doesn’t even make the line-up he gains a half a point for the training. However, if he were playing for Accrington Stanley the points would be less because he would obviously gain more experience playing for Man Utd than Accrington Stanley.

For the different league he plays in you can say all players playing in the EPL gain an automatic 5 points each game, all players playing in the Eredivise gain an automatic 3 points each game, and so on and so forth.

Obviously, playing in a final would allow a player to gain more experience than playing in a friendly. For example, playing in the Champions League final would be an automatic 25 points while you may play the same teams but in a friendly the game would only be worth 1 point. Scoring a goal would sky rocket you up, say 50 points!

Have more awards and alert ppl bout new players. Have an Under 21 ALL game award, with a dozen players. After this, make all AI teams try to snap them up. I’ve seen 90+ Brazilians play their entire careers in the brazilian league. In real life they’d be in the Europeans giants hand before their 18th birthday!

I think that fifa 08 is quite nice but it would be if you make the graphics better and to lik if somewone gets njured make blood come out make it more realistic

* Be a pro mode: One should only be the player, not the manager as well. I mean, not decide whhen one gets to play etc.

Also, one should begin in some kind of junior team stage. And participate in try-outs for playing with the bigger boys. Or at least not in the A-squad of f.inst. Man United right at once. Perhaps even before the junior team, like in the street corner or something like that?

* In Carreer mode you should be able to invite a potential pirchase (player) to train with your team and try his skills (without seeing any more of them written in numbers than you do now, of course)

I am fan of the FIFA game but I think that it would be better if there was the GREEK LEAGUE and, also, some of the best CYPRIOT TEAMS, like APOEL, omonia, anorthosis. Thus, i think that there should be all the national teams in Europe and the tournament of the European Qualification.

i think there should be more grounds for the lower teams like scunthopre united hull city and the teams in the championship more crowd chants and when you win the cup see the cup for the right cup lifted at the end of the match and play the cup final at the right ground not the home team at home and after near missis at goal or good goals show the mangers reaction and she the coin toss at beging of the match to see witch end your playing to 1st

you should be able to pick ur football boots for a player of your choise be4 the game and design your own football ground for your team or extend the one you all ready have

For starters i think they should include Loan information in the game, So a player would start the game at the club he is on loan with, but then after then loan period ends he returns to the club. Say like scott carson for liverpool, great goalie great potential, but liverpool have to buy him to get him back, so loan returns would be good.

Training should not just be an unseen thing. The user should have to do the training, like running through a circuit, shots, free kicks, all of which are assigned, how well or bad is determined through a score of some sort, a good score or a certain point number reached could increas player attributes, not too keen on this unseen training, i used it in the start but now i dont bother.

When creating a team, we should not have the choice of any player, it spoils the fun, should be that you have say a $200 budget, and you build a squad within that.

Happy with leagues, but we need more stadia, ibrox, celtic park, BMO Field (the most loud and proud in mls).

Also with the player positions, players that are CAM can play on the wings, sure but they do prefer certain sides, as with all players, LB at LM/RM. Why are people like Beckham and Gerrad the same Overall on the left even though they are poor on the left.

Create a player needs to be improved, a lot. Then the be a pro mode, its all right but not every player is a player/manager, let the gaffer decide when your on or when you should be subbed off, otherwise your not a real pro, just a bit of a tosser.

More cut scenes, the one in the tunnel on the PS2, wtf, who the hell is thinking like that, have players checking boots, jogging on the spot, blessing themselves etc. Cut scenes where the manager is shouting, cheering or just thinking. And the celebrations are way to predictable, what ever happend to the rocking the baby, the flips that the african and south american players do.

And for gods sake make the fans seem like ppl rather than lego, a few flares in italy, some scarves and flags. And why are all the cops in the games british cops?

Come on EA, You got the money, the time, the information, lets see some HUSTLE!!!!!

I think that fifa 08 is great but there are a few things that hold it down from being the best Football game. First of all with out a doubt there should be more stadiums i know its easier said then done but how can you not have santiago bernabeu, or white hart lane, Amsterdam Arena and not one stadium in the portugues league for the 360 or ps3. i mean there is so much more but you get the general idea. Then i think the manager mode can have more depth like start with small club work your way up like in the past, and maybe coach national team just all around making more options with players like training, coaches etc.. The Last a my BIGGEST COMPLAINT is who weak the presentation. I mean wow can you think of anything more creative than the players running in lines (which they do during warm up’s anyway). And PLZ after you win a cup or trophy can it be more dramatic and actually fell like you accomplished something (the whole point of the game). I think winning eleven does a great job with this really good lol. But seriously the game is really good this year and with a few adjustments it can be the best

they should add interactive tutorials for free kicks and corners so that anyone can get the hang of it

In FIFA 09 i would like to see more national teams from europe. Such as Bosnia, Albania, etc. as you had in some pervious FIFA’s. Also would like to see more Eurpean Clubs in the game.Clubs from Croatia,Bosnia,Slovenia, and other countires that have not been listed. Creat a player could use a littel more touch up, for example: to wear longs sleaves in cold weather or all the time, same with gloves. That should be one of the options

The Kit stays the same throughout the whole of the 15 years of Manager Mode so you could change your kit every 1 or 2 years, because I just get bored with Manager Mode, And you could make the teams money higher, coz in real life teams have much more money.

I would just like to say, that the improvements from fifa 07 to fifa 08 were spectacular.But there are always those anoying little things that never get changed. my improvements for the game would be the following:
In manager mode, i think it would be quite clever to have a create mode, so you can create your manager and see
yourself on the side of the pitch shouting at the players and pointing in different places. another thing is the
detail. when you sub a player, i would like to see the player who is being subbed on running along the sideliners
warming up, then when the other person comes of they could give eachother a high five.
injuries, should be alot more realistic as in seing the person stretured off.
I think it is sooooo anoying,when you play away against tottenham, that you always play in the stadio des les artes.

it would be brilliant during manager mode, to see your sponcers on the shirts change and also
to be given tthe option of different shirts after two years like it is in reality, so you could have nike and adidas in compition with eachother for chelsea. it would also be great to be able to move stadiums after a
sertain period of time.
lots more create modes would be good, such as create a stadium, create a boot and improve create a
player. Then to use your created player in a career mode of be a pro. you start out in the youth squad and work yourself up the ladder. then decide which boots you want to wear.
also, more boots please…the ea ones arent great. please have all the boots available that the other players have.
improved skill moves would be good, like being able to use the rabona when ever you want.
a proper training mode would be great, not just the arena.
more variations in the animations. the fans dont look like much and they never react well. have them stand up and cheer, have flares go off and let them wave scalves. have them react better during a penalty shoot out beause now the just sit down and do nothing. better chants and them to be more amped between certain teams who are huge and complete rivals with eachother. more warm up animations at the beginning of matches, in the tunnel more variations would be good.
please please please, let there be better set pieces. being able to change the kicker at the kick, to have two or three people at the free kick and being able to take things like goal kicks, kick offs, through ins, free kicks and corners quickly.
i know this is a bit much but by adding my ideas, fifa would be so much better.

On be a Pro, all we get 2 do is have one match, u shouldinclude F.A.Cup, Carling Cup, and leagues from manager mode, also make it in the eyes of the player, like 1st person, dat would be cool…… Also let us build our own stadiums, and name dem. Let us create our own kits for clubs like Man U or Arsenal but let us put the sponsors on…. ignore the copyright rubbish

And also create a stadium, Be a Ref, BE A PRO SHULD BE LONGER, u shuld have press confrences and REAL Stadiums note fake. thx

They should add multiplayer arena mode so you can try passes. At the begining of manager mode you have to pick a sponsor, so when you pick that sponsor I want that sponsor to be on the team kit.

Have a career mode like Madden. You should be able to create a player and then have him do drills and based on how well he does, a certain team will want to sign him. This would make the game the best it can be. Also you should add more stadiums from around the world. Also add more national teams and the World Cup. Thank you very much and have a nice day.

in fifA 08 if you have noticed it is always sunny there needs to be more weather like rain snow overcats for examole and let the ball slide around.Also i think your sponsor should be able to go on your shirt instead of the teams actual sponsor. Also every stadium has the same type of goals i think they should vary it by putting striped nets or tight or baggy nets and nets that go straight down wit no roof in the lower divisons. Also wen you create a player they all look the same, there should be different templates to choose from.ALSO THIS IS THE BIGGEST ONE OF ALL, HAVE A PROPER MANAGER MODE LIKE PS2, SO YOU HAVE A CERTAN RATING MANAGER AND ONLI GO TO CERTAIN CLUBS BECAUSE OF YOUR PRESTIGE.i also rekon oyu shud be able to create your manager and wat he looks like and see his reactions on the sideline.And 1 more thing put training on the calender like ps2, but you actually train and depending on how your players do they get mor exp points and talent. It Shuld be more like fifa football 2004,
Throw ins shuld be close up,
free kicks shuld go back to a target (also in Fifa football 2005),
Even the Graphics were better (and the Gameplay),
But make the players more relistic.

I have some suggestions.

Make FIFA 09 (PC Version) VERY very similar to the XBOX360 version. The menu….the gameplay…..meaning if you have one of those Logitech Dualpad controllers, it will be very similar to the XBOX version. please ,make PC version very similar to XBOX360 version

I would really like to see more realistic events in it such as;
When players get injured medics run onto the pitch
There are refferees and linesmen on the pitch
Free-kicks and Throw-ins should be more like fifa 04
When there is a corner there is more going on in the penalty area such as players pushing about.

i think you shuld have to say y u want the player you want to buy and players wen u create a player you shuld get to put good pairs of boots or you can create your own pair and edit over players

when you play away games the crowd should be more hostile towards you e.g. boos, jeers and whistles. you should be able to control international sides from the start in manager mode. bring training modes back like the ones in the older games. and players should be customizable, if we wish to make the players look rubbish, then thats our choice. but dont stop us doing it all together, you should also kick the ball around (the one in the arena) in a stadium of your own choice e.g. nou comp

I own fifa 08 for Ps3 , and i think its great, with few exceptions. I was really impressed by the realism, in the movements of the players, particulary signature moves. But however i sometimes find players who er more foto-simular in fifa 07. i think that you should focus on the looks of the players, because that was a bit disapointing, with Playstation 3’s oportunities. And there could be more languages to choose between, like in xbox 360. And i have noticed that the audience who sometimes appear in the start, right before kickoff(the ones shown chearing from behind) are the players from the pitch. for an example, when barcelona plays, you see a spectator looking exactly like Puyol, or Henry. And is it possible to make, in the player creation zone, a feature where you can upload a full body picture of your self, and create a player, looking exactly like yourself. I’ve seen something like it in Tiger woods PGA tour 08′.

If you could incorporate some of my ideas, i believe it would be the perfect game! Keep up the good work.

You should make Russian league because in it known players play, more than 3 commands play a group stage of cup UEFA, the Russian commands play to league of champions, the combined team of Russia plays in the Championship of the Europe 2008, in difference from modular England. Therefore it is necessary to include Russian league!

For all pro evo fans to turn to fifa and to make fifa the best selling game you need to include the following things:

Be a pro mode should be like the superstar mode in Madden. You should be able to create a player, and then based on how well you do in training sessions, a certain team in a league will want to sign you. You will then have the chance to be traded and other stuff like that. Also you should add more real stadiums like in Australia and more in Europe.

Fifa should have improved the gameplay years ago because pro evo simply dominates and is generally a much better, more enjoyable game!!! PRO RULES!

at the end of each season u can change the kits and you can actually do training instead of scheduleing it then not actually doing it, the ref is actually visable and u can dive then get yellow carded for it and make there be fights for rough tackles and the players go down the tunnel after a red carded and the managers run on to the pitch for a poor decision and the managers wait for the ref after the game because of poor decision.
